I just purchased the FaMaKo IP Controller along with 3 20x PTZ's for our church that I'll be setting up real soon!!

Just got the controller and single camera combo for our church. Did some basic setup at home with it and only trouble I had was trying to add the camera through the web interface, doing a search from the controller worked really well. setting presets was easy and worked without any issues. I will probably need a cheat sheet to remember preset locations.

Thanks, it's now ;May 1, 2023--My church (Calvary Episcopal in Batavia, IL) just purchased the Fomako bundle with the 2 PTZ cameras and the Controller--and added a third PTZ Camera. We've been Zooming our services since 2019 and have recordings on TH-cam. We've been working with several webcam cameras and are delighted to have the PTZ camera capability (30X Zoom). We started using OBS about three months ago and need to find out how to work with the cameras, the controller, the .pdf file of the bulletin--all via OBS. We're still Zooming rather than streaming. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, when people could not come to church, Zoom conversations were an essential part of our ministry. Now we have coffee hours after every service (as usual) and we don't do as much chatting on Zoom. Still, the possibility of connection keeps us working with Zoom. Thanks for your video. It's very helpful. I'm still working to get things well set-up in the church. Good timing. Joel Montgomery, CalvaryEpiscopalBatavia.church.

Hi Ajay, at 6:42, you go on the internet to set up ip addresses. I am new to this. I do on the fly multicam gigs and usually don't have internet connection on location as I jusdt record or feed screens. Is it possible to skip this step by having permanent addresses for cams and controller so it becomes a plug and play type of setup?

Hi AJay. Happy New Year (2023) and Thank you for your great content. You have helped me to set up our church's live streaming studio. My controller is on dynamic IP address and every time you turn it on it is on different IP address. Now the IP address is different from the cameras' IP addresses ( the 3rd set numbers) and I have lost control of my cameras. How can I assign a static IP address to my controller.

I have the exact same issue. I can cycle the POE power on the switch and it will reconnect, but stays that way for maybe a day. I'm going to try and connect the power cable that came with it, maybe it's falling asleep or something. I'll have to update you.

      1) Why do you prefer the Fomako? Is it ease of setup, after sale support, video quality, or something else?

I guess I should mention I have One PTZOptic camera and looking to add this set up you have, but currently I’m using StreamDeck to do recall positions on PTZOptic app. That is why I’m asking do you know you can do recall positions with FoMaKo on a StreamDeck.

“Hard setting” the IP address means turning of DHCP and setting a static IP, right? Is there more involved than just that? We have two Fomako 20x cameras.. We have an Hsility joystick, but very interested in this one. Anyway does hard setting just mean setting static IP on each device, or is there more involved? Thanks!

This does not handle the live stream. This is only for controlling the ptzs. the ptz output goes into a capture device which wil then go into a streaming pc or streaming device like the atem mini pro or higher.
