I have to say guys, I’m having a load of fun in the new set with these videos. I really hope you enjoy the more relaxed vibe. I think my aim is going to be to have a little more fun with this channel! 🙌
They also have a 38mm green Aqua Terra on their website (with the plank display face) which is listed as new, but I can’t see any videos on TH-cam about it.
I am not sure when it changed, but the Planet Ocean models in this video are now available online and at ADs. I got the gray one a few days ago. I absolutely love it. It is a big, thick watch, but the matte finish is so nice and understated. Love the texture on the rubber strap too. My AD had the beige one, too. It did really grab me like the gun metal color did. I don’t know the exchange rate from pounds to dollars, but from what I fave been able to tell the price came down a little when they became more widely available ($7100). Not cheap by any stretch but I think it was $7500 when it was boutique only.
" Both beat at a frequency of 28800 vph". Incorrect mate, Only the Chronograph does, The standard model with the calibre 8900 beats at 25,200 vph (just like your white Diver 300m)
Harrison. You have definitely made this section of the TH-cam market your own. I love your background, and how it 100% tributes certain other TH-camrs. And how you say the same thing , exactly as other TH-camrs have just said. But you do reduce things to the most basic level, that even the most simple watcher can understand. Keep it up.
I have many Omega’s. Almost all are more or less vintage or older than current editions, except my orange bezel, white dial Planet Ocean. I have a 1969 Speedmaster pre-moon Pro. I will buy more Omegas as I love their look, their movements, and compared to Rolex, the fact that you can actually BUY THEM. Rolex does nothing but play games with their availability. I also own a new’ish Tudor, again you can buy it vs. having to play games with a dealer. Omega = beautiful watches, that are a cross between a tool watch and jewelry, but that is available.
The Boutique in my area is very friendly and helpful as well as concerned with getting the customer what best fits the customers desires. so, I would have to say this tactic keeps the buyer who wants that special experience alive for the brand. The Boutique experience makes you feel as you're getting your worth and your time and money matters. You're absolutely correct about seeing the watch in person on wrist versus online in photos. the photos don't do justice to the true beauty of the watch in person.
This seems like just another way for Omega to raise prices. These are priced the same as other PO's that come on bracelets and $400 more than their sibling PO's on straps. There is nothing about these new colors that suggests more cost to produce over the prior colors. I think they look good but will be poor sellers and flood the grey market in a year for 30% less
Having three Omegas, two of them first generation Planet Oceans, I needed to have a look at the green one. They only had the chronograph but it looks stunning with its brushed stainless steel dial and the matte green bezel.
Agree on the watch experience changing. Used to love going in to a boutique or AD and having a chat and trying on a watch. Very rare to get that true experience these days. Now it’s just pushy sales and people that don’t know a lot about watches.
I had a lovely hour in the Breitling boutique in Edinburgh two days ago charting to a chap called Jack about watches. Not just breitlings either so there still are some out there!
@@CaptainRambunctious I’ll need to check that out next time I’m through 👌🏻 Agree there are still some. I had a great experience in Tudor in Glasgow a few months back. No pushy sales and genuinely happy to talk watches. Just getting harder to find now with online sales and the ADs pushing for sales in store. Had a few awful experiences recently.
agree with your thoughts but some things to add: Breitling did the same thing with silver and champagne dialed premiers - the pistachio got a massive push but the more 'sellable' traditional dials just appeared. I quizzed local marketing team on the plan and was told they'd rather produce and sell less BUT have few escapes to the grey market and/or discounting than make a big splash, have to send stock to lots of ADs and risk having lots of unsold inventory. Of course some watches get pushed hard, they are the Judas Goats, leading buyers to the brands websites and boutiques but that will be an increasingly narrow selection of the catalog.
Nice release. I see no ceramic dial, naiad lock for the see-through caseback, matte look for the bezel with etched or laserblasted scales, no polished bevel on the side of the case. Looks much more tooly! Me likey…😍
Tudor BB GMT with Opaline dial on my left wrist and Garmin Epix 2 on the right as I'm cycling on my trainer while Zwifting and watching Harrison on TH-cam. Double wristing while I multitask.
At those prices and only available with a rubber strap it seems like a not-so-subtle prelude for hiking the prices of all the others in the very near future. It's Omega so of course they will...
It’s all well and good wanting people to get the boutique experience but when you live in a city that’s a 4hour flight from the nearest boutique it sucks.
The trouble is in my experience the staff in Omega boutiques (Glasgow and Trafford centre) are totally clueless. For example when I asked to try on the hesalite speedy in Glasgow the lady looked at me like I had two heads and brought out the sapphire sandwich 😂
The pricing is way too high for an omega, yes they are fantastic watches but not at that price point and we all know if you go into the boutique you have 10% off Just for walking in the door before negotiating a further discount so why not price realistically and the price is the price like the big boys do and no discount

I'm just glad you having fun in making video again and recover from last year gracefully
Fun is sustainable, it is the most important thing

Wrist check…Omega AT small seconds in blue…great review and waiting for my pre-loved CK to arrive 😊. Great review again, as always…

Just like every Omega watch?
@@ozzy1154 boutique only - never coming to the grey market.
Omega is one of my favorite brands. I'm currently wearing my Casio Royale. Just finished my work-out.

@@chrisgray4785 I think it just depends on the individual you talk to. I agree, the chaps in Tudor in Glasgow are great…
Wrist check- my favorite I own. Omega Seamaster Aquaterra 41mm in the blue grey dial with the blue grey rubber strap

They need to release the gunmetal one in the 39.5 size
Wearing my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm ceramic on a black leather strap.

Omega pricing is wild... they really want to compete with rolex not tudor
Wrist Check - I’m wearing an Oris Propilot Okavango. I might wear Aquaterra tomorrow after watching this.

The colors are great big fan of the dials and the matte finishes. They just need to release them in a smaller size
These color shades are beautiful.
It's the lumen on the sand the whole bezel lights up it's insane
I have a boutique close by my house and two ADs as well. You can negotiate with the ADs. In contrast, boutiques have a very small margin to negotiate.
Today I’m wearing aTimex Marlin that I received as a gift from my wife not an expensive watch, but a classic
Wrist check. Helm Vanuatu Titanium

The green ones are really great, but there is no way I pay so much money for a PO. And I love POs…
Wearing my 44mm Longines Hydroconquest and looking at those Omegas..... dammit, they look like the little Hydroconquest cousin with plain color dials.
I was hoping that Omega would release the white dial Speedy😒
If only there was a boutique within a reasonable distance...
Amazing ❤️
I think it's a mistake if they don't release these in the 39.5 size too.
for the girls?
@@planetocean
For any person with a smaller wrist.
I got an email from Omega about this release. They've also posted about it on social media. How is that a secret?
Omega should release a PO 600m, 39.5 or 40mm and no date.
The chrono is 19mm thick!! What!?
WOW, a new colour. What an inspiring innovation from the amazing..........
Wait, that's not Rolex, whoops.
Beige has a lumed bezel which is the reason for the price difference
I'm not feeling the Omega vide currently. I want to but it's not happening for me.
Today I am wearing a white dialed Sinn 104.
We need a new generation of the Planet Ocean with 42mm and 14mm thickness
For what? And who is „we?“ It‘s just you…
Where do the get there ideas 😂
Seiko Prospex Land "Tortoise" SRPG13K1
Those muted colors look rather dull. I’m more a fan of bold.
Omega wants to show you can go into their store and actually buy a watch as opposed to being put on a fake waitlist
Can you get a Speedy Anniversary in any store? 🤔
Just avoiding discounts for new models by boutique only
Why the garmin since 3 videos 😭
Ridiculous prices

looks like my longines hydroconquest lol
Close omega just too big. When are the going to learn
Omega lume the effin numerals
Typical omega, wearing 300m 75th anniversary
How thick?😂
Total BS that my AD can’t get these.
this tool watch jargon is so much drivel. it has a purpose does it?
Hmm nope 👎
all omega watches are really UGLY so so so bad
Why you don’t disclosure is a paid advertisement
Stop mispronouncing the brand please
#nkuwan 's watch really surprises me!
Omg just get on with it, this guys loves the sound of his own voice 🤮😴🥱
