❤ Candace thank you for sharing about your husband and the journey of faith ❤️ I'm married with a husband that has said the same things to me and I'm so encouraged 🎉

Agreed!! I actually started reading The Excellent Wife by Martha Peace yesterday and ended up reading that scripture from 1 Peter 3 a couple hours before watching this. The book was recommended to me by a sister who lived through it and is now serving alongside her husband and marriage is thriving. I suggest checking it out 🙏🏼

Praying for you now 🫶 My parents marriage was that way, until they sadly divorced. My Dad was an Amazing provider for us and with that worked many Sundays. I grew to realize he wasn’t interested in church and the ways of the Lord (I pray for him often til this day for his salvation . 🙏🏻🙏🏻 )
I mention their divorce aspect because- I encourage you to seek the Holy Spirit for discernment in leading you to be the wife He called you to be. I believe wisdom is learning from others mistakes. Spiritually, my Mom was so strong and faithful. But she lacked in many ways practically in the marriage (she rarely cooked & was behind often in maintaining the house…. No easy at all, I know, I’m a homemaker myself.) My Dad has shared with me that he would have liked for my Mom to be with him as he did repairs around the house, mechanics, or everyday things. And the practical aspect in the home was huge for him.)
I like how in this video, Allie mentioned the quote about letting our lives speak more than our actual words.
Believing along with you that God will touch your husband’s life to the point of salvation. 🫶🙏🏻

Meekness is not weakness, being meekness is strength under control. It’s bridling that strength in myself with Gods help.
I’ve pulled a lot out of this episode! But that right there! I grew up being told don’t cry that’s weakness, don’t let them caught you off guard that’s weakness. Don’t not defend yourself because then you’re a coward and you’ve put yourself 10 levels back. As a woman who has read the fruits of the spirit several times. Meekness I didn’t get! I’ve always prayed to understand….. thank you Allie and Candance! Wow! I understand it better now!!!

I’m like your daughter. I’m such a fight person and I really feel like it’s so difficult to be meek and to speak my mind in a way that is still showing the love of Jesus but also being respectful and having self control when other people do disagree. This really helps me

Wow 40:35 this was powerful I think this is one of the best Candace Cameron Bure interviews I’ve heard to date. The Bible verse where Jesus refuse to answer was so encouraging. 16:25 a great point. Sometimes we don’t even understand how us being on fire without wisdom can affect others. God himself doesn’t often throw himself in our faces.
“Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, when they see the purity and reverence of your lives.”

Wow! I had a very very similar experience reading a book from St. Nectarios called Get to know yourself. As I read the book I came to realise I was much more sinnful than I thought I was , each next chapter became more and more painful to read until I stopped reading it altogether, I just couldn't go on , it was way too much ... I decided to just forget about it and go with the flow again, continuing to go to church and call myself a Christian, but then soon after that one day I had a dream. I prefer to keep it to my self, but during this dream I literally felt all my filth and state of soul so incompatible with God in a single moment, I immediately woke up with a crazy heartbeat and afterwards I never dared to call my self a Christian... if asked I would just say : I am trying to be one, I want to be one , but I still don't have the guts and confidence to say that I am one ... Everyone should read such a book at some point on their life...

"I don't want to miss out on the things God has for me because of something someone else did I'm not willing to forgive." Also wise words. "Forgive them for they know not what they do" is a hard one to swallow, especially when they are the people that should love and appreciate you the most.
I also loved Candace's analogy of drifting in the beach current and keeping ourselves fixed on the reference point (fixed on Jesus, eyes focused on him, being anchored on him) - reading scripture and spending time with Him. "My life and relationship with Him and even mininstry has grown when I pour myself into the word, and I keep spending time." "The word is living and active." "And God will keep speaking to you through the word." "Through prayer, asking for the little things and asking for the real big things." "Talking to Him about literally everything, the big stuff and the small stuff in your life."
"Read until I speak to you, and then dwell on that."
    Great conversation.

AWESOME PODCAST WITH CANDACE. I REMEMBER HER FROM FULL HOUSE AND A FEW OF THE VIEW EPISODES. I THINK THAT SHE'S AMAZING WOMAN OF FAITH IN GOD. ALLISON, I COULD TELL HOW EXCITED YOU WERE INTERVIEWING HER. I'M GLAD THAT GOD IS STILL DOING AMAZING THINGS FOR HER FAMILY. I HOPE THAT SHE PUT YOU AND AUSTIN IN ONE OF THE HALLMARK CHRISTMAS MOVIES. STAY STRONG IN Y'ALL'S FAITH IN OUR SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, MAY GOD'S BLESSINGS BE WITH YOU ALL ALWAYS.🙂🙏🏾✝️❤️
