      Ninja 4eVa lol I laughed at this cause I so feel the depression part I’ve just recovered from one not fully but it’s been 3 days now and I’m about 70-80 recovered and should be back to normal in a couple days. Fastest I’ve healed from an ankle sprain best thing I done was hopped straight of the field when it happened in the past I’ve continued to finish my match only to be unable to walk for a couple days 😂 second was a lot of rest and sleep thirdly was massage and mobility exercises and stretches on the 2nd and 3rd days that’s the key in my experience I did barely any icing I’ve sprained both ankles numerous times enough times for me to lose count. Another thin was the times I don’t ice it that much I noticed I recovered a lot quicker than when I did Rice more. Just an observation hope that helps. Of course ice on the first instance it happens for pain and inflammation but I don’t think you need to ice it much after the first day really

    This is the first video of yours I've seen so far. I burst into tears watching because I felt what I'm dealing with was in my head. I rolled my rt ankle 5.5 months ago. Grade 3 atfl sprain. I think I got that right. I can't point my toes as far as lft one, or lift pointing towards my face as far. In pain every day. I gave up on physical therapy only 3 weeks ago. They wont allow me to use support braces or tape after 2 months, said I would rely on it. Even crossing my legs is to much pressure on the ankle.
    I had an MRI few days ago, seeing an orthopedic surgeon in few days. I think I just need to see an amazingly good physiotherapist like yourselves. Ok off to watch more videos an feeling less scared.

Went over the truck and broke my right leg, compound fracture at the tib, and sprained my left ankle. My right leg now has a titanium rod installed, and my past PT appointments we noticed that my ROM is much greater on my right side than left side. Good video. As a PTA I would like to add though to let people be aware that if you do wear a brace that it should be temporary. Too many people think they have bad or weak ankles so they rely too long on that lace up brace you guys have, then in turn lose the stabilization and proprioception that the brace helps with.

      mamorris23 Re: George Johnson - A helpful hint (how I found this AWESOME channel among dozens of other resources on line) When you do a Google search, click on images or videos at the top of 1st page to refine your search. With images, for example, you can follow it back to the website it came from. Sometimes it's part of power point presentation ( Slideshare.net ) or special interest ( physio, exercise enthusiasts, etc.) and occasionally a physician's webpage & in this case a TH-cam channel.
      That said, clicking on the icon to see everything else they've done & these guys are the best! So much info! ❤👍

    I have recently been diagnosed with a high ankle sprain. Today my PT did an ultrasound scan with this cool machine. You could see ligaments etc like an MRI. I was further diagnosed with a grade 2 high ankle sprain, partial tear of the tibiofibular ligament. I was also diagnosed with tarsal tunnel which I had never heard of. Suggestions for topics would be high ankle sprains and also tarsal tunnel. I was told the swelling in my ankle was compressing the nerve. If you have done videos in those already I apologize as I have missed them. Love your videos. Very informative and helpful. Thank you!

      +physicaltherapyvideo another topic is compression socks. My PT says I am supposed to wear one for the tarsal tunnel. There are different grades and the sizing is confusing. I am supposed to have light compression under 15. But 15 what lol. Also my measurements haven't fit within the off the shelf sizes. I have gone to my local pharmacy and a big box pharmacy. There is an ankle measurement and calf measurement. Which one are you supposed to fit to if one falls in the size measurements but the other doesn't. Never knew buying one pair of socks was so difficult lol looks like I will have to try ordering a pair but how do I know what is a good one that will fit? Some of the online ones go by shoe size but give no calf measurement. Thank you again. Keep up the good videos.

    Great info! I have what they call/ you explained as "weak ankles" (since childhood, for whatever reason) and years ago my right ankle decided to give way...I heard two snaps and found out I tore ligaments and had to wear a splint I was black-and-blue...swollen....a nightmare. Since then, I sprain it every few years. The doctor told me that sprains, like mine, are a lot of times worse then breaks, but Never once, did the doctor suggest therapy.

    • @sethdonahue7452

      If you ever sprain your ankle again that fastest way to heal is to walk without a brace day 1 and you will heal in a few days because your forcing your ankle to heal

    • @LareesieAlice
      @LareesieAlice 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sethdonahue7452 funny you mention that. When I aquired my worst sprain (20 years ago?), the emergency doc splinted it...when I made my follow-up, my doctor seemed upset with the splint and showed me exercises to aquire mobility. However, I found that the condition does tend to progress with age and ironically, with every sprain, the condition tends to become more subseptable for more sprains with each subsequent sprain... not going to lie, I adore platforms, dancing and liquor... I just wished someone advice me of strengthening exercises. Weirder still- I had mini-sprains in childhood..l Recall my ankles giving way for no reason at all..low I know about the agenda, but I digress.

      @sethdonahue7452 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@LareesieAlice well if you ever sprain your ankle dancing or using platforms you can heal your sprains within less then a week every time if you walk without a brace right away you could probably dance after the first day and you will heal just a fast if not faster
