Absolutely thrilled to finally see an OEM looking fog kit for the Maverick. Install instructions could not be any clearer and paced perfectly. Hats off to DD!👏👏
Wish there were some horizontal ones that went next to the tow hooks so I didn't have to remove them. It's difficult to decide on this kit or keeping the tow hooks.
Bought fog lights in Jan. After watching installation video I decided to have local body shop guy (who loves modifications), to install them. Cost me $700 but I am totally satisfied. They look great and function great. Thanks DD.
Installed, I’m happy with them. You really need to trim that bezel a bit more than just the outline. Trim, then fit it, and check the front to see if it’s fitting flush. If not, remove and trim again. Do it right, take your time the first time. I had to pull off my bumper 3 times over a few days to get it all right, due to a lousy trim job not allowing the left light to be adjusted up enough. They do not have that much adjustment built in, so getting it flush to the bumper is pretty necessary. I had a slight gap at the top that I thought was fine, but it really threw the light off a few too many degrees out of the adjustable range.
The F-150 has a headlamp control knob that doubles as a fog on/off switch. I understand it can be easily switched out from the Maverick control and I was wondering if your wiring harness would accommodate wiring to the F-150 control knob.
Surely, some custom wiring would have to be done, however, we have not tested the functionality and compatibility of this harness with a custom control knob. Feel free to give us a call at 314-205-3033 Monday-Friday 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. CST, or shoot us an email at contact@diodedynamics.com, and our in-house US service team would be happy to help you with that.
What is the lumen level for each light? Looking for something bright to light up the road. Also can you install it without the toggle switch and just link it headlights. Just want it to turn on when headlights turn on.
AND they deactivate when your high beam headlights are activated, to maintain FMVSS compliance.... Right? Because you did actually connect the red deactivation wire to the high beam circuit, and not actually just tucked it away... Right?
Hey there, great question! The activation, number, mounting location, and use of fog lamps on non-commercial vehicles is defined by each state - you can check local laws for requirements in your area! Thanks for checking them out!
Question: At 11:47 connecting power to battery. I have a hybrid and the 12 volt battery is located under the rear passenger seat - is there a positive battery terminal located under the hood to use, or does an extended wire need to be routed back to the battery under the seat?
These can be installed however you would like, however the included fog light harness would not be used. Instead you would use our Dual-output Light Duty Harness to have only manual functions from a toggle switch. Here's the link for you to check out! www.diodedynamics.com/light-duty-dual-output-4-pin-wiring-harness.html
I wish you made side mount turn / running signals for the mirror or for the side xlt emblem. As nice as they are,Living in the desert Southwest we we don't get too much fog to justify fog lamps
We totally understand that! Keep in mind that fog lamps also are very beneficial in dusty, desert weather, as well as providing extra light in front of the truck. Great looking Fogs! thank you I can't wait to order mine 😃 the switch that ends inside the cabin can technically turn them on and off so they don't turn on all the time with headlights?
That is correct! If you turn the switch on, the fog lights will only turn on when the low beams are on, and with the switch turned off, it will disable the functions of the fog light!
@@diodedynamics Sorry just to clarify, when the switch is off, the lights are off, when the switch is on the lights are on, but what about the yellow running lights? Are they on while the switch is off, or are they on when the switch is on and the headlights are off? That was a lot lol
@@EjayMenchavez When the switch is turned off, nothing will turn on. When the switch is turned on, the amber backlight will turn on automatically with the parking lights, and the fog lights will automatically turn on with the low beams!
@@diodedynamics oh I see! Maybe I should have got the yellow lights 🤔 too late haha! I can't wait to install them. They look so great and there's no way to tell they're not OEM.

Is there a kit in the works for the trim levels with tow hooks? If so, will they be wired inline with the headlights similar to the rear light kits you offer?
Unfortunately, we do not have current plans for the models with tow hooks at this time, however, you can check out JJC customs for a couple more options! Here is his website: jjc-llc.com/
@@diodedynamicsAre there any plans for a plug-n-play harness similar to the rear light pods? Or as an option for those who run with fogs on 24/7? Not having to tap into factory wiring and run ground wires and switches would be nice. Obviously those in states with laws prohibiting it would need the current harness with the toggle switch.
Great question! This speaker is only installed on hybrid models. Hybrid vehicles are equipped with speakers to alert pedestrians to their presence, especially at low speeds when they are operating in all-electric mode and produce less noise than traditional vehicles. This is due to safety concerns that pedestrians and cyclists, especially those with visual impairments, may not be able to hear them coming.
THE BEST installation video I have seen by FAR! Plan to add these in time.
Wow, thanks for the support! 🤝🤘
Thanks CJ, looking forward to installing these!

For those with the XL/XLT does the wiring change since the DRL are the low beam headlights?
