Hi Jonathan, I just wanted to thank you for your videos. I was a little skeptical of stack and tilt but as soon as I tried the weight forward It instantly helped. I've slowly added different parts and now I'm fully converted. The change in my game is amazing. I'm 60 and I had lost a lot of distance over the years but now I'm hitting it like I did in my 20's!
This was my issue!!! I have not seen anything online to fix this. You have fixed my swing!!!! I really hope the world starts to see your videos. Please keep doing these. You are the best
Man, I would love to see you playing on tour! After two shoulder surgeries (a year apart) and right wrist surgery to repair a torn tendon, I left golf for a few years. Sadly, after being a single-digit handicap player, coming back I feel like I’m starting over. So many little pieces of the swing. Get one thing right, but something else is wrong. Your videos are helping me assemble my swing again. Some things I knew-and am being reminded, while some things are brand new to me. Thank you!
Another slick video Jonathan. You have a very clear and informative teaching style. I now have a better understanding of an area that, as you say, is not mentioned as much-loved as others.
another superb insight by its share simplicity. I have transformed my swing thanks to your punch drill and this drill which added the finishing touch. thanks man!!
Wow great video. Ive been struggling with weight trans & getting stuck on my trail side. I can see how weight naturally shifts forward with this drill. Great stuff!
Thought this video was brilliant. Virtually all Mid handicappers fail to show good footwork, and I’m hoping this will help me when I take it on the course.👍
Great video. I have struggled with too much weight towards my toe for years. Standing on the alignment stick to understand the left heel- right toe pressure on forward swing is brilliant. Thanks!!!
Wow this is amazing video as I def have footwork & balance issues in my swing. You are a very skilled teacher with easy to apply instruction. Great videos!
I have been working on trying to feel my swing through my feet. However I find discuss something I feel is vital. The total balance of the body over the feet. By which I mean weight distribution between the balls and heel at set up. Then trying to maintain that relation ship through the swing. I found the minute you allow your weight at set up to be on the balls ( front end) of your feet bad things happen to your golf swing. I maintain balance by introducing a slight squat in the back swing and flattening my swing slightly. It’s produced good results. Thanks for your video.
Good video, very clearly explained while you showed what you were doing. Question, I do see some pro players finish with their lead foot on their toes. I’m guessing that’s for additional power, but does that kind of move take away from the rotational motion of the swing? Thanks for the lesson.
Simple yet detail video explaining the writs angles at setup vis-a-vis at impact. Unfortunately too technical for the lay golfer who has no understanding and appreciation of the anatomy and kinesiology of the golf swing. Great job nonetheless. Keep it up!!! Thanks.
Hey John it’s Myles. We stayed together at OFSAA when we were in Highschool. We represented Region of Peel by playing Twenty Valley in Niagara region. Keep up the videos.. even as an avid golfer I enjoy your videos. All the best. And let me know if you want to get out!
Going well! Started playing my best golf last year and I know my legs are the fault of my swing. Keep up your videos, informative and I like supporting the locals 👍🏼 Haha I see.. would be cool to play. How’s the golf out there?
After watching your 2 “stack and tilt” videos and now this video. Are you promoting the S&T? Do you think fairly higher handicap golfers would benefit? I may have missed something.
Question on the shoes, there is also an additional sole bundle to purchase. The soles that you mentioned are those the ones that come with the shoes? If not there appear to be 2 different types of sole inserts.
Very innovative videos! Well done. I still have trouble from time to time losing my balance on the follow through as my right foot goes forward. Is this the result of not enough weight forward?
Weight forward is a possibility but the way that you bend and tilt your body can also cause players to lose balance if they do not distribute their weight correctly
Hey Jonathan, at 7:38, that's the problem i have had, i always will have to step my right foot forward to get balance after the swing, do u know how to correct ? it's kinda embarrassed everytime i did that especially hitting driver...
I am a senior and less flexible. I find myself lifting my left heel to pivot better. If this isn’t a good idea then should I reduce my pivot so as not to lift my foot?
This is more of a weight distribution error. Keep more weight on the lead side as you rotate and you will need to learn to change the flex in your knees to give you more mobility
I have proper wt. shift during my practice swing but when I try to hit the ball my wt.. shifts tends to stay on my back foot. What would you suggest to help me out?
I always thought your weight was to move yo trail foot in back swing and then to lead foot, making weight transfer, like when throwing a ball. Is that not correct? Great videos BTW.
Ben Hogan would describe it as the Hips/knees perform a lateral shift which when accompanied by the foot work he is describing should give a nice balanced finish.
Lifting the front foot in the backswing should not be a problem, as long as you don't slide. Sam snead, Micky Wright, Jack N all came out fine.. just let it happen as u turn.. dont force it. Focus on sending the energy towards the target and your brain should help shift. It happens so fast u cant be thinking about it.. anyway this is what l do.. let me know if im way off. Cheers mate
Tremendous teacher I’ve seen plenty of golf videos but Jonathan takes the biscuit. So clear and to the point that he removes all the mystique associated with golf tuition. Keep it up mate. Terrific. Graham Tasmania
Excellent lesson
Hi Jonathan,

Thank you for this very helpful video Jonathan as I’ve been struggling to eradicate or reduce swaying on the backswing.
Thanks, Jonathan. I’m a really new beginner, and I tend to lose my balance when I roll my lead ankle. But, I’ll keep at it!
Excellent analysis of how the feet are involved with weight transfer, particularly for the lateral wt shift in the downswing.
Thanks!
This was my issue!!! I have not seen anything online to fix this. You have fixed my swing!!!! I really hope the world starts to see your videos. Please keep doing these. You are the best
same here
I have to leave a comment here: thank you Jonathan for another excellent video!

Best golf channel on the internet right now (Btw, I'm a long-time GolfTec student!). Thanks for being so generous with your knowledge!
Thanks for the video. Almost stack and tilt type footword/weight factors.
Wow great video. Ive been struggling with weight trans & getting stuck on my trail side. I can see how weight naturally shifts forward with this drill. Great stuff!

Great lesson in proper way to incorporate the lower body in the swing .
I have a new pair of FJ's to test today as my feet have been slipping during the downswing. Nicely explained, and easy to check on. Thanks. 👍🏼
Another great video - you have such a fantastic way of breaking down the detail. Thanks a lot for sharing

I agree.. l feel a pressure in the right heel as l go back.. helps me turn better
simple and straightforward, attention to the core, absolutely brilliant!
Fantastic tip and presentation. Thank you

Again , another very good lesson video thank you
Awesome! Love your channel, went to the driving range to using the 55-60% weight on lead foot and fixed my hip rotation problems. Thank you so much!
Just what I needed explained in the down swing. Thanks
Really love what you make. I train my golf and my English with. Thanks for making all this video.
Regards.
Great videos keep them coming. Any chance of doing a video on a golf swing that is easy on the back. Thanks
Great Drill really helped me
Great video. Thanks again for your help
amazing video - thank you so much - makes a lot of sense and made a huge difference to my swing
Simple yet detail video explaining the writs angles at setup vis-a-vis at impact. Unfortunately too technical for the lay golfer who has no understanding and appreciation of the anatomy and kinesiology of the golf swing. Great job nonetheless. Keep it up!!! Thanks.
Keep up the great work!

And let me know if you want to get out!
How’s it going! I am currently based in Singapore now haha
Going well! Started playing my best golf last year and I know my legs are the fault of my swing. Keep up your videos, informative and I like supporting the locals 👍🏼
Haha I see.. would be cool to play. How’s the golf out there?
Very good instruction. Great tips and drills. Thx.
Superb video, very helpful.
Excellent!
Nice logic. Thanks
Another great video mate thanks
Great video seems like I get good feet balance when both of my knees go towards the target at the same time on my downswing
Thanks Jon!!! Great tip!!
Very good video. You helped me correct my bad habit of legs movement. Thank you :-)
Great video. Almost all videos discus the torso on up, not many on lower body and feet movements
Awesome lesson.
Great, as always!!
Great!! As always.
Great lesson! Do you have a video that has drills to stop swaying on the downswing? Thank you.
Keep going! Liked on the second 1 :D
Great video!
Great videos Jonathan!
Will Work on! 👍
Great drill 👌
Awesome thanks
Great videos.
After watching your 2 “stack and tilt” videos and now this video. Are you promoting the S&T? Do you think fairly higher handicap golfers would benefit? I may have missed something.
When do you raise your trailing foot? before contact or after contact?
Is JKM a stack n tilt guy?
Good video
Very good
Does having the trail foot on end help with power/balance/accuracy? What’s the point?
Question on the shoes, there is also an additional sole bundle to purchase. The soles that you mentioned are those the ones that come with the shoes? If not there appear to be 2 different types of sole inserts.
The ones I got came with the shoes I never bought any additional inserts
Very innovative videos! Well done. I still have trouble from time to time losing my balance on the follow through as my right foot goes forward. Is this the result of not enough weight forward?
Weight forward is a possibility but the way that you bend and tilt your body can also cause players to lose balance if they do not distribute their weight correctly
Hey Jonathon- Have you put out a video or do you plan to on early extension? I think that would work very well with this video…
Hey Jonathan, at 7:38, that's the problem i have had, i always will have to step my right foot forward to get balance after the swing, do u know how to correct ? it's kinda embarrassed everytime i did that especially hitting driver...
is this for the driver as well?
What is the name of that website to go to for the shoes thanks again for your excellent lesson
www.Athalonz.com
Heeled golf shoes vs flat golf shoes impact on the swing? Thank you
It can affect your ability to transfer weight to your lead side. I would check out Athalonz shoes. They are good 👍
I am a senior and less flexible.
I would need to see your swing on video for me to be more specific for you.
I always thought your weight was to move yo trail foot in back swing and then to lead foot, making weight transfer, like when throwing a ball. Is that not correct? Great videos BTW.
I believe that would be the accustomed method for a conventional swing, this gentleman i believe is instructing the Stack n Tilt method
How do you prevent a collapse of the left side when you slide?
Is not more weight on lead side in backswing...reverse pivot ?
How are you getting weight forward though. Do you push off back foot
Ben Hogan would describe it as the Hips/knees perform a lateral shift which when accompanied by the foot work he is describing should give a nice balanced finish.
Are the golf shoes waterproof
Am I right the first move on the down swing is sliding the hip a little forward before rotating the hip?
I would say no... u slide and turn at the same time. But this should be a result of u sending energy towards the taget. Like with a frisbee..etc.
@@thomasholdtchristensen9566 Agree! I was trying to double confirm my knowledge.
👍

So after backswing to the top, how many percent weight should put in lead foot
My foot work is like Scottie Scheffler 😂
Instructors talk too much about “what not to do”. Just show “what to do”
Then later show the donts”. Section
Shameless plug for the golf shoes
Please quit showing what wrong with the swing and just show the proper swing. You keep stopping and starting. Very confusing!
Not agreed, yes it makes the video longer but it’s very helpful to see what we don’t have to do. Great videos.
Strongly disagreed!
You show too much time on people mistakes instead of showing the corrected swing that we need to watch the most
Very good
