There's always a probability the oncoming RG's Nu-2 Hi-Nu's going to be a hand grenade/IED.
Imagine surviving a heart attack just to be blasted to a pulp by an exploding gunpla.

I have the RG Nu Gundam and it's one of the best RG I ever own, on par with the RG Sazabi.
I am also a masochistic b@stard. Built the RG Zeta, RX-78-2,Exia and Sinanju. Building it hurts me but it feels so good.

I’d love to see you tackle that MG Zeta 2.0 in your “backlog burn-through” soon. It was my first master grade kit and I love it despite some of its flaws. Plus it has a killer transformation and awesome unique display base. Love the videos, keep up the good work.
It cant stand properly. But hey..its zeta..its meant to be aerial all tha time lol..for me the only downpoint is hyper mega launcher

I absolutely adore the Hi Nu, particularly Izubuchi's original lineart version. Just looks so much more monstrous and unrefined than the Nu. Awe inspiring and very menacing.

This kit feels like it would have been Gundarium tier back then.
Fr, the kit itself plus that shield are almost 100% colour accurate. It's crazy.

Yeah I really enjoyed building and detailing up the Build Fighters Hi-Nu vRave based on this old kit.
I change out the sky blue for Violet (which appears halfway between blue and purple), swapped the gunmetal frame to bronze and added more aluminium/silver to match the promo art.
It now hovers majestically over my work desk.
Hi Nu VRave is probably one of my favorite for Gundam Build series. A shame they didn't upgrade the hip joint. It still awesome
I would absolutely have asked for this! It's so great. I'm a Hi Nu guy through and through -- can't wait for the RG -- and I've always been interested in this HG, and the Vrabe.
This kit has been sitting in my backlog for a while as well. I'm glad to see it still mostly holds up, especially since I hope to pick up the HG Nightingale when it comes out.
I got the GPB version of this kit (basically the same kit but with a color scheme similar to the Nu Gundam). Aside from being back heavy and having only a pair of working fin funnels, it's a pretty nice kit for its age.
Is that an official bandai kit? I was gonna do this with the hi nu ver ka
@@HYBRIDZHQ it is. It's from the same line as the Beginning Gundam kit from that Gunpla Builders OVA. It's hard to find, but looks good in the standard Nu colors.

I actually just built the master grade version of this kit recently! Absolutely love it.
I have the MG Ver. Ka. version and i just love how it has a presence in my shelf!
This was my first kit, about 10 years ago. I now have so many kits that I cant fit them all... My backlog is massive too. I totally recommend it, it's pretty advanced for it's age and sure was the gateway drug to the hobby.
My only gripe with this kit is that ONLY 2 OF THE FUNNELS ARE FUNCTIONAL
The HGUC Nu Gundam, which came out several years prior, has 6 fully functional fin funnels.
Probably they lazy to design connection between funnel and the wing unit.
This is my fave MS in the Gundam Breaker games too. Very useful to have the backpack funnels
I actually have Ver.Ka High-Nu GUNDAM! It took me DAYS!! This little one looks more “aerodynamic” compared to the BULKY one Ver.Ka! I may try to get the RG in the future, once it comes out. LOVE THAT BLUE THOUGH!!
I've built this multiple times. I've straight built it, I've Kit bashed it with the Zeta before they made the Scramble Gundam (If you've seen the Hot Scramble you know why this makes sense), I've also built the VRABE which I'm still convinced is supposed to be the Hi-Nu BRAVE. This kit is so much fun and I look forward to the Real Grade.
Looking back at this, hg sinanju stein does borrow a lot of joints style from this kit and hg sinanju

This is crazy good looking for an old HG. Hell, even a new one. Maybe I'm biased because this is the only feddie suit I like enough to have a kit of.
Eeyyyyyy! I got this kit; and used the black parts from Model Suit Gunpla Builders Beginning G to give that classic Nu Gundam coloring and gave him his Nu Gundam shield. Can't wait for the RG Hi-Nu!

So many people have massive Gunpla backlogs and it's mainly caused by wanting to go the extra mile with them. I just build my kits the moment they come through the door. The only time they're kept waiting is if multiple kits arrive around the same time, such as if i buy multiple kits together.
My largest ever backlog was when i'd received a large sum of money and had used it to buy several Master Grades and the last four Real Grades that were out at the time. (Unicorn, Banshee, Johnny's Zaku & Tallgeese)
there's also the Build Fighters variants who's backpacks could turn into a bird-like unit when separated.
Hi Nu Vrabe. And I prefer Vrabe over standard Hi Nu due to more accessories. The wings are also better looking than standard Hi Nu.

Built the MG(non ver ka) one a while ago, had fun building it. thinking of picking up the RG
One thing that I never see mentioned is the posable funnel can fit into any of the other positions on the wings, meaning that if you have three of this kit, all six funnels can be deployed.

Well you can try to cement the ball joint or covee it with super glue to tighten it a lil bit
I prefer the simpler hg builds over the rg builds. Will be getting this one day
I can't ignore the Mecha Gaikotsu Skeleton's V-fin since it appears to come from a Real Grade Astray , but back to the kit in this review. If the Hg Hi Nu is that good then the Rg is something I'm looking forward to.

With the HG Hi Nu Gundam and the already realeased HG Nightingale in place, this is the defining moment to settle their differences between long time rivals, Amuro Ray and Char Aznable since the One Year War. Well, anyway, MSG: CC- Beltorchika's Children novel is actually a different take from MSG: Char's Counterattack anime film.
Honestly this is a perfectly eolid kit and one of the best ones i've ever built.
I recently discovered cleaning slime marketed for car vents and keyboards is perfect for dusting detailed and delicate models.
The problem i had with this kit after a while was that waist joint. It became really weak and brittle. One day I decided I was gonna go back and detail it up and the ball on the waist joint just broke. Now I have to get another one just to replace it. Once those legs are on. Its best to just leave them alone.
I didn’t know this was a redesign of the Hi-Nu Gundam. I do want the RG but seeing the MG Ver. Ka of the Hi-Nu I definitely would love that on my shelf more.

This is my absolute favorite gundam and my favorite design of this gundam.
I like the hi my vrabe from build fighters, I did a lot bash mixing the old and new parts, plus it's got big swords in place of the propellent tanks

I have this kit and it looks great for an HG. But sadly the limited neck and hips mean it looks best just standing there as supposed to any type of dynamic action pose. I'll be getting the RG for sure but I kinda wish its proportions were closer to this HG.
I got the HGUC Nu Gundam and Sazabi, now I'm thinking about the Hi Nu.

I'm doing a kit bash between 2 HG Hi-Nu kits, and a Hi-Nu Vrabe so I can have six functional fin funnels for display.
Just got back from watching CCA last night. I also have a G-Frame of the nice-looking suit.
I’d swap out the fuel tanks for a twin drive system. Hmm might have to get this to customize now.
I'm hyped for the rg. Also please sir please do a review of the hg nightgale when it is released.

You reviewed the Hi-Nu vRabe in the past, missed opportunity to do a comparison. Perhaps one day you can score the old MC Model Hi Nu Gundoom, it had a ridiculous double-sided beam sword and even wings of light effects.
I think it’s gone now since he did a collection video a while back where he grades them 1 by 1 and the Hi Nu Vrabe is not in there.

I just windowshopped some gunplas like hours ago and i keep seeing some old hg kits like sword impulse gundam and god gundam. I want them but they look like bad kits like raider or something.

I just wish they didnt cheap out on the funnels since they gave us all 6 functioning ones for the regular nu and hws hgs
The only reason I didnt snag this up is because the v-finn feels a tad small compared to what you see on 'more' modern HG kits like the HGUC RX78 revive it was compared to
the blue piece on the v fin actually got some minor details. it got the Hi Nu's model number etched on it. (not really major, but it's surprising. since it's the first kit I ever seen having that kind of detail)
Of all the Mecha's our there, gundams have the very best faces hands down!!
