why did Jesus say in Mt 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, *but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven*. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many deeds of power in your name?’ 23 Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; go away from me, you evildoers.’
Context is key: Jesus was speaking to the JEWS OF JERUSALEM about endtime Prophecy long before the gentiles/heathens were added to salvation in acts 10. While Jesus was still living he infact forbids to preach to gentiles as he was not yet rejected by the "lost sheep of Israel" that he came to save first and foremost (Matthew 10:5). Seeing this, the context of that passage is that many Jews (as seen in the Endtime judgment Prophecy of matthew 25) will claim to know God and accept Christ as a prophet/teacher (Lord, Lord: Rabbuni, Rabbuni) but will still reject Christ as Messiah and 2nd Divine Person of God. This is why they say "Lord, Lord" but lacking faith in the cross of Christ (as Jews and Muslims do) will still be thrown into hell.
The key to the statement is the word “iniquity”. Jesus was saying that on judgement day there will be a great many people who believe that intellectually agreeing that He is the Son of God is equivalent to salvation. It is NOT. One who is saved is incapable of living in continual, unrepentant sin (iniquity). Those who do that are deceiving themselves.
@@a-sheepof-christ9027 would they be prophesying in Jesus name, would they be casting out demons in Jesus name or doing deeds of power in Jesus name???? Heb 6:4 For it is impossible to restore again to repentance those who have once been enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, 1 Tim 4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will renounce the faith by paying attention to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, 2 Peter 3:17 You therefore, beloved, since you are forewarned, beware that you are not carried away with the error of the lawless and lose your own stability.

@Aoife Oherlihy, Do you have ABSOLUTE assurance that when you die you will go to heaven? Have you done enough works to enter into heaven when you die? How many "good works" do you have to do to go to heaven? How will you know that your "good works" will out way your "bad works?" Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God not of works lest anyone should boast. What work can you boast of that qualifies you to go to heaven? Titus 3:4-5 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to His mercy He has saved us through the washing and renewing of the Holy Spirit He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior. What will happen to you if you sin before you die and you can't get to a priest to confess your sins? Do you go to hell? 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and One Mediator between God and man the Man Christ Jesus who gave Himself a ransom for all. What is the number of works you have to do to receive forgiveness and go to heaven?
Mgirl h, with all the love in my heart I advise you to get a Bible. We are given the opportunity to complete the divine mercy each year which is a 9 day novena, confession and body of Christ on divine mercy day. Get the divine mercy handbook, very powerful on advice. yet you do not have to, you are like muslims demanding a christian show where in the bible Jesus said i am God, worship me. Through the actions you show the sacrifice of our Lord is not enough, there is no need to more than 1 sacrifice.
According to Catholicism, Jesus was not the all sufficient savior. Every Sunday you need to partake of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ which is the same sacrifice as on the cross. CCC 1367: “The sacrifice of Christ and the sacrifice of the Eucharist are one single sacrifice: "The victim is one and the same: the same now offers through the ministry of priests, who then offered himself on the cross; only the manner of offering is different." "And since in this divine sacrifice which is celebrated in the Mass, the same Christ who offered himself once in a bloody manner on the altar of the cross is contained and is offered in an unbloody manner. . . this sacrifice is truly propitiatory." And if you do not, you can not have salvation according to Catholicism CCC 1129: “The Church affirms that for believers the sacraments of the New Covenant are necessary for salvation. So according to Catholicism, Jesus can not atone for all your sins. 1 John 1:7: “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.” Transubstantiation is a heretical doctrine. In the Catechism CCC 1374-1378, it is believed that the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ is truly in Eucharist. Catholics take John 6:53 literally and that is why the Catholic Church came up with this doctrine that every Sunday u sacrifice Jesus again and take him down from Heaven and take his flesh and blood and eat and drink it. But there is no flesh or blood in Heaven. 1 Corinthians 15:50. Jesus was sacrificed once and for all. Jesus did not endorse cannibalism. Jesus’s blood was not shed yet at the last supper. Jesus turned water into wine John 2:9 not wine into his literal blood. Jesus said these things I say to you are Spirit and life. John 6:63. Hebrews 10:10,12,14. The priests keep doing sacrifices every week like but it is not sufficient nor necessary Hebrews 10:11. To think that for 1250 years only 12 people had life in them is preposterous. It is symbolic. Jesus said he is the bread of life. John 6:35. Jesus said he is the door. John 10:9. Jesus said man shall not live by bread alone. Matthew 4:4. Jesus said give us this day our daily bread. Matthew 6:11. Jesus is not saying we have to eat bread everyday or only bread. Jesus is saying it as Spiritual food, not physical food. Jesus gave it as physical food to the Israelites back then but not now. Now it is and it has always been Spiritual. Transubstantiation according to Catholicism is, “When the priest announces the words of consecration, he reaches up into the heavens, brings Christ down from His throne, and places Him upon Our altar to be offered up again as the Victim for the sins of man It is a power greater than that of saints and angels. The priest speaks and lo! Christ, the eternal and omnipotent God, bows his head in humble obedience to the priest's cornmand”-Priest John O’Brien. Catholicism is a religion and they preach religion, not relationship with Jesus. Read God’s word, not man’s word. God bless. Repent and trust in Jesus
Gedron openly and explicitly condemns the early Church Fathers as "apostates" because they sound too Catholic. Why is it not more plausible that Gedron does not understand Christian history and is therefore blinded by prejudice. Ι am amazed as well about Catholics not knowing theology, but the majority of Post Reformation Christians are just as ignorant of the Scriptures as the Roman Catholics. The comments on the above video convey a message that Baptisims are not needed, in Early Christianity not being Baptized was the exception, not the rule, for those who know how to properly read the Bible in light of Apostolic Teachings, recognize that the Sacrament of baptism is an important part of one's Salvation, Baptism is very important! I am saddened when I see Bible believers picking and choosing what Scriptures to believe, often out of context! I often hear people say that God poured out his wrath on Jesus during the crucifixion. This Theology is nothing less than a butchering of Ancient Apostolic Christianity. There are no such supporting documentations in the Scriptures or Apostolic Teachings for God pouring out his “ὀργῆς” wrath/anger on Jesus? As one who believes fully in the Scriptures, I am troubled by this blatant disregard for Scriptural and Apostolic integrity in Western Fath Groups. I feel we should never add eisegetic commentary to The Holy Scriptures, sadly, the misuse of Scriptures is running rampant in the world. A Point about misuse, as I read the Bible an hour ago, I noticed the word baptism. I am truly at a loss for words, How so many Post Reformation groups overlook the actual words of Jesus, “Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” Matthew 28:19. Thank you guys for doing excellent work spreading the truth. There isn’t a single scripture that shows Peter exercising authority over the apostles. He was not a Pope. Peter called himself an elder which is a pastor. *1 Peter 5:1* If he was a pope, he wouldn’t self-identify as a pastor.
Obviously Peter did not use the word "pope" at the time, nor did anyone else. The title, which comes from the word "papa," came centuries later. Nonetheless, the proofs in Scripture that Peter exercised authority over the early Church is abundant.

“…They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them” 1John 4:3 Sounds like the Catholic Church trying to conform to the world and say what the world wants to hear.
Your description is that of Protestantism, which continues to change & break away. The Catholic Church has been around since the beginning. Protestantism arose some 1500 years too late to be the Church.
The complete paragraph: "The sacrifice of Christ and the sacrifice of the Eucharist are one single sacrifice: "The victim is one and the same: the same now offers through the ministry of priests, who then offered himself on the cross; only the manner of offering is different." "In this divine sacrifice which is celebrated in the Mass, the same Christ who offered himself once in a bloody manner on the altar of the cross is contained and is offered in an unbloody manner." (CCC1367)
As the New Testament clearly elucidates, Communion was provided to honor the memory of Christ's suffering for us in offering up His body for our salvation. It also states there is one divine sacrifice for redeeming our sins on the cross and no other and then it was finished, not wherein another is continually performed by a priest where "the manner of offering is different." We are not commanded to worship the 'Host' in the same way we worship Christ in prayer. That is not biblical.
@@alwilson3204 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to his disciples said, ‘Take and eat; this is my body.’ Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, ‘Drink from it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins.’ (Matthew 26:26-28) Whosoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. - (John 6:56). On the night before He suffered and died on the cross, Jesus shared a last meal with His disciples and instituted the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. Each time we go to Mass, we prayerfully participate with the priest who celebrates what Jesus did at the Last Supper. Acting in the person of Christ, the priest consecrates the bread and wine and it is changed, by the power of the Holy Spirit, into the body and blood of Christ. This change is called transubstantiation. The transformed bread and wine are not merely symbols. They continue to look like bread and wine but they are not; the substances change. They truly are the Body and Blood of Christ. Jesus is present to us in many ways, in his Word, in the poor, when two or more are gathered in prayer, and in the Sacraments. But only in the Holy Eucharist is He uniquely present - Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. This is what we mean by the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. The consecrated bread and wine remain the Body and Blood of Christ, even after Mass when some of the consecrated bread has been reserved for other uses, such as for distribution to the dying or the sick, or for adoration when it is exposed in the Rite of Eucharistic Exposition and Benediction. The Blessed Sacrament is kept in the tabernacle, which is why it is customary to genuflect before the tabernacle when in its presence. By dying on the cross, Jesus sacrificed for our sins. Through the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, we are joined to that sacrifice and receive its benefits. At the Last Supper, Jesus took bread and said, “This is my body.” He took the wine and said, “This is the cup of my blood.” Think about that the next time you are at Mass. Jesus is now truly present on the altar. Think about it, too, as you return to your seat after receiving the Holy Eucharist. You now have Jesus Christ inside you!

You find the word ‘catholic’ in the Bible at Acts 5:11 and Acts 9:31. ‘Catholic’ is a Greek word, of course, so you need the New Testament in Greek if you wish to see it. The phrase "Kata holos" is lost when translated from the original Greek into English. In English, at Acts 5:11, the phrase "holos[en] ecclesia” or the “whole entire church" is found. In Acts 9:31 the English may render “the church throughout" but in Greek it is "Ai men oun Eccelesia kath holos" which literally translates as "Then truly the Church Cath-olic”; reading in its entirety: “Then truly the Church Catholic rested in Judea and Galilee and Samaria and were edified and walking in the fear of the Lord and comfort of the Holy Ghost were multiplied." - Acts 9:31. “Kath-holos’ means universal, of all nations, throughout, of the whole. It is a good description of Christ’s church. After all, Jesus said in Mark 11:7, “My House shall be called of all nations the House of prayer.” Rom. 11:18, 21 “Do not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you . . . 21 for if God did not spare the natural branches, *He will not spare you either* . He writes his own condemnation for all to see here forever as the synagogue of Satan. By his stubbornness and impenitent heart, he is storing up wrath for himself for the day of wrath and revelation of the just judgment of God, “who will repay everyone according to his works” (Rom 2:5-6). SACRED DEPOST OF FAITH: The words of Christ are true to the deposit of faith handed down in word and spirit John 14:26) entrusted to his true believers, believing with their whole heart and life, (2 Tim. 1:6) by the laying on of hands. “First of all know this, there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation, 21 for no prophecy ever came through human will; but rather human beings moved by the holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God” - 2 Peter 1:20-21. God’s written word indicates that no prophesy is a matter of personal interpretation, for no prophesy ever came through human will . . . so we are not to rely on our own interpretations alone. When we rely on ourselves only solo scriptura can become our idol, and what prevents someone from picking up the Bible and making it say whatever they wish it to say? Nothing at all for as Jesus says: ""You search the scriptures, because you think you have eternal life through them" John 5:39a, and continues to say that "they testify on my behalf". The apostles appointed people entrusted with the deposit of faith (1 Tim 6:20; 2 Tim 1:14; Jude 3) to preserve the faith and feed the sheep (Jn 21:17) to the end, and the gates of hell will not prevail against those (Mt. 16:18). "19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, TO THE END OF THE AGE.” - Mt. 28:19-20. “Without parables he did not speak to them, but *to his own disciples he explained everything in private* ”. - Mark 4:34. “He said to them in reply, “ *Because knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven has been granted to you, but to them it has not been granted* .” - Matthew 13:11 “Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, *he interpreted to them what referred to him in all the scriptures* . . . *Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures* .”- Luke 24:27, 44. 26 The Advocate, the holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name- *he will teach you everything and remind you of all that [I] told you* . - John 14:26. “The hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures but *I will tell you clearly about the Father* .” - John 16:25. “And so I say to you *you are Peter and upon this rock I will build my church* and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.” - Matthew 16:18. 7 Of this I became a minister by the gift of God’s grace that was granted me in accord with the exercise of his power. 8 To me, the very least of all the holy ones, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the inscrutable riches of Christ, 9 and to bring to light [for all] what is the plan of the mystery hidden from ages past in God who created all things, 10 *so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church* to the principalities and authorities in the heavens. - Eph. 3:7-10; 1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, to the holy ones who are [in Ephesus] faithful in Christ Jesus . . . 9 *he has made known to us the mystery of his will in accord with his favor that he set forth in him* 10 as a plan for the fullness of times, to sum up all things in Christ, in heaven and on earth. Eph. 1, 9. 1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, 2 to the holy ones and faithful brothers in Christ in Colossae: grace to you and peace from God our Father. . . 24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ on behalf of his body, which is *the church of which I am a minister in accordance with God’s stewardship given to me to bring to completion for you the word of God* , 26 the mystery hidden from ages and from generations past. But now it has been manifested to his holy ones. Col. 1, 24-26. “Surely the Lord GOD does nothing Unless He reveals His secret counsel To His servants the prophets.” - Amos 3:7. “28 The hidden things belong to the LORD our God, but the revealed things are for us and for our children forever, to observe all the words of this law.” - Dt. 29:28.

@@mitchellosmer1293 I was talking about what you have written. You are not trying to inform, it seems you are trying to confuse, twist. Jesus doesn't do that
Unfortunately, I think Mike has misunderstood various Catholic expressions of faith and the gift of salvation. I'm not Catholic, but I plan to be. Firstly, I've always questioned Catholicism's apostolic succession and divine mandate of the Magisterium. But when Jesus declared Peter the rock on which He would found His church, He did so after asking: Who do you say I am? And Peter responded by saying the Messiah, the Son of the Living God. And then Jesus said that Peter was blessed because it was revealed to him by God. That is the beginning of the Catholic church and apostolic succession. And, I think that Catholics accept the idea of divine revelation/interpretation amongst the Magisterium and Papacy because of that divine revelation to Peter, the first Pope. That does not in any way mean that everything declared by the Catholic church is true by any means, but it does mean, that after solemn consideration, on matters of faith and morality, that God reveals His Word to the head of the church, and to us, by allowing the church head to guide us just as Jesus did. The Catholic church has been led astray through our own human fault in the application of those morals in regard to things like Prudential Judgement, and that's perfectly okay. But the Dogma and the Infallible teachings of the Catholic church are mostly believed by all Christians in general I think. And, most Christian teachings originate from the Catholic church's teachings as well-- including scripture. So, if scripture was inspired by God, and compiled together by the early church under divine guidance, then, that must mean that at that time, the Magisterium did indeed have divine guidance by God revealing His Grace through them:) X Also, Baptism is not necessary for salvation. None of the sacraments are necessary for salvation; they are expressions of true faith. In my understanding, Catholics have this idea that yes, the sacraments are necessary-- however, if that necessity is revealed to you, then you are bound to use it. The sacraments are not necessary for the ignorant through no fault of their own. God has bound salvation to the sacrament of baptism, but he himself is not bound by his sacraments. www.catholic.com/qa/is-baptism-necessary-for-salvation-or-not
Check this truth out... Google who started the Catholic Church then Google did Martin Luther have syphilis and did he impregnate a nun because that is who you ultimately follow.
I was just saying this too. Catholics are super angry and aggressive. They mirror Muslims in their response when you talk to them about the problem with Roman Catholicism.
Most hate just the lies, and the fact there are people protesting so aggressively about the church that gave us all the bible, but we hope never the person all who are made in image of God.

Goodness, the amount of misunderstandings of the Catholic faith here are just mind-boggling. Lord have mercy on his ignorance and spreading falsehood against his Christian brethren!
A religion manufactured by Constantine and the Council of Nicea. Roman Catholicism is a violent blood cult. There is no spirituality in it. They do not speak of higher dimensions, consciousnesses, and entities. They do not speak of the Annunaki and the Elohim.
Everything he said is true. Not recognizing what Christ did is shameful. Looking to a pope for answers is wrong. Jesus, God, and the Homy spirit are what you look towards.
There are three things in particular I don't get about RC: (1). the notion that one cannot (or should not) enjoy a personal relationship with God/Jesus but rather must go through a mortal mediator (priest); (2). all the prayers to Mary, another mortal; and (3). the notion that the Pope is a living descendant of the Apostles when popes and priests are forbidden to procreate. Point (1). contradicts Jesus Himself, Point (2). also has no Biblical basis, and Point (3). simply does not make logical sense.
As for Mary, we ask her to pray for us the same way we ask any other person to pray for us. She is the greatest woman who has walked this earth. We do not worship her, and we Catholics maintain a distinction between prayer and worship. Worship entails sacrifice, and that is offered solely to God. We do not offer the sacrifice at mass to Mary, we offer it to God. She should be venerated and she serves as a reminder that Jesus is fully human and that He came to this world through the greatest of the feminine side of humanity. As for popes, you are misunderstanding when we say “succession”. Apostolic succession has absolutely nothing to do with procreation. It has everything to do with appointing and ordaining a successor and this concept is not unique to Roman Catholicism. Peter, for example, had consecrated Clement of Rome, one of the Apostolic Fathers, as a bishop and he later became pope. The Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, and Old Catholics also follow this practice for their own bishops, and this is why we Roman Catholics actually distinguish them as “churches” and not “ecclesial communities”. Just as we Roman Catholics see our Pope as the successor to Peter, the Eastern Orthodox see their Ecumenical Patriarch as the successor to Andrew, and generally we do recognise the validity (though not liceity) of each others’ succession. Even the firmly protestant Anglicans have apostolic succession for bishops, though we Roman Catholics consider theirs invalid due to a lack of intent and substance as determined in Apostolicae Curae. Also as a side note, some Eastern Catholic jurisdictions under the Roman Catholic Church do allow married priests.
@@saldol9862 paragraph 1 -- there is absolutely ZERO in Scripture supporting we pray to the dead. there is nothing in Scripture showing she is anything other than dead -- Heb 9:27 Mary isn't Deity, she was a sinner as we are now. and we only ask people who are alive and physically here to pray for us. or do you pray to Moses, Enoch and Elijah -- since they are shown to be resurrected and translated? paragraph 2 -- 'popes' are demonic and not at all Christian. thanks for reading!
1: This isn’t true. I have a personal relationship with the Lord and I’m not even Catholic yet. The priest is meant to help you in your relationship with Jesus. II: We don’t pray to Mary in the sense that we think she can grant prayers, she can’t because she’s not God. We ask her to pray for us to God, because just like Enoch and Elijah she is with her Son. III: This is a funny one, when I first started to look into the Church; I was confused. What it really means is that Peter ordained (not fathered-if you hear fathered it means in the spiritual sense) Peter 2, Peter 2 ordained Peter 3, etc etc until we get to the current Pope. None of this contradicts Scripture, the Apostles founded a Church because of Jesus.
@@tony1685 1: No; there is. We hear about the “prayers of the saints” in Revelation. Mary literally gave birth to God in the flesh, she’s more important than any saint (Jesus is obviously way more important.) Mary is NOT God. She could never be God. She wasn’t a sinner, because then Jesus would have inherited sin, which would have made Him insufficient as a perfect sacrifice. She is alive in Heaven. She cannot grant our prayers, but can only ask God to grant them. You could *ask* Elijah to pray *for you.* 2: Zero proof for this.
If I were to say in a prayer claiming that Jesus was Lucifer's son would this be satanic or of God?yet every day in prayer this is what a priest says to Lucifer while he is giving the sacraments.its said in Latin.Have the whole prayer said in English and see for yourself
The splitting of the veil established we all have access to god through his son, none come through the father but through the son,it did not say you have to go through a priest, through Mary then through Jesus then to God.
Where did this strange teaching come from? When in history did it originate? Who was the first person to promulgate this? It wasn't Jesus or His Alostles.

When the Lord was crucified in AD 33 approximately 3% of the population of the Holy Land (Palestine) were literate (could read). Mass literacy in society only came about in the 15th century when Gutenberg (a German Catholic) invented the printing press. The printing press facilitated the mass transmission of reading material including the Bible.
For over 200 years anyone the catholic church caught with a bible (eg Tyndale) was burnt alive, the catholic church tried to suppress the public having access to the scriptures which previously was only available read in church in latin.

@@eddiej9733 Parrot. Please pay special attention to the Matthew 12 passage I shared. Now I will explain it to you. Mary is OUTSIDE. Just like one of the virgins in the parable, who forgot to refill her lamp and was thus shut OUTSIDE and the door was not opened to her. Now leave your cult immediately. Save as many people as you can, take them with you out of the backslidden pagan cult, who burn incense to the queen of heaven.
@@br.m on the contrary. Both Matt12:48 and Luke 11:27 are examples of Jesus using the benchmark of his mother and spiritual brothers as benchmarks for what we should attain by believing in Him. He used Her as an example of the regard the Lord will have if they believe. These verses are an affirmation of Mary’s special place. But that Jesus is concerned primarily with the salvation of every soul. I can understand a Christian to have a largely benign regard for Mary, on account of say having done little research into what great Christian minds have thought and taught since the earthly time of the Lord, but to specifically denigrate Mary and Jesus’ regard for Mary is the sign that we are offered doctrines of demons in these days. Again, I stress that I’m not talking about the worship of Mary. Let’s take that off the table for once and got all. Veneration is a totally different thing.
The Roman Catholic Church omits Commandment #2 (Do not make idols). Then they split #10 in two, to make #9 and #10. Isn't that subtracting from the Word of God?
What should offend you is the blasphemous traditional culture customary things this doctrine chooses over the Lord and Word. He states truth facts all in your Bible but as a catholic myself of 40yrs no catholic takes the Holy Bible as authority we uses traditions over the Word.
Will, this is typical of the uninstructed. Remember Bishop Sheen's famous quote, "There are not one hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church, but there are millions who hate what they wrongly perceive the Catholic Church to be."
Don't mind them. They do not know of what they speak of. I listened to this man who has no knowledge of Yeshua's Church. Remember, you are a member of the Church Jesus built. The church was founded by Jesus himself, filled with the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, what the first Apostles lead is not a human institution run on the whims of a few men, it is a divinely founded guided Church, serving as the living representation of the Kingdom of heaven on earth. Read Matthew 16:18, "And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church" (The Aramaic word Képa meaning rock which translates into Greek as Képhas is the name by which Peter is called in the Pauline letters) Read the entire chapter for better context. The Catholic Church is the one true 'visible' church. Romans 16:17-18, "I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who create dissensions and obstacles, in opposition to the teaching that you learned; avoid them. For such people do not serve our Lord Christ but their own appetites, and by fair and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the innocent." Be aware some posting comments and videos attempt to create division. In 2 Peter 2:1, "There were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will introduce destructive heresies and even deny the Master who ransomed them, bringing shift destruction on themselves." This speaker in the video also interprets the bible how he sees it. However, 2 Peter 1:20-21, "Know this first of all, that there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation, for no prophecy ever came through human will, but rather human beings moved by the holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God." Saint Peter rules out sola scriptura. These lost brothers and sisters of ours unfortunately follow man made street corner churches. They broke off in the 16th century and claim they know better. They removed 7 books to fit their belief system. Many will claim to be Catholic and say, I was a member of it for X amount of years, then speak to create division, when they have not fully embraced the Lord. Strong and well informed protestants will find their home one day in the Catholic church. Weak Catholics will become protestants. I pray one day they will return to the One True Church.
Not allowing priests to marry is definitely a ridiculous Catholic regulation. Even Peter, their ‘first pope’ was married. Paul warned of evil men coming in and ‘forbidding men to marry’. I’m sure the church has missed the ministries of many good men because of this.
What do you think of the advice of Paul to the unmarried where he said it is good for them to stay unmarried just like himself? Is his advice ridiculous? Consecrating one's whole life to be celibate and in the service of God through priesthood is a choice. Nobody is forced into it.
@@rewindseventyseven-en6iv If you can’t see the context of this advice, there’s not much point talking to you. And Yes, priests are forced into celibacy if they want to enter the priesthood, while married protestant ministers can enter Catholic priesthood unmarried! Talk about inconsistency! Catholicism is not Christianity ✝️ When you learn the truth, you will be made free. I did some studying and I found that many of their doctrines are misinterpreted. It’s shocking how erroneous their doctrines are. I’ve given you all of the answers you’ll need. I’ve listed several specific things that you’ll need to diligently study if you’re Catholic. -------------------- Peter self-identified as an elder, not a pope. An elder is a pastor. **1 Pete 5:1** And now, a word to you who are elders in the churches. I, too, am an elder and a witness to the sufferings of Christ. And I, too, will share in his glory when he is revealed to the whole world. As a fellow elder, I appeal to you: Matthew 16:18-19 is misinterpreted and this is shown in Matthew 18:18 as Jesus reiterates the same thing to all disciples. The Petrine theory is false. -------------------- - Antithetical books taught as doctrine that are contradictory to the Bible is apostasy. ****1 Timothy 4:1**** Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. -------------------- - Forbidding clergy to marry is apostasy. ****1 Timothy 4:3**** who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. -------------------- • Adding church doctrines, especially doctrines that uniquely serve the context of a church’s teachings and political purposes of a church is apostasy and it’s forbidden. ****Deuteronomy 4:2,**** ****Galatians 1:6-7****. A church can’t interpret a scripture and ignore the fact that their interpretation contradicts other scriptures. ****Mark 7:7**** Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. -------------------- • We have a new ministry in the new covenant. ****Ephesians 4:11****. Christ did not send out any officiating new covenant high priests, or parish priests. ****Ephesians 4:11**** So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers • God does not show favoritism ****Romans 2:11**** -- there is no evidence in the scriptures that the church was built on a human. We do not have a human pope to guide us. We are led by the indwelling of the Spirit. ****Acts 1:5**** -------------------- • The scriptures show no differences in the apostles. ****Equality amongst the apostles**** “Ye are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone. ****Ephesians 2:20**** “And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.” ****Revelation 21:14**** • Peter was no different than the others. We can see here in ****Revelations 21:14**** that Peter was still an apostle, not a pope. John saw a vision of the New Jerusalem, so if Peter was a pope, John would have said I saw the foundation of the city walls in layers of 11 apostles and the one pope. -------------------- - The Rock of the church is spiritual, not physical. There is only one Rock. ****1 Corinthians 10:4**** and all drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ. -------------------- • Mary nor the saints can hear prayers. There’s only one mediator in heaven between God & Man. No scriptures show that the 24 elders hear prayers. ****1 Timothy 2:5**** For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, -------------------- • All Christians are saints. ****Philippians 1:1**** Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons: -------------------- • All Christians are priests. We are living stones being built in a spiritual house on a spiritual Rock. You can approach God for forgiveness yourself. ****1 Peter 2:5**** Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. -------------------- • The doctrine of original sin is not biblical or found in the scriptures at all. Water baptism cannot remove sins. By the shedding of blood is there remission of sins. Adam sinned but adding the terminology of “original sin” is not biblical. ****Hebrews 9:22**** In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. -------------------- • Every Christian is supposed to study and read the Bible for themselves. ****Acts 17:11**** ****Ephesians 3:4**** As you read what I have written, you will understand my insight into this plan regarding Christ. ****Psalm 119:15**** I will study your commandments and reflect on your ways. -------------------- • In order to receive salvation, we must all repent and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior. We need no new antithetical AD prophet church bibles, no man-made doctrines, no priests, no infallible magisterium, no Vatican, no communion of saints, no catechisms, no Marian dogmas, no transubstantiation, no other God(s), no idolatry, no prosperity gospel, no blessed prayer cloths, no added rituals, no antithetical traditions, no Eucharist, no veneration of Mary, no long list of good works, no water baptism regeneration, no sacrament of reconciliation, no rosary, no pope, no papacy, no apostolic succession, and no church dogmas, but *only* by grace through faith are we saved. Christ is enough! ****Ephesians 2:8**** "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast". -------------------- - I’m not against any church. I’m against people who are being misled and deceived. A church that has stood for several centuries must still teach sound doctrine. Any church that is built on false doctrine leads people astray. @catholictruth102The Bible says this about catholic prayer; And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
The worst thing Catholicism has done is failed to properly Catechize its laity. Their doctrine is sound and steadfast. As a Protestant I envy the level of clarity and understanding why have.
So true. David Anders. Joshua T Charles. Scott Hahn. The smartest and most learned Protestants become Catholic. Instead of listening to this steam of lies from Mike, Protestants should just Google the great thinkers I just listed and hear them explains why they are now part of the one and only Church Jesus founded and proposed to be with till the end of the age (against which He said the Gates of Hell would never prevail). It is a lot easier to just go around to whatever Protestant church happens to fit your views - which is just relativism masquerading as being “Biblical”. But Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. And the Chirch He founded is the one to which everyone should belong. So sad people defy His prayers for unity.
I ask what came first? The Church or the New Testament? I would also ask who canonized The New Testament? The Roman Catholic Bible has 72 books and the Protestant Bible has 66. The Catholic Church has a sound doctrine for a good reason. Anyone can interpret the Bible. Apostle Paul was a part of the early Church and instructs us to follow the gospel that was given to them by Jesus Christ. “He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. So, then brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter. 2 Thessalonians 2:13 The Catholic Church does not declare the Lord is an insufficient savior. The Catholic Church teaches that its members are obligated to keep the Law in order to be saved. Jesus Christ said this himself when a man came up and knelt before Jesus and asked, “good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Why do you call me good? Jesus answered. “No one is good except God alone. You know the commandments: “you shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, you shall not defraud, honor your father and mother. Mark 10:17 “Baptism, good works, the sacraments, keeping the law, the sacrifice of the mass, they are under Divine condemnation.” Jesus taught and demonstrated all these things.
Nowhere in the bible does it say that water baptism removes sin. Men are told to repent (change of mind) and put thy trust in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Under the Mosaic law, water always represented a ceremonial spiritual cleansing. It's had nothing to do with removing sin. We are justified by faith Ephesians (2:8-9) We obey the commandments to imitate Christ and also to show the world we are ambassadors of Christ. So they will know us by our fruit. The temple veil was torn when Christ gave up His spirit, therefore, there is no need for a Catholic priesthood.
Baptism is the first and chief sacrament of forgiveness of sins because it unites us with Christ, who died for our sins and rose to our justification. This can be backed up by what apostle Pauls says in Romans 6:3. “Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” Jesus himself instructed his disciples to make disciples and to baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:18) In the book of James, he states, “you see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone”. (James 2:24). James also states, “ you believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe and shudder”. (James 2:17) As far as a Catholic priesthood, apostle Paul provides his insight when receiving the body and blood of Jesus Christ. “So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.” 1 (Corinthians 11:27)@@Disciple793

As a former Roman Catholic I agree with most of this. The Catholic Church always adds to the Word of God: they constantly reference and tell people to read the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC). I also do not understand why they have images and statues of Jesus and Saints when the Bible says not to have any of those things for the things above. I also don’t understand why priests are called Father when the Bible says no one except God should be called that. And why does the Catholic Church not allow anyone except true Catholics to receive communion? That is a man made law by the Church. It does not come from the Word of God.

I guess they can add and take away books of the bible as often as they please to suit their purpose. Do you believe the selling of indulgences was ordained by God? Was that biblical? Do they do that now? What's different today than back then? God's word is unchanging.
How many priests have been charged with molestation? How many babies have been baptized just to grow up without Christ? How many more statues of Virgin mary and dead saints? How many rosary are being pray with ? How many more non-Biblical chants are being said ? No Catholicism is not the Truth
Every uniquely Catholic doctrine is specifically taught against in the Bible. How is it that the fake Christians read and believe the Bible while the supposedly real Christians openly defy God's word?
The Catholic Church made Baptism a requirement? Jesus: "Amen, amen I say to you unless a man be born again of water and the spirit, he shall not enter see the kingdom of God." (John 3:3)
I don’t disagree with the scripture but where in the Bible did it say that you have be baptized As a baby ? A child is innocent. Matthew 18:2-5 2He called a little child and had him stand among them. 3And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5"And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me." You get baptized as an adult that can logically think and become aware that they are a sinner and repent and then become born again. How is that possible as a child??? Like really think about it. I swear you Catholics are blinded by the god of this world (the devil)
to shield a child from the holy spirit because they are "innocent" is a false statement. all of us are born in adam (the flesh), being born again is being birthed in the spirit (baptized) is being born in christ. so the prevention of children being baptized simply because of their innocence and ignorance to what is going on is keeping them from being forgiven from original sin. it is our duty as christians to bring our children into the church. these are what the sacraments are for. if they are born under christ and don't agree with the church of the faith, they can leave before their confirmation. come the catholic (universal) church founded by Jesus Christ.
Many people say this guy is ignorant? This man is clearly educated in the matter and has spoken facts about Catholicism I challenge anyone to discredit these practices in Catholicism he mentioned. As a non-Christian though, I ask a few questions: 1) is god not almighty enough to just do what he wants? If so why would he kill himself/son to do something he has the power to do by just willing it? 2) how can god, the creator of the heavens and earth and all else we don’t know, be killed by his own slaves? 3) why do Catholics (and most Christian’s) eat the flesh of swine or pigs if your messiah and lord and saviour and son of your lord and saviour didn’t? 4) why don’t Christian men get circumcised if Jesus was? Surely he wouldn’t remove a piece of his flesh if it wasn’t necessary… enlighten me 5)is a TRI-nity not a direct contradiction to monotheism? One true god? How can a God be split and you worship him in different ways?
Here's two of many Deuteronomy 4:2 "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you". This warning was given to the Israelites after they wandered in the wilderness. Deuteronomy 12:32 "What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it". By elevating your so called sacred traditions to the level of God's word, you are attempting to add to his authority through man made doctrine. And by doing so you attempt to claim Roman authority over all of Christianity.. Thus becoming sola ecclesia. If you are attempting to locate the words "sola scriptura" in the original Greek, you won't find it. And I think you know that a completely intellectually dishonest stance to take. sola scriptura is merely a term of recognition of God's authority. And if your asking where in the Bible it says that his word is the ULTIATE authority, it's as clear as day. But your doctrine won't allow you to take the word at face value. You are required to read it through the Roman lens. And because of that you will never be able to read it as the pure unadulterated truth.
@@let_freedom_pingIf that passage means what you think it means, then we shouldn’t go to church on Sundays. We shouldn’t listen to anything any of the church fathers said after the original manuscripts were written. We shouldn’t accept any of the many church councils that happened after the time that Deuteronomy was written. If that passage means what you think it means, wouldn’t the Bible would essentially end at Deuteronomy? How do you know what qualifies as scripture? The Bible didn’t just fall out of the sky. God entrusted his Church to build and canonize the Bible. How can you trust the Bible if you don’t trust the church who built it? Also, I’ve yet to find a passage in the Bible that tells us to stick to the Bible alone. Paul tells us to “hold to tradition both written and oral”. The word of God refers to oral teaching also. The reference to “He shall be called a Nazarene” cannot be found in the Old Testament, yet it was “spoken by the prophets” (Matt. 2:23). Therefore, this prophecy, which is considered to be “God’s word,” was passed down orally rather than through Scripture. Imagine if you wrote a book. Then I read that book, and told you that I understand it better than you do. That would be a ridiculous thing for me to say, but that is essentially the Sola Scriptura belief system. That would make me anxious to stake my belief on a book made by someone that I didn’t trust. Since the reformation and the popularization of Sola Scriptura, there has been an all time high in division amongst Christians. Many of the core teachings of the early church (baptismal regeneration, true presence in the Eucharist) have been watered down to being merely “symbols”. You’ll get 10 people who claim Sola Scriptura, but you’ll get 10 different denominations with 10 different interpretations. You claim that Catholics have a tainted view of scripture due to the “Roman lens”, but Sola Scriptura allows people to interpret Scriptura through whatever lens they see fit. The idea of Sola Scriptura has caused a huge amount of damage to the Christian faith. Praying that the Lord cleanses this confusion. Much love, God Bless ❤️✝️
@@SquattRakk Again as I said before, tradition at face value is not wrong. And I don't know a theologist alive saying we should just through out church history. But the difference is we hold that history to the standard of the text, where you read the text through the doctrine of your history and traditions. What Rome does is put their tradition before the text, and as such has fallen into complete apostacy. Especially since the council of Trent. And you're unable to read the text as it is written without reading it through the doctrinal lens of the "catechism of the catholic church". Because if you don't adhere to those traditions, Rome will outcast you. And since those traditions are blatantly blasphemes, you've chosen to put them before the truth of scripture. And as a result of adhering to a false authority, Rome has fallen into idolatry, blasphemy, pride and foolishness. And romans will pay the price on the day of judgement.
Let me know when you find a passage that uses the word “trinity”…by your logic that means the trinity is false. The Bible is either the inerrant infallible Word of God, or it’s not. There’s proof all over the scriptures of its veracity and truth, fulfilled prophecies, etc. Jesus Himself quoted scripture many, many times, and in fact it was His primary defense against Satan. Why would the thoughts and ideas of men be more trustworthy and valid than the Word of God? If any idea, thought, etc, goes against Scripture, it must be rejected. I don’t see how we can possibly have any other standard of Truth…why do Roman Catholics have such a problem with sola scriptura?? Why do they cling to the doctrines and practices that are not consistent with scripture? Why do they insist that popes and other fallen, sinful men can speak with equal or greater authority than God Himself?? @@TheresaCronin-kc6wz I have Jesus living within me and I in Him eternally. He is not in a piece of metaphorical bread.. though it does honor Christ for remembrance as the scripture states. The Eucharist is SYMBOLISM and the early Church AGREED! The Didache, written in the late-first or early-second century, referred to the elements of the Lord’s table as “spiritual food and drink” (The Didache, 9). The long passage detailing the Lord's Table in this early Christian document gives no hint of transubstantiation whatsoever. Justin Martyr (110-165) spoke of “the bread which our Christ gave us to offer in remembrance of the Body which He assumed for the sake of those who believe in Him, for whom He also suffered, and also to the cup which He taught us to offer in the Eucharist, in commemoration of His blood"(Dialogue with Trypho, 70). Clement of Alexandria explained that, “The Scripture, accordingly, has named wine the symbol of the sacred blood” (The Instructor, 2.2). Origen similarly noted, “We have a symbol of gratitude to God in the bread which we call the Eucharist” (Against Celsus, 8.57). Cyprian (200-258), who sometimes described the eucharist using very literal language, spoke against any who might use mere water for their celebration of the Lord’s Table. In condemning such practices, he explained that the cup of the Lord is a representation of the blood of Christ: “I marvel much whence this practice has arisen, that in some places, contrary to Evangelical and Apostolic discipline, water is offered in the Cup of the Lord, which alone cannot represent the Blood of Christ” (Epistle 63.7). Eusebius of Caesarea (263-340) espoused a symbolic view in his Proof of the Gospel: For with the wine which was indeed the symbol of His blood, He cleanses them that are baptized into His death, and believe on His blood, of their old sins, washing them away and purifying their old garments and vesture, so that they, ransomed by the precious blood of the divine spiritual grapes, and with the wine from this vine, "put off the old man with his deeds, and put on the new man which is renewed into knowledge in the image of Him that created him." . . . He gave to His disciples, when He said, "Take, drink; this is my blood that is shed for you for the remission of sins: this do in remembrance of me." And, "His teeth are white as milk," show the brightness and purity of the sacramental food. For again, He gave Himself the symbols of His divine dispensation to His disciples, when He bade them make the likeness of His own Body. For since He no more was to take pleasure in bloody sacrifices, or those ordained by Moses in the slaughter of animals of various kinds, and was to give them bread to use as the symbol of His Body, He taught the purity and brightness of such food by saying, “And his teeth are white as milk” (Demonstratia Evangelica, 8.1.76-80). Athanasius (296-373) similarly contended that the elements of the Eucharist are to be understood spiritually, not physically: “[W]hat He says is not fleshly but spiritual. For how many would the body suffice for eating, that it should become the food for the whole world? But for this reason He made mention of the ascension of the Son of Man into heaven, in order that He might draw them away from the bodily notion, and that from henceforth they might learn that the aforesaid flesh was heavenly eating from above and spiritual food given by Him.” (Festal Letter, 4.19) Augustine (354-430), also, clarified that the Lord’s Table was to be understood in spiritual terms: “Understand spiritually what I said; you are not to eat this body which you see; nor to drink that blood which they who will crucify me shall pour forth. . . . Although it is needful that this be visibly celebrated, yet it must be spiritually understood” (Exposition of the Psalms, 99.8). He also explained the eucharistic elements as symbols. Speaking of Christ, Augustine noted: “He committed and delivered to His disciples the figure [or symbol] of His Body and Blood.” (Exposition of the Psalms, 3.1). And in another place, quoting the Lord Jesus, Augustine further explained: “‘Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man,’ says Christ, ‘and drink His blood, ye have no life in you.’ This seems to enjoin a crime or a vice; it is therefore a figure [or symbol], enjoining that we should have a share in the sufferings of our Lord, and that we should retain a sweet and profitable memory of the fact that His flesh was wounded and crucified for us (On Christian Doctrine, 3.16.24). A number of similar quotations from the church fathers could be given to make the point that-at least for many of the fathers-the elements of the eucharist were ultimately understood in symbolic or spiritual terms. In other words, they did not hold to the Roman Catholic doctrine of transubstantiation.

Just wanted to point out that what I learned from Protestants who became Catholic and Catholics who became Protestant. It can be quite revealing. I have yet to meet a former Catholic who actually understood their former faith (again, bad catechesis). And almost every Catholic I've met who used to be Protestant has been a practical encyclopedia of both Protestant and Catholic theology. Some of the biggest names in Catholic apologetics are former Protestant pastors. Unfortunately, Mike Gendron falls into the category of not being properly educated in his former Catholic faith and then spread this false information to those who don’t know better. My advice to anyone who truly wants to follow Christ is to go watch a conversion testimony of former Protestant who became Catholic (there’s literally thousands of videos) and then ask yourself why so many educated leaders of the Protestant community have converted?
Another observation I would like to add is you'll notice that Protestants who converted from the Catholic faith always seem to have bad experiences and have nothing but bad things to say of their former faith. On the other hand, Protestants who became Catholic almost always say good things about their former Protestant denomination. The reason they decided to convert to Catholicism is based solely based on teachings of the faith (theology and not experiences).... If you watch any conversion video you'll instantly see what I'm talking about.
@@Henry-eh2jk I will tell you why I converted from Protestantism to Catholicism. I originally became a Christian because of the evidence that supported the Bible. And when I realized the Bible was true, I just started going to a Protestant church because I just did not know the difference between Christian groups. And then I started taking classes at Fuller Seminary. I read Church history books like those from then Protestant Jaroslav Pelikan a Yale History professor and Philip Schaff who wrote an 8 volume set on Christian Church History. And even these great scholars write extensively and convincingly that the early Christian Church was the Catholic Church; and they show that Luther’s view of "forensic justification" was an invention of the 1500’s. I grew up an atheist and so I had no axe to grind or no preconceived notions. But when I carefully read the New Testament, I saw that Jesus Christ made 3 predictions about his Church. And these three predictions are the predictions that made me believe in the Bible in the first place. If Jesus was not a real person or if he was not really resurrected from the dead, then these predictions would have never come true. But these are the 3 predictions Christ makes: Prediction 1. Christ said that his church would be persecuted and its members would be killed. Now that was a ridiculous prediction in the Roman empire which was religiously tolerant. They did not target people and kill them for religious reasons. Why would they kill the followers of someone who promotes peace?
Prediction 2. Jesus said that his church would be unified. He said there would be a church that could be considered as "one" that was unified in love and unified in doctrine. And Paul reiterates that in saying that the church has to agree on everything. Paul makes it a sin to create dissensions in the church. And Paul states that the average person should not be tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine. The New Testament clearly references one Church not a multiple set of churches with contradicting doctrines. Prediction 3. Jesus also said that his church would go to all nations. If Jesus was just a normal human who died like all of the other people who started religious movements, then this again is a ridiculous claim.
Any one of these claims could have come true by accident but it was impossible for me to believe that all of these predictions by Christ could occur by accident. That is why I became a Christian in the first place. But when you look at the church and see which one it was that did all of these 3 things Christ predicted, which one was it? It was clearly the Catholic Church if you read any seminary level church history book.
What church was it in which its leaders and bishops were targeted by the Romans and executed? Men like Clement of Rome; Ignatius of Antioch, and Polycarp of Smyrna? It was the Catholic Church that this happened to. You can read any church history book and see how the Bishops of Rome were known to the authorities as leaders of the Katholicos Ekklysia (or Catholic Church) and were hunted down to be executed.
And which church was it that somehow stayed unified through all of the heresies that came along with the Gnostics and with Arius and the Docetists and others? Which church was it that held the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD, and Constantinople in 381 AD, then Ephesus in 431 AD and Chalcedon in 451 AD? The church that held those councils which kept Christianity clearly was the Catholic Church. We know who the Bishop of Rome was when each of those Councils occurred and he was seen as the leader of the College of Bishops. By 150 AD the entire church operated with the Bishop of Rome at the helm and with a “monoepsicopacy” form of government in place. It was in these Councils and others we see the church decipher core doctrines like the Trinity, the two natures of Christ existing in one person, and the development of the New Testament Canon. What church was it that did all of these things? It was obviously the Catholic Church. There was no Christian “group” or “sect” or “church” anywhere in the first 1,500 years of Christianity that believed in 1) Forensic justification + 2) Sola scriptura + 3) A priesthood of all believers SEPARATE and in exclusion of a ministerial priesthood. A church with those beliefs simply did not exist. Not only was there not a group or church taught those later “Protestant” ideas together; there was not even one early church Father who taught those 3 things together. You cannot find one Church father arguing for these 3 tenets of Protestantism 1)Forensic justification + 2) Sola scriptura + 3) A priesthood of all believers to the exclusion of a ministerial priesthood. Not a single Father. You may be able to find some quotes here or there that look like they may somehow, possibly point to one of these ideas. But no father argues for all together like any Protestant would do. In addition, most of these alleged quotes from the Fathers that can be dug up to maybe, somehow, in some way point to one of those Protestant sounding ideas, I guarantee you that if you look at all of their writings you will see that that particular Father clearly shows his views are Catholic. I wanted to know and so I did that exercise. Read Matthew J. Thomas’s work called “Paul’s ‘Works of the Law’ in the Perspective of Second Century Reception.” Thomas used to work for the famous JI Packer and he was hired to go through the church fathers and find any quotes that would maybe, perhaps somehow support “sola fide” or other Protestant doctrines. But even when he found some vague quote that might look like it supported “sola fide” that same Father’s other writings clearly showed that they did not hold that view. Or read Doug Beaumont’s work “Evangelical Exodus.” Beaumont worked for the Protestant scholar Norman Geisler and was hired to do the same thing which was to look for quotes in the Fathers’ that might seem, maybe, somehow, of you thought of them in a certain way to point to one of those views that came with “Protestantism” in 1500’s. Thomas and Beaumont along with 7 other people who contribute to the book “Evangelical Exodus” all discovered the same thing. The early Church was clearly Catholic and not remotely Protestant in structure nor doctrine. Joshua Betancourt even hesitantly wrote an anti-Catholic book with Giesler and from what he discovered in the evidence of the early Church he converted to Catholicism because he discovered that the early Church was Catholic, and the primary Christian Church that existed for the first 1500 years was Catholic. It is a fruitless exercise to try to believe that the early Church believed Protestant things. Even the Protestant history books I read at Fuller seminary admitted that Luther’s views of "forensic justification" and "sola fide" were new views developed in the 1500’s. Protestant Scholar Philip Schaff in his extensive 8 Volume History of the Christian Church writes: "If anyone expects to find in any of the church fathers, including Augustine himself, the Protestant doctrine of justification by faith alone … will be greatly disappointed."
And the church history scholar Alister MacGrath states that the Luther’s view of salvation was a complete “theological novum.” Novum means “novelty” (I am so stupid I had to look it up). Even Norman Giesler confronts the question of whether Christians for the first 1500 years of Christianity could be saved because Luther himself argued that if someone did not agree with Luther’s doctrine, Luther claimed that such a person could not be saved. But Giesler writes that Luther’s view was ridiculous because it would mean that no one was saved for 1500 years. Giesler writes: “One can be saved without believing that imputed righteousness (or forensic justification) is an essential part of the true gospel. Otherwise, few people were saved between the time of Paul and the Reformation, since scarcely anyone taught imputed righteousness (or forensic justification) during that period!” The Lutheran scholar Hartmann Grisar addresses why the mature Luther does not try to use church fathers including Augustine the great to support his new doctrine. Grisar writes: "It is not surprising that at a later date (after Luther was challenged) Luther hesitated to appeal to St. Augustine in support of his doctrine [of imputed righteousness] … AUGUSTINE AND ALL THE DOCTORS OF THE CHURCH ARE DECIDEDLY AGAINST HIM." About “Sola Scriptura” the Luther Scholar Heiko Oberman who wrote the book Luther: Man Between God and the Devil wrote on page 220: "Application of the Reformation principle of sola scriptura, the Scriptures alone, has not brought the certainty [Luther] anticipated. It has in fact been responsible for a multiplicity of explanations and interpretations that seem to render ABSURD any dependence on the clarity of the Scriptures" (Luther: Man Between God and the Devil, 220). If people want to believe that Christ started a church and then let it fail for 1500 years and then brought forth Luther, Melancthon, Karlstadt, Agricola, Bucer, Muncer, Zwingli, Calvin, Simons, Knox, John Smith, King Henry, Joseph Smith, Mary Baker Eddy, and Charles Russell and a few dozen others to claim to put the true church on earth; I can’t stop them. But I am going to believe what the early Christians believed and that is that Christ started the Catholic Church. That is what history shows and that is one reason why so many people convert to Catholicism. God bless you
You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free ❤️ In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God and the Word is God. Satan takes truth and destroys it . Same as the Catholic Church.. Study and get into a Bible based church ... you will see the difference and experience the Holy Spirit.
Protestantism-itself has absolutely no foundation in Sacred Scripture. As a matter of history, this is where Protestantism came from: Martin Luther taught a doctrine, justification by faith alone, that was never taught by a single Christian for 1,500 years. In fact, it is, as explicitly as I can imagine, contradicted by St. James in James 2:24. In fact, Andre, what I found is, the only place in the entire Bible where the words “faith alone” are found, the words “not by” are right in front of them: “We see then that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.” You have Matthew 12:36 and 37 where Jesus, speaking in the context of the final judgement, says-in verse 37, I’ll focus on-“by your words you will be justified, by your words you will be condemned.” Words are more than just faith. That’s something you say, something you do. In Romans 2:6 and 7, St. Paul says, “God will reward each man according to his works. To him who continues in good works, his reward shall be glory, incorruption, and everlasting life.” There, St. Paul says everlasting life is a reward for good works. Now, is faith involved? Absolutely. Its constitutive of the salvific act in the life of a believer. You have to be a believer to be sure. “We are justified by faith,” Romans 5:1 says, but the problem was, “faith alone” is nowhere to be found. In Galatians 6:7, for example, St. Paul says, “Let no man be deceived: God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man sows-” any farmer knows that’s something you do, sowing seeds- “Whatsoever a man sows, that shall he reap. If he continues to sow to the flesh, he shall of the flesh reap death; if he continues to sow to the spirit, he shall of the Spirit reap everlasting life. Let us therefore not grow weary in well-doing, for we shall reap the reward-” What reward? Everlasting life, “-if we faint not.” Or if, as one translation says, “if we do not lose heart.” My brother, I could go down a litany of more verses here, but here’s the bottom line: what I found is, Martin Luther’s justification by faith, which became what he called the doctrine upon which the Church rises or falls-that’s his most important doctrine-was absolutely un-Biblical, absolutely false, and this colored the Reformation, and has for the last 500 years. Now there are some Protestant sects who have moved away from justification by faith alone, and get it closer to correct; but the overwhelming majority of reformers in John Calvin, who-you know, that’s a whole ‘nother hour we could talk about John Calvin-you know, got us even further off track from what the Bible clearly teaches. So Andre, I look at that, and then I look at what Jesus clearly taught in the Bible. He didn’t give us a Bible, He gave us a Church. Jesus said, for example in Matthew 18:15-18, He says-and this is instructions that are perennial till the end of time, Andre-He says, “If your brother shall offend against thee, go tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you’ve gained your brother.” If he won’t hear you, what do you do? You don’t get your Bible out and start arguing; He says, “Take one or two with you, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. If he will not even hear them, tell it to the church; and the one who fails to hear the church shall be as a heathen and a publican.” In other words, Jesus established the Church to be His authority to speak for Him; that’s exactly what we see happen in the book of Acts-in Acts chapter 15 Andre, I’ll give you homework-when there was a heresy that threatened to tear a fledgling church apart there in Antioch in the first century, what did they do? Paul and Barnabas came in, tried to settle it; they couldn’t settle it. What did they do? They had a council, the Church declared on the matter, and the matter was settled. That’s the way the Church functioned, and my friend, as a matter of history, the Encyclopedia Britannica, for example, will tell you, if you go to its entry on the Catholic Church, you will find it’s the Church started by Jesus in 33 AD. The fact is, that’s how the Church-one, holy Catholic, and apostolic-functioned for 1,500 years until some men came along and started teaching traditions of men that contradicted the Word of God.
Since you mentioned history, do you think the selling of indulgences was ordained by God? Was that a good thing? Why did they add books to the canon of scripture in response to the reformation? Were they wrong for the first 1,000 years? What about their riff with Galileo the time they were wrong about the earth being the center of the solar system? What about the Spanish inquisition? What about the crusades? We could go on. I'm interested to see how someone can defend these things that point to the love of power and money instead of the love of God. The catholic church keeps changing - It is not the same church of 1,500 years ago.
If it is False, why do so many people go to a Catholic priest for exorcisms. The demons Obey Catholic exorcist priests. If Catholics are false how are they able to cast out demons? May Almighty God lead you and everyone to the truth.
Hi if you want to know, read 1 Timothy chapter 4. Paul warns you about the catholic and eastern orthodox cults. Hypocrites who intentionally make you call them "father" because Jesus told you NOT to do it! Same they make you worship idols, and pray to dead people specifically because the Bible says NOT to do it!!! Look they have celibate priests and fish friday. That is, they forbid marriage and have diet restrictions. Got it? Now with that fresh in your mind, you have NO EXCUSE to remain catholic or eastern orthodox, once you read this scripture: 1 Timothy 4 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.
The demons don't obey or surrender to catholic priests. They work with their friends to trick you. then they come back with 7 friends and the person is worse.
In the Bible, which you don't read, it says that demons respond to the name "Jesus". There are also plenty of Biblical examples of people who were said to not be Christians who used the name of Christ to repel demons. In fact, there is a verse that states "Did we not cast out demons and prophesy in your name?" and yet those people went to hell for not believing in the true gospel.
@@LawlessNate Lol, I love how you added in that they don’t read the Bible because it’s true! They’ll always ask what verse talks about that or this in the Bible, and when you give it to them, it either stumps them or makes them super defensive.
correct, that's the problem... scripture specifically says NOT to do that. He explained that well. Deuteronomy 4:2 "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you". This warning was given to the Israelites after they wandered in the wilderness. Deuteronomy 12:32 "What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it". Revelation 22:18-19 "I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book". As for your "sacred" traditions, scripture warned the jews about holding their traditions as God's standard as well. Matthew 6:27 Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked, 2 “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don’t wash their hands before they eat!” 3 Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? 4 For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’[a] and ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’[b] 5 But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is ‘devoted to God,’ 6 they are not to ‘honor their father or mother’ with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. 7 You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: 8 “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me 9 They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.’[c]” As long as you have a man made doctrine that you have elevated to the same status as God's word, the two will always be in conflict.
@let_freedom_ping It says no such thing: Paul says that much Christian teaching is to be found in the tradition which is handed down by word of mouth (2 Tim. 2:2). He instructs us to “stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter” (2 Thess. 2:15).
@provision777 Looking Contextually at Mk 7:6-8, it's a reference to Is 29:13 where Isaiah reprimand Jerusalem for consulting its politicians while rejecting the prophets. Because their leaders routinely exclude the Lord, and rely on their own wisdom; their worship of the Lord has become empty and vain. Here in Mark, the pharisees have fallen into the same trap of rejecting God's wisdom in favor of their own. (Mt 23:23; Col 2:20-23). When you look at context, it shows how Christ and Paul absolutely do not contradict each other regarding tradition.
According to reports, a very small percentage of the money collected by the Catholic Church, as low as 10%, is actually used to directly help the poor, with a significant portion often going towards administrative costs and filling budget deficits within the Vatican. Key points about this topic: Low percentage for charity: Some sources state that only around 10% of donations specifically designated for helping the poor actually reach charitable causes. Vatican budget concerns: A significant portion of donations meant for the poor can be used to cover the Vatican's administrative expenses and budget deficits. Pope Francis' efforts: While some reports highlight concerns about the allocation of funds, Pope Francis is known to personally promote initiatives aimed at helping the poor.
You are talking Tripe I don't know where you got your sources from , because the Catholic Church is the largest charitable organization on Earth, further more all the Clergy and the nuns only receive a stipend not a Salary
Roman Catholics are required to keep the whole of the law? Really? They have to be circumcised, celebrate the Passover and the feast of booths etc…? I never knew that….
Roman Catholic are encouraged to have strong faith, to believe in Jesus’s return as son of god and died on the cross to absorb our sins to make access for us to go to heaven. We are all sinners but we try our best not to sin. And no they don’t have to be circumcised. This video above is anti catholic, sad. The second coming of Christ is due, google it, 3 days and 3 nights of darkness. Jesus is the way the light and the truth and the only way. He has made many appearances to people, which has led to a massive Jesus movement at the moment and conversion from other religions to Catholicism. We have been warned in the word of god to be aware of false gods, ie other religions. Glory to Lord Jesus ❤ and peace to you my friend
There are a few errors/exaggerations in the presentation, but I was a serious Catholic for Decades and his descriptions of Catholic Doctrines are pretty close. I had such a great time in a large youth club of 800 at my Catholic Church, and a Catholic education that it took me decades before I could even see some of the flaws in the Catholic Doctrines.
@@emmanuelochieng I am sure that Heaven is full of Catholics and Protestants. But not all Catholics go to heaven and not all Protestants go to heaven. Sure the Catholic Church is full of false doctrines.
@@emmanuelochieng The part about Roman Catholics being required to keep "The whole of the law" is plainly absurd. Are Catholics circumcised? Do they have to celebrate the passover, or the feast of booths etc.... It's just a ridiculous things to say.
This is the same guy who said he left his bible on his counter to collect dust for 37 and 35 years supposedly because he was told to do so which i highly doubt. and yes he first said 37 years and later changed to 35 years. its hard to believe someone who cant even get his story straight
I will humbly ask that guy to Google the founders of the over 40,000 christian denominations, and it will say it . Also , Google or Alexis can tell you the founder of the Catholic church!
This is the truth. Catholics have nothing to do with the truth. The catholic church has their own way of getting to Heaven and the Grace of God is the last thing that the catholic church is concerned with. Catholics want to deceive you. The Grace of God is the truth. Catholics deceive themselves with their alternative way to Heaven. The catholic church needs our prayers. Hallelujah!
I used to be a Catholic, as my whole family and relatives are. One night while I was praying to Mother Mary inside my room, I heard a voice in my right ear that said, "Pray directly to my Son." I was startled, got up from the chair I was sitting on and asked myself, "What?" Then the voice continued in my head, "Yes. Remember? 'I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" I was convicted that night and had a lot of realization. The following day, I prayed to God the Father and repented, and asked/received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Weeks after, I had a dream. In my dream, I was standing in the middle of the street. Later, my mom came and told me that she had a dream about God. I asked what is it all about. Suddenly, Jesus appeared in front of us. He was floating in the air, wearing a white robe, simple and plain yet it was the most beautiful clothes I ever saw and I looked at Him with so much awe. His face was so bright like a sun. Then, Jesus called my mom's name and said, "Turn away from sin." I looked at my mom immediately and asked what was the sin Jesus meant. My mom replied but she has no voice. I understood then that she had no voice because her answer was wrong, so I looked at her from head to toe and I observed that my mom was holding a wooden statue that resembled Jesus. I realized immediately that that was the "sin" Jesus meant. So I told my mom, "Do you know what was the sin Jesus meant? That one (pointing to the statue). He doesn't like that." And that's the end of my dream. I hope that this will reach to as many Catholics as possible and convict them to repent and turn away from any forms of idolatry. God was never please seeing Catholics praying, kneeling, bowing or parading statues of Mother Mary, even statue of Jesus, and other "saints". Remember, one of the commandments of God is that we should not make any graven images or statue even from those that live in heaven. We should not bow to it, serve it or worship it. Pray directly to God the Father, in the name of His Son Yeshua Hamashiach/Jesus Christ 🙏
Amen! Question do you believe Salvation comes by believing on Yeshua the Son of God, or do I have to turn from my sins in order to be Saved. Turning from sins is a work and works cant Save, Jonah 3:10. So do I have to believe on Yeshua alone for Salvation? If so, how do I believe on Yeshua the Son for Salvation?
@@DCCentralComedy I agree, we are not saved by our works but by the grace of God, through faith in His Son Jesus Christ. I believed, based on what I have read in the Bible and from personal experience, that a saved person will eventually be changed because the Holy Spirit that dwells within us will convict us of our sins and He will help us to abandon our old ways of living, towards sanctification. For God does not delight in wickedness and no evil dwells in Him. Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, whom He has sent down to Earth to save us from our sins. Remember the thief on the cross? He believed that Jesus Christ is the Son of God that's why he rebuked the other thief who mocked Jesus. We can tell also that he believed that Jesus' kingdom is in heaven and only Jesus can bring him there. Thus, he asked Jesus to remember him once He is already in His kingdom. The thief humbled himself in front of Jesus. That's who we should be, like the thief, we have to humble ourselves to God, repent and ask Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins and save us.
mike gendron Matthew 7:15. "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles? So, every sound tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears evil fruit".
I find really troubling the fact that a person can so easily loose salvation Being Catholic to me is scary because I got to keep myself righteous and I can never do that
We Catholics don't believe we are righteous under our own power, but because of God's grace. And we have the sacrament of confession! I get that guilt and fear can be tough, but I know that God has given me a means by which I can be absolved and humble myself before Him. God Bless!
"To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible". -St. Thomas Aquinas
I won't disagree w that Statement,so long as the focus is Christ and not a sinner saved by grace or not.

Lol that quote actually agrees with what Mike Gendron is saying. The Catholic cult defies the scriptures at every turn and contradicts every single Biblical doctrine.
aquinas was the goof who taught contrary God's Command about coveting, supporting theft for 'common good'.
this is just a cop out , since Scripture exposes stooges like aquinas.
All doctrinal truth for salvation is contained in the Bible alone.
why did Jesus say in Mt 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, *but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven*.

@@hosannayeshua4446 lol he set himself up for that high five 🖐
According to Catholicism, Jesus was not the all sufficient savior. Every Sunday you need to partake of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ which is the same sacrifice as on the cross.
CCC 1367: “The sacrifice of Christ and the sacrifice of the Eucharist are one single sacrifice: "The victim is one and the same: the same now offers through the ministry of priests, who then offered himself on the cross; only the manner of offering is different." "And since in this divine sacrifice which is celebrated in the Mass, the same Christ who offered himself once in a bloody manner on the altar of the cross is contained and is offered in an unbloody manner. . . this sacrifice is truly propitiatory."
And if you do not, you can not have salvation according to Catholicism
CCC 1129: “The Church affirms that for believers the sacraments of the New Covenant are necessary for salvation.
So according to Catholicism, Jesus can not atone for all your sins.
1 John 1:7: “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.”
Transubstantiation is a heretical doctrine.

Maybe Protestants should leave the Roman Catholics alone and work out their own Salvation, Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

"In this divine sacrifice which is celebrated in the Mass, the same Christ who offered himself once in a bloody manner on the altar of the cross is contained and is offered in an unbloody manner." (CCC1367)
At the Last Supper, Jesus took bread and said, “This is my body.” He took the wine and said, “This is the cup of my blood.”
Think about that the next time you are at Mass.

In Acts 9:31 the English may render “the church throughout" but in Greek it is "Ai men oun Eccelesia kath holos" which literally translates as "Then truly the Church Cath-olic”; reading in its entirety:
“Then truly the Church Catholic rested in Judea and Galilee and Samaria and were edified and walking in the fear of the Lord and comfort of the Holy Ghost were multiplied." - Acts 9:31.
“Kath-holos’ means universal, of all nations, throughout, of the whole. It is a good description of Christ’s church. After all, Jesus said in Mark 11:7, “My House shall be called of all nations the House of prayer.”
Rom.
SACRED DEPOST OF FAITH:
The words of Christ are true to the deposit of faith handed down in word and spirit John 14:26) entrusted to his true believers, believing with their whole heart and life, (2 Tim.

So, if scripture was inspired by God, and compiled together by the early church under divine guidance, then, that must mean that at that time, the Magisterium did indeed have divine guidance by God revealing His Grace through them:)
X Also, Baptism is not necessary for salvation.

Point (1). contradicts Jesus Himself, Point (2). also has no Biblical basis, and Point (3). simply does not make logical sense.
there are many, many more to add -- but good post, richard!

@@tony1685
1: No; there is. We hear about the “prayers of the saints” in Revelation. Mary literally gave birth to God in the flesh, she’s more important than any saint (Jesus is obviously way more important.)
Mary is NOT God. She could never be God. She wasn’t a sinner, because then Jesus would have inherited sin, which would have made Him insufficient as a perfect sacrifice. She is alive in Heaven. She cannot grant our prayers, but can only ask God to grant them. You could *ask* Elijah to pray *for you.*

@@br.m on the contrary. Both Matt12:48 and Luke 11:27 are examples of Jesus using the benchmark of his mother and spiritual brothers as benchmarks for what we should attain by believing in Him.

For such people do not serve our Lord Christ but their own appetites, and by fair and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the innocent."
Be aware some posting comments and videos attempt to create division. In 2 Peter 2:1, "There were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will introduce destructive heresies and even deny the Master who ransomed them, bringing shift destruction on themselves."
This speaker in the video also interprets the bible how he sees it. However, 2 Peter 1:20-21, "Know this first of all, that there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation, for no prophecy ever came through human will, but rather human beings moved by the holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God."
Saint Peter rules out sola scriptura.

Peter self-identified as an elder, not a pope.
An elder is a pastor.

Matthew 16:18-19 is misinterpreted and this is shown in Matthew 18:18 as Jesus reiterates the same thing to all disciples. The Petrine theory is false.

- Antithetical books taught as doctrine that are contradictory to the Bible is apostasy.
****1 Timothy 4:1**** Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons.

- Forbidding clergy to marry is apostasy.
****1 Timothy 4:3**** who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.
--------------------
• Adding church doctrines, especially doctrines that uniquely serve the context of a church’s teachings and political purposes of a church is apostasy and it’s forbidden.
****Deuteronomy 4:2,**** ****Galatians 1:6-7****. A church can’t interpret a scripture and ignore the fact that their interpretation contradicts other scriptures.
****Mark 7:7****
Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

• We have a new ministry in the new covenant. ****Ephesians 4:11****. Christ did not send out any officiating new covenant high priests, or parish priests.
****Ephesians 4:11**** So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers
• God does not show favoritism ****Romans 2:11**** -- there is no evidence in the scriptures that the church was built on a human. We do not have a human pope to guide us. We are led by the indwelling of the Spirit. ****Acts 1:5****

• The scriptures show no differences in the apostles.
****Equality amongst the apostles****
“Ye are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone. ****Ephesians 2:20****
“And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.” ****Revelation 21:14****
• Peter was no different than the others. We can see here in ****Revelations 21:14**** that Peter was still an apostle, not a pope. John saw a vision of the New Jerusalem, so if Peter was a pope, John would have said I saw the foundation of the city walls in layers of 11 apostles and the one pope.
--------------------
- The Rock of the church is spiritual, not physical. There is only one Rock.
****1 Corinthians 10:4**** and all drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.
--------------------
• Mary nor the saints can hear prayers. There’s only one mediator in heaven between God & Man. No scriptures show that the 24 elders hear prayers.

@@redbird9000 Scripture is the written Tradition (or Teaching) of the apostles collected and authorized by the Church, “the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone” (Ephesians 2:20). The Holy Spirit-as the Source of truth-inspired the Holy Apostles to write, the Holy Church to canonize, and its Holy Tradition to interpret the Holy Bible. Scripture, Tradition, and the Church-these three agree as one, inspired by the one Holy Spirit, and together bear witness to the one Faith, for “a threefold cord cannot be easily broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12). “Since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses… remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct” (Hebrews 12:1; 13:7). The Holy Spirit and the Holy Church, the Bride of Christ, say, “Come… Come, eat of my bread and drink of the wine I have mixed… sharing in the body of Christ. For we, being many, are one bread, one body, all that partake of one bread [Christ Jesus]” (Revelation 22:17; Proverbs 9:5; 1 Corinthians 10:16-17).

2 Thessalonians 2:13
The Catholic Church does not declare the Lord is an insufficient savior. Mark 10:17
“Baptism, good works, the sacraments, keeping the law, the sacrifice of the mass, they are under Divine condemnation.” Jesus taught and demonstrated all these things.
(Matthew 28:18)
In the book of James, he states, “you see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone”. (James 2:24). James also states, “ you believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe and shudder”. (James 2:17)
As far as a Catholic priesthood, apostle Paul provides his insight when receiving the body and blood of Jesus Christ. “So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.” 1 (Corinthians 11:27)@@Disciple793

Still looking for the passage that asserts sola scriptura
Here's two of many
Deuteronomy 4:2
"Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you". This warning was given to the Israelites after they wandered in the wilderness.
Deuteronomy 12:32
"What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it".

The Eucharist is Jesus the Mass is true worship it’s not a concert!
Eusebius of Caesarea (263-340) espoused a symbolic view in his Proof of the Gospel:
For with the wine which was indeed the symbol of His blood, He cleanses them that are baptized into His death, and believe on His blood, of their old sins, washing them away and purifying their old garments and vesture, so that they, ransomed by the precious blood of the divine spiritual grapes, and with the wine from this vine, "put off the old man with his deeds, and put on the new man which is renewed into knowledge in the image of Him that created him." . .
But for this reason He made mention of the ascension of the Son of Man into heaven, in order that He might draw them away from the bodily notion, and that from henceforth they might learn that the aforesaid flesh was heavenly eating from above and spiritual food given by Him.” (Festal Letter, 4.19)
Augustine (354-430), also, clarified that the Lord’s Table was to be understood in spiritual terms: “Understand spiritually what I said; you are not to eat this body which you see; nor to drink that blood which they who will crucify me shall pour forth. . .

The gospel is the kingdom of God that Jesus talked about and inaugurated. I don’t hear many people speaking on that nowadays.
How so? I've never heard anyone argue that the word of God and the kingdom of God are interchangeable one and the same. Be interested to hear how you came to this.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:” -what Do u see in Catholic Churches ? Exactly that.
Well, what I see in the Catholic church are images of Christ crucified which makes my heart ache for all the sins I have done, seeing all his wounds reminds me of the hardships he has to go through to save a wretched, unimportant sinner like me, and you know what else I see in the Catholic church? Images of men, of saints, holy and loyal to Jesus up to death, and. This images inspires me not to waste my life and be worthy of My saviour's sacrifice.
@@brianh2477 That's not my personal experience
But these are the 3 predictions Christ makes:
Prediction 1.
There was no Christian “group” or “sect” or “church” anywhere in the first 1,500 years of Christianity that believed in
1) Forensic justification + 2) Sola scriptura + 3) A priesthood of all believers SEPARATE and in exclusion of a ministerial priesthood.
Protestant Scholar Philip Schaff in his extensive 8 Volume History of the Christian Church writes:
"If anyone expects to find in any of the church fathers, including Augustine himself, the Protestant doctrine of justification by faith alone … will be greatly disappointed."
Giesler writes:
“One can be saved without believing that imputed righteousness (or forensic justification) is an essential part of the true gospel. Otherwise, few people were saved between the time of Paul and the Reformation, since scarcely anyone taught imputed righteousness (or forensic justification) during that period!”
The Lutheran scholar Hartmann Grisar addresses why the mature Luther does not try to use church fathers including Augustine the great to support his new doctrine. Grisar writes:
"It is not surprising that at a later date (after Luther was challenged) Luther hesitated to appeal to St. Augustine in support of his doctrine [of imputed righteousness] … AUGUSTINE AND ALL THE DOCTORS OF THE CHURCH ARE DECIDEDLY AGAINST HIM."
About “Sola Scriptura” the Luther Scholar Heiko Oberman who wrote the book Luther: Man Between God and the Devil wrote on page 220:
"Application of the Reformation principle of sola scriptura, the Scriptures alone, has not brought the certainty [Luther] anticipated.

In fact, Andre, what I found is, the only place in the entire Bible where the words “faith alone” are found, the words “not by” are right in front of them: “We see then that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.”
You have Matthew 12:36 and 37 where Jesus, speaking in the context of the final judgement, says-in verse 37, I’ll focus on-“by your words you will be justified, by your words you will be condemned.” Words are more than just faith.
Everlasting life, “-if we faint not.” Or if, as one translation says, “if we do not lose heart.”
My brother, I could go down a litany of more verses here, but here’s the bottom line: what I found is, Martin Luther’s justification by faith, which became what he called the doctrine upon which the Church rises or falls-that’s his most important doctrine-was absolutely un-Biblical, absolutely false, and this colored the Reformation, and has for the last 500 years.
If he will not even hear them, tell it to the church; and the one who fails to hear the church shall be as a heathen and a publican.”
In other words, Jesus established the Church to be His authority to speak for Him; that’s exactly what we see happen in the book of Acts-in Acts chapter 15 Andre, I’ll give you homework-when there was a heresy that threatened to tear a fledgling church apart there in Antioch in the first century, what did they do?
So true! No Pentacostal has ever casted out a demon, but Catholic exorcists do it daily
Got it? Now with that fresh in your mind, you have NO EXCUSE to remain catholic or eastern orthodox, once you read this scripture:
1 Timothy 4 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.
Catholics take sacred scripture and sacred tradition therefore we take the Bible and traditions and combine them
But some of your traditions are against the Bible.
correct, that's the problem... scripture specifically says NOT to do that. He explained that well.
Revelation 22:18-19
"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book".
Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: 8 “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me 9 They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.’[c]”
As long as you have a man made doctrine that you have elevated to the same status as God's word, the two will always be in conflict.
You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions. Mark 7:8
So which one of you is willing to tell Christ that the religion He started is wrong?
He already knows

Key points about this topic:
Low percentage for charity:
Some sources state that only around 10% of donations specifically designated for helping the poor actually reach charitable causes.

Vatican budget concerns:
A significant portion of donations meant for the poor can be used to cover the Vatican's administrative expenses and budget deficits.

Great video and on point. Thank for sharing this very important message!!
Then, Jesus called my mom's name and said, "Turn away from sin."
I looked at my mom immediately and asked what was the sin Jesus meant.
