Fred thanks for another great video. On the Maverick forum guys are getting Kia mirrors from the junk yard that have HomeLink and auto dim for night. Lets see you install one of those. I can get you the part number if you need it.
Yes, I’ve been trying for a year to buy a Kia mirror. I have ordered them twice and both time they have been “ out of stock”. If you know of a place or a part #, please pass it along. I definitely want to add the Home link mirror. Thanks
Just ordered the dual cam off Amazon for $344CAD. We always get reemed in Canada. Just got an SMS from DHL that it's shipped already from...SHENZHEN - CHINA! 😀 Great install video.
Hi, sorry I missed your comment. So far the camera has been great. I love the feeling of recording incase something happens. Let me know how rough the rear wiring is. Have a great day.
I like this option, but the rear view mirror on my 23 Mav was vision limiting, this would create a larger blind spot. I actually placed mirror extenders on the rear view mirror to get it up and out of my line of sight. This would be a great choice for someone shorter.
I’m only 5’7” and the mirror bugs me also. When I picked up my truck the mirror shaft was angled downward and I could not see anything. So what I did was angle up my mirror rod so the mirror now almost touches the plastic cover I removed in the video. It’s still low but much more livable now. I install the camera mainly because my sine will get his driver license in December and I want video proof of his driving or god forbid he gets into an accident.
Great tutorial, thanks for sharing. Can you download video through your camera app? EG: did you have to take the SD card out to upload your video to TH-cam?
I do not not remove the SD card. This is how I do it, first I used my iPhone and did all the editing on that. Then I bought a DJI Osmo pocket 3 combo pack. It came with the microphone. The osmo 3 follows you by itself. So I now shoot the video, the camera wirelessly connects to the DJI Mimo app on my iPad then I down load the video to my iPad. Once down loaded the camera is done and I edit and upload the video to TH-cam from my iPad. Hope this helped, any questions please ask.
Your welcome, my son‘s getting his drivers license in December and I wanna make sure we have video recording of any issues. Hey you have a great weekend.
I agree, so this is what I can tell you so far. The video quality is much better, especially at night than my thinkware Ford one in my Bronco. It is 4K where the Bronco one is 1089p. It will take a few minutes for the app and the camera to sinc for the first time then its connects easy The app is much easier to use then the thinkware one. The he most important is that my Maverick has never had a battery issue and this camera has not placed the Maverick in @deep sleep mode.” The longest I have left the Maverick without driving was 2 days. Hope this helps have a great day.
Another great video!
Thank you so much. You have a great rest of your day.
Great video. Ill be looking i to that camera!
Btw, mentioned it a while ago, but I finally built my bed box for my maverick. Works awesome.
Great, post a short of the beatbox. I’d love to see it.

Would like to see a little more in-depth review of the cam and features
