Hands down the best gunpla Bandai has released since the Sazabi ver. Ka. The engineering and ease of building really makes this RG stand out.
The RG Zeong also is amazing, definitely one of my top 10 gunpla kits alongside Sazabi Ver. Ka

I built mine along with the hyper mega launcher about a week ago and am waiting for it's HWS to arrive to fully finish it. It's such a beautiful kit.
I wanna get one of the two they have listed, I'm not sure which on though
@@kaiserstorm886 I went with the HWS that has the sub arms for the two beam sabers. It would go nicely with the Nightingale since it also has sub arms.
@@mikegrady1682 yeah that's what I'm thinking, I like the other one because of the gray and white instead of just white, but it's just got a bit too much going on...aside from the giant seam on the gun
The chinese bootleg hws is ugly though from all the photos I could find.

Gun! Dam! No matter how many times I see this kit on videos, it's a beauty and a half.
Found that the Fin Funnels on mine tended to pop off, especially the two inside ones closest to the middle. Ended up gluing those in and displaying the rest using effect parts. Still one of the best kits that I've built of course, though my favorite is probably still the RG Sazabi or MG Dynames.

This was actually an improvement on the Nu gundam inner frame for the ff:
1. front and side skirt - although the Nu gundam has this feature too but sadly it was too limited
2. Toe bend

Built mine last month. Was a really smooth build, awesome engineering and articulation throughout the whole kit. I greatly enjoyed the kit and posability after. I decided to paint over the injection gold with a gold gundam marker, makes it a bit more easier on the eyes imo

If you have built the MG Nu Gundam Ver Ka, then you can use the Fin Funnel display stands that come with that kit to display the Fin Funnels of this kit. They’re 100% compatible

I was at my Hobbytown USA to day. I saw it and grabbed it. No second thoughts just grabbed it and can't wait to build it.

So far so good, not had any issues with looseness but have a general idea how to fix it. I did get my preorder from Usags, and built it a few days after arriving.

I really, really want the RG treatment for the MG(1/100) models. I got a few of the RG kits, but I like bigger size models.... damn I have 6 PG and the Dendrobium just cause.....it's big. B-day present is going to be the Unleashed kit.
My Hi Nu RG is still sitting in my closet, unopened. Looking at how every single TH-camrs has talked about hot thoroughly they enjoyed the build, I’m hesitant to start myself lest it’s over too soon…. I wish you could take apart builds to reexperience the joy of building them again…
in any case it is still in your backlog, i have a tips: be careful with the backpack, it is prone to stressing (the wing binder that has flappy articulation, and the C clip on the fuel tank)... that is universally a problem with the kit, unless if you have some neat tricks in snapfitting.
sanding the color seperated part on the fin funnel is also mandatory to get a good fitting.
otherwise it was a great build, spending weekend to finish the whole panel-lining and decal was quite good, just don't rush it, and admire the mechanical detail.
for me, i LOVE this design more than Ver Ka and Metalbuild, this is like they pick the original novel design, and buff it up, and the beam rifle is basically the most beautiful RG gundam weaponry right now in my opinion
what's funny is that the RG Hi-Nu might not be even 1/144 scale as it is almost has the same height as the RG Nu as in fiction the Hi-Nu is meant to be shorter in height than the regular Nu.

As late as this review may be, I still eagerly awaited for this considering that it's still relevant to me as I haven't been lucky enough to get my hands on one of these still. Always appreciate how dense with info and relevant details your reviews are, not filled with excessive hyperbole and padded with irrelevant nonsense.
Seeing this now just further solidifies my desire to get this kit. Really regretting not preordering the moment this was announced, considering it's pretty much expected to be as good as it is now.

I do prefer the purple color scheme from the ver ka, but there's no beating the RG's version of the fin funnels. Never liked the fading gradient look for the ver ka. When I finally git gud enough at scribing to attempt it, I'm gonna add the RG's panel lines to the ver ka's funnels and paint em up in purple.

when i take off the head off and flip up the the rear boom it looks like an eldar spirit robot thing.
i wish they can upscale this to 1/100 version, this might be great to see in 1/100

I am yet to build this one and the HMBL since I'm going to commission a glass case first and find effect parts for the funnels, then metal replacement parts, then a custom stand, then a diorama, then..... anyway this is my favorite of all time with my favorite MS to boot. Too bad Bandai already ruined Freedom in the RG line, I quite liked that one too but no way I am getting it.

The only thing that really bugs me about this is the gigantic Katoki-style fuel tanks. The manga version and lineart of the fuel tanks are much more like the high grade and the original master grade. It just seems silly that it can't stand up due to how much the gunpla designers oversized these areas to make it more stylized.

How big is this compared to an MG? I know that the HI, Hi Nu and Sazabi is bigger than the most of the RGs.

Suggestion: in this video, I see that you struggled to open the different parts due to there being no grip. Why not keep a part separator nearby handy to help open the gimmicks?
True~ usually a knife is handy but didn’t have one nearby at the time I guess

Hey new to to Gundam I know that hg are very small and perfect grade are big, but what’s the difference between master grade and real grade?
MG are 1/100 scale (larger, average 18cm tall) and RG are 1/144 scale (same as HG)

One minor thing that i notice after building this kit was some of the funnels tend to randomly opens a little bit when it been put on the backpack ( we can see it on the outer left fin funnel in 4:55 ) but overall this kit is fantastic
My funnels do that and also they like to fall off very easily. Also my torso had sag immediately with the backpack. Those are the main disappointments I had

God, since the releasing of rg tallgeese, scale wasn't a thing with this line anymore. None of these kits come close to the 1/144 scale. That upset me alot, very disappoint :((
RG Crossbone is in accurate though.... anyway, if you really need that scale accuracy, you can always go for the HG Hi Nu (kinda old).
and scale inaccuracy isn't only happen in RG, check HG Barbatos Lupus for example, or Strike Freedom... both are taller than their 1/144 scale, but it really doesn't make it a dissapointing kit, it is still really cool and give more shelf presence.
Bottom line is: why would you choose to be dissapointed by an actual good kit? Bandai certainly has its reason to came with the model... and for me, it is actually fine (I'd be rather dissapointed by color correcting stickers rather than scale)
@@nickochioneantony9288 It's a model after all. It job is to replicate orther things. So for me scale is the most important. If not, why started with scale at first.
@@inhhuytran5055 well, if you really have that fixed point of view of a model kit, then i suggest you to get the old release... because a "model" in the context of Bandai is flexible and always in transitory (just look at the changes of Freedom Gundam, both the MG and the ver GCP) they are not replicating it scale to scale with the anime, but it is not bad per se, and still perfectly upholding the name of 'Freedom Gundam', or check any other HG 'revive' kit, they all appears to be taller than their predecessor.
@@nickochioneantony9288 It because bandai it not the only company that making model. Different company do real life machine like car, train, jet, ... all having model. And bandai do it too. Take a look at bandai star wars kits. Their have a very high level of detail that accurate to their scale, compare to the gunpla line.
Late here as well. Just applying waterslides to mine as I type this. Not literally, I mean, I'm talented and all but... I thoroughly enjoyed this build other than Bandai's puzzling choice of injected gold. I still say they should stick with the Hyaku Shiki 2.0 gold across the board.

Never liked the purple color scheme of the Hi-Nu, always reminds me of the American version of the SNES, very ugly imo.
For me, I love blue and white color combination, alongside red and black. Thus, I also prefer blue and white colors for the Hi-Nu.
