    Without getting into my family drama too much. I recently had a phone conversation with my sister-in-law and she brought up new/old information about the emotional abuse I endured from my mom. That just opened up all over again an old wound. I received a revelation (years ago...when the drama was all happening) and the Holy Ghost told me loud and clear: You never mind them. I knew I was being told, I'll deal with them, you just take care of you. So with the recent phone call, I prayed....okay that message just isn't enough to deal with this wound being re-opened. So, of course my prayers were answered. I found some sayings, a song popped up on my Pandora, and NOW your podcast. So, thank you. I learned from it that I have a narrow river and know that I am a person that wants to DEFEND myself and that will bring me sin in my anger. I will save this video and turn to it when I need help/comfort. Love to both of you.

      Wow: Sending you compassion, sister. I’m so sorry that that old wound was re-opened….that is very hard. I recently experienced that, too, though around painful financial issues (rather than familial issues). ❤ I, too, turned to the Holy Spirit in my pain and refused to blow up in anger - even though part of me wanted to do so. But, hey, we are all “new creations in Christ” - no matter how long it takes, as I like to say. 😂 The change in our hearts 💕 is both immediate and also takes a lifetime to integrate and embody. It’s all of it. So super grateful for this podcast and this space of support here with wonderful people. Bless 🙏🏻✨

    Favorite part is, when Jennie explained the river will be narrow with trauma experience. Yes, it not an excuse, but be compassionate about when they might go through.
    Great topics as always!

    No way!! Today I was thinking about godly anger versus non-godly anger. Then, my Bible reading of the day was John 2 (where Jesus flips the table. THEN I came across this podcast and what do they talk about? BOTH OF THOSE THINGS! The Lord works!

      I think the term you're looking for is righteous vs unrighteous anger.

    I listen to Candace and see her and all I feel and see and sense is Spring! Call me weird. So the spring colours, flowers and their odours! So sweet

    Laundry... definitely the one thing my kids saw me completely lose my mind over! A search for towels turned up a pile of--I kid you not--27 towels that were dumped in their bedrooms. Mom meltdown of epic proportions, for sure. That led to a wonderful thing, though. From that day on, each of my 5 kids was assigned a day to do their own laundry. No more meltdowns. Yeah, they have piles of dirty clothes still... but I no longer worry about it. That's their responsibility. It has been a sanity (and relationship) saver for our family.

    I am LOVING this so much!! You ladies are hitting it out of the park with these conversations ❤ Thank you for all the hard work you pour into each episode. It feels like we’re all just a bunch of girl friends getting together to chat over coffee-or tea or matcha ;-) and walking away refreshed and fueled to tackle anything!!

    I have two toddlers right now and struggle daily with losing my patience. I always feel so guilty and like a bad mom. But then I have to remind myself that my husband and I don’t have a “village”, it’s just us.. so of course I’m overwhelmed. BUT I still have a lot I can work on internally to improve my patience.

    HALT
    H-am I feeling Hungry?
    A- am I feeling Angry?
    L-am I feeling Lonely?
    T- am I feeling tired?
    This is helpful to ask yourself to help identify what you’re feeling and to assess your response to something. Often if we are hungry, angry, lonely, or tired it impacts our reactions and feelings towards a situation,

    I was always taught to take things said with a grain of salt. I believe that helps me to a point. I don't really get easily angered much when I do I am more hurt than angered . I just don't like anger but I do think it takes alot to have me get there

    • @rosebasl
      @rosebasl 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Same! Often I can brush things off and not let it affect me. Otherwise I get more hurt than angry too. If I ever get extremely upset, I normally cry it out rather than get mad.
