    Man! That’s an awesome color on those Pegasus 37’s.

    “Don’t mess with my outsole!” Old school peg wearer here. I would have been pissed if they went for more of an epic react type outsole because I think it would have take away some of the versatility across surfaces such as grass and non-technical trails.

    Awesome customization on your Nike By You-really cool colorway. Loving my pair, much softer than the Cushlon midsoles of the past. The big forefoot zoom gives a lot of pop off the pavement and makes faster paces feel easier. Should be a great jack of all trades!

    • @nanofan100
      @nanofan100 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Have you seen any improvements in pace as well or it's just more comfortable?

      New shoes aren’t going to make you run faster, it’ll only make the faster paces easier on your feet.

    • @steveh5242

      @@nanofan100 It's not my fastest pair of shoes, far from it. But in terms of versatility, the Peg can do it all better than any other shoe I have, and this newer version definitely handles faster paces better than the 35/36.

      @nanofan100 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great reviews, you are definitely a top 3 reviewer for where I go for real world experience (and it seems you are mates with one of the other best reviewers out there).
    If you can, like many, only buy one pair primarily for shorter runs (10k max) with some interval training and very rare race days, running on mostly hard surfaces, what would you get? These, turbo 2, zoom fly 3 or something else like Carbon X, Rincon, adizero Adios 4 (I Heard- issue with 5) of Ultraboost 20? My existing is a Brooks Glycerin which has been good but lost its bounce and wearing out the sole, i want something more reactive, good cushion but maybe lighter and faster.
    I am a tall runner, typically 5-10km twice a week, seem to wear out the forefoot first, use other shoes for my gym, HIIT routines. Thanks !

    Hi, I've had several incarnations of Pegasus over the years - my last was the 35. They have always served me well, but recently I've looked for a lighter shoe. I LOVE my pegasus turbo 2's and have wondered if I should go back to the Pegasus? I have also run in a few Brooks Ghost's too. What are your thoughts about trying the new Brooks hyperion tempo, getting more turbo 2's or going back to a pegasus 37? I seem to have the Exact same wear pattern that you do (lateral rear heel).
    Basically what are your favourite neutral shoes? (currently marathon training)
    Thank you. LOVE your reviews and clips BTW.

    Hey Kofuzi, when you refer to heel slippage (not just for this shoe) does this only mean your heel slipping up and down so almost out of the shoe? Or can this term also apply to side to side or front and back slippage? With a narrow foot, I have some issues with front and back slippage which can cause blisters/black toenails/painful toes etc... Thanks!

    I have these shoes. I am a runner in 36' on 10km, and I do not see myself running a 10 with, or even a semi: they are not made to go fast. On slow gaits (jogging, EF) up to gaits approaching 4'00 ~ 4'15 per kilo, nickel: good energy return, optimal comfort. But beyond these speeds, we feel constrained at the level of the stride, the sole seems to play more against us than with us, hence a feeling of too much energy expenditure. I wonder what the "Turbo" version of this Pegasus 37 is worth at this level suddenly ... Maybe it is more versatile and therefore quite simply a much better choice.

    Honestly, I had no idea about your beef with Nike but I had noticed I lost interest in your channel the past few months. From reading the comments, I see why.
    Nike is a beast. To some a beast is a bad scary thing, to others a great force that overcomes obstacles. However you take it, a beast is not something that is easy to challenge. Nike is a beast. Nike is not easy to challenge. Like it or not.
    I applaud your effort,even if it honestly failed. I subscribed to your channel for reviews of the best running shoes and to motivate me to run. Nike is without a doubt ONE of the best shoemaker. Excluding them your reviews essentially made the reviews of others pointless. Sort of like comparing an NBA player to a college player. We want to compare an NBA player to an NBA player. We want a fair comparison and see who is best, plain and simple.
    You have a lot of followers, myself included, but I’m older, as I suspect most of your subscribers are. We tend not to jump on movements as easily as younger adults/teens. These big movements started by social media generally start by people with millions and millions of younger followers who follow anything. This is not you. You do not have millions and millions of young followers. I have family members who have millions of followers who do nothing but look pretty. When they ask for something, they get it. In all reality it is sad and unfair, but so are many things in life.
    You run a great TH-cam channel, but most people that watch it come for advice on shoes. When you don’t give complete reviews, you won’t get the support you had.
    I ride Zwift as well and was happy to see you post about it. But honestly, it is not your strong point. Running and running shoes are. Im sure u have a high paying job aside from TH-cam money and sponsorships, but I really hope you continue to make great videos and review all brands of shoes including Nike. For the reviews and video you make, you deserve to get TH-cam rich, way more than other youtubers. Let the young kids start the social movement and let them risk their livelihood on it. Im glad your back to the old Kofuzi.

    I've been waiting for this review from you. I picked up a pair of these. My only complaints which are minor are the wight, potential heel slippage and breathability. I wish they were aliitle litter. They are the heaviest shoe in rotation ( zoomfly flynit and freedom 3). I thought the heel slippage might be and issue but the runners knot took care of that. I feel that they are really warm shoe compared to my other shoes.

    I’ve been reading and watching about peg37 and Adidas sl20. Looking for a pair for faster pace for 5-10k run. Like the peg37 design, generally good review but not available in SG yet, will retail for 199 . Sl20 slightly mixed review but mostly positive and I can get it with 30% discount off the 160 price which makes it a very good deal. Still undecided but leaning towards SL20 since it’s already available. Will it be a good choice?

    Loving the color way! How do you like the toggle laces? Do they bother you during running?

      I’ve experienced them on a variety of Nike shoes before. They are a bit annoying with the foot pod. But it’s manageable.

    I ran the Odyssey React for the last two years and really got to enjoy React with the touch of added stability and pop. You think that this new Peg is a good replacement? Infinity and Miler look like more recovery shoes than do-it-all daily trainers.

    • @kofuzi
      @kofuzi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve always thought the odyssey was a Pegasus with React. The 37 is similar but with a lot more stack height

    Do you think that bubble feeling would have been more pronounced if Nike had lowered the PSI on the men's zoom pod like they did with the women's?

    I bought peg 37 and took them for first run today, did 5k and when I finished all I could think was.... I wish I wore my hoka Rincon 😕

    • @kofuzi
      @kofuzi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      that's interesting. i generally feel like a good intro to Hoka from a Nike runner's perspective would be the Rincon. but perhaps Rincon lovers might not necessarily like the Pegasus

    I also felt that bubbly feeling in the first runs, it seems to give early on. I also disliked the feeling of having too much rubber, I don’t remember it feeling so present in the 35s I had for 900kms

    What is the custom spec (every option) ? Did you go with sticky rubber? Is toggle lacing for speed or ..?

    • @kofuzi
      @kofuzi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Toggle lacing was because regular lacing was not yet an option when I ordered these. It was either speed laces or fly ease.

      i don't have a big preference. maybe the speed laces are a bit easier to live with for a trainer, although i'm not sure i'd want it in a racer

    Hi, Would you be able to do a review on Nike Air Zoom Winflo 7, since it will be more relevant to runners in this part of the world, Nike has released Winflo 7 here & yet to introduce Peg 37 , all the more Winfllo 7 comes with Cushlon mid sole with a bigger zoom unit upfront, curious to know your opinion how it stacks up with Peg 37 !
