Stunning home. I bet the builders are thrilled with the prices soaring in Orlando. There may be hassles, but they sure are getting paid.
This is awesome and was very cool to see how people that have or have recently obtained wealth from out of state are changing part of the landscape as Florida economically flourishes from these times.

@@Austrian_blood bigger homes will always have a bigger energy footprint. But here in central FL, where the weather is relatively benign, it is not as big of a concern as in colder weather.
@@Austrian_blood yeah but cathedral ceilings are different. That home does not have cathedral ceilings, just high ceilings. Cathedral ceilings have much less plenum space since the ceiling plane follows the roof line and there is much less space for insulation and for hot air to move around. That home has a flat ceiling and likely has blown insulation in the plenum or attic space. I have 12 foot ceilings and when I installed blown insulation my electric bill changed dramatically. I am in an Orlando suburb as well and my peak cooling bill in the summer is below 300 in the peak months so it's really not that bad.
