    AWESOME JOB! Very thorough and complete. I especially like that you went through a second time - that really helped things to stick. Kind of a trip seeing your setup - i tried to come up with an ideal portable setup about 5 years ago, but never had a plan that I was satisfied with in terms of functionality and price .Looking at your video - this is it! Exciting to see how it comes together, and to hear that it really works

    Not sure why your video channel does not have thousands of subscribers. You are deserving of millions!
    I am planning to buy 3 of these cameras for my church set up. One question if you could answer, Can these cameras allow for flipping the image for ceiling mounting in the AViPAS software.
    I am planning to run our stream through our ATEM Mini and don't want to use any other software , like OBS in the line. I was hoping that the AViPAS could do the flipping within its software? I saw your answer to another previous comment on this but I was not too clear when you said that the AViPAS cameras could work upside down if you were including another software like OBS? Thanks for your help.
    Blessing on you and yours
    John

    @TinenTech ปีที่แล้ว

    Thank you. The AViPAS manuals have all the tech data, but they don't provide a "how to".
    BTW, if someone forgets their password, the fix is to do a factory reset and do all these steps from scratch. I think you can set the IP address of most cameras by bringing up its image on a screen, pressing MENU on the infrared remote, and setting it there, if you don't have a laptop connected to your Ethernet switch. But the way you did it is better.

      @@trenillo hey. Thanks for the reply. When I put my Ethernet on static IP, the camera works as it should but my internet won’t go to certain websites that I need one being Facebook. When I switch it back to automatic, I get the websites back but I lose the camera. And #2, is it possible to control the angles (presets) in vmix. I want to have multiple angles with one of the cameras but I don’t see the AVIPAS on the list of cameras you can control. If that’s not an option, how can I go about getting multiple angle for my production. I have two AVIPAS cameras, a C200, and two iPhones in my production. I use the xkeys to switch between cameras. It I can’t figure out how two set a few angles per AVIPAS cameras. FYI, I don’t have the AVIPAS controller. Hope this all makes sense.

      Yes I can do a video for OBS and using the camera via ethernet. Though I personally don't like doing this because of the delay in the video doing it by ethernet. You need to change your camera and controller over to the IP of your internet. Meaning, if your internet IP is 192.168.43.1 for example your camera and controller need to be on the same IP except for the last digits. The .1 is for your internet, .10 could be your controller, .20 could be your camera one and .30 could be your camera two.
      You need to find out what's your internet router IP and go from there.

    Need help! The controller of my church’s AVIPAS cameras stopped working! I don’t know what sharpened. I didn’t change any settings. Not even the “use DHCP” setting on the Ethernet. Right now I can’t access the controller nor the cameras via up in the web browser.
    The controller keep saying “network broken!”

    • @trenillo
      @trenillo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you can't access the controller or the cameras, then they're not the problem. It sounds like it's the ethernet hub or router that's the issue. You might want to check that. 🤔

    • @michellejohnson4088
      @michellejohnson4088 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@trenillo I believe the Ethernet switch is working. I plugged the video switcher into it and the slot I plugged it in shows that there is power being supplied. We don’t have our internet router plugged into the switcher at all. The person who installed the camera system might have done so during setup, but did not keep the router plugged into it.

    • @trenillo
      @trenillo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can connect it up to the internet, but you need to make sure that you change the cameras and controller's IP address to match that of your router. I use one of these cameras on my local system at home for my personal Webcam and it works fine. 🙂

    Hello great video by the way. I actually got my first contract to setup a live stream studio for a client. Since these cameras do not have ndi. How are you adding it to obs with only a Ethernet cable?
    Is this through web browser capture option in obs?
    Or URL capture.
    I want to add it to obs without having to crop it.

    • @trenillo
      @trenillo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm bringing my video through the SDI to HDMI converter into my Blackmagic Mini Pro. But you can also bring the video into OBS, via ethernet url address, but the delay was to much for me so I didn't go that route. But yes if you have the ability to go NDI then most definitely go that way. Much simpler setup.

    Do I need to set a static if I'm setting it up on a permanent Mac. It's not moving. Setting up for my church.

    • @trenillo
      @trenillo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have one connected to my PC for my permanent Webcam and yes it's still setup as a static address but instead of the default 192.168.5.163, my home router third digit is 0. So you need to make sure that your camera's IP address first three digits are the same as your router, then set the forth digit to its own number. If you setup the camera to obtain a automatic IP address it could change everytime you turn the camera on. It's not a guarantee that it will be the same ip everytime.

To see all the functions of the camera I would suggest using a web browser to log in. From what it sounds like the focus of your camera maybe off a little.

    IPv4
    Every device that is part of the internet has an address. A unique identifying number so all the other devices can find it. The address is in the range between 0.0.0.0 and (255.255.255.255) (there are no numbers higher than 255 in these addresses). The addresses that start with 192.168 are reserved for private networks that won't ever connect to the internet.
    I know what you're saying. But my computer's address starts with that, and that is connected to the internet.
    Sort of.
    It isn't really though.
    _Your modem is connected to the internet_ and your computer is on a private network created by your modem (or more likely, you're router, which might be built into your modem if you are using the one from your isp (internet provider).
    So you're private _intranet_ (internal network) in your home uses the 192.168 suffex to every device. And so does everyone else's, because they aren't technically _on the internet,_ they're being "hidden" behind your modem.
    You get 256 subnetworks to choose from, those are the third digit in the address. The: 192.168.xxx. the xxx part. Then you get 256 devices per subnetwork. Those addresses are assigned to the last of the three digit numbers 192.168.xxx.yyy (the yyy).
    When you are setting the cameras (and probably the joystick dingus), they probably all need to be on the same subnet. So in the case of the video here, they would all need to follow the 192.168.5.yyy, where yyy is the camera number. 5 is the subnet.
    You can use any subnet you want. In fact, if you had a complex multi camera set up, you could probably group them by subnets so the operators couldn't see each other's camera feeds.
    When you type an address of a camera into your web browser, it is literally going over the ethernet cable to the camera and then your browser is becoming a display for the little computer in the camera. (It is possible to manage any computer this way so long as it is set up correctly. You could just type in the computers local ip address that you assigned it and use it like it is in front of you (assuming everything on the computer will allow you to do that, that's a-whole-nother post).
    Don't worry so much that you get the right numbers in the ip address. Really, it's up to you, the network admin, to decide what the numbers are in the first place. You just need to make sure that they agree on all the devices.
    Of you want your camera to be 192.168.69.42, go ahead. You're joystick (and maybe computer) will just need to be on the 69 subnet too... That's what she said.
    Ip addresses aren't scary. Don't worry about it.
