You go girl Edit: ummmmm OMG thx so much for the likes (also my fellow Army’s I love you all 😘) Edit 2: ummmmm 6.4k likes thank you guys so much I’ve never been so happy Edit 3: 6.6k thank you all sooooooo much also are any of you a multifandom I Stan so many Kpop groups it’s crazy
Yaassss, especially because it's usually different textures, i have mostly 3b hair but on the bottom I have some 2b, and in some random places I have 4a...I have no clue how they get there...
I think you‘ll have to layer your hair at the hairdresser since a "straight"/"normal" cut isn‘t made for wavy or curly hair, that‘s how you get way more volume and it will be soooo much wavier
K T for me it‘s the exact other way around, when they grow out the curls weigh down but not when they‘re freshly cut it gives you volume and lets the curls look sooo beautiful i love it
@@IsabellaDemarko Hey, just stopping by to say I have natural ringlets but after a couple days no brush (I wash once a week and aim to condition 3 times a week, brush only on those days in the shower) it goes straight as heck and frizzy too. You're not alone!!
Isabella, since your hair is fine and not type 4, I wouldn't recommend co-washing! I know everyone raves about it, but the curly girl method is not as great as everyone thinks it is. Yes, it's a great starting point with heaps of amazing tips, but personally, I've found for fine, 2A-3B hair, co-washing just doesn't do the job when trying to remove products that are in your hair, like creams and gels. I recommend that instead of co-washing, just wash your hair with a sulfate-free shampoo a little more regularly and use a sulfate shampoo every 2-3 washes to act as a 'reset' button on your scalp. I've tried this with 3A hair, and found it causes way less hair loss and scalp irritation, as well as increasing the quality and strength of my hair!
thanks for sharing x I'm not co-washing, it's a nonfoaming cleanser and i didn't realise when I bought it, so I didn't intend to co-wash when I started. my hair is a mixture of fine blonde and a lot of coarse red so it's difficult to label it and figure out what works, but thank you for your advice.
The idea of co-washing terrified me (oily, fine hair) so I never tried it. I use a sulphate shampoo once a month and deep condition every couple of weeks, and that seems to work for me. CGM can be like a cult sometimes!
Coming from someone who does have natuturally curly hair. I don't really use the curly girl method. I shampoo and conditioner with either a repairing product or a curl product, then I put a frizz control in my hair following with my actual curl product and scrunch those into my hair. Personally, I don't diffuse my hair because it adds frizz, but that is just my personal opinion on diffusing my hair, it just doesn't work for me. If it works for you go ahead and do it. I have tried the curly girl method and that doesn't really work for me. What works for me is finding what does work for me and piece it together to where I am happy with my curl pattern. Also, Isabella, I don't remember if you have addressed this in one of your videos, but NEVER brush/comb your hair when it is not wet. This will causebreakage of your hair, frizz and negatively effect your curl pattern.
I have 2b red-blonde hair as well and I‘ve found washing with a sulfate free shampoo really helpful to grow and strengthen it. My tip to get volume to the roots, is not to put conditioner there. Just apply it to your lengths
My hair went from strait to curly. And every day is different. Everyone's hair is different. Some people swear by buns, other's by braids. Some by co-washing, other's not. keep trying things out and figure out what works for you :)
Hey Isabella, speaking from experience I can definitely confirm that most likely your products are too heavy for your hair. When my hair transitioned from straight to wavy/curly I used products like creams and heavy gels which was notttt a good look on me because it make my hair heavy instead of light and bouncy. And to try and fight the weighed down effect it caused me to try methods like clips or drying upside down (yes I sat on my bed with my head upside down lol) to make it more voluminous. Instead of the products you might be using here are my suggestions: Instead of heavy creams I'd use lighter creams, try the Not Your Mother's Combing Cream (I use the Tahitian Gardenia one). For gels, I use mousse, same as creams I use Not Your Mother's and I use the maximum hold kind because mousse has a much lighter hold than most gels, so it's best to use the strongest you can find. I used to have to refresh my curls every morning because I would find that gels and heavy creams would actually malform my curls when I slept at them at night, which may not be the case for you, but I definitely helped when I switched over to lighter products. So now I only refresh them with a refreshing oil (I use Aussie's Miracle Curls Curl Refresher) which is very light and doesn't leave a shiny effect on my hair, and if I ever have a bad hair day I'll turn to spritzing it with water then using the curl refresher. Also another tip is if you feel your hair is dull, use argan oil (I use the one from OGX) on the ends, a very small amount, like 2 sprays rubbed between your hands, then comb it down one half of your hair and repeat. Some tips for the actual washing/drying part of your hair routine: Shampoo only the roots, and condition only the bottoms/middle (but avoid your scalp). The ends of our hair are typically more dry (especially with any kind of natural curl) and shampooing the roots should be enough to cleanse your hair as that is the place that collects the most dirt, and any excess is removed when rinsing the shampoo out. And I recommend against conditioning the roots because it can make it weighed down because of the moisturizing products in most conditioners, and our scalps already produce enough oil/sebum to keep the roots moisturized without any of our additional help. For drying, the first thing I do is I kind of break up my hair by flipping my head over and sort of separating the soaked hair from my scalp so that it is hanging loose from my head and not slicked back from the water any more (I hope that made sense it's kind of hard to describe). Then when it's still soaking I add my combing cream raking it through, then using the "praying hands method" I add the mousse and scrunch after. After that I use a microfiber towel (or cotton shirt) and remove excess moisture. Then after I spray on the argan oil to my ends if needed, and refresh in the morning. I workout every single day, so unlike the CGM usually recommends I wash my hair very frequently to avoid sweat/dirt buildup in my hair. This is what works for me and I've had curly hair for about 2 years now. I've gone through a LOT of products to get to the method I use now, and I've had a LOT of bad hair days, so hang in there because eventually you'll figure it out. Hope this helped!
@@yosnad I actually don't have specific favorites, but currently I am using Acure's Body Beautiful Shampoo and their Simply Smoothing Conditioner. My only rules for shampoo/conditioner are no sulfates and no silicones. I tend to mix up what I use because that can help fight build up and I also occasionally clarify my hair with head and shoulders to eliminate any build up that could've occurred just as an extra measure (I do that maybe once a month or so as needed).
@@lookouthill11 Thank you! And I'm glad it helped! IT can be extremely difficult for curly girls with a more wavy texture to find what works because not a lot of people with our hair type embrace it and so there isn't a lot of info. Have fun trying everything out!
Just a little fact: whether your hair is wavy, curly, transitioning from one to another, this type of texture (curly/wavy) will never have two days where it looks the same. So thats probably one of the reasons you’ve found inconsistencies. As a wavy haired girl myself i have had the same routine for 6 years since ive found what works for my hair, and it literally never dries the same ahah. Its normal baby girl xxx
When you first started were the waves not like waving properly if that makes sense like will it take time for my hair to adjust to the new method I’m using?
I have straightened my hair for my whole life. Since quarantine I dont go straighten it anymore and the roots are coming out wavy for 2 inches. My hair is now wavy on the top and straight in the bottom. Cant wait for it to grow wavy all out
Honestly the curly hair community can be so gate-keepy towards wavy haired people.. like a wave is a type of curl.. Great video, I’m happy you’re getting somewhere with your hair, it takes a while but it’s sooooo worth it :)
Lol some days my hair is straight with really slight waves, some days my hair is wavy (2c-3a), and some it is very curly (3c-4a). What heck am I supposed to call my hair then? 😂
Natural girls do not wear their curly hair everyday.... We also do protective style... And i think wearing a satin bonet will help more than the high pony
Aylam Cheyne tbh the term is kind of in debate. Some believe that it includes only type 4 haired girls (coily/kinky) while others believe it should include those with curly hair. 🤷🏾♀️
Not gonna lie, I wear wash-n-gos every day. I have no patience for full-on braids, and I lose more hair from buns than I do from detangling hair I've left loose. Different strokes, different folks. Definitely agree on the satin bonnet, though. Best thing I've purchased.
Heyy so here are some things I realised about my hair that might help yours or anyone's. Just for context, I have 2B, 2C, 3A hair. 1. It's very important to cleanse your hair properly. I do a deep cleanse with a sulphate shampoo every month, but I also have a sulphate free shampoo (by cantu) that helps to remove buildup. I use that one in one day and use another one that's more gentle the next wash day. 2. When I style my hair wet, I get much more definition that when it's damp. Make sure your hair makes the squishy sound when you aply your products, that means its absorbing it. I dont use a microphyber towel before aplying the styling products, only after. But your hair also must not be too wet, you have to find a mid term. 3. I scrunch my hair with a tshirt or a microphyber towel after styling it and then I plop it (if you dont know what it is, please search it, I think it will help you a lot) 4. Hammock difusing makes your waves way more defined and curlier. 5. You should also try fingercoiling your hair, manesbymel has a great video on that. 6. Deep conditioning every week (with a silicone free deep conditioner, I can't stress that enough) using heat to open the cuticles is very important, if you use heat you hair will be much more hydrated. I started doing that every week and my hair became way softer and shinier. 7. You shuld try using a curl cream with the gel, to give you more definition and less frizz. But look for one that is light, made for wavy hair, that way it won't weight your hair down. Also, a curl defining cream is different than a leave in, cause its supposed to give you definition. A leave in will ony give it moisture, not definition. If I were you I wouldn't use a leave in, it might weight your hair down, just look for a cream that says it will define your hair I hope I helped someone, this took me a long time to figure out but please remember that everyone's hair is different and just because it worked for me doesn't mean it will work for you
Hey Isabella, as someone who has been doing the cgm for about 10 months, I can relate to the struggles you are going though about good and bad hair days during the first few months of cgm. But, here are some things I’ve learned that I think could really help your curls/waves 1. Your hair is in the middle of transitioning from straight to curly and it’s going to be pretty funky for generally about 2-3 months and then it will likely get better. 2. You seem to have a lot of buildup from the products you use so you probably need to clarify your hair about once a month, which means washing your hair with a sulfate shampoo which is then followed up by a deep conditioner (I recommend suave daily clarifying shampoo for wavy/curly hair) 3. I think the products you are using might be too heavy for your hair and you might want to look into lighter products or products made for waves, because it it very likely that they are weighing down your hair and curl pattern. 4. Also if you are looking for more uniformity in your waves/curls I would definitely recommend trying finger coiling, which will not only make your curls more uniform, but will also make them appear tighter( Curly Cailin has a video on how to do this) I hope this can help your waves/curls out some! Keep up the good work because it will eventually pay off!
Marcy G Yes! I was going to say some of the same stuff! For waves, try a spray leave-in instead of a heavier cream-based one and use milks and other more watery styling products instead of thick ones like butters. It should definitely help! Those are great 30-day results, and it will only keep getting better. Don’t give up!
Dani B Hairspray should be fine for hold, but it won’t moisturize and fight frizz... I keep hearing good things about the NYM Curl Talk leave-in, but I haven’t tried it since I can’t find it in my city. You could try ordering it online if you have trouble finding it too. An influencer I follow said it’s probably a good idea to spray it into your hand first and then smooth and rake it through since it has a really concentrated spray radius. You might also look at the Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus line. They have a styling milk that I think is supposed to condition and fight frizz. I have 3a/3b curls, so I’ve been using the Curl Enhancing Smoothie, which is much thicker and heavier than the milk. That line smells amazing! Try one of those or something similar (look for a more watery texture) for moisture and frizz and then maybe a mousse for hold. I’ve heard good things about NYM Curl Talk mousse.
I guess if you can help her you can help me or at least I hope so...so my hair is straight but when I am getting out of the shower some little parts of my hair are wavy or curly...plus there are curly baby hair growing in my head. What should I do? I really don't know how to take care of them!!!any tips? Literally anything! Please I need help!!!!!I would really appreciate it if you could answer me
error 404 When you get out of the shower you should first try scrunching your hair. If you don’t know how to do this, there are tons of vids on how to do it. Make sure to avoid shampoos, conditioners, and styling products with lots of harsh chemicals like alcohols and sulfates. You also want to make sure that your hair is hydrated because curly hair tends to be dryer than regular hair. So for products I would recommend using leave in conditioner(they have sprays and creams so if you have thicker hair it’s better to use cream and if it’s thinner it’s better to use spray) you’re also going to want to use styling gels creams and mousses. I personally think that gel and cream hold my curls better than mousse. ( it again if you have thinner hair mousse and gel would probably better for you, but you’ll want to get a lighter gel. But thick hair could use a thicker gel and the cream.) you’re going to want to wash your hair with lukewarm water and avoid any type of heat styling product as much as possible. Try drying your hair with a microfiber towel. You can also use a diffuser for your hairdryer but I prefer to let my hair air dry because I notice that I have a lot less frizz but with a diffuser I have a lot more volume. You can look up videos on how to diffuse your hair as well. You’re also not going to want wash your hair to much because like I said, curly hair is typically more dry and washing it too often can strip your scalp of it’s natural oils. Also avoid brushing your hair while it’s dry. A lot of people say not to brush it while it’s wet but I use a wide toothed comb to get the tangled out of my hair in the shower. Some people have different opinions on how to apply products to curly hair. Some people say to take it through with your hands and some say to scrunch it in. There are so many videos in TH-cam about curly hair that you can watch as well that show you what products to you and how to use them. Hope I helped😉
@@eutuxia_. you want a funny girl that have beautiful curly hair and literally just spills out truth? Try Manes by Mel I prefer her because she follows some steps of CGM, but not all. They say not to brush your hair while dry, and my issue is that I myself CAN'T do that. I do have pretty wavy and curly hair, but I also have 3.5 feet of it. Lol you try brushing all that with just a wide tooth comb and getting those tiny hair knots out haha it's impossible
I'm so confused I've always thought I had straight, frizzy, and deceptively thick hair but when wet my hair looks like your wet hair. If I let it dry and don't brush it, it has a really nice wave. Should I be using the curly girl method?
hh it sounds like I have the same type of hair as you, I’m starting the curly girl method soon, if you think it will be good, go for it. Just research first :)
Yes give it a shot, but don't be afraid to clarify your hair once a month. Doing that and being careful not to use too heavy of products eliminates the buildup issues that cgm can cause sometimes
I have crazy curly hair, I never did any of these tips till March last year and wow!! It was shit for months lol but lock down so meh. After a few months my curls were so much glosser, defined and healthy, it also grew Alot! To be fair I'm currently back to square one as I started using shampoo and heat again 🤦🏼♀️ but I definitely recommend trying! It take a while to see improvement but Holy moly it's worth it!!
The beautiful and annoying part about curly/ wavy hair is that it has a mind of it's own. I too went down the CGM rabbit hole a few years ago and now that my hair is "healthier", I have started slowly introducing silicones back into my styling routine. I watch manesbymell and wearing a bonnet at night instead of putting my hair in a ponytail preserves the curls/waves so much better. When you choose to look into new products, I would suggest Noughty Hair Care line.
May I ask why did you decide to go reach back to silicones? I have been trying to avoid silicones since last year and I'm curious to know if it's a better option in the long run.
@@IsabellaDemarko I use a car wash towel. lol its microfiber but meant to absorb alot more water so they are generally thicker. aka better at drying it faster. random but it works lol
Your hair is so pretty and looks so much healthier! Honestly even the “bad” hair days look nicer than before you started the curly girl method. Definitely keep trying and figuring out what works for you! Stay healthy & I hope whatever was getting you down this month gets better. P.S. I find that hair loose in a satin/silk bonnet can help preserve curls better if the pony tail isn’t working
Hey Isabella, when you’re diffusing start from the roots and not from the ends. It makes your hair a lot frizzier if you start of from the ends and it will disturb your curl pattern.
Hey! I’m a stylist from DC and watching your hair transition into soft curls has been very interesting! This is actually very common with alot of my young clients and it’s all about embracing what is becoming of you and your beauty 💗Since watching I’ve noticed alot of beautiful curls forming in the back but challenging around the face and on top. Your scrunching technique is perfect. I would suggest taking one inch square sections around the crown of your head and with your scrunching gel twist your hair into ringlets while your head is tilted over. This encourages volume and enhancement of curls to form as you diffuse. Let me know if that helps!👋🏽🙆🏽♀️😀
I played hair dresser with my dolls when I was younger and I was thinking the same thing. It's very thick so layers would probably make a huge difference in her curl
It was great seeing you briefly address the people getting angry at you for calling your hair curly. Honestly, it can get tiring when people take things personally and compare everything to themselves. "You call THAT curly? You haven't seen MY hair!" I mean, people deal with different problems in different ways, there's no need to turn everything into a competition 😅 Anyway, your hair looks so much better after you try out this method! I hope it will keep getting healthier and cuter with all the care you put into it!
@@urassisgras4600 actually every hair is suitable for the method, not just curly. Obviously, people with straight hair won't do the scrunch nor other steps. Its main purpose is to stop using abrasive and toxic products on the hair. Just because she's moisturising her hair doesn't mean she's changing her hair pattern.
I love how she puts the add in the middle of the video in a way that seems like she's just talking about what she did the day before, smooth And I like how honest she is about her life (without spilling all the tea)
Your hair is very pretty and you don’t give it enough credit. I thought your hair looked lovely many of the times you thought you were having a bad hair day. Try making your own flaxseed gel and see how that works. It doesn’t leave any residue, it’s all natural and super easy to make. Also, aloe vera juice and gel really helps hold curls. Try the Lily of the Desert brand and see if it makes a difference. Your hair looks 100% better than before!!! This method is totally working for you. God bless and stay well!
Literally clapped at seeing you make the breakthrough finally after 5-6 years of struggle. The results are better than you originally had aspired for! Cheers ..great stuff :)
We literally have the same hair type. I KNOW THE STRUGGLE GIRL! 😭 I find that using some hair spray after scrunching (while your hair is still wet) holds the curls/waves so much better than gel or mouse. I also scrunch with leave-in conditioner instead of gel.
I feel like waves and curls are two different categories. I feel like this: Straight, waves , curls , kinks, and coils. And of course type four hair and lower 3 hair can have a mixture of the last three.
I always saw curls as containing spirals, ringlets, or loops. Waves and curls look distinctly different and including waves in the curl category makes it wayyy too big a category.
@@garnetBUNNIES wavy is a curl pattern, and it gets to be a bit much when you keep getting comments like "your hair isn't even curly" when you're just trying to figure out what to with it since it's not straight
Garnet Bunnies It is for people who get so heated about people with wavy hair trying curly hair methods to make their hair look nicer. I don’t know why people make everything so damn personal.
I have curly hair. I recommend to not put you hair up on a ponytail at night, I recommend to put your hair on one simple braid. Ones you wake up take off the braid and scrunch it up with mouse or gel, I recommend the Volume Pantene mouse. I don’t find gel to help me as much as mouse does and ponytails are definetly a no for me since it pulls the curls from the top and just staightens them out. A braid will keep your curls during the night and won’t get as messy. Try just one braid, I part my hair down the middle and do the braid lose at the top and tighter while going down. And for showering I recommend detangling the hair with your fingers and not with a brush so you won’t pull on the curls straight. And for after showering I recommend to scrunch it up with mouse and not detangaling the hair so much. Pleaseeee try this hopefully it works on your hair, it works perfectly on mine and I love my hair. So please read this comment and take it to consideration. Love your channel 💗
I'm not sure where I heard this but girls with wavy hair are suppose to use sulfate shampoos at least once a month. Actually not only for wavy hair but also curly ones. It's not good to have build up on your scalp and not washing it away properly. But everything works differently for everyone.
Niki Sarmah I have 3b hair and I use sulfates and silicons sometimes, it really depends on your hair and how you wash your hair! Where as some curly girls don’t use them at all. It really depends on you
So true! I have to use a shampoo with sulfate in once or twice a month, if I don't my hair feels sticky and heavy. I usually use a conditioner and hair mask that is sulfate free
This is half true. It depends on the products you use. So if you use products with ingredients that cannot be removed with sulfate-free shampoo (silicones, grease, heavy waxes) then yes you need sulfate shampoo. Otherwise sulfate-free is fine and technically better for hair health.
yeah you have to clarify your hair or the excess product will mess up your curl definition and cause frizz. i learned this the hard way. you’ll think your hair is damaged but in reality it’s dirty. and not literally dirty because you’re cowashing but that little bit of residue makes a big difference.
Honestly, it must be really annoying having soooooo many people giving you so much advice. But I hope you know that most of them do it out of care for you. Sister code ya know? So please don't take them to heart. Cgm is hella hard to understand and can be quite expensive. Still haven't found my routine yet. So I'm kind of excited to see your progress as well. Great video as always! :)
I see so many girls tirelessly trying to force a curl transformation with however many products, physical manipulation of the hair (scrunching, pin curling, buns, rod curlers, etc etc) trying to achieve a tighter curl when the natural state of their hair is a loose texture. Sometimes acceptance, less stress over it and just focus on the rest of the life with a holistic view will allow you to be content, wavy hair is not equal to failed curls it is just wavy hair, it is what its supposed to be
I don’t think she’s trying to make her hair curlier. I think she’s just figuring out what works for her waves - making them more uniform, less frizzy, less weighed down, etc. It’s exactly what I’m trying to do myself. Everyone uses products and techniques, regardless of their curl pattern!
Terra Graham I made the generalised point because throughout the video she comments on whether her hair is curlier or if it’s gone loose, at the end again she mentions “has it gotten curlier” and says it goes straight if she hasn’t been scrunching it. I was just saying that so many girls physically try to manipulate their hair when often times it looks better in it’s natural state, there’s no reason for her to dislike or feel disheartened when her curls don’t form because she looks fine as she is
REDCVSTLE Thank you!!! Ive been saying this for years, they just don’t understand and I feel bad for them because they have unrealistic expectations for themselvesz
I love that you’re so involved in your hair care. As a wavy/curly girl I had NO idea what I was doing and neither did my mum, so you go girl!! I would strongly recommend finger curling. It really helped me and is still helping me find my curl pattern. It just trains the hair to curl especially after not knowing what to do with it. Just give it a try after washing on wet/damp hair. Give it a try, good luck. Keep going, you’re doing so well! ❤️❤️
Hi Isabella, I don't know if you've ever heard this before, but from my experience, your mood can really affect your hair. For me, when I have been in a bad mood, my hair will be more frizzy with static. Don't know if you have thought about this, but maybe tracking your mood along with your hair would be interesting. :)
when you first start the CG method your hair wil be going through a transitional phase -some good hair days, a lot of bad hair days- despite using the same technique. you may wanna try more powerful styling methods like curl formers, flexi rods, finger coiling. scrunching would give pretty depressing results at the transitional phase.
@@hellokittysjuicebox906 You basically take small sections of your hair when it's still wet and twist it around your finger and it helps with curl definition and keeping frizz minimal
Really important I've found with my hair is unless its sopping wet DONT SCRUNCH IT. Just when I get out of the shower i scrunch it when its properly wet and add my stylers and then scrunch it dry using a cotton tshirt then I have to leave it otherwise it just makes my hair frizzy. Ps love you babes and very excited to get more vids during lockdown xxx
I've noticed that we both have similar hair texture and I recommend to get some layers. It helped my waves be more defined and it also gave me some volume. Another thing is use a clarifying shampoo to get rid of any product build up but only do it once a month
IR3M : Thank you for saying that like I thought the same, she needs to let her hair relax. She is using those products everyday and she is washing her hair to much which can cause your hair to be more dry and frizzy.
Would really love to see monthly updates on this! By all means though, it shouldn't need to be this thorough - I feel like regular updates like this one would be very tedious to keep up with. That being said; really excited to see the nest hair video! You're doing great Isabella!!!

I've been actively avoiding the curly girl hair method 😅 My hair was straight but is slowly moving toward being wavy and I have no idea what to do with it I've tried crunching without gel but it makes a frizzy mess which confuses me but when I leave it to air dry some parts get wavier than others and just *ugh*
i totally get you, transitioning hair is difficult but in my experience it just takes time to adjust, so any new hair care methods need around a month to see any changes x
omg me too, my hair has always been super straight, but lately I get this waves in the front of my head and I don't know where they came from, it has also been super frizzy and my hair has never been frizzy
@@guadalupetorres the same happened to me!!! I'm asian and my hair used to be really straight and shiny, but from 13-14 my hair was really wavy on the front and a mix of straight and wavy on the back with a little bit of frizz. You are too harsh on yourself, i think your hair looks perfectly fine most of the time. I understand the struggle of it not looking how you want, though

Bad hair days get me SO down (which is a lot) and I love how open and honest you are about how it makes you feel and well done for persevering! Keep it up xx
Have you tried “plopping”, you do what you’ve been doing but you leave it wet, lay out a shirt, lean over it and plop your hair straight into the shirt. And tie up the shirt. Not a all the familiar with this, never used it, just saw it in a video and thought I would share
Relax, don't demand from your hair to be perfect and when you're not out, try to do some french braids to avoid frizz and to stay confy. Sending you love, you are very nice and don't worry about them too much, they are cute !

I highly recommend watching swavy curly Courtney She’s a godsend for wavy girls and explains the confusing part of cgm When I have family members with waves I always recommend her! Also who cares if your call them curls it’s not that deep!
I’ve been trying the curly girl method too lately. And funny enough, the days that I was too lazy, I just wet brush my hair straight and left it the rest of the day and the curls that form those days have been the best!!
Agree! I always brush my hair when I get out of the shower because otherwise it gets knotted and I can’t part it correctly. And I still find that the waves come anyway 🤷🏼♀️ though now that we’re on quarantine and I have nowhere to go, maybe I’ll see what happens if I just leave it and don’t brush it... I think it would be knotty and messy though.
I have been trying the curly girl method after I noticed I was losing my curls. Something that I noticed works for me is lots of moisture! My hair doesn't like gel it likes a leave in conditioner cream that reduces the frizz and defines my curls. ( I use lush products, specifically R&B leave in conditioner and curly wurly shampoo, they have lots of organic products that use coconut oil and other ingredients that focus on adding hydration to the hair. ) One big thing that really has helped my hair has been protein hair masks and hydration hair masks. You should look into them. Both have helped my curls come together more and have less frizz. Good luck. There are lots different strategies and everyone's hair is different. Play around and have fun.
girl! at the end it looked gorgeous! with the new bangs, your curls finally getting their shape, and your gorgeous face it looked absolutely stunning! i hope it just gets better from here, good luck!
I learned recently that MY hair acts differently depending on the weather (not saying this is the case for everyone). On rainy or really humid days I use products with heaps of humectants in like aloe vera, marshmallow root extract, or glycerin. On days when it is sunny and dry or quite windy (or when I have the heater on) I stay away from humectants because it sucks the moisture from my hair and makes it dry, knotty, and brittle. I also make sure to seal my hair with a nice oil on those days once it has fully dried. I usually use castor oil (cold-pressed) or sometimes argan oil. My hair doesn't like coconut oil because the protein makes it too stiff (she's a delicate flower lol).
A thing about curly hair: because we use so many products, you also need to clarify more often. I clarify every 3 washes, sometimes 4 if I'm feeling lucky. So maybe try clarifying more often!!
Hey, I have really curly hair. One thing I almost never do is brush my hair, because it resets the curl pattern, for me, very easily. I only brush my hair... Maybe once every 2 or 2 1/2 months. You may want to try a light cream instead of a gel, because the more you touch your hair, the more you take out the curl. I have your same hair texture, I noticed your hair looked a bit dry on the days it was more straight. Gel doesn't hydrate your hair as much as a light cream. Hydrated curls are the best curls. When I used gel, I always felt the my hair looked frizzier and didn't feel as healthy. Try a hair mask every 2-3 months. I hope any of this helps. :)
Shelley Buth exactly! I have almost the same hair as her and I never brush my hair because it takes the curls away, just detangle it in the shower. Also I think you should try to get a moisturizing cream for curly hair, it’ll make the difference. Good luck! :)
I brush my hair when I’m in the shower, and when I put it up. Makes it super fizzy and undefined but as soon as I wash it my hair goes back to its normal curl pattern. Brushing is fine when your hair is wet, and dry if you don’t plan on wearing it down.
I hope no one gets offended by this but I feel like she doesn't have wavy/curly hair. CGM is meant for any who already has wavy or curly hair already. It can help style and change the texture when she uses gel and mouse and whatever product but if she stops all her hair goes back to exactly the way it was. Just like she said in the video if she stops scrunching her hair goes back to the way it was. I have wavy hair but if I stop CGM my hair is still wavy when it dries and without anything. I'm only saying this for those who have straight hair like her and want to try this. You will have to keep going at it to get wavy hair.
@@BrioaZ she has a very loose wave pattern, but I think her hair was so damaged previously that she had no idea what her hair actually was. She is probably only doing this to add dimension. But if she is trying this hard for curls, she obviously doesn't have curly hair.
I have wavy hair. When I wash and style, I get ringlets. But the next day, my hair seems to get stiff and frizzy. But I tried an experiment where I didn’t use a styler (just a leave in) and WOW! It wouldn’t have worked this well before I started the cg method over two months ago. My hair isn’t that curly. But it has waves. And it’s sooooo soft. There is frizz, but it voluminous and I like it. Even more surprisingly, my hair still looks nice on day 2. And I didn’t even sleep over silk during the night!
I've been doing me braids to sleep for a year, and my hair is so better. I had always hated the frizz of my hair but by doing that, it disappeared and also gives me the curles I have when I wash it almost like the first day
I know you’re using a specific shampoo that you’ve gotten into a routine of using but, clarifying shampoo or a clarifying method can help clear up a lot of the build up you’re feeling and it can be used a couple times a week 💕 but be careful not to over do it as it can dry out your hair 🙁
When I was younger (4-12 years old) I used to do a middle part in my hair and constantly comb it and it always turned out frizzy and bumpy and looked weird. I am now 15 and I found out that I have naturally curly hair at around 13 years old. It happened by one day I let my hair air dry after coming out of the shower and I had the best curls EVERR. I am now using a microfiber towel which I just got one maybe a month ago and it really helped to not frizz my hair. I do comb my hair after I shower, but immediately while my hair is still dripping wet. Then I take the microfiber towel and scrunch it afterwards. Obviously every persons hair is different, but I don't use any product in my hair unless I'm going to see anybody or a nicer event. That will help your curls even more if you use product I just found it makes my hair really really oily and don't always use it. I also tried a side part a couple years ago which also helped my hair. I don't ever really comb it in a side part thought I just kinda let it fall there after it dries. I would recommend flipping your head around while the hair is still wet to get it loose and even more curly. I don't know if this will help you or not, but I do have instagram if you want to DM me if you have any questions. Or I can send pictures of my hair if that will help.
Heres something that works for me while my hair is wet: Section ur hair into 2 sections Then twist each of the sections And after that put them into a low bun each!! And when its dry completely u can remove the buns and u will have nice curls Btw my hair is tall and it still works And one more thing, its hard for ur hair to dry while its in the buns so if u remove ur buns while its a bit wet its fine u’ll still have nice curls
IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU! Also, dont let anyone tell you waves arent considered curls. They have different requirements but they’re still textured hair and I can’t believe people are making such a big deal out of this. Your last clips looked BOMB! As a lazy wavy/loose curl person, the thing that helped me the most was sleeping in a bonet. Thats it. It changed my hair for the better. Best of luck, I admire your perseverance! Stay safe during these times!
I recomend hover drying your hair (or something like i forgot how its called )its basically where you lay your diffuser on a table or chair so it blows your way and you gently hold your hair with a tshirt or towl (slowly going up and down like you where going to scrunch it but without scrunching so it doesnt give you frizz) and it just makes my hair look more curly , i recomend looking up videos to see how to properly do it ♥️ btw your hair looked beautifull♥️
i’ve never related to something as much as this video man i’ve spent all of quarantine trying to figure out a routine for my hair (which kinda looks like yours) and it comes out different every time AAAA
My hair was like “transitioning” it used to be stick straight but now it’s wavy and at first my hair was frizzy and wack but after a few months like everyday I love how my waves look just make sure when you wash your hair brush the under part so it doesn’t get like super knotted
Find what works for you girl! You don't have to follow every single rule exactly! My hair is very fine, you seemed to have a lot of the struggled I had. The stringy problem is fixed for me by brushing my hair before I refresh it! I know a lot of people can't brush their hair dry, but for me, if I don't brush my hair it will get insanely knotty! Also, I use only foaming shampoos mostly. My hair is too fine for a lot of heavy creamy based products, it weighs my curls down and they become waves. Experiement with the entire process untill you find your unique routine! ❤
My hair is so oily, so I can get away with clarifying once every two weeks with a normal shampoo, as long as the rest of my routine is the same. I saw another girl’s video and she said it took her a few months before she had consistent great hair days. It’s a process. I’m currently one month into the curly girl method and my hair is doing alright, but for others it may take longer.
YESSSS been waiting for an update! the curls suit you so so well, I'm genuinely jealous. and the colour, don't get me started. growing mine from a bob and taking a lot of advice from your channel, thank you so much for all the effort you put into these.
i just started binging your videos and i can’t believe i got here now that you just posted!! your videos are so in depth and genuinely help loads of people so thank you!💕💕
Also your hair is looking so pretty now. I love how the waves/curls look around your face. I'm going through a similar hair journey and one thing that has helped so much (but is a little annoying to wear daily) is sleeping in a silk turban. I use the ones from Silke London because they don't require any tying and they're super easy to clean and travel with. Basically you get shinier hair bc the Silk conditions while you sleep and no kinks from hair ties.
Girl you are absolutely beautiful. I love your hair, the colour, its naturalness, let it be, embrace it. Since yours first video I saw, your hair has improved so much... It looks healthy, very healthy and shiny. Your hair has its own soul and you should give it its freedom to be it. Continue on the journey, keep giving it love and care. I love the cut as well, you have mentioned cutting layers, i think you should not do it. It is amazing the way it is.
I leave this comment for any other fellow wavy person. If you want to follow the CGM, I do not recommend washing your hair with conditioner, it weights your hair down and for most wavy people, it makes it greasy and makes the build up grow pretty quickly. Washing with sulfate free shampoo is the way to go. I wash my hair every third day (one day wash, one day not), and I use a shampoo with sulfates at least once a month, or every time my scalp feels too greasy. But I try not to use sulfates too often because they dry out my hair. Of course, after washing it I use a conditioner with protein in it since my hair is porous and needs it. It makes a big change. But if your hair isn't porous try to avoid protein as it can make hair stiff (even if I use too much protein, it makes my hair stiff and it starts to be super weird). For styling, what works best for me is gel. Gel is amazing for me. I use a very cheap gel and I have no problems with it. Once in a while I use a leave in cream to add some moisture, but I don't use it daily because it starts to build up and weights down my hair. For dry ends I sometimes use some coconut oil, but just a tiny amount, and I use the one used to cook, not one of those that are sold liquid mixed with lots of unnecessary bs. Sorry for the long ass comment. Taking care of curly/wavy hair is a journey and you never stop learning something new. Besides, the health of your scalp can change a lot, so the way it needs to be washed will change too.
Who's experimenting alongside her🖐🏽 just realized coconut oil dries tf out of my hair and I've been using it for years so I'm switching to olive oil ✨💇🏽
Me too :’) Just realized it yesterday from a comment on one of Isabella’s other hair videos. I always thought my hair was dry as hell and lacked protein, so I would put so much coconut oil on it. Turns out that’s more of a protein treatment, and I probably have too much protein now. I’m shook. I still have like half of a giant tub of coconut oil lol
Try Shea Moisture! They have a blue container for “dry and brittle hair” it’s a mask that you leave in and rinse out, for my hair normally I wash it the night before then in the morning put in the mask then rinse it out, it seems like a lot of washing but I promise the results are 10/10!
I'm sort of new to all of this hair care stuff and was wondering what hairstyle you normally wear to bed with it in, or just in general? I read about braids but my hair isn't long enough to stay in a braid without the front coming out completely. I want my hair to have the least damage as possible but I don't know how to go about doing that. Thanks for the tip even though you were directing towards Isabella! : D
Mint Wolfiee Personally I just put my hair in a bun, but if you say your hair isn’t long enough for a braid all I can really think of is either down (you will most likely end up with very bad bed head but I think combing it through with water can help...) Or french braid your hair...or a loose pony tail like Isabella suggested...
Mint Wolfiee and I highly recommend Shea Moisture! They completely transformed my curls and my hair has looked healthier than ever, hope you enjoy it! :D
All right so I’ve been doing the curly girl method for 4 years and I have a few simple suggestions for your hair. 1) I think Putting your hair up in a ponytail at night with a cotton pillowcase is creating a bunch of that frizz from friction. Get yourself a cheap satin pillowcase from amazon and put your hair up in a pineapple bun on top of your head. It may seem stupid but it makes a difference. 2) I think that you might need a different haircut with more layers based off of how your hair reacted with just cutting the bangs and how much better it was. I think that it’ll lighten your hair and really help your waves to wave 3) Clarifying your hair would help a lot with getting all that leftover grime on your hair out. Just wash your hair once a month with a Sulfate shampoo for me my hair just started to feel better after I started doing that
that's so insane how curly your natural hair is and how you tried to live a lie as a straight-haired person. please continue this for as long as you can to update us! it just looks beautiful
my hair is in the start of transitioning from straight to curly, but I also have a lot of bleach and heat damage on the ends so only about 3 inches of the roots and my grown-out fringe are going wavy and the rest is dull and straight and frizzy :(( but my natural hair is very similar to yours so these videos are great to watch thanks for making them and I'm excited for the next update!!!
Here are some tips from a 2abc hair person: while diffusing, shut it off, then put the bigger section you can from your hair into it, then wait a little bit til its warm, shut it off and take it off(repeat this until its dry). I recommend just using a light cream and a light gel to scrunch your hair, and spread it well on your hair before diffusing, so the sections will be more defined. That's it. And just keep doing what works best to you, maybe some of the rules from the cgm just dont work for you, and you might change them to get better results. Don't forget to treat your hair when you wash it, maybe with oil, moisturizing it etc.
i’m asian and when i was little my hair was pin straight, but as i grew older i noticed whenever i air dry my hair and don’t brush it (my hairs long i hate brushing my hair), it has waves. definitely going to be more consistent with this routine
PLEASE can you try and review “miss Jessie’s pillow soft curls” I have really similar hair to you and I would LOVE to know if it works xxx also maybe try function of beauty as it’s customised hair products xxxxxx
Claudia I have a similar hair texture and it made my hair a bit crunchy although maybe that’s because I used too much🤷♀️ but I do use miss Jessie’s multicultural curls and it works amazing for my hair
It is refreshing to find an English curly hair TH-camr. A lot of the American ones I can’t get the products or can only get for high prices from Amazon. So it’s nice to see a video with products I recognise or know are often on deals in Boots
A lot of people already commented about the products probably being to heavy for your hair, which probably causes a lot of the stringiness. I discovered that for my hair when I spritz and crunch, it helps to sprits, then clump by clump separate the biggest strings by gently splitting them in the middle, starting at the roots, and then crunch. I hope it helps for you too! Loved the video, very informative and thorough!

I have natural spiral curls and fine textured hair, layers help take the weight off that weighs the curls down and turns them into frizz.
I agree
K T for me it‘s the exact other way around, when they grow out the curls weigh down but not when they‘re freshly cut it gives you volume and lets the curls look sooo beautiful i love it
Wait are you saying that layers give more volume or that straight cuts give more volume? I didn't understand the way you worded it
Patchy Rye layers give more volume

@@IsabellaDemarko Hey, just stopping by to say I have natural ringlets but after a couple days no brush (I wash once a week and aim to condition 3 times a week, brush only on those days in the shower) it goes straight as heck and frizzy too. You're not alone!!
@@IsabellaDemarko keep doing what you doing I were you the one who did bratz vids
@@IsabellaDemarko Thanks! Just wanted to share my own experience. You're doing great so far, your hair looks beautiful! :)
Some by co-washing, other's not. keep trying things out and figure out what works for you :)
totally! x

When I wash my hair it is wavy at the ends, but the net day it’s more straight, but not really straight
The before and after wicked girl! So much healthier and shinier. Looks beaut babe. 🧡🧡🧡
Instead of the products you might be using here are my suggestions:
Instead of heavy creams I'd use lighter creams, try the Not Your Mother's Combing Cream (I use the Tahitian Gardenia one).
Some tips for the actual washing/drying part of your hair routine:
Shampoo only the roots, and condition only the bottoms/middle (but avoid your scalp).
Karina Tanis what shampoo and conditioner do you use?
Karina Tanis this is incredibly helpful! I have a combination of 1c,2a,2b fine hair and these tips will be fun to try.
@@karinatanis8601 Thank you for sharing! I'll look into those :)
@@livarnold492 yes theyll take a moment to start waving properly and looking nice and how you want them xx
Kate Lyons literally they can be so dramatic
Lol some days my hair is straight with really slight waves, some days my hair is wavy (2c-3a), and some it is very curly (3c-4a). What heck am I supposed to call my hair then? 😂
Lmao I’ve got Afro hair but in some areas it’s literally just waves 😂 I only use heat once every one or two years so that’s not the reason either 😂
Ridiculously true ! 🥺
Kate Lyons it’s annoying when you google curly hair styles and just just wavy haired people.
Natural girls do not wear their curly hair everyday.... We also do protective style... And i think wearing a satin bonet will help more than the high pony
Jaycelyn tay Exactly. If I let my hair be curly everyday it would be a mess.
Jaycelyn tay what is a natural girl,
Aylam Cheyne tbh the term is kind of in debate.
Best thing I've purchased.
ybell1294 yes a satin bonnet really helps keep my waves happy while i sleep. i recently got one and i am loving it so much!
Can I just say- even beyond hair- you are absolutely gorgeous.
bless you thank you x
3. I scrunch my hair with a tshirt or a microphyber towel after styling it and then I plop it (if you dont know what it is, please search it, I think it will help you a lot)
If I were you I wouldn't use a leave in, it might weight your hair down, just look for a cream that says it will define your hair
I hope I helped someone, this took me a long time to figure out but please remember that everyone's hair is different and just because it worked for me doesn't mean it will work for you
Omg thank youuu!!! I really needed this tips, you're literally an angel💗💗

The look of your hair has improved drastically already, and this is just the beginning!!
Try Manes by Mel
I prefer her because she follows some steps of CGM, but not all.
They say not to brush your hair while dry, and my issue is that I myself CAN'T do that. I do have pretty wavy and curly hair, but I also have 3.5 feet of it. Lol you try brushing all that with just a wide tooth comb and getting those tiny hair knots out haha it's impossible
Like i mean who the heck says I'm gonna be waving my waves. Curling my curls just sounds natural😂
exactly! haha
Thank you
Isabella Demarko you should start using a demon brush to help define your curls

@@markeliupson943 I think you meant Denman
I'm so confused I've always thought I had straight, frizzy, and deceptively thick hair but when wet my hair looks like your wet hair. If I let it dry and don't brush it, it has a really nice wave. Should I be using the curly girl method?
hh it sounds like I have the same type of hair as you, I’m starting the curly girl method soon, if you think it will be good, go for it. Just research first :)
Yes give it a shot, but don't be afraid to clarify your hair once a month. Doing that and being careful not to use too heavy of products eliminates the buildup issues that cgm can cause sometimes
yess i know i’m late but pls do it your hair sounds like mine and mines curly when i take care of it
I have crazy curly hair, I never did any of these tips till March last year and wow!!
Yesss you should do that!!
I have been trying to avoid silicones since last year and I'm curious to know if it's a better option in the long run.
ra ha sorry ik this wasn't towards me but not all silicones are bad so its okay to use them just watch out for the bad ones!
If you’re still having trouble with the microfibre cloth, may I suggest using a cotton T-shirt
instead as that will soak up more water.
She said in reply to another comment in her last CGM video that T-shirts didn't work that well for her either.
i don't like using t-shitrs. x
@@IsabellaDemarko I use a car wash towel. lol its microfiber but meant to absorb alot more water so they are generally thicker. aka better at drying it faster. random but it works lol
Amie Bryson - Yessss I ALWAYS do this. Love it.
@@IsabellaDemarko you can try plopping with your towel! it worked wonders for me!
It makes your hair a lot frizzier if you start of from the ends and it will disturb your curl pattern.
so I've heard, thanks! x
Oh wow I did not know that. I have 3c curls and in the past I hated diffusing because it always frizzes up my curls but now I see why lol 😂 🤦🏽♀️
@@IsabellaDemarko also, you should hover over your hair and when a gel cast forms then u diffuse
“Looks like she would benefit from a layered cut to keep from weighing down her waves” I say, pretending like I know literally anything about anything
You haven't seen MY hair!" I mean, people deal with different problems in different ways, there's no need to turn everything into a competition 😅
Anyway, your hair looks so much better after you try out this method! I hope it will keep getting healthier and cuter with all the care you put into it!
curly...wavy...nuances. Like tiny and little
Curls mean a lot of different things as there are many curl types, so calling your hair curly could mean the loosest curl type. It’s not incorrect.
Rafi rafee I'm ur biggest fan gurl ur amazing
...but she's using this method to change her pattern when it's meant to define and moisturise hair that is actually curly lol
I love how she puts the add in the middle of the video in a way that seems like she's just talking about what she did the day before, smooth

I mean, your hair is curly. Waves are a type of curl pattern.
Fat Cow yeah i've always used "curly" as a blanket term for any type of textured hair 🤷♀️
Yep. So many people feel the need to gatekeep the term curly. Makes no sense to me
T
My hair is wavy ,and I really want(love)curls
Also your profile name 😅😂
I feel like waves and curls are two different categories. I feel like this: Straight, waves , curls , kinks, and coils. And of course type four hair and lower 3 hair can have a mixture of the last three.
I always saw curls as containing spirals, ringlets, or loops. Waves and curls look distinctly different and including waves in the curl category makes it wayyy too big a category.
I freakin love how she calls out the haters 😂

I don't think that saying that her hair is wavy and not curly is hating tho lol
@@garnetBUNNIES wavy is a curl pattern, and it gets to be a bit much when you keep getting comments like "your hair isn't even curly" when you're just trying to figure out what to with it since it's not straight
Garnet Bunnies It is for people who get so heated about people with wavy hair trying curly hair methods to make their hair look nicer. I don’t know why people make everything so damn personal.
Garnet Bunnies shut up
I have curly hair.
I love how both straight and curly hair suit you. Can't relate.

dead r0sez but it’s a curly pattern. is what they all mean.
I usually use a conditioner and hair mask that is sulfate free
gianna fulton my hair is not curly, rather wavy, and I dont use sulfate shampoo at all.
Sometimes acceptance, less stress over it and just focus on the rest of the life with a holistic view will allow you to be content, wavy hair is not equal to failed curls it is just wavy hair, it is what its supposed to be
1:19
I don’t think she’s trying to make her hair curlier. I think she’s just figuring out what works for her waves - making them more uniform, less frizzy, less weighed down, etc. It’s exactly what I’m trying to do myself. Everyone uses products and techniques, regardless of their curl pattern!
MissMooks I watched the video.. if you notice I said “I see girls..” because it’s a general point
yes it definately does!!
I noticed this too! especially when I'm nervous before an event it gets all puffy and weird
Both of those things can also be affected by changing hormones. So I wonder if that might be why? I dunno.
Meridian Luv I think so too also explains why hair patterns are changing during lifetime
when you first start the CG method your hair wil be going through a transitional phase -some good hair days, a lot of bad hair days- despite using the same technique.
you may wanna try more powerful styling methods like curl formers, flexi rods, finger coiling.
scrunching would give pretty depressing results at the transitional phase.
Whats finguer coiling?
@@hellokittysjuicebox906 You basically take small sections of your hair when it's still wet and twist it around your finger and it helps with curl definition and keeping frizz minimal
Really important I've found with my hair is unless its sopping wet DONT SCRUNCH IT. Just when I get out of the shower i scrunch it when its properly wet and add my stylers and then scrunch it dry using a cotton tshirt then I have to leave it otherwise it just makes my hair frizzy. Ps love you babes and very excited to get more vids during lockdown xxx
thank you x
Sophia Blank ahhh that makes so much sense! I was wondering why my hair was so much frizzier when I scrunched more. Thanks for clearing it up🤍
I've noticed that we both have similar hair texture and I recommend to get some layers. It helped my waves be more defined and it also gave me some volume. Another thing is use a clarifying shampoo to get rid of any product build up but only do it once a month
i just think her hair is overwhelmed with all these products she uses and all these methods. just let ur hair relax a little
IR3M / honestly
IR3M : Thank you for saying that like I thought the same, she needs to let her hair relax. She is using those products everyday and she is washing her hair to much which can cause your hair to be more dry and frizzy.

I’ll brush it straight in the shower with conditioner and as I wash out the conditioner I scrunch it a little
Love how real this is. I’ve been off and on doing the curly girl method for about a year and a half and the frustration is REAL!
I have been trying the curly girl method after I noticed I was losing my curls.
Something that I noticed works for me is lots of moisture! My hair doesn't like gel it likes a leave in conditioner cream that reduces the frizz and defines my curls. ( I use lush products, specifically R&B leave in conditioner and curly wurly shampoo, they have lots of organic products that use coconut oil and other ingredients that focus on adding hydration to the hair. )
One big thing that really has helped my hair has been protein hair masks and hydration hair masks. You should look into them. Both have helped my curls come together more and have less frizz.
Good luck. There are lots different strategies and everyone's hair is different. Play around and have fun.
lush is not a canadian brand

I do the same thing 👍
girl! at the end it looked gorgeous! with the new bangs, your curls finally getting their shape, and your gorgeous face it looked absolutely stunning! i hope it just gets better from here, good luck!
Which product? :)
What's your instagram?
Heres something that works for me while my hair is wet:
Section ur hair into 2 sections
Then twist each of the sections
And after that put them into a low bun each!!
And when its dry completely u can remove the buns and u will have nice curls
Btw my hair is tall and it still works
And one more thing, its hard for ur hair to dry while its in the buns so if u remove ur buns while its a bit wet its fine u’ll still have nice curls
You should try plopping, makes much less frizz and holds the curls/ waves much much better
When did the frizz go away? I just started and while I like my curly hair frizz is enormous as well!
Yes how do I get my hair to not frizz 😭
YESSSS been waiting for an update! the curls suit you so so well, I'm genuinely jealous. and the colour, don't get me started.
growing mine from a bob and taking a lot of advice from your channel, thank you so much for all the effort you put into these.
good luck with your hair! xx
@@IsabellaDemarko aaah thank you hair senpai!
Can men use the curly girl method ... just planning for the future of no hair cuts
Of course they can! Why shouldn't they?
absolutely! infact there's a section in the curly girl handbook for men's hair! x
@@dianas7429 it's not that hard to imagine when they gave it such a stupid name as curly GIRL method when it's just about hair.
@@blobblibblab girls normally have curly hair tho
Garnet Bunnies if girls can have curly hair it only makes sense that boys can have it too
i just started binging your videos and i can’t believe i got here now that you just posted!! your videos are so in depth and genuinely help loads of people so thank you!💕💕
I’ve never met anyone that has the same issue as meee we have literally the same hair although slightly different textures
Girllll! Do not wash ur hair when u see buildup. Rinsing ur hair with vinegar once a month works really good for removing buildup💛
"It's dried really weird'' is me after most wash days ._.
Me at my 90 degree bangs
Idk how, but I feel like I’m always near/close when you post! Edit: Usually I’m never awake around this time but today I just happen to be!
She said 7/30 days were good. I don’t get bad hair days, bad hair is an everyday thing with curly hair.
I Y I heard macademia and argan oil are better. but coconut is definetly a no-no
Me too :’) Just realized it yesterday from a comment on one of Isabella’s other hair videos.
@@mialara153 Thank you! : D
I think that it’ll lighten your hair and really help your waves to wave
3) Clarifying your hair would help a lot with getting all that leftover grime on your hair out. Just wash your hair once a month with a Sulfate shampoo for me my hair just started to feel better after I started doing that
that's so insane how curly your natural hair is and how you tried to live a lie as a straight-haired person. please continue this for as long as you can to update us! it just looks beautiful
I’ve been waiting so long for it 👏🏻❤️
my hair is in the start of transitioning from straight to curly, but I also have a lot of bleach and heat damage on the ends so only about 3 inches of the roots and my grown-out fringe are going wavy and the rest is dull and straight and frizzy :(( but my natural hair is very similar to yours so these videos are great to watch thanks for making them and I'm excited for the next update!!!
YES FINALLY
Been waiting for this vid for what felt like months haha
I can't get over how well your videos are made!!!! Well done!!
Bruh she reminds me of Alyssa from ‘The End of the F***ing World’ ♡︎♥︎
i’m asian and when i was little my hair was pin straight, but as i grew older i noticed whenever i air dry my hair and don’t brush it (my hairs long i hate brushing my hair), it has waves. definitely going to be more consistent with this routine
I do believe you are to hard on yourself. You had many cute hair days. Do you think more layers would take the weight off and allow for more curls?
