Fun story from my childhood. Richard Lynch was also a certified substitute teacher in California. He once subbed in my 4th grade class back in the day. I remember he walked in, took 1 look at our teacher's notes and said "This is lame". Then he asked "Hey kids, you wanna watcha a movie?" and busted out a copy of what else.....The Barbarians! After the movie he sat us all around and told us stories about how he always loved playing the villain because it's way more fun. That was the best day of school ever!

You guys missed the ultimate joke with the crossbow at the end! It didn't misfire. The villain forgot that the barbarians bit off his fingers when they were little kids! He was trying to fire the crossbow but forgot even after all these years that he doesn't have an index finger to pull the trigger! 😀

And I thought it was funniest joke in the whole movie with the longest and biggest setup and foreshadowing. But I can see why many people might miss that shot on the television where it might be too fast and small on regular screens to see that he is trying to pull crossbow with no finger there. 😀He is jiggling the crossbow in that close-up but there are no fingers to pull the trigger!
From what I remember, the twins couldn't act for toffee but they were having a blast, so it was a case of "As long as everyone else can act around them, we'll fix it in post"
One of the brothers, David Paul, died just in 2020, at the age of 62. His brother Peter Paul is still living. They were retired in vermont. From an instagram account i found seems like David was still pretty buff even in his sixties, tho no longer a roid monster. He seems to have spent his time playing guitar, making furniture and doing pretty damn good photography.
I think Erin caught on to it, hence why she was laughing hysterically. It doesn't work on all the babes obviously. At that point, they should of gone the south park route and drawn some tatas on the wall, and fought each other over them.

Their image was good-natured but dumb twins. They hammed it up, a lot. Their main thing was combining body building and power lifting. Nice boys from Connecticut

I saw this as a kid on pay cable and thought this was awesome! The steroid riddled ‘80s were just the greatest! The fact that a jewel fitting in a chicks belly button shows that she’s the chosen one and breaking the noose with their neck flexing we’re the two most epic moments in this movie….and I think added to a teenage kink about belly buttons lolol
@@JasonBrant I had nowhere near the fun that I did watching this video. Cannon was the go-to studio in the 80s. I watched a lot of their output in HS and College. They are the "professional" studio for so-bad-it's-good movies. Part of the problem with this one is that I watched a bunch of barbarian movies hoping they would be as good as "Conan". Sadly, they never were. That and the twins are just so goofy.
This was such a fun watch we all appreciate it. Dude you got to watch some of the Rifftrax movies like Future Force and Future Zone for some serious David Carradine jokes!
If you haven't, look into these two unique dudes. I was surprised to learn more about them. Your videos often send me down the research rabbit hole. You guys need to do Firewalker. It's a classic Canon film that is perfect for this channel. It stars Chuck Norris, Luis Gossett Jr, Melody Anderson, and recently departed M.A.S.H ilumni, Richard Lee Sung.
This was one of the best episodes, great fun. If you want to see a truly bizarre so bad it´s good movie with countless wtf moments I would recommend The Greasy Strangler.

I think we were all on our first beer when we started the movie. We hadn't seen Dave and his awesome wife in 5 months, so we were pretty wired.
I love how the most popular line used in every video is "what is happening?" Pretty much sums up most of 70's and 80's cheesy movies.

I saw this as a kid on pay cable and thought this was awesome! The steroid riddled ‘80s were just the greatest! The fact that a jewel fitting in a chicks belly button shows that she’s the chosen one and breaking the noose with their neck flexing we’re the two most epic moments in this movie….and I think added to a teenage kink about belly buttons lolol

@@JasonBrant I had nowhere near the fun that I did watching this video. Cannon was the go-to studio in the 80s. I watched a lot of their output in HS and College. They are the "professional" studio for so-bad-it's-good movies.
Part of the problem with this one is that I watched a bunch of barbarian movies hoping they would be as good as "Conan". Sadly, they never were. That and the twins are just so goofy.
This episode proves Cannon can make any movie idea come to life with a bunch of coke and body oil
Their formula is foolproof!
This is probably the best episode you guys have done.

This was one of the best episodes, great fun. If you want to see a truly bizarre so bad it´s good movie with countless wtf moments I would recommend The Greasy Strangler.
