I think they look gorgeous. The metal green three hander is my favourite out of the three. The different case backs at least explain the slight difference in thickness. 🤷🏻♂️
Right?! The green is so great! I need to see these in person! 😱 and you know, I had the same thought about the thickness! But the lug to lug is still a mystery
a shame the new P.O. 600m all have date window at 3 o'clock. That window could easily fit at 4:30 and not break dial symmetry. Watch looks absolutely beautiful. Lost opportunity.
The gunmetal grey looks great but I know that whenever I go into a shop for a watch with a different dial colour I walk out with a blue dial. That’s what happened when I bought my blue dial 39.5mm PO 3 years ago. I’m glad I did both because it looks great and because I avoided some of the more recent price rises. I wear it as my rufty-tufty watch but as I’m neither rough nor tough at the moment it’s not getting much wrist time.
I saw the Chronograph in person at my AD. They are beautiful watches. You did forget one very big difference on these new POs. They are all fully brushed stainless steel. I love them.
Fantastic video, so quick and beautifully edited. Although the price is ‘not cheap at all’ it’s still a great value for the watch. 😎 But yes, the Omega prices will increase some more …
Ι have a gen 3 PO chrono and i really love it. I have big wrists so it looks ok, but i dlove it even more if the size, particularally the thickness, was smaller. I do have to say though than in my experience, the PO chrono, in not a very reliable watch and not as tough as omega would like you to think.
PlanetOcean are just such amazing value for money in what they offer. I still prefer the older colour ways, but these newer ones nid towards a dressier feel. Great vid
Liking the grey time-only. The first new Omega for a while that's a bit less bling. Nice. I like the idea of the brushed case, but fully brushed cases can look heavy and the PO is a solid chunk anyway. PO43 wears really well, but could be thinner. Quite like the stealth launch of these, but the price rises are huge - I paid £5k for a white dial/orange bezel in '21 and sold it for the same in '23. That said, PO is a quality watch - apart from the cheapo bezel ratchet, it's an immaculately finished diver. But they won't sell many at £7k - everyone buys SMPs...
Just a note about watch prices: it’s not only that watches are becoming more expensive, it is also that the currency is worth less. A $1.59 can of soup from only 3 years ago costs $5.49 today. Watches are not immune to inflation.
As a previous owner of a skydweller and and an owner of the Apollo 8. The skydweller is 42 mm. The Apollo 8 is 44.5 and wears much smaller and nicer. Dt pre-judge the watch before u try it.
Walked into my boutique on Bahnhofstrasse, Zürich on Saturday and surprised the assistant with the request to see the gunmetal grey PO (non-chrono). It appears even the boutique had not been informed. Nevertheless I am on their list to be called when it finally drops into their hands. I said no more watches this year but I instantly fell for that watch.
I'm glad I grabbed a grey market Aqua Terra now or I'd probably never be able to have an Omega. At least I have one in my collection 🙏🏻 Can't believe how high things have gone.
Ahhh I love this! I agree I think they look FANTASTIC! Like you, I’d love to see the bracelet especially because the is one of the few omega bracelets that I freaking love!
Hey Britt, nice video again! TBH I already feel a bit disappointed in Omegas moves. Seems like they are either not ready with the significant updates we all want for the SMP 300 / Planet Ocean or their strategy is totally different than we think… I really hope to see SMO 300 with no date, fully lumed bezel, better bracelet (same for Planet Ocean) … who knows what the future will bring us. Cheers!
I looked on the omega website the other day and my watch which is the omega seamaster 44mm in blue and yellow gold went from £14.900 to £18.300 but now has gone back to the old price just wondering if anyone else noticed this? like they did it to soon or something?
Omega is taking a page from car manufacturers-raising msrp’s so that you can get a small discount and feel good. Not much to see here so a soft release was the way to go.😎
Why does Omega not add a seahorse medallion on the sapphire case back of seamasters as they did on the globemaster with an observatoire medallion? Why is the omega pricing so bad and random ? For the globemaster on the grey market you divide the retail price by 2. Everyone also says that the Aqua Terra shades is way overpriced… 11000€ for the NTTD SMP: I mean come on… Why can Tudor have a metas certification and still has a good pricing? Where are the SMP and the 300 midsize? Where is the SMP bracelet update? Where are the micro adjustments on the Aqua terra butterfly clasp? Where are the classic heritage seamaster models that are not limited edition with only 1948 units? And why were the 1948 models so chunky, so thick ? Omega is my favorite brand, but they need to change a lot of things to match the competition and the European-American demand. I guess they are just happy selling constellation in Asia …
Good video as always, but the NAIAD lock is pronounced Nye (like Bill Nye from TV) Add, like adding something. I laughed out loud at the value finder comment too btw. 😅
Thanks for the review, Britt. Yes, this a nice watch. Question is, if you have ~$6,500 would you spend it on an Omega Planet Ocean or go for something else; like a Tudor or Bremont and save a little money?
Take a look at the Seamaster under the Heritage models. Scroll all the way to the bottom. You will find new 1948 three handers in steel and platinum. They just put them there and made no mention of them as well.

Fuck I love the color. The moment I saw those picture on somewhere else, before they reveal the watch, I thought that was fanmade shit. And, yes they are even bigger than its appearance. I'm 178 cm and for 105kg, 43.5 PO fits me well always, but under one condition: NO FORMAL SHIRTS.
I bought an omega seamaster 300m blue bezel grey dial… I don’t think I’d like anything much bigger. I sort of wished omega did a GMT in the omega 300m seamaster.
I have the 50th anniversary GMT. I've been waiting for years for another slim GMT from them. Maybe a good idea would be for them to make a dressy GMT instead that way they don't get compared to the Rolex which I think is the unbeatable king. No need for another second place trophy.
@@miabeatz80 I agree Rolex is pretty awesome, I have a Rolex submariner that I’ve had for about 6 years. However after having it for that long I was seeking out something different to wear on occasion and the seamaster 300 doesn’t really copy Rolex in any real way. The bracelet is different, the extendable clasp is different, the date position is different, the movement is different, the exhibition caseback is different, and the unique dial and bezel is different, I don’t think there is a whole lot to compare it to. That’s why I ended up getting it, it is very distinctively something different to me. A lot of dive watches are black bezel, black dial, white markers and some variation of the oyster bracelet. I’m a machine technician, I repair automated equipment, so a tool watch is all that really works when wrenching on things, I wouldn’t want to put something too fragile on my wrist, so I’m sure a lot of folks like dress watches but I would really like it if they had a GMT in a similar case and bracelet configuration to the seamaster 300m. I hope that makes sense.

Love the Planet Ocean! You were right about galvanic, wrong about being an idiot, and missed that Naiad is a word... it's a Greek water nymph. You say it something like nay-ad. Just in case you're interested. 🤷🏻 Love the channel. 😎
Naiad isn't an acronym or initialism, so you don't pronounce it N-A-I-A-D, and in the UK it's normally pronounced as NIGH-ad / Ny-ad. A Naiad is the mythological nymph of flowing water, and another nod to Ancient Greek mythology like the hippocampus also used by Omega. (meanwhile you were right the first time on "galvanic", it is pronounced gal-VAN-ick)
I think it’s unfortunate that there are boutique only watches. I went to an Omega dealer to look at these watches, not realizing they were boutique only.
As much as I don't like the price increases, the Speedmaster is still cheaper than the following chronographs: Breitling Navitimer, Zenith Chronomaster, IWC Pilot Chronograph, and of course the Rolex Daytona. Even the TAG Monaco is only slightly cheaper than the Speedmaster.
BAHAHA you HAVE just bought an omega and yours is still the right choice over these. 😝 The 39.5mm PO is definitely on my “to buy” list! One of these days!
Personally I'm not super in love. When I saw the thumbnail picture without reading the title I thought the video was about the Seiko SRPG13. They look very similar and to be honest I just love the Seamaster 300, 300M, and Speedy too much to get one of these.
I have an older planet ocean and I would upgrade but I don’t like the font on the numbers on the newer models, am I the only one who likes the 2500 style font?
I think Omega is delusional with its current pricing. I recently owned a ceramic GSOTM with clasp. Retail is $13.6K. Grey is $9K. Trade in within the first year is around $6K. In other words, the market has clearly spoken, and it's a watch worth somewhere around $8-9K at best. Yet walk into a boutique, and they will feed you a line of BS about how they 'don't discount.' Also, I don't understand why Omega keep putting out SO many references. If they cut the SKUs in HALF they would still have an insane number of choices. I think many Omega watches have a serious issue with thickness. They still have a ton of references they have not bothered to make Master Chronometers (including my GSOTM). I'd much rather see fewer offerings, thinner and all Masters, as opposed to 57 color variants of everything they make.
Seeing "it's bigger than you think" in the title made me genuinely curious if it was just an exciting release or if Omega actually made a larger and thicker PO because that'd be a very omega thing to do Edit: lol just got to the part where it actually is a hair thicker and longer
Completely unrelated…Despite hearing about a 7% price increase for PP watches, US price increases are only a few hundred dollars per model. Not bad. Rolex held US prices flat, too.
Sad part is you can't buy the models you want retail so slow price increase means zero when you pay grey price or they force you to buy earrings and DJ to get on a list* 😢
Man, the planet ocean is starting to steal me over from the speedmaster and seamaster pro. Im a value finder too😅 but good lord, them watch inflation prices are just getting out of hand…. Ooooooof!
Try Watchpapi with the beige😂 Its a light brown innit? Also i'm developing a twitch whenever I see a dive watch with a clear caseback. That would have saved a few mm and no, yer fancy rotor is not repeat not, a wonderous garden of artisanal finishing, put it away Grandad. These things were xpensive spuds before thay got bigger......🥔 and spendier.....
Oh no! This is much too not-brown for watch papi! 😝 only rose gold and straight up brown for him! Hahaha. But you know, I feel exactly the same about display casebacks! I feel like it’s a divisive thing really! Some people love it… but for me… unless we are going for an all out decorated movement - give me a closed caseback , but a nice one!
At last Omega gives us a comprehensive non gadget watch...as a hard core fan of the brand, I am happy to see a bit of a common sense and non flashy release. Then omega has to stop with the prices increase. The game is over, second hand watches prices start to correct very seriously and an omega has never ever been a watch for invest. So fir me a very good new release...
Omega have lost the plot recently. Celebrating a 75th anniversary with new colours and a price premium on top of price hikes. One of these new PO should be called orthopaedic beige or hearing aid brown. The tiny case size bump could even be a case of “hey rolex made their lugs .00043mm slimmer so we should look into this”. While I’m moaning, I was all excited about trying on the summer blues when they were released in the summer. They arrived mid January in my AD so I’m not feeling that summery. The final straw was the rocket hand on the speedy. They’re fast approaching products advertised in Sunday magazines (with a signed certificate of authenticity from the artist, purchase before the end of the month for a free fake leather display plinth). At their current price point I’m heading towards zenith. I can lift them with one hand for starters.
I've considered looking at zenith myself but don't like the bracelets or five o'clock date 🤮. I would rather pay the higher prices for JLC or just stick with Omega. Most Omega designs have stayed relevant and competitive even though some details could be considered corny.... At least no bubbles or emojis 😂
Omega prices are stupid plus I won’t buy anything with that Helium wart on it. Sad that outside of the Speedmaster line, Omega hasn’t made a release in years that I’m actually tempted to buy.
Omega pricing is so odd. Just doesn’t seem to be any logic just like the aqua terra price just doesn’t make sense when compared to others. Plus this thing is so thick, no thanks.
My opinion? Omega prices are now insane... but it seems it works well for them...

These prices are insane. I'm getting another Casio. 😊
My man!
Wow, 16mm 😅 plus thanks for the interesting video
This is the new Flavor Flav king size Planet Ocean for guys with a 6 inch wrist.
I think I'd still prefer a sneaky ~$4K AT
I can’t argue with this! Me too :)
Is NAIAD an acronym? I always assumed it was a reference to the mythological Greek water spirits?
Nope. It’s just Naiad in capital letters as all text on the case back is uppercase. It is the water nymph
Surprise Gringa Tuesday 🔥
Oh yes, these are nice…. But I just bought an omega… 😬
Will have to wait a while for my next watch 🙂
Cheers Britt 🤩
BAHAHA you HAVE just bought an omega and yours is still the right choice over these. 😝
The 39.5mm PO is definitely on my “to buy” list! One of these days!
@@BrittPearceWatches haha, you are nuts…. Answering comments at midnight…. But we love you for that 😍
And yes, my speedy is… king 😀
Cheers Britt 🤩
Personally I'm not super in love. When I saw the thumbnail picture without reading the title I thought the video was about the Seiko SRPG13. They look very similar and to be honest I just love the Seamaster 300, 300M, and Speedy too much to get one of these.
I love that gun metal/taupe one. Unfortunately, I’m too poor for Omega these days.
I will stick with the grey ceramic model around the Skyfall time.
Ouuu so good! 😻
Yet walk into a boutique, and they will feed you a line of BS about how they 'don't discount.'
Also, I don't understand why Omega keep putting out SO many references.
Seeing "it's bigger than you think" in the title made me genuinely curious if it was just an exciting release or if Omega actually made a larger and thicker PO because that'd be a very omega thing to do
Edit: lol just got to the part where it actually is a hair thicker and longer
The world is crazy right now! Overpriced obscenities sell out in seconds.
43.5 is lunacy.
Lacking in extremity girth by any chance?
Mine fits fine 🙂
🤣 you’ve opened a can of worms here!
These are boutique models, so they will hardly get any discount. In one year, they will be 30%-40% cheaper in the pre-owned market.
When will Omega finally make a trip to the pharmacy for some wart remover?
🤣🤣 as much as I agree - I don’t think it will ever happen!
Yes, inflation on watches is crazy.
Omega killing it lately but the sizing is getting out of hand
Excellent size for men.
Flashback to 2012, no date sub was $7500 aud, and planet ocean $8300 aud. People bash on omegas price hikes but they are just late to the party.
They look great. Just slightly too large and like the seamaster if not for the helium escape valve I would love them.
Right?! I feel exactly the same! But the 39.5mm is juuuuust right 😻
I was really hoping that these would be thinner 😢
Those look great
Man, the planet ocean is starting to steal me over from the speedmaster and seamaster pro.
@@BrittPearceWatches innit.?
I sold mine last year and I think I did wrong…even if it was to finance a Snoopy
At least no bubbles or emojis 😂
ow · MEH · guh = value priced or as Britt say, "bang for the buck". ow · MEE· guh = price increase.
Love that new green PO... but WHY did Omega make the PO case thicker vs thinner?!?!? ARgh!!
💀💀💀it is a THICK BOI!
Galvi what...are you talking aboot?
Bahaha! Honestly, IGNORE ME. You'd think English isn't my first language haha
🤣🤣 I agree completely! I can’t wrap my head around their pricing structure!
