Hey you are making the best videos of this type on youtube. I have watched probably 3000 videos pertaining to ankle or knee injury in the last 4 months, and I thank you.
Had a HAS and tried physical therapy, dry needling, massage and electro-therapy. Over 18 months there was no improvement. On a whim, started doing heel lifts daily. Started with 20. Worked to 50 in 10 days. After 3 weeks all of the pain was completely gone. Has not returned. Try it.
As an individual who had suffered these twists many times in elementary and middle school, I can say the pain was unbearable. You can only limp in pain, your leg gives with each step, and hurt more to just sit down 😣. It would only take a week to recover, that's the bright side 😊.
I got injured a week ago and it was my first ankle injury throughout my soccer career. All I can say is I wasn’t grateful enough to be healthy, this sucks haha. Thank you for the education, I wasn’t very optimistic and I know this is going to be a journey, but I’ll stay confident I can return. I have grade two and orthopedic said I wouldn’t require surgery, so hoping I can heal quick while I’m on a boot.
I had this injury while doing a yoga exercise which implied flexion and rotation of the foot, but I failed and fell onto the floor. I know it is very painful and without rehab. you lose your balance and confidence while walking. Thus this video is very useful because I know what are the best exercises for this type of injury on the ankle., now. Thanks so much E3 Rehab and keep on producing very good stuff like this because it really helps to recover and it is wholesome.
I walked on my ankle for a month. Because the dr was thinking it’s just a low ankle sprain. Turns out I had a high ankle sprain. So I ruptured it and now I’m here dealing with if I have to go through surgery next weeks
@E3Rehab Thanks for your information it was useful and wonderful, 18 months ago I got inversion during a football match however I did an X-Ray but it didn't show anything and the doctor told me that it is not serious go and rest for a few days then slowly start your exercises again after rest I have done after rest when I started doing sport pain started again until it became worse. I have referred back to doctor he told me to do MRI and the following is the result of MRI: 1. Subchondral fracture of dome of talus bone with associated surrounding moderate edema. 2. Mild free fluid in tibiotalar joint space. 3. Sprain of anterior tibiotalar ligament. since that i have used different medicines under treatment of doctor the front pain is solved but still pain suffers me from the right side and back of ankle some them of doctors say that there is no need for surgery it will be ok in the feature but some says that it wouldn't back to its normal situation and also no chances of surgical operation. And one thing to be mentioned that there is no instability of ankle I can walk even run but after the muscles becomes starts its pain looking forward for your kind instructions.
Amazing video. I broke my distal fibula so I got 5 screws and a plate. I also teared the AITFL (not the IOL or PTFL). I was surprised that my doctor DIDNT fix my AITFL since I was already in surgery! what do you think of it? I have been 4 weeks NWB and now slowly walking in a CAMBOOT and crutches. THANKS!!!!
Thanks so much for the videos. May I ask once full weight bearing, did you walk on it everyday? Did you have rest days? How did you process in number of steps? I keep one having set backs.
Hey Doc, thanks for the vid! I recently had a partial tear in my right AITFL. Would you recommend wearing an ankle brace for basketball after my rehab?
Sir, I had one ankle injury while stair down on *July 24th* , and the doctor diagnosed it as a *ligament injury.* A *plaster was applied from July 25th to August 1st,* after which it was replaced with an " *ankle binder"* for the following two weeks (August 1st to August 14th). Swelling persists around the ankle (less than previous).I was advised to *start walking with a walker.* I've managed to walk from room to the washroom 3-4 times a day using the walker, although I still experience some pain in the ankle area. It's been *21 days* and I still can't walk much or give much weight of ankle. I am little bit worried. Please guide me. I am following the RICE method, icing three times a day and using hot water twice a day also.
Great video as always! Can you help me out with a question I'm having? I'm playing soccer/football three times a week and back in December I stepped awkwardly and injured my ankle. I had physiotherapy - interference current therapy + ultrasound therapy (ended it five days ago). And while it significantly reduced the pain in my ankle, I still have issues playing (gave it a little try a couple of days ago). I can run and sprint just fine but there're a few motions that still cause me slight pain and I don't dare make shots with the ball. Is this normal? Do I have to power through it as I kept my ankle mostly immobile since my injury? Should I make more ankle-strengthening exercises before I actually move on to running again?
Hello sir I have complete atfl tear and cfl partial tear and i have done 25 days plaster cast. After removing plaster cast also i have swelling and can i start walking????
hi docs, can you go over sciatica pain? i've had my back stacked on the ground while grappling and now i have constant sharp lower right back pain and dull right buttock pain. no pain in hips or right foot (yet?). would like to know any at-home stretches or therapies. thank you!
I sprained my ankle a few months ago, and now after a few minutes of cardio with many jumping jacks or running, I can feel very sore pain on that same area that got sprained. Is this normal for the soreness to comeback during intense activity?
@@rockon8174 yea but being a athlete and playing on the same college team with russell westbrook in 2009. im pretty sure i strengthened my ligaments. i wonder is it the ligament rubbing over the bone which gives the loud relieving popping sound or its really crepitus

Hi doctor, I play football, I got an ankle injury, I feel pain at the back of my foot when i place my heel on a surface and point my toes down, but I can’t tell which part of my foot is hurt… even when I press my Achilles, my heel and try to reach for my taulus, I don’t feel any pain… I can’t tell what is injured 😢 Please help me

Do you have anything for wrists sore from boxing? Where the back of my hand meets my wrist is a bit painful. Not severe pain but I don't want to damage it further. Just returned to sport after 4 weeks off due to a trapped nerve in my shoulder. I'm 55. Not ready for pipe and slippers yet. 😱😱

@@thegameof_life5519 It must be very awful for you especially having to work on it.
