My childhood was very tough. My dad left when I was two. He had been abusive, so it was actually a good thing, but I never had a father in my life. My mom was mentally ill having Borderline Personality Disorder. She pawned my brother and I off to many people in our childhood because she could not handle being a single parent. I cared for my mom and dealt with so much emotional abuse until she passed when I was in my early 50’s. She had no one else. God took the broken pieces and has redeemed so much in my life. I have an amazing husband who chose me in my brokenness and took on the task of fathering my beautiful children. There has been so much healing over the last 17 years. God has brought me a peace and joy that I never thought I could attain. Do I still have struggles? Yes, broken pieces still find their way to the surface, but the way I handle them has changed so much. God has truly stepped in as my father in every way. There is beauty from ashes if you choose to trust your life and healing in The Great Healer. Thank you so much for this podcast. It has taught me so much and I can resonate with all of your wonderful guests. ❤

God never once took the broken pieces and made anything good, joyful beautiful redeemed. I don't think that there is a good God anywhere that I have ever experienced in my 50 years of life. Just destruction always.

This is insane timing. I know I'm seeing this months later than when you posted it, but I found this video through a short, and immediately saw your comment. I was just talking to God about how I've just realized I'm more affected by my childhood than I ever thought. It hurts so bad to process these things and to see how it has really really hurt me. But processing the way my parents broken marriage and the way my broken childhood has hurt me has deepened my desire to have a better future. I just prayed that God would help me to have a healthy marriage one day, where I can finally see how it was always meant to be. Thank you for sharing your story here. I feel so much hope reading it.

The story about Jesus, Martha and Mary... I've lost two babies in the last 6 months and have been in such deep grief, feeling like God is not near. Wondering what He is doing. The impact of that example of Jesus and his actions towards the anger, sorrow and grief has brought me such comfort, knowing the truth of who He is. He is near the brokenhearted, as the word says. This story was the reminder I was needing, so thank you so much for opening up Candace, and Jennie, for your wisdom in sharing the Gospel. God bless you both ❤️

My husband and I are high school sweethearts. Married 37 years. He is a passionate person. We both have come a long long way. It’s been hard but at 63 we are in a good happy place.
Hang in there thru the hard times. Our love grows every year. Love your podcast so much. ❤

There is joy in knowing that there is another testament of Jesus Christ! Ezekiel 37: 15-17, The Bible is the stick of Judah and the Book of Mormon is the stick of Joseph! obtain a copy of them and study them together! One in thine hand!

My mom and dad were married almost 25 years before my dad died young. They had a great marriage. There were 5 of us kids. 2 boys, twin girls, then another boy. My oldest brother was a sadist and sa my sister and I along with physical abuse. My mom and dad were pretty wrapped up with his long illness so they couldn’t deal with him. They sent him away to a boys home but got no help for us kids. I’ve had a lifetime of relieving the trauma. My marriage failed and I still don’t know how to love myself.

What would your advice be for married couples who are unequally yoked, how can they be encouraged and and given advice as friend looking into that marriage, to encourage them to consider being of like faith before kids come along.
I have tried cautioning a friend of mine (who is of Christian faith) before marrying someone of not the same faith(not Christian faith), that making decisions as a unit, in a biblical sense, in the future, will become more difficult as their marriage goes on.
Fast forward...they still got married, I am still friends with her, and encouraging along the way, but now this friend reaches out periodically for prayer about their marriage not being on the same page with decisions, including starting a family. I feel helpless because I don't know what to say other than I will pray along with her, and guide her to encouraging biblical wisdom, as well as your podcast...what more could I do to help, aside from this? I don't want to point a finger because I tried to give heed warning in advance so now it's hard to watch my warnings come to pass.😓 I earnestly want the best for my friend and her husband.❤

Candace Cameron, is Fame so important that you can't let go?? Or is Jesus the message in your lifetime movies?? You can have a form of godliness in like your lifetime shows like being sweet but your message is not Jesus. You can't just be sweet enough to go to heaven. God doesn't let sweet women in, so you working on Lifetime is just for your ego.
