I'm just a random 18 year old teenager from Italy who likes watching dumb movies and TH-cam videos, and today I discovered your channel thanks to the weird and misterious TH-cam recomendations algorithm. I don't think I've never had this much fun watching a group of people I've never met joking togheter. I expected you to have at least a couple hundred thousands subscribers, you guys are extremely underappreciated and deserve way more subs! Also the gun he was using was a .50 AE Desert Eagle, one of the biggest handguns you could legally own at the time. Cause Texas. And the whole thing was filmed...in Texas. So R.O.T.O.R. was like a big endorsement of Texas. Come to our state. Drink lots of sweet coffee from huge cups, Blow shit up, Shoot big guns, and get murdernated by robot cops.
One of my all time favourites "so bad its good" is "Strike Commando" Although i have seen it under another name. Its got Reb Brown in it as the lead. It has some fantastically cheesy one liners and soviet stereotyping. Plus in my early teens I was lucky enough to have a VCR with frame advance...Those two frames of the dummy with a mop on its head (stand in for Christopher Connelly) before exploding caused so much mirth that underwear was usually spoilt (Pissed ourselves laughing...literally).
I'm so ill in the head I excitedly recorded this off the Action! Channel onto VHS then forced people to watch it for years (me and my sister regularly say "it's like a chainsaw set to frappe" to explain things functioning at a high intensity). I always had a feeling the person that put it on that channel also knew as well.

The ultimate 1980s bad movie classic... I watched this beauty for the first time back when I rented the VHS (released in Australia by Premiere - a subsidiary of Roadshow Entertainment) from my local video store (which was located only one block from my house), all the way back in 1992 and I enjoyed it, although I quickly forgot it by binge-renting Terminator 2. I eventually bought a VHS copy in 2005 (a day before my father died) but the tape was damaged. I then imported the Mill Creek "Sci-Fi Invasion" box set (which had a seriously truncated print which removed all the goofiest dialogue to make the film more serious), forcing me to locate another VHS copy to replace the previous one. Trouble was that copy also had damage, but in a different spot so I was able to create a composite print to put on DVD. Trying to collect a decent copy of this film for my collection was a crazy amount of trouble for me but I eventually beat this sucker to my tune... (If that last sentence sounds like a masturbation pun, it was unintentional).
I love how, I have already watched a few other people review this movie, but every different channel picks out different things to focus on so I get to watch a little more with each review without having to actually watch the movie.

I subscribed to your channel. You guys are hilarious! The movie Above the Law with Charlie Sheen is definitely worth checking out! The movie came out in 1993 and is based on a true story about an undercover agent that infiltrates an outlaw motorcycle gang. Michael Madson is the leader of the outlaw motorcycle club! The rock band Asphalt Ballet does the sound track for the movie and it's a rockin' track! Keep up the great movie reviews and I was dying with laughter( tears) when I watched your Steven Seagal reviews! Every Which Way But Loose is another movie worth checking out starring Clint Eastwood -1978!
I think the Charlie Sheen movie is called Beyond the Law. Other than that, you are absolutely right. It is amazing B movie made for TV biker action cheese.

This is one of my favorite bad movies of all time. The overworked robot cop, the terrible fights and effects, the music, angry cop giving every line as though he’s in extreme pain, skunk woman, everything about it is delightful. It’s also really refreshing to see a b-movie where the woman (Silvia) isn’t constantly assaulted by men. The truck driver could have tried to rape her like I’d expect in a shitty movie, but instead he immediately jumps to her aid

In case you were wondering, the actor who plays the lead Coldyron (and yes that is how it is spelled), Richard Gesswein, was also the producer of the movie. R.O.T.O.R was also the only movie he ever did and given that he was born in '39 I'd say it's safe to assume he is no longer with us.
I don't know if anyone else made this comment, but the lead actor, Richard Gesswein, was a producer and investor of the movie. He was dubbed over because he had a high, nasally voice in reality. So this is actually a vanity project. This is also his only credit.

Here's some trivia: the movie's release was delayed by almost 2 years due to financial problems.By the time director Cullen Blaine was able to find the money to finish post-production,several members of the cast,including lead actor Richard Gesswein,either could not be tracked down or refused to return for ADR dubbing,forcing Blaine to have other actors overdub all of their dialogue

ok so fun fact about this movie: it was supposed to be a comedy at one point. dont remember all the details but i do know it was meant to be a comedy which is why things like the fry cook having giant teeth are in the movie lol. i think i watched a vid about it on like bad movie bible or something? that channel sometimes goes deep into bad movies and has trivia about it. like in uhmm omg wtf is the movie with reb brown and cameron mitchell in space? space mutany? well in that movie they wanted reb but reb wouldn't do it unless his wife could be in the movie. the woman hes with in the movie who looks like a 40 year old mom? R.O.T.O.R. one of those six degrees of separation in my life. Funny this being part of a ROBOCOP ripoff it was filmed the Dallas, TX area I am sure roughly the same time as ROBOCOP was filmed there. I actually saw in the paper info about ROBOCOP being filmed and asking for extras which I wished I had gone for. With R.O.T.O.R. I don't recall if I heard about it being filmed at that time. But this was pre Internet times. Flash forward about a decade and I was interviewing for an artist position at a dotcom company in the SF Bay Area and who should be interviewing me but one Budd Lewis the co writer of this film, which I did not know at the time or probably about this film itself. I did know about Budd for horror comics he was a writer for that I would get in my childhood. I really thought he was a decent writer of those stories. Anyways I did not get the job but holy heck was the interview fun and interesting! I think we talked about more paranormal stuff than anything else. I do wished I had worked with him thinking about it now. Anyways he did much work in other films and much storyboard work in animation. He passed away about a decade ago and it sounds like his last few years were financially challenging sadly enough! Anyways just some useless trivia and I really enjoy your show and have seen many of the films you review! I really dig your takes on them and such. Cheers!

I subscribed to your channel. You guys are hilarious! The movie Above the Law with Charlie Sheen is definitely worth checking out! The movie came out in 1993 and is based on a true story about an undercover agent that infiltrates an outlaw motorcycle gang. Michael Madson is the leader of the outlaw motorcycle club! The rock band Asphalt Ballet does the sound track for the movie and it's a rockin' track! Keep up the great movie reviews and I was dying with laughter( tears) when I watched your Steven Seagal reviews!
Every Which Way But Loose is another movie worth checking out starring Clint Eastwood -1978!

This is one of my favorite bad movies of all time. The overworked robot cop, the terrible fights and effects, the music, angry cop giving every line as though he’s in extreme pain, skunk woman, everything about it is delightful. It’s also really refreshing to see a b-movie where the woman (Silvia) isn’t constantly assaulted by men. The truck driver could have tried to rape her like I’d expect in a shitty movie, but instead he immediately jumps to her aid

In case you were wondering, the actor who plays the lead Coldyron (and yes that is how it is spelled), Richard Gesswein, was also the producer of the movie. R.O.T.O.R was also the only movie he ever did and given that he was born in '39 I'd say it's safe to assume he is no longer with us.

I don't know if anyone else made this comment, but the lead actor, Richard Gesswein, was a producer and investor of the movie. He was dubbed over because he had a high, nasally voice in reality. So this is actually a vanity project. This is also his only credit.

Here's some trivia: the movie's release was delayed by almost 2 years due to financial problems.By the time director Cullen Blaine was able to find the money to finish post-production,several members of the cast,including lead actor Richard Gesswein,either could not be tracked down or refused to return for ADR dubbing,forcing Blaine to have other actors overdub all of their dialogue

ok so fun fact about this movie: it was supposed to be a comedy at one point. dont remember all the details but i do know it was meant to be a comedy which is why things like the fry cook having giant teeth are in the movie lol. i think i watched a vid about it on like bad movie bible or something? that channel sometimes goes deep into bad movies and has trivia about it. like in uhmm omg wtf is the movie with reb brown and cameron mitchell in space? space mutany? well in that movie they wanted reb but reb wouldn't do it unless his wife could be in the movie. the woman hes with in the movie who looks like a 40 year old mom? THATS HIS WIFE! also there was not meant to be light shining through the factory windows, editing fugged up and didn't cover it like they were told to. theres more stuff like that on that YT but i still can't believe THIS movie was supposed to be comedy. i mean it kinda is with how bad it is but thats unintentional funny.
the channel also goes into ninja 3 and explains how sho hated the female being lead because it didn't make sense to him. also that movie was told to be a mix of POLTERGIEST and that movie with jennifer grey... FLASHDANCE! the reason was because they were popular that year so they were like "duurr lets put them together so itll make it the bestestest" also the man who made the movie was a choreographer, specifically for electric boogaloo which is why the lead is the lead from those movies lol. its why she lives in a weird factory house and her job is weird.
R.O.T.O.R. one of those six degrees of separation in my life. Funny this being part of a ROBOCOP ripoff it was filmed the Dallas, TX area I am sure roughly the same time as ROBOCOP was filmed there. I actually saw in the paper info about ROBOCOP being filmed and asking for extras which I wished I had gone for. With R.O.T.O.R. I don't recall if I heard about it being filmed at that time. But this was pre Internet times.
Flash forward about a decade and I was interviewing for an artist position at a dotcom company in the SF Bay Area and who should be interviewing me but one Budd Lewis the co writer of this film, which I did not know at the time or probably about this film itself. I did know about Budd for horror comics he was a writer for that I would get in my childhood. I really thought he was a decent writer of those stories. Anyways I did not get the job but holy heck was the interview fun and interesting! I think we talked about more paranormal stuff than anything else. I do wished I had worked with him thinking about it now. Anyways he did much work in other films and much storyboard work in animation. He passed away about a decade ago and it sounds like his last few years were financially challenging sadly enough! Anyways just some useless trivia and I really enjoy your show and have seen many of the films you review! I really dig your takes on them and such. Cheers!
