    You mentioned Sony’s VISCA protocol support. Just curious if/how well this works for a Panasonic NDI PTZ camera? Any gotchas with Panasonic. Nice price/value. I would recommend clarifying NDI on SuperJoy. If I gather correctly this controller can control NDI PTZ camera in general (control protocol dependent) but you wouldn’t see NDI video feed on this controller vs the super joy, right? So instead of listing Super Joy as supporting NDI, maybe indicate (if I’m guessing correctly) NDI video input support?

      The SuperJoy supports NDI Control. NDI 4 changes the way NDI control works on NDI products. The SuperJoy uses NDI 4 for control, so in order to control a camera using the NDI protocol on the SuperJoy, the camera must adhere to the NDI protocol associated with NDI 4. If a camera does not support this protocol, you will not gain any control whatsoever.
      The SuperJoy does NOT pull any NDI video. The HDMI Output on the SuperJoy pulls the camera's RTSP feed, which means the camera must be on the LAN.
      I hope that clarifies things

      We have not implemented Panasonic's control language on the SUPERJOY. NDI support for the SUPERJOY is for control, not video. NDI Control requires that the cameras support NDI version 4. If the customer's camera supports NDI v4, then the camera will be controllable with the SUPERJOY through the NDI protocol.

    I had trouble getting this panel to work with the lumens A61P ptz camera . Pan tilt works fine but the exposure and focus control was not supported.

    GOT A QUESTION IF THIS CONTROLLER IS NOT NDI HOW DO GET VIDEO FROM THE CAMERA VIA THE ETHERNET CABLE ALONE ...I WAS THINKING THAT CABLE WAS ONLY FOR POWER...OH SORRY ABOUT CAPS

    • @PTZOptics
      @PTZOptics  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The PTZOptics G4 Joystick controller, which is not NDI-enabled, is primarily used for controlling PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras over a network (typically via Ethernet). However, it's important to clarify that this controller is for controlling the cameras and does not handle video transmission. The Ethernet connection in this context is used for control signals, not for video feed or power.
      To get video from your PTZOptics camera, you will need to use a separate connection. Here’s how you can manage it:
      Video Transmission from PTZOptics Cameras:
      SDI/HDMI Output: PTZOptics cameras typically come with SDI and/or HDMI outputs for video. You need to connect the camera to your video switcher, capture device, or display using an SDI or HDMI cable to get the video feed.
      NDI (For NDI Models): If you have an NDI-enabled PTZOptics camera, video can be transmitted over the network using the NDI protocol. However, this requires NDI-compatible hardware or software on the receiving end.
      Ethernet for Control:
      IP Control: The Ethernet cable connected to your PTZOptics camera is used for IP control. This allows the PTZOptics G4 Joystick (or other IP-based controllers) to communicate with the camera for PTZ movements, presets, and other camera settings.
      Network Configuration: Ensure that both the joystick controller and the camera are on the same network and properly configured to communicate with each other.
      Powering the Camera:
      Separate Power Source: PTZOptics cameras typically require a separate power source, either through a power adapter or Power over Ethernet (PoE), if the camera model supports it.
      PoE: Some PTZOptics camera models support PoE, allowing them to receive power through the Ethernet cable from a PoE-enabled switch or injector. This does not include the video signal, which still requires SDI or HDMI connection.
      Steps to Get Video:
      1. Connect Camera to Display/Switcher: Use an SDI or HDMI cable to connect the camera to your display, switcher, or capture device.
      2. Configure Camera Output: Set up the desired video output settings on the camera (resolution, frame rate, etc.).
      3. Control via Ethernet: Connect the camera to the network for IP control from the PTZOptics G4 Joystick.
      4. Use Joystick for Control: Use the joystick to control the camera's PTZ movements while monitoring the video through the connected video output.
      In summary, while the Ethernet connection on your PTZOptics camera is used for control signals (and possibly power if it's PoE-enabled), the video signal is transmitted separately via SDI or HDMI. The PTZOptics G4 Joystick facilitates camera control but does not handle video transmission.

    Hi! Nice video. I have a question. I wanted to know how to remove a preset. I have the same same controller y I wanted to know how to remove presets.

    • @PTZOptics
      @PTZOptics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Franklin, There is no "one button" to "remove presets". You would just add the new presets to the joystick, and they would overwrite the old ones that you have programed in. Example: You have a preset in preset 1, just re do that preset and assign it to preset 1. It will overwrite the old. You could Factory Default resetting the camera, which will remove all presets. You can do that through the OSD menu. Hope that helps.

      Tax depends on where you purchased from, local taxes, etc. I can’t imagine a vendor answering such a question in this forum/context. I’d recommend calling if you plan to buy direct, or a question for your chosen reseller
