I thought I was a Christian for 20 + years. My name could be found on several church membership rolls during that time starting at the RCC, EVFC,
    BAPTIST both American and Southern…
I served on different ministries at all these churches in some capacity.
At the age of 49 I sat down and began reading THE BIBLE for THE VERY FIRST TIME with a real desire to know GOD better. It wasn’t long before GOD showed me I did not know HIM at all.
In fact the god I thought I knew in hindsight looked and sounded an awful lot like me.
In the summer of 2007 I began reading GOD’S WORD with great hunger and thirst in search of TRUTH!!! Everything GOD said I simply believed and heeded. The exact day and hour I was born again and I received THE HOLY SPIRIT I cannot pinpoint only that it happen the summer of 2007.
My relationship with GOD my FATHER through JESUS CHRIST my LORD and SAVIOR with each and every passing day has only grown deeper sweeter stronger.
I know personally the power of being self deceived and I know the power of the gospel🙏❤️😘

I was involved in two churches and 2 ministries over a period of 15 years and found myself backsliding and one day heard in my mind "Hey, why don't you listen to some preaching instead." This began the journey of wanting to actually KNOW God for myself which meant relationship through prayer, reading the Bible and cutting many other things out of my life. I do still attend church but I seek Jesus for myself daily and don't just rely on the pastor to tell me truth anymore. Once we know Jesus for ourselves the Holy Spirit guides us into all truth.

I used to be a Catholic until I was confronted with a question: Joseph, how do you know that what the priest is telling you is truth? I stood there, looked at the guy and said: you are right, I only believe that what they say is the truth. Went to the bookstore, got a NKJ Bible and started reading. Never went back. That was when I was living in the US. Couple years later I returned home, to the Czech Republic and today I have a ministry called Loud Cry Ministries and I share the Truth with people, I rent billboards and spread the true message all over the place. All that because of the mercy of God. Halleluyah! All praise be to HIM! Peace be with you! Joseph

I know that what the priest is telling me is true because he isn't speaking from his personal thoughts but it's the Church founded by Jesus Christ who is speaking through him. All priests will give you the same answer based on the Bible and the Tradition (teachings of the first apostles that have been transmitted by the Catholic Church since 2000 years).
Protestantism is only based on the Bible and you have as many interpretations and answers as pastors !

@dominique3992 so have you actually read the Bible? I believe that you have not because if you did, you'd see that the Catholic Church practices idolatry, necromancy and substitutes the Pope for Christ as the mediator between God and man. They changed up the 10 Commandments to remove the second commandment, and teaches a works based salvation which negates what Christ did for us on the cross. I spent 20 years in that church until I started asking questions and God showed me the truth. I pray that he removes the veil from your eyes too.

@@KillerofGods It depends what you have read. Have you started at the beginning? Well, if you did, you know that the seventh day God blessed is Sabbath/ Saturday, not Sunday, look at Jews to confirm this. We must understand this! The day God Blessed is Sabbath, not Sunday, it is a commamoration of CREATION! And yes, IT MATTERS very much, because this and marriage are two institutions God established in the Garden, and these two are those Adam brought with him from the Garden. Look at today. Marriage under attack, and Sabbath? Destroyed! Why? Because we are in a spriritual war between God and Satan! Good and Evil, truth and lie! IT IS A SPIRITUAL WAR! Catholic church has changed the commandments, which was prophecied long before Christ, Daniel 7:25. Do some study on that. Do you think the rise of Pope is coincident? OH NO! THis was prophecied and it is being fulfilled! Revelation 13, the wound be healed, the beast=papacy will be followed by the whole word, believer/non believers will bow down to them. They never changed, they just changed the strategy and we need to open our spiritual eyes to see it otherwise we will be deceived! Jesus warned us in Mat.24:4+5, DECEPTION is the name of the game. They are representatives of the devil on the earth! They pretend to stand for GOD but that is the biggist deception ever and people have no idea! God says clearly in the book of Revelation that whosover will receive the mark of the beast, whosoever bows down to them/it (bowing=obedience) will be destroyed by God, never ever will they be saved! Sabbath is in the original ten commandments, Exodus 20, and again, remember, it is the commemoration of CREATION, not resurrection of Christ! Do not be fooled! We are in a war! Shalom.

@@hlasitevolani1575 And you should know they found the Lord risen on the first day. All the gospels mention this... The seventh day is the celebration of creation. The first is the celebration of the recreation and the resurrection, to practice the seventh is to deny the first.
Paul broke bread on the first day (communion.) He also told the church to collect tithes on the first day (while they were all gathered for worship.)
Christ fulfilled the law of Moses and instituted the new law. New wine for new wineskins. To practice the law of Moses is a denial of Christ's fulfilment. It is the first heresy talked about in the bible, those who wished to practice the law (of Moses.) And not the law given to us by Christ through his church.

I read the Bible as a Catholic around the same age and I had guesting about the faith but I didn't just leave the church. I studied scripture and read the earliest writings from the first century onward and I stayed Catholic. The early church was 100 percent Catholic. Jesus started the church and he gave the apostles his authority, and that authority exists today in the successors of the apostles, the Bishops. You have to read scripture along with the oral tradition of the Church as Paul said to in his Epistle to the Thessalonians. There is no Bible alone Christianity but scripture and tradition.

Then I thought of the fact that so many people are converting to Catholicism, so it’s good that he spoke so strongly to that.
I was also thinking that because he didn’t have this charismatic “Steven Furtick” delivery, that many people wouldn’t listen. But that is exactly what he was speaking of. @@KillerofGods it’s very easy, we believe and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for our salvation. We believe and trust in Gods word and His promises. We hold God’s authoritative word above all else. We say to those children of Satan who try to invalidate Gods word by their man made traditions, we will not abide in anything but Christ, we will not be shaken for our foundation in firmly planted in Christ through His Spirit, we will not bend a knee to anyone or anything other than the one who sits on the throne in heaven. Pretty simple. We say no to man and yes to Gods grace through faith, resting in Christ’s work.

      @KillerofGods 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@@CCiPencil I mean I can agree to all that, I just don't agree with your interpretation of the scriptures. It's an extremely shallow interpretation.
Protestantism is like the Ethiopian who is struggling to understand the scriptures on his own. To fully understand the bible you need to read it for every meaning.
Just as Moses led the Israelites out of captivity, through the red sea (a prefigurement of baptism) and into their new lives and gave them the law (of Moses.)
Just as Jesus freed our souls from the captivity of sin through baptism and gave us his church.
So you should go to those blessed with discernment, the church fathers. I'd also suggest looking into the spirituality and mysticism in Orthodoxy (even if you don't plan on converting.) And incorporating some of those principles into your life.

Catholic means "universal". This is the name that the Christian Ecclesia gave to herself in order to distinguish the catholic faith (i.e. the faith that was held by all the Christian Churches which derived from the apostles by succession) from the various Christian groups which, either were self appointed, or were legitimate Churches but their leaders had developed a theology and spiritual practices that didn't coincide with the ones of the rest of the Churches.
The Canon of the New Testament, the doctrine of Trinity, as well as the other dogmas of the Christians were defined by the Catholic Church which remained one and single until the 11th century AD.

This is awesome info! ❤. I recently departed a church I went to 5 times (in SanAntonio). Nit wasn’t a big church, but the impression was of feel good. I went to their Q&A with the ‘pastor’ and my first question was the age of the earth (approximate). The ‘pastor’ was literally suspicious and asked, “WHY would you ask me that?” I smiled and shrugged my shoulders and remained silent. With my silence , I didn’t ’defend’ my question. I waited. The answer was disappointing and didn’t hold to God’s Word. The second question I asked was about a particular lifestyle. There again, the answer was not Biblical. These questions are foundational. I’m a retired police officer and have no problem going to the heart of the matter and seeking the truth. I’ve located another church which is said to be doctrinally sound and 4 of the 5 Elders have been through The Master’s Seminary. I’ll test to see if this church holds true to God’s Word. I hope it does.

"The Masters Seminary" taught by John MacArthur is heretical, due to the fact that JMAC is a Calvinist and Lordship salvationist.
Both of which these are false doctrines when lined up with the Bible in context of passages and verses in their true meaning.
Sadly a large majority of churches nowadays have adopted to various degrees Calvinism/Lordship salvation.
Both should be marked and avoided.

Which word? He continually stresses the word of God. But which word?
      Consider:
Modern bibles loe, change who God is and continually challenge God's word by asking, Did God say? Come on, really?
God said He preserved His word. Psalm 12:6-7. Most modern bibles do not. In other words they are not admitting that God has a standard, His inspired word. His word is quick (alive) and quickens (gives life). His word is eternal. In fact, they deny that God preserved His word!
Most of the modern bibles have at least one out and out lie. NKJB lies in Exodus 6:3. They began to call on the name of the Lord in Genesis 4:26.
Others quote Jesus telling his brothers, i am not going to the feast. John 7:8. (Is he saying he is going to break the law of Moses?) He waits and then goes. Liar! BLASPHEMY .
Jesus simply said, not going now, not yet. He waits and then goes. No problem, no lie.
And blatantly they mock Jesus and unashamedly, constantly, with each change ask, Did God say? "All things were made by Him and without Him was not anything made that was made. " John 1:3.
      Clearly He is the Creator.
Their Jesus was but a vessel. "Made through him."
Did God say Mark 11:26? Absolutely. It is an essential part of our walk with God. A verse that makes us tremble was added?????
Did God say? Acts 15:34? It shows God's divine providence. Silas was there when Paul needed him for a journey. Obviously Silas remained there.
BRAZENLY, they change or remove a word that gives the believers true power! Matthew 12:31 and Mark 9:29! Some spiritual warfare needs prayer and fasting!
Did God say eleven (11) times in the New Testament the word damnation, eternal burning? Yes. But not in theirs! Did God say?
Did God give three witnesses to that truth? Mark 9:44, 46, 48. They however only have v48. The other two they ask, Did God say? This is important because we need to know the truth and those who preach Annialism, we cease to exist, are easily proven wrong with these verses.
Jesus is God. Yet Jesus is man. Hebrews supports this with four verses, 3:3, 7:24, 8:3 and 10:12: "But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sin for ever, sat down at rhe right hand of God; Hebrews 10:12. They do not use the clarifying words 'this man' at all. Again, Did God say?
Every change they make is an insult to God and His word.
God said He would curse those who add to or take from His word. Revelation 22:18-19.
In the Old Testament those who honored a false prophet received the reward of that prophet. So the Alexandrian translators, the bible societies the publishers, the promoters, sellers and those who teach from them (showing those ear tickling bibles as God's word) or honor them will be held responsible. If done ignorantly, repent. God will not be mocked.
This happened when the inspired Antioch manuscripts called the Textus Receptus were replaced by the Alexandrian manuscripts called the Codex B or the Vaticanus from the Vatican basement, and the Sianiticus from a monestary. They do not agree with each other and the latter has about 30 changes per page. Obviously inspired by their spiritual father who brings conflict, frustration, despair and DOUBT.

Consider this for a moment. Since the undeniable, uncomfortable, and inconvenient truth does not change, then today's Christian’s truth must be on par with the truths expressed by the ancient Christians. Therefore, if I were to ask an Evangelical today, “What is your source for the foundation for truth?”, it wouldn't surprise me if they said, “The Bible.” However, since the Bible wasn't canonized until the 4th century, it would be impossible for the ancient Christians to affirm the Bible as their foundation for truth. But follow my logic before you offer a rebuttal. There were other writings of Peter and Paul that didn't make it into the Bible. Amongst the early Christians, there were other writings that many people considered as being the inspired word of God but didn't make it into the Bible. Determining what was considered Sacred Scripture was a matter of contention throughout the first four centuries. Therefore, for the early Christians, it would be impossible for them to assert the Bible as their foundation for truth. So a reasonable question one could ask is, “What did the ancient Christians gravitate to (as their foundation for truth) when there was no Bible?”
Well we know what they believed because Paul taught that the CHURCH is the Pillar and Foundation for Truth (1 Timothy 3:15) and gave an example of how God manifests His Wisdom through Her (Ephesians 3:10). Now when Jesus explained that the Holy Spirit will guide and teach you all truths (John 14:26 & 16:13)...we know the “you” that Jesus was talking about was in regards to the Church…not to every individual because Jesus makes this explicitly clear when He instructed the people to listen to what the Holy Spirit says to the Church which He reinforced to ALL of the churches in the book of Revelation. He reinforced it 7 times (Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 27 & 3:6,13, 22).
Jesus didn't institute a Bible, He instituted a Church and instructed the Faithful to listen to her (Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 27 & 3:6,13, 22). Now because of the misguided teachings of false pastors who have led many away from the Church…and since there was no Bible to lean on, Paul commanded the Faithful to adhere to the Traditions of the Church (2 Thessalonians 2:15)...lest they be led astray by some tickling of the ear (2 Timothy 4:3).
If one's foundation for truth is not the same biblical Foundation for Truth that the ancient Faithful and historical Christianity taught and believed for 16 centuries, then their foundation has fallen apart causing their truth to be grounded on a foundation that has been reformed.
I'll leave it at that so you can think about it.
I would love to address all your objections if you are willing to have a peaceful and respectful dialogue with me.

At 13, although brought up in a Catholic home, I recognized that there was no power in the Catholic church. Why anyone would leave a protestant faith for a religion that is filled with deception and man made error that does not even follow the word of God? God is real, He sent His son to provide a way to know God and that is through His sacrifice on the cross. "He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement for our peace was laid upon Him and by His stripes, we are healed." His sacrifice and resurrection pays for our adoption into the family of God. All you must do is accept Jesus sacrifice on the cross, call on the name of the Lord and you will be saved. Read Romans 10:9 and 10. God loves you and wants you to spent eternity with Him. Being a Christian is not for the faint of heart but you are never alone. Heaven or Hell. We get to choose.

13 is a very young age to discern that about the Catholic Church. What a blessing.
Please consider this problem. Most read the Roman Catholic Protestant modern bibles. They were created to cast doubt on God's word. They have done an excellent job!
      Let me explain:
Most modern bibles lie, change who God is and continually challenge God and His word by asking, Did God say?

Go deeper in your faith. The book of Romans was written to a church that was established on the day of Pentecost. Acts 2:10. Jesus said you needed to be born of the water (baptism in the name of Jesus) and the Spirit (same experience that happened to the 120 in upper room and then 3000 vs.41.) Peter held the keys to the kingdom Matt.16:19. Peter stood on the day of Pentecost and opened heaven with those keys. Peter knew Jesus was God manifested in the flesh ITim 3:16. The invisible God needed to be seen, experience humanity, and break the Law of Sin and Death; the soul that sins shall die.
Yes, there is a church that believes Jesus’ and Peter’s words. There is a very narrow way. Search for it with your whole heart until you find it.

Try to find the common ground in your faith to have peace. 1- The Bible was written by Catholics. 2- Jesus said to Peter on this rock you will build my church. Peter became the 1st Pope and named the church Catholic, meaning Universal Love. 3- The Pope is a successer to Peter the 1st shepard to guard the word. The Pope's job nomatter how wonderful or distasteful he may be is to not change the word. The Pope today is not liked even by his own staff of Cardinals, etc. The Pope still held the word and said NO to homosexual marriage. He refused to marry homosexuals in asking of him and gave good luck to ya blessing to dismiss it.
4- King James was an Athiest homosexual who hated God and women. He changed the Bible by removing the word love for charity. Love is a great bonding above all.
Charity is a care to help the needy.
King James added the word witch and witchcraft. He would blame events like weather or boat sinking, etc, on women who he felt were mostly witches. He would burn towns women alive because of bad weather, saying they did it. As a boy, he tortured animals. He started his book to hold a control over England. The Catholics were releasing an English Bible for Britain to aid in bibical understanding. He ordered all bibles burned and only his Bible in the homes. If you refuse, your family is killed. Many were slaughtered .
The original Bible written by the Apostles, who under Peter were Catholics.
      Yes, they all died Catholics.
5- Understand Catholics don't worship Mary or the Apostles or any Saint. Catholics worship Jesus/God.
6- Saints are people believed to have gone to heaven, including maybe even your grandma.
The Bible says saints or saint in its vocabulary.
7- Catholics believe salvation is more than accepting Christ as your savior. Scripture states that in many places, we are to give of ourselves in good works to others from our hearts. Not personal gain in insurance to go to heaven, it's from the heart. You must have the love to want to help others . You can't be a jackazz and believe you're saved because you accept christ as lord.
When you leave this world, all you have is the Love you gave and the Love given to you.
8- purgatory is mentioned in the description in 3 places in the Bible.
So you die in sin, lots of it. Ya didn't think the 3rd commandment really meant what it says. Do you go to church on Sunday?
Keep the sabath day holy. How about lying or taking God's name in vain. Just running around saying, "Oh God or JESUS! is wrong.
Ya gossip, judge others because they don't worship the same as you but still worship with great respect and adoration for God? Sinful sinful sinful.
      Jealous of another?
Steal or put other things before God?
      All sins. All people sin.
In a Catholic church their is no disrespect of our Christian brothers and sisters of Protestant beliefs.
Catholics work alongside many churches of faith like Baptist and Methodist, etc.
All is welcome, and we look at what we have in common.
We are all the body of Christ.
You won't see only this guy's church in heaven and all the rest looking in through the gates or in hell.
      You love your daughter.
      She loves you.
If you can't find common love in your creator and understand he loves both of you, you lose much in this life.
Your daughter will pick her husbpick1st.eShe vowed this. You want a family and closnes with your daughter? The Bible says to do unto others as you would have done to you.
When you hold against your son in law , you hurt your daughter to the core. You get one life and leave with the love you gave or the sin you dragged with you.
      We are all Christians
This guy in the video should be saving athiests. This is a sin.
      Peace be with you.

@@TheGospelAccordingToMarkyD you're reading "church" into everything because you made an interpretive error in one place. The fact is, just reading the Bible lets us know those in the Bible already knew what the canon was: Jesus referenced the entire OT when he referred to the Law of Moses, Prophets, and Psalms in Luke 24 (notice He referenced the Hebrew canon which doesn't include the apocrypha). Likewise, Peter at the end of 2 Peter calls Paul's epistles scripture on the same level as the OT. And Paul, in the verse about "tradition," defines what "tradition" is: it's what the apostles themselves passed down, whether by word or by mouth. This is far from the Catholic's version of "tradition," which is more like what Jesus condemns in Matt. 7. So the biblical canon already existed. The "Catholic Church," which looked then nothing like it does today, only decided to "officially" codify the canon that was already known. Read the church fathers before the 4th century and you'll see just how much they were already quoting the Bible. They already had it. What you claim is a distorted "truth" the Catholic Church likes to peddle.

@@heckbr2 It is anachronistic to assume that the books of the OT canon are the same books that are contained in the Protestant Bibles today. If the canon of the OT is determined by what books are mentioned in it, then by that standard there are other books mentioned in the Bible that should be considered canonical. Do a Google search for “Non-canonical books referenced in the Bible”. If the OT is determined by the books from which Jesus quotes from, then there are also deuterocanonical books that He quotes from as well. Google it. Another thing to consider is that there are OT books that Jesus didn't quote from. So does His silence negate their canonicity?
Peter & Paul wrote other letters that were not included in the Bible so why aren't the other letters considered on the same level as the OT? These are just rhetorical questions to promote thought and research. Please don't receive my questions as though I am being combative or condescending. That's far from what's in my heart. My only intention is to share what Catholicism really teaches while hoping to make a brother in Christ along the way.
You are correct that “Paul, in the verse about ‘tradition’, defines what ‘tradition’ is: it's what the apostles themselves passed down, whether by word or by mouth.’" So with our agreement of understanding, Paul would have explained (orally) what he wrote down. But if you just read what he wrote without his explanation, you might conclude a different understanding. We know what he wrote but what did he explain? His explanation (to what he wrote) was to be handed down via oral tradition. Paul tells Timothy to, “Follow the pattern of the SOUND WORDS which you have heard from me, in the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus; GUARD THE TRUTH that has been entrusted to you by the Holy Spirit who dwells within us.” (2 Timothy 1:13-14).
The Gospel that Paul received from Jesus is now entrusted to Timothy for safekeeping (1 Tim 6:20). His highest responsibility is to preserve it from corruption, to defend it from attack, and to pass it along completely and intact to his successors (2 Tim 2:2).
The example of Jesus’ second coming is a perfect example of better understanding what Paul wrote through oral tradition. Through Paul's writing we can know for sure what he wrote. However, when you neglect the oral tradition of what has been passed on, you end up with a different understanding of what he wrote in 1 Thess 4:15-17.
The Rapture scenario, as it is understood by Evangelicals today, was never taught throughout historical Christianity. This modern day doctrine is a recent Protestant tradition that was concocted in the United States in the late 19th century by a Protestant Pastor named John Nelson Darby. It was Darby who formed his convictions according to a so-called "revelation" of a dream from a 15 year old girl named Margaret MacDonald. In the course of time, he circulated his perspectives as footnotes within the Scofield Reference Bible but it didn't gain much traction. However, it began to gain momentum during the 1970's and grew like wildfire after the release of the book "The Late Great Planet Earth" by Hal Lindsey. The book became so popular that it was turned into a movie and catapulted the "Left Behind" series by Tim LaHaye.
When the end time events of the Book of Revelation were explained by Hippolytus of Rome who was born in 170 AD, he gave no explanation of the Evangelical Rapture Theology type scenario. One would think that a Church Father who was born a few decades after the death of the last Apostles would have taught about Christians being caught up to Heaven when writing a long exposition on the subject. From the very early Church until the late 19th century, the Evangelical Rapture view was never taught throughout Christendom. So, a reasonable question one could ask is, "Why didn't any biblical scholar throughout the centuries (or any of the Reformation Fathers) pick up on the Evangelical Rapture Scenario?"
Perhaps it's because when 1 Thess 4:15-17 is understood in its proper context, Christians would want to be LEFT BEHIND.
When the oral tradition of Paul's writing is cut off, one ends up following the doctrine of another oral tradition based on a little girl's dream.
Many Christians have been led to believe that “the biblical canon already existed" during the time of Jesus. However, that is far from the truth. Most Evangelicals recognize that the Sadducees only accepted the five books of Moses. The reason for the difference of opinion between the Sadducees and the Pharisees was because the Canon of the Old Testament had not been determined during the time of Jesus. The existence of contention between the two groups should make a person notice division amongst God's faithful. It is believed by many today that the Jews in Jesus' day were unified and practiced one faith. Although they all shared many core doctrines of beliefs, they were not unified in faith. Not all Jewish leaders agreed with how to interpret the Law and Scripture. Variances of opinion were many because of a disconnect of the tradition of oral interpretation while they were in Exile. Trying to make sense of Scripture without the Mosaic understanding caused splinters that gave rise to different schools of thought (i.e., denominations). By the time of Jesus, two religious persuasions had come into being known as the Pharisees and Sadducees. There were two other groups who followed the teachings of Rabbi Hillel and Rabbi Shammai. The Dead Sea Scrolls also mentions an ascetic group known as the Essenes (John the Baptist is thought to be an Essene). The Jewish historian Josephus makes mention of an additional sect known as the Zealots (also noted in Luke 6:15 & Acts 1:13). Yet, even another faction of the congregation of Korah is revealed in the Mishna (a redaction of oral traditions). Smaller sects also existed such as the Herodians and Therapeutae (Thur-rá-pu-dee). Lastly, we cannot forget about the Samaritans amongst others that I didn't mention. With all the denominations that existed in Jesus' day, one should recognize that the reason people gravitated to different persuasions was because of the disconnect of the “Mosaic magisterium” and disagreement over what is considered the Inspired Word of God. Therefore, each group regarded different sets of scripture - as Sacred.
But this still might not be enough to convince you. According to your view, the Protestant Old Testament Canon is the same Canon that was accepted amongst the first Christians. However, all of the Protestant Bibles contained the Apocrypha after the Protestant Reformation. You couldn't find a Bible without it for more than a century after the reformation. In fact, the KJV 1611 Bible contained the Apocrypha. It wasn't until the late 19th century until they were removed from the KJV. I'm sure you would agree that it is unlawful to add or remove anything from the Bible. Therefore, your Bible does not contain the fullness of God's Word. This should make you wonder, “Who took books out of the Bible and by what authority?”
      The answer to that question…
A very small influential group took books out of the Bible on the authority of greed and profit. Do a Wikipedia search for “Apocrypha controversy” to learn more.
What I present in my article is not a case for authority or canonicity, but rather to introduce the Jewish perspective that proclaims the Old Testament canon as being determined, not by a so-called Council of Jamnia, but instead by one man - Akiba Ben Joseph who was a contemporary of the Apostles. According to the Jewish Encyclopedia:
"Eminent as Akiba was by his magnanimity and moral worthiness, he was still more so by his intellectual capacity, by which he secured an enduring influence upon his contemporaries and upon posterity. In the first place, Akiba was the one who definitely fixed the canon of the Old Testament books.”
Akiba ben Joseph rummaged through competing scriptures and tradition to determine what to pass on and what to discard. He then dedicated them into writing and declared what was to be considered as Sacred Scripture. As the passage in the Jewish Encyclopedia continues to reveal:
"…He protested strongly against the canonicity of certain of the Apocrypha…
…To the same motive underlying his antagonism to the apocrypha, namely, the desire to disarm Christians-especially Jewish Christians- who drew their "proofs" from the apocrypha, must also be attributed his wish to emancipate the Jews of the Dispersion from the domination of the Septuagint…"
It also goes on to express that not only was the Jewish Canon determined by Rabbi Akiba ben Joseph (who was a contemporary of the Apostles), it emphasizes that he “protested” heavily against the Canon of the Apocrypha (emphasis mine). It is what motivated Akiba to reject the Apocrypha from his canon because the Christians in the Apostolic era were drawing their proofs from it. What is important to recognize is that this Jewish source acknowledges the Apocryphal Canon of the first Christians that existed during the Apostlic era. This begs an answer to the question, "If the Bible of the first Christians contained the apocryphal books who were drawing their proofs from it, why are they absent in many Christian Bibles today for them to draw proofs from it as well?"
It should also be noted that Akiba was the one who proclaimed a false messiah to lead a revolt against the Romans. It was this revolt that caused the war that led to the destruction of the 2nd Temple.
So what many accept as the true Bible are missing books that were removed for the sake of greed and profit under the guise of a canon that was determined by one man who erroneously professed a false messiah, which caused the demise of the 2nd Temple and the near genocide of his own people.

I have for many years believed that the enemy used that word deceptively to keep people from embracing the Word of God fully. People are afraid of being called judgmental because its been so engrained in us to not be judgmental. What a breath of fresh air to hear this explained. I have been saying for a long time that we are called to make righteous judgments in love. And yet i am often get caught up in the trap of friends and family labeling me as being judgmental and then i become more tolerant of untruths. Jesus Christ said : "You mustn't judge".
He was talking about a person not the acts. We can see that with the adultery woman who was about to be killed with stones. He told her: "I do not judge you. Go and don't sin anymore".
It means that you mustn' t judge a person who sinned because you don't know the circumstances and what happened in her life that made her sin . Only God knows and can judge her. But you can say that this behavior or this act is a sin.
This pastor is misleading you just to attack the Catholic Church like all Protestants do. The main purpose of Protestantism is attacking the Church of Jesus just like Satan.

Mike and team! My heart is overwhelmed with thanks for this message, but also shaken to my core searching for how to answer so many sceptics within our own ranks!
Sometimes I do not answer well, although I truly believe God's Word. When answering our son, he wants Jesus, but questions the canonization of the NT, and the eye witness accounts. He has been raised carefully in the Word, and has suffered assault after assault of the enemy. He is currently in a mental Hospital, and has some times of true clarity, but when he brings the word into question again, I see the same spirit behind the attack as before.
It makes me angry inside, but I don't show it. I want to defend, surprised at the error, and yet sometimes I'm not as prepared as I should be.
I so want to be, although knowing God's Word, how to be better equipped and prepared, because it will happen again and again, and our desire is to see our son completely delivered from deception! It weighs on us, night and day, and for almost 10 years now. He will soon be 27 years old.
Please pray! His name is Jordan!
Thank you for this urgent and poignant message!

Watch street preachers like David Lynn, Voddie Bachman and others that also know how to defend the faith. There is another that I can’t remember that defends the faith against Muslims.
David Lynn’s videos are long but worth it because not only he confronts different false teachings but does it with calmness and love. Start with watching his street ministry because there are practical questions and behaviors being confronted.

I will help you! Ask them this: “Was Jesus asking them to overturn the law against eating human flesh?” If they say “Yes” you can cite Matthew 5:17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.“ If they don’t back down, cite John 6:63. Right after His flesh and blood sermon, His disciples asked Him to explain, and He said, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.“ Attack the eucharist! It is the key that will bring down the entire church. God bless! Godspeed in the good fight

Coming out of the Catholic Church at 21. I went every Sunday faithfully. My Dad was so upset I left the RC Church. I told him I left the Church not God. After being witnessed to by a true friend for over a decade, it was how she conducted herself that I questioned my salvation. I knew she was a true follower of Jesus. Then I heard the Lords voice and I know that will make a lot of people say no way, but I truly did. He told me to go with my friend to Church or I'll die. I went that evening as a visitor was speaking. I knew he knew Jesus. I went to Housechurch on the Wednesday and the visitor speaker and his wife wanted to speak to me in private. They were old and I didn't feel threatened by them. I was defensive and told them I do believe in Jesus. Once they questioned me more, I gave my life to Jesus by praying with them. The next day I knew I was different. I couldn't stand hearing cussing (I was the worst), anger left me and I felt light as a feather. I also had a very strong feeling of belonging.
That was 29th May 1999. I thank God for my friends boldness in witnessing about Jesus, with words and without words, she's with the Lord and will see her soon. She wrote a song and I tried my best to sing it as she asked my to write the chords and play with my guitar. I came across it after she went to be with the Lord. I hope I blessed the Lord by praising the Lord with the words and music she wrote. The song is on my channel with a picture of my dear friend Allison coming up stairs. I thank God that he brought a great and true friend in my life. Don’t put off coming to the Lord today as we're not guaranteed tomorrow. Don’t be hard hearted and proud of being a Catholic like I was that kept me from coming sooner. Jesus is coming for his Church, not denominations! He wants you, give yourself today. Maranatha ❤ Hope to see you in the clouds.

For Christ did not enter holy places made with hands, which are patterned after the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us. Nor did He enter to offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own. For then He would have had to suffer repeatedly since the world was created, but now He has appeared ONCE at the end of the ages to put away sin by sacrificing Himself. As it is appointed for men to die once, but after this comes the judgment, so Christ was offered ONCE to bear the sins of many, and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin but to save those who eagerly wait for Him.“

We do not abandon Jesus and yhe church he built because of the sins and errors of fallen man. If you did the research before you generalise you would know the freemasons entered the church to destroy it, but Jesus said the gates of hell will not prevail against my church.❤

    • @peterkinberger9741

I guess all the tortures and burnings at the stakes of the truly faithful were products of freemasons ?? Many deeply sincere Christians were called heretics by the Catholic Church. Many popes were truly evil. One even wrote a book of magic spells for the sake of sex. Lust is one of several identifiers of Satan's servants. True Christianity is about love, not lust. Catholicism is a cult, not a true church. I have spent many years researching the matter and when the keys of Rome were given to the so called church a great compromise was made resulting in the Catholic Church you see now. After the last Apostle died, Christianity went into a tailspin, Iraeneus writes about it and gives account of the state of Christianity in his day. He was a student of the much beloved Polycarp who was a student of John, one of the apostles. Thw whole of Christianity can be accounted for without Catholic denials and teachings. There is enough historical documentation to piece together what happened from the time Christ walked on this earth, to the present. We know that Satan is ingenious and very crafty by virtue of what creature he was and is today. Today's Christians must learn then preach about love as they are held to live it. No man can enter Heaven without love in his heart for God is love. Jesus proclaimed that God is Love and He is a Spirit. Jesus said He was one with the Father. The true Gospel of Jesus Christ is the Gospel of Love and was what his disciples were assigned to carry out in the entire world. Jesus will come back when this mission comes to full maturity and then He will reap what is His. I love you and I hope this message helps you on your path. A friend always !

I've not been listening to pastor Robert Morris very long and I've not heard his sermon as mentioned in this video before either. But after watching pastor Robert Morris I asked God if this was a pastor i should be learning from. My spirit wasn't clear on it either but was definitely uneasy. I honestly didn't see any of P Morris's sermons that you could consider a "feel good" sermon but messages of hope. Still i wanted to give Morris a chance and i guess that's where deception comes in. This belief of Assembly of God is false. "The AG considers salvation, baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues." Speaking in tongues is not evidence of salvation. Turning away from sin, confessing your sins to God, agreeing with God you are a sinner and trusting in Jesus Christ along for salvation. When we have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit when we are born again, evidence of this is loving what God loves and hating what God hates. Following Jesus Christ. When you are born again you will see a difference in your life. God changes us from the inside. We have a heart that loves God and is not rebellious to God anymore. Yesterday I attended a funeral/Catholic mass for two women who are our distant family members and who were murdered on Christmas Eve. There were hundreds of people at this service, and most were Catholics. It was heartbreaking on so many levels. Not only because the women who were killed were likely not saved; one certainly did not live a life demonstrating salvation (yes I understand that only God knows in these situations). Worse, the majority of the people at this Catholic church were unsaved...which is true for most of humanity. Matthew 7:13-15 comes to mind regarding the narrow and wide gates and wolves in sheep's clothing. When, during the service, they called for 'partaking of the eucharist', I did not participate. We regularly have communion in my non-denominational, non-prosperity, non-NAR/IHOP church; gratefully my pastor is Costi Hinn. I am still haunted by the tragedy of the entire situation. Praying to the Lord is my only refuge.

      Try this…
History shows us that Jesus didn't leave us a bible, the apostles didn't tell us which books belong in the bible, the church fathers never agreed on the 27 books of the NT through the 4th century, not only did they not agree but their list of would-be NT canons were GROWING during this time. So, if it wasn't the Catholic/Orthodox church that compiled the 27 books of the NT in the 5th century with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and preserved it by laboriously hand copying them over and over throughout the centuries before the invention of the printing press, the “rule of faith” for many, please tell us, show us, who did? And if this church no longer exists today, what good is the text which came forth from her if she couldn't sustain herself?

      Catholic (Gospel) vs BIBLICAL GOSPEL
Catholic path or gospel of salvation according to men (CCC 2068) plus:
      - Water baptism (256)
      - Sacraments (1129)
      - Good works (1477)
      - Catholic Mass (2180)
      - Penance (980)
      - Indulgences (1408)
      - Must keep the law (2068)
Gospel according to Jesus, given to Paul:
Paul was given the gospel of salvation by Jesus in order to bring the Gentiles into unity with His body.
Ephesians 3:6 (KJV): That the "Gentiles" should be fellowheirs, and of the "same body", and partakers of his promise in Christ by the "gospel".
By believing the gospel Paul received by direct revelation from Jesus, we are joined to Christ's body (the church).
Galatians 1:11-12 (KJV): But I certify you, brethren, that "THE GOSPEL" which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught [it], but by the "revelation" of Jesus Christ.
Paul did not receive his gospel from Peter; he preached a specific gospel reserved for the dispensation of grace that did not include the law. Peter was still under LAW IN early Acts!
The Catholic Church, however, says the keeping of the LAW is obligatory to salvation (CCC 2068).
Paul states that the LAW is not part of His gospel (Rom 6:14! So why does the CC teach the complete opposite?
CATHOLICS will say yea, but the 10 commandments are still in effect. In 1 Cor 3:6-11, Paul says the letter (law) engraved on stone is done away once one receives the Spirit. A spiritual person is led by the Spirit, not the law according to Paul. WARNING: an unsaved Catholic will not be able to understand this!
There is only one gospel that can be preached at this current time according to Gal 1:8-9. Paul's gospel can be found in 1 Cor 15:1-4 and Eph 1:13 among many other scriptures.
Now, compare the Catholic gospel (listed above) with the gospel Jesus gave us for right now and ask yourself if they are the same. Comparing point by point!

      Your brother in Christ,
      Marky D. “In the House"

God judges one based on the light (knowledge) they had. So, if they lived up to the little light they had, despite being Catholic, they are saved. According to Acts 17:29-30 God winked at people's ignorance. This means he overlooked what they did not know.
An example of this is the story of Israel King, Asa. In 1 King 15:9-14. He rejected all the sins he was aware of. 1 King 15:11 states that King Asa did what was right in God's eyes. Yet in verse 14, it states that Asa did not remove the high places (worship sites for false god) "Nevertheless Asa's heart was loyal to the Lord all his days." So God judged Asa for the light he knew. Later on another King, having more light (knowledge) destroyed the pagan high places.
