At the very start when he said who his favorite Dragons were...I shook my head sideways. I think they should keep quiet just in case they get a different dragon and they see it later. But Jack hit the lottery with his 2 favorites. I was happy to see the others weren't disrespected. I'm gonna do a Google search now and see if I can buy some.

No questions beyond the most perfunctory when it comes to “the numbers”, and nothing on who else owns the brand, who makes/extracts the sweetener, the “green” credentials of growing water melons under plastic and/or in warm locations in order to extract the stuff. 🤷

I have gone Touker and Tej, 10% each, 75 grand each, and open up two separate channels. That seems the way forward. Double your investment give away twice the equity, but send it down two separate channel simultaneously. Double the chance of success.

This was maybe the best pitch ever on the Den or the Tank. It’s not necessarily the best business, but it’s certainly one of the best if not THE BEST business plan and well thought out future. This is exactly what the Dragons want and you could tell by their enthusiasm. Even Sara who went out was still excited.
Also their was no crying or feel sorry for yourself bs here.

The business is already profitable without a dragon with very healthy profit margins ' Tej will place the sweets very quickly into international placements and peter will accompany the production expansion ' it's a no brainer

He had great numbers, but it just goes to show you, Dragons invest in an entrepreneur first and not just the business. The fact that he was humble, friendly and good-looking too, made him instantly likeable to all the Dragons

He sold shares in a growth company with at least some inventory and other assets for less than 2.5x earnings. The Dragons got a great deal. Nyber paid a lot in equity for the black book and other assistance, but it may have been worth it. Additional investment will be beneficial down the line, Dragons or otherwise.

Im also questioning the "zero calorie" claim. Normally that means "low amount of calories - Per serving".. I'd want to go do more research if i was a dragon. The only thing I know of that's actually zero calories is water.
Zero calorie claim meaning you gonna eat this crap but you'll still need calorific value ie. energy to function eh? Energy from somewhere else. So you'll be craving other foods sooner. Which defeats the whole purpose because you'll end up eating more. Not too bright is it? But that's what happens when people take their advice not from nutritionists but manufacturers, marketers and (sic) "experts" like the eu or the who (LOL)

Anyone know how this went after filming? Did the deal go through? If so is it known how well things grew? Really wanted things to go from strength to strength for the guy. I’m no use at finding the right info when I google stuff like that and find the documents on company-related websites absolutely useless and not revealing.

Wish the titles didn’t give away the outcome of the pitch. A Dragons Den video should be like unwrapping a Christmas present, you shouldn’t know what you’re going to be getting until the very end.

Being diabetic I’ve just gone on his website to have a look at this product with regards to purchasing some. But at £9.49 per kilo, that’s way over the top of what sugar would cost. I’m not paying that unfortunately. I tend not to eat sugar anyway due to the diabetes and I thought oh maybe I can start having it again, but I’m not paying 600% of what a bag of sugar would cost for this. However I wish him all the best because it’s a very good product. Just a bit rude on the pricing.

I accidentally ate an entire pint of ice cream that used erythritol instead of sugar, and it turns out people with IBS cannot digest that compound. I had extreme gas pains for literally 2 days.

I would say poor negotiation on the founder He didnt negotiate down the equity despite all dragons except sara gave offer. He is already making hefty net profit , he could have negotiated down equity after they get their money within 24 months which is quite prudent.
What happened to this product/brand?
At no point does he say why he needs the money or what it will be used for.
He claims high turnover, thus has the capital for investment.
US shark tank is the best. Others need some more energy, enthusiasm. They feel boring.
