We bought a Chausson 640 Dec 23 and immediately had a flat battery problem and Premium motorhomes near Chichester were absolutely unless and blamed everybody else and not interested in looking into the problem which continues. Thank you for giving me a fix and I will now try this out. Thank you and anybody reading this please stay away from Premier Motorhomes they are useless and tell lies.
I’m really sorry to hear your report on this company. I know Andy and his team and have always had a great experience of them. Thanks for watching and I trust you will get to the cause of the flat battery
Bit disappointed, we were waiting for a shout out as the light flashing couple 😂 Glad you’ve found a fix. Apart from that issue we thoroughly enjoyed the transit automatic Chausson 👍🏻 Best wishes Patrick and Claire.
I do think people should know the difference between a drive train chassis issue and the motorhome issue because one doesn’t really relate to another and must frustrate dealers alike because they are often being yelled at by a customer who doesn’t understand the difference. Great show and my humble apologies for being a bit more vocal last week Jguk
Over what period of time does this issue start to occur if you have it. My battery has recently gone flat for some reason on my Benimar/Ford van.. Could be user error I suppose, it's only 12 months old. I will definitely be looking at doing this check if it does it again. Great video.
With fairy dust and a magic lamp you could probably stay indoors. 🤣🤣🤣 I’m afraid my man paws are too big to even try that. Glad you were able to sort this. Please share to other Ford chassis motorhome owners. It’s an easy fix isn’t it?
I have a 2022 Ford, and never had a problem, I think its because I use an external thermal screen cover, this stops the majority of the condensation. But having said that I think I will do this mod. Also, I had heard Ford now do a cover to stop this, I don't know if that's true or not. Great video☝
Wonder of this issue will occur with our Swift 894 2024, as it has a heated screen so maybe the same connector issue.. hopefully not as we use a outside silver screen and as you said it is great at stopping condensation during the night, we also open vents as soon as we get up and before the kettle goes on for our morning cuppa. As always great pod cast.
Thanks for the lovely comment. It is likely to occur if you were to allow condensation but it sounds like you are doing everything you can to minimise it. Thanks again
Auto sleeper ( F62 ) supply the interior screen covers and we found it caused the condensation on the inside of the screen, when we use an external cover there are no problems but we check anyway. I am not sure if the Remis blinds do the same as the internal covers ( causing condensation ) but since we bought external covers we have no problems with condensation inside the windscreen, we always use thermal covers and have vents partly open at night.
All professionally presented and covered my topic, but all I could see was 'Smashy and Nicey' (Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse). Brilliant! 😅
Totally poptastic mate!
Glad you enjoyed it. Must say I love having to opportunity to do this podcast. It’s great fun!
Excellent reply🤣. Love the fact that you've got a good sense of humour too 👍@@MotorhomeMatt
Not arrf' pop picker.
But do the proceeds from this video go to charidee, mate?
I hope Ford see this and take action at the point of manufacturing. Well done Jordan.
I’m sending this to Ford for comment…

Thanks for commenting! Yes it’s a common source of confusion! Be vocal all you like! 👍🏻🧡

On our new Ford models it was within a few months and in weather conditions where condensation would form on the inside of the windscreen
Just shared the link for this episode to the Chausson owners group as lot have the Ford problem Thanks
I think its been covered a few times on there
Brilliant thank you. I’m sure many folk will find this helpful
I’ve just done the fix thank you, but I suspect that with small hands one could jump from 13:02 on the video to the fix itself.

Thanks for commenting. Yes, your screen cover will be limiting the condensation which causes the issue.

External screen covers are the way forward to prevent condensation. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy your van!
The wiring loom on driver side which connects to the bcm which controls the lights has the same issue. I believe ford have plastic cover for it
Good to know thanks for commenting
Another really interesting & helpful video, thanks guys! 😊
Thank you. Really appreciate the feedback
Thank you very much
You are welcome. Thanks for commenting
Amazing! Thanks guys 😘
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Had an EVERYTHING flashing issue on my Auto Trail Ford after a mega condensation night and Ford replaced the BCM free of charge
That’s great to hear!
Can you use the gasstop on a safefill bottle as a hand wheel pigtail is recommended for a Safefill ?
If the fitting is the same thread then yes you could. I believe lots of people do use this with a Safefill bottle
Just check how much more money insurance companies have made in the last few years compared to five years ago. So the highest cost is a BS excuse.
Interesting insight. Not sure how to view this
