Yes I talked to my mechanic, we refused to do this repair, then I talked to my transmission shop him and dealership both recommended a new/ rebuild transmission. There is some info online but not like this video showing you how to do it exactly. I went to school for auto. But ended up changing professions, lol but I am very good with my hands lol
Excellent catch you make videos with no B.S you identify things, which in alot of video they don't want to let you in on the little details thar are crucial to a successful outcome. Great video well done.
I have Lexus 2000 and the model is RX300. I have jerking issue with my Lexus when accelerating and I came from across your video online and decided to give it a try....
Hi there, I have a check engine light and I'm due for smog/renewal. Scanner shows P0765 SHIFT SOLENOID D. It's a 2003 Camry 4cyl. My problem is, I don't know which one is the SHIFT SOLENOID D so I can replace it. The dealer was helpful but the repair manual on their system does not pinpoint which one is the solenoid D either, neither which one is the shift solenoid among the 5 total solenoids. Any suggestion? Thanks
Nice congratulations. I’m happy it worked, I’m glad you found the video. I search high and low and couldn’t find much info so I decided to record it. What year is you’re Lexus?

My big question is once you drop the transmission pan then put the new Solenoids in, The fluid is still stuck in the converter. So what comes out is this the only fluid replaced??? It seems to be the largest question out here.
The fluid doesn’t become lava after you drop the pan it’s not a big deal if you have a trans cooler or torque converter that’s still full of old fluid unless you grenade the trans and there’s metal in the fluid
I have a check engine light saying transmission solenoid c but when I take it out and check it it was click find I m wondering if it can still be problem
I have a 2008 Lexus GS 350 sometimes when I accelerate the gas pedal and I let go it takes like three seconds for the rpm to drop. Could this be the problem.
Was it throwing any codes? Same car but it still shudders, (getting worse), after filter/fluid change and the red tube of shudder stop. Does it when trying to shift.
I have a es330 04 once car gets to second gear that’s when the slipping symptoms kick it in .. should I just replace the solenoids or replace the transmission
Muchachos!! Gracias!! Gracias!!
Hi, have transmission issues with a 2005 Lexus LS430, scanner says solenoid bad, took it to a shop but mechanic says most likely a computer problem, what do you guys think? Car jerks hard when slowing down coming to a stop, 139k miles original fluid.
Thank you for the information. But he should have changed that part because the oil for the transmission cost more than the solenoid sensors if you are going to do this might as well put some new parts in there.
I was told by the mechanic my gs300 2jzge is having a gearbox problem which needs to be replaced the soonest (190k km on the dash).. there's no code but the gear slipping was there when shifting 2nd to 3rd or when it shifts 3rd to 4th on ECT POWER mode is ON. could solenoid C be the culprit? TIA
@@REVUPMEDIA it was as expected.. the mechanic replaced solenoid c and few other plates (which didn't know which one) and filled with brand new oil. They had to take out the whole gearbox.. now works like new.
My issue- transmission shifting hard 2-3 gear, I had no 4th or 5th gear. $$$ That’s exactly why I did it this way. First I dropped the pan changed the filter and new oil. It started driving a lot better. So I researched found that the shift solenoid breaks from the inside. The dealership wanted 500$ just for one solenoid! I took a risk and it worked!
