I own 5 pairs of the Nike Epic React Flyknit 2, which is the 2019 React flagship shoe. This Pegasus 37 is the standard shoe issued to high school and college athletes, but I will guess that it wears out faster compared to the Reacts.

I got my pair since you mentioned wide sizes very briefly. I checked it out and surely Nike had them for extra wide sizes. Now to wait for them for about a month, ha!

The Peg 27 used to be cush and less speed oriented, and has been put on a diet ever since. This is just a version that goes back to the original Peg it seems... Only hoping it's not too Vomerjykes. 🙂
Great review, combing both of your video concepts, Jami! One question for you - you guys talk about all the cushion, but the stack is only 24/14mm officially on Nike's site. Is this truly the stack height for the Pegasus 37?
And then I moved away from Peg to Novablast / Glideride because the ride wasn't great...should I move back? I enjoy both though, just the Asics abit more....
I was waiting for this review before making a decision on purchasing.

@@carlosnunez2997 I did and have about 250 miles on them. They are an good daily trainer. I just wish they were a bit lighter.

Great Video ! Do you think with the react foam it will be in between the Peg 36 and the infinity/epic react? I have the reacts and I did find the 36 to be a bit more on the harder side when i tried it on so these might be what I'm looking for.
I think as a great all round running shoe it'll hit the mark, really looking forward to it.
Nike have so many trainers and I now have about 3 shoes on rotation instead of just 1 pair...and I keep getting fed up that they don't quite do what I expect (peg Turbo 2) and it's costing me a lot...but unless I'm racing and fully fit, I just wear my Pegasus. For short runs, fast runs, long runs...allows me to vary my pace and the surface as I choose. It's a great shoe and I just sometimes want that extra bit of cushion- especially as I used to wear the Vomero.

You like this as a replacement for an Epic or Odyssey React? The Infinity and Miler both look like way too much cushion If you ever want to pick up the pace.

I've only done the one 10k run in the Peg 37's so far but I do already like how they feel - Cushioned yet you feel a bit of energy return, and easy to pick up speed in compared to the structured shoes I tend to wear most of the time. I wasn't keen on the shallow heel but with firm lacing it's all good. A fairly comfy shoe which didn't cause any niggles for middle distance.

Hey Meg and Jamison, I have 2 pair of the Pegasus 36 4e, is the wide version of the 37 similar or is it wider again? I'm pretty excited about the 37, with react foam and a softer fore foot, but I doubt Nike will ship the wide to Australia any time soon.
I don't run but these shoes feel nice for everyday life as well
I plan on starting to run to get back in shape. I tend to have challenges with my knees. what are you thoughts around the shoes supporting knee tension?

I’ve always read about transitioning from traditional running shoes to minimals but I am in the opposite situation.
I received a Nike Pegasus 37 as a gift and for the first time in more than a decade, I’ve tried wearing a traditional running shoe. My usuals are minimalist shoes and my thickest shoe would be the Nike Free 5.0.
Having used the Pegasus for a few times, I’ve noticed heel discomfort on one foot. I’m not sure if it’s coincidence, or my foot not being used to the large stack height and drop of the shoe.
Any thoughts on this?

Would you choose the Peg, Asics Cumulus or NB 880? Looking for a versatile shoe with cushion, need room in toe box. Have the 880, but might have to get a wide next time, toe area tighter.
This peg 37 or the vomero 14? React and full length or react and double stacked front? Which one do you pick?
Also peg turbo will not be continued, lightweight responsive trainer options are sadly decreasing now

after all the hype I decided to get a pair of nike's I went to the shoe store to try on the peg 37. they slipped out of the heal cup and was narrow in the toe box. so I decided to get them custom made for me. after 2 weeks they arrived. I have worn them several times and used different methods to tie my shoes. Even though I had order a wide version they still felt too narrow in the toe box and I wish I had ordered the extra wide version. the heal still slips in and out still and I feel like this shoe will never make my shoe rotation. I love my fuel cell rebel, kinvara 11, truimp 17, and Clifton 6 they fit great out the box the first time and inspires me to run for miles.

Im shopping for a new neutral running shoe. I am doing research on Nike Pegasus 37 vs Asics Gel-Nimbus 22 vs New Balance 1080v10. This video kinda helps.
is this shoe anything like the Zoom Fly 3. I really disliked that shoe. It was very unstable for me in the heel area of the sole.
the Peg 37 seems to have a wider sole... is that correct??

I"m looking for a running shoe i can use everyday. I just want one running shoe. I can't be spending money on multiple pairs of shoes for all sorts of different type of runs.. I'm not a competitive runner i just like to run for exercise 5 days a week, probably 4-5 miles a day. I'm currently using adidas ultraboost...is the nike pegasus something i can do like a "one and done' in terms of purchase for a daily running shoe?

@Jamison Michael how does the sizing and fit compare to the peg 36? I hated that fit they were thin and too long foot never felt secure in the 36. Does the 37 have a fit more the 35 or the 36?

Q: Hi Jamison, with new shoes with a carbon plate and the marketing behind those products (like the Vaporfly in the feet of Eliud Kipchoge), how can shoes than were/are considered to be a great almost all distances shoe in a lighter package (like the Nike Pegasus or the Saucony Kinvara) survive? 36s didn’t have enough cushion for me as a daily runner and played a part when I got a stress fracture, I like vomero 14s because of the cushion, i’ve heard these shoes are basically a new vomero. These better than the vomero 14s?

What's the efferent between wide and standard and narrow? my leg is luck duck feet, big front and small heel, which one should I get? I wear Pegaus 35 11 standard, but I not sure if I should go down a size and go wide?

Hey can someone please explain the benefit of all the cushioning in the heel for a running shoe? I’m new to running but I thought heel striking was a big no no, and you are meant to land on your mid foot. so this is only beneficial for everyday walking??

I think the Pegasus is going to become the more cushioned shoe like how the vomero, but with a little less cushion and the peg turbo becomes the in between shoe like the previous peg models, but with a little less cushion

Hey guys, I have a mild overpronation while running. Is the Pegasus 37 a safe shoe to run in? Been trying out in store twice but can't seem to make that decision
I have these shoes. I am a runner in 36' on 10km, and I do not see myself running a 10 with, or even a semi: they are not made to go fast. On slow gaits (jogging, EF) up to gaits approaching 4'00 ~ 4'15 per kilo, nickel: good energy return, optimal comfort. But beyond these speeds, we feel constrained at the level of the stride, the sole seems to play more against us than with us, hence a feeling of too much energy expenditure. I wonder what the "Turbo" version of this Pegasus 37 is worth at this level suddenly ... Maybe it is more versatile and therefore quite simply a much better choice.
