    What products am I missing?!

    I have 2C waves---very soft and open---and the gel that works the best for me is Jessicurl Spiralicious. I don't use mousse or styling creams because they weigh down my fine, high-porosity hair. After much experimenting, I've come to a very simple routine: shampoo, deep condition, gel, plop, pixie diffuse (more definition) or air dry (softer wave pattern).

    I totally needed this!! My hair is similar to yours and I am yet to learn how to tame it! Can't wait to try this out!

    I'm so glad I found you! I just started the CGM and it gets kind of confusing re the products. I discovered that I have 2a/2b low porosity hair and was doing all sorts of things wrong. I hope you continue updating as you continue your journey. Thanks again. Stay well.

      Thank you so much for this amazing comment! I'm 2a/2b too and it's a learning curve! I do miss heat...
      I'll do another update as it gets closer to summer!

    Love these curly hair tips, my hair is a little curlier than the 2A but my front strands can be a challenge and will get flatter. Great information, thank you!

    I'm so late to this, but it's super helpful. My hair texture has totally changed and now I also want to transition to at least wavy hair if I can to avoid any heat styling (also have some damage from prior highlights/heat styling0. My question - I heard you say the OlaPlex goes on damp but not cleaned (correct?) hair. Do you then just rinse it out and not wash your hair? Just checking!

    • @BariTaleCoaching
      @BariTaleCoaching  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I still LOVE the Olaplex mask. It goes on damp, dirty hair BEFORE you shampoo and condition. I use mine twice a week!

  • @magicmedic72

    Denman brush!! You can also co-wash (use only conditioner to "wash" your hair) on non wash days!

    • @BariTaleCoaching
      @BariTaleCoaching  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jenn, I've always been scared to do this with conditioner. Does it work?!

    • @dw7939
      @dw7939 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BariTaleCoaching Co-washing doesn't work well for low density (fine thin) 2a-2c hair. It ends up greasy and stringy. I can get away with maybe one day a week co-washing, but I have to wash my hair every 3-4 days or it's just too weighed down.
      Did you ever try co-washing?

    If your hair takes so much time to dry it seems to me that maybe it is not so porous, but it is low porosity and the cuticle of the hair stays closed and water can escape fairly slowly. I am also researching now and that's what I found about prosity. My hair is also low porosity and if I let it air-dry it takes like 4-6 hours to completely dry

    • @BariTaleCoaching
      @BariTaleCoaching  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh man! That’s so long. Thank you for this information!

  • @kenziehurlock

    You say your hair is 2A, but it looks way wavier than that to me. My hair is half wavy and half straight when it air dries. The waves are very larger and loose. I don't want to spend a ton of money on hair products that I don't know will work. I work at Sally's so I will get products from there. I'm thinking of just starting with Cantu cream curl activator.

    • @BariTaleCoaching
      @BariTaleCoaching  ปีที่แล้ว

      My sister LOVES the Cantù line but her hair is way curlier than mine! I’m experimenting lately with curl creams and mousse. I think my curls just hate winter…
