Yes! Sandro is back!!!!! I have rain x and just purchased a neat 3 door Volkswagen up and plan on giving her the works when my 1 inch da polisher arrives for the A pillers and tougher spots which is where I get to work with CarPro Ceri Glass. This hobby keeps me seriously sane as I dont have much else to ease my ocd and feel great.
I love rain x. Very little fuss when applying and i think I’ve used one bottle from 10 years of detailing family and friend’s cars (and probably spilled more than I’ve used). I’d say thats pretty much bang on for MY expectations of a glass product.
From my experience the problem with any hydrophobic coating is the hazing that occurs temporarily after each wipe of the wiper blade. This is inevitable as the wiper creates a thin coating of water on the screen that then breaks up into tiny droplets due to the hydrophobic nature of the coating. The effect only lasts briefly but is annoying. It is true that at higher speeds the wipers might not be needed ( or can be put on intermittent) as the wind speed clears the rain droplets away by itself - but at lower speeds the wipers will still be needed. So you get this hazing effect.
Idk if you have ever tried but you can apply coating to the wipers (best if new & cleaned as best as possible). Ive found with windshield coatings, best to just get newer wipers so that they have the strongest contact with windshield to prevent as much of that hazing as possible
100% agree with you Jonathan. So do you use nothing on your windshield now? I'm currently using nothing. I find glass coatings on windows also annoying in genuine rain because my eyes naturally focus on the beads at first glance instead of on the road ahead. I'd rather the water sheet.
Honestly based on results I’ll save $50 and get Rain X every time. But what sells me on sealants is durability and how long they last! I want 5 year glass coatings :(
Not sure what you were looking Sandro, but to my eye RainX is clearly the most hydrophobic (at least at the start), followed very closely by NV, Nextzett and Gyeon. Honestly can't judge Carpro from the small video that was at the bottom so won't say where that one fits in. Stoners was very clearly the least hydrophobic. Maybe things looked different in person, but that's just how I see it in this vid.
Rain-X has one other great attribute: it will cause no trouble on surfaces with imbedded signal panels (e.g. side view mirrors). These cannot be prepared the same way windows can be, or so I've been told. So, I use Rain-X for mirrors.
Hi Sandro, thanks for the time it has taken to do this testing on glass coatings. I was looking at applying a glass coating on my 2019 Tucson which is outside 24/7, but I found the combination of Turtle Ice Seal N Shine (new formula) with Rain-X Washer additive work great together. I only just added some Rain-X to washer bottle yesterday, whilst Seal N Shine was applied almost 2 months ago and still going strong on All the glass surfaces I applied it to. Even during that week of the heavy rain down the East Coast it worked fantastically. Thanks again for another intuitive video. Cheers, Ozz
I've always just used Rain-X and to this day, still do. It's cheap, it's easy to use and it performs amazingly (the water bead contact angles to me seem to be well in excess of 120 degrees). With that said, I always polish the glass with CarPro CeriGlass (and an old polishing pad, at the moment it's a lake country white foam pad) as I feel it's the only thing that truly gets the glass completely bare. You can tell it's completely bare when you wash it and rinse and the water is just completely flat. Even waxes bond to it and bead up when it's that clean. I know it's a bit overkill, as not every car needs it, specially not new ones, but since most cars in Puerto Rico have hard water-spots on them, that's just my preferred method. As for the Gyeon instructions, I think I understand what you mean and I agree. It seems to me they're just mystifying the process to make it appear more sophisticated than it is. I've never used it, but I bet their "primer polish" is just a regular cerium oxide based glass polish like CarPro's CeriGlass. Sandro, I've never felt the need to try anything else, as Rain-X has always pleased me with its results, but after watching this video, now I wanna give the Nextzett coating a try! It seemed to be the most hydrophobic out of the pack (even more so than the Nova coating) at least from the video, and at least before all that chemical torture. I understand it likely looks much different in person, but either way, the Nextzett is much cheaper than Nova, so I'll just try that one out! Thank you for always providing value in your videos Sandro, your effort to do testing and documenting/presenting it in such a nice and easy to digest manner and sharing your results with the world does not go by unnoticed and unappreciated. Oh and one more thing we agree on, Stoner makes an incredibly good glass cleaner! It's effective, it's cheap, and it also doubles as a panel-wipe. I use that instead of the much more expensive options like Gyeon Prep or CarPro Eraser when prepping the paint for a coating/sealant application.

Thanks for creating this informative video Sandro! I will need to re-watch it when I am ready to apply Carpro Flyby Forte on my car. Your last video on applying a ceramic coating came a week after I applied Gyeon Q2 View to my parents car. I followed the video by Gyeon Ambassador Yves Heylen and followed the 15 minute wait times between applications but I found the buffing off process very labor intensive. Despite preparing the glass washing, clay baring, cleaning and applying the polish product supplied manually I was not able to achieve the squeaky sound that is a good sign that the glass is prepared properly when applying the protective coating. Anyway my parents report the water is beading off the glass however I am not sure how long it will last. I am awaiting for the Max Shine 3" polisher to arrive through WaxIT. Thanks for listing all the items / products you use coupled with informative content is a real help that is allowing me to develop better habits in my passion for car detailing.
Rain X roughly 9 euros in Europe. Nextzett i can get for around 9-11 euros for 200ml. Looks like a killer value. I actually have a bottle of rain X around. But when it finishes i will defenitly get the Nextzett. Many thanks Sandro. Your videos are so great. I'm really gratefull for your videos. They really helped me to get products and techniques to detail my own car and to my friends and family ones as well.
Sandro, I can’t thank you enough for these videos. Your ability to produce educational videos that on the surface (good pun) seem mundane in nature…enables someone to get the ‘why’ on what others end with ‘what’. The demonstrated information in your library not only shows how to do great work, but what is necessary to make reproducible quality work. I’d love to see another wax shootout when it makes sense for you to assemble.
Hey Sandro! What a surprise and funny situation! Rainy day here in Sweden, big windows from the floor to the ceiling coated by CarPro Reload (yes, don’t laugh please), my wife and I are enjoying windows water repellency and watching your video about almost the same! ))))) Let me add some little extra info maybe will be useful for you or for you Guys who are reading comments - I have applied CarPro Forte and CarPro Flyby 30 many times to my vehicles with different technics and the result was always approx. the same - working, but not as good as other cheaper water repellents on the market. And I got a possibility to talk to one of the CarPro Guys who has connection to chemical lab and he described me everything I need to know - as CarPro is manufactured in Korea and need to be imported to other countries (sorry, talking about the EU now) they need to have all the chemical certificates that they are “Earth Friendly”, etc and he told me exactly the thing inside chemical formalus which making the major effect of water repellency is not okay for certification, so they need to create their products without it. That’s why they are continuously working on the formula to achieve best result and that’s why the user guide looks like a mass. And as a result even this Guy advised me to use one of the EU product that don’t need to have import certificates and have “not Earth Friendly” chemicals inside. I have choose the one I was able to find out and it was rain repellent from Max Protect from UK (yes, before Brexit) and I have been surprised it is working like it should and much better of CarPro’s. Application experience was approx. the same as CarPro, three layers to windscreen, one to all other glasses. Experience and daily driving for 8 months - still working fine. Another thing to add Sandro - I have used rain repellent from Turtle Wax many years and I am love it still as I believe it’s working the best (as you have seen on the RainX on your video, I believe the product from Turtle Wax is from the same league). The one disappointment from the Turtle Wax product is need to be reapplied after one month. Nova is not available in Sweden, so need to continue with CarPro products which are the best I believe now and here) Sorry for such a long comment. Love your video and music! P.S: CarPro Reload is doing great on the house windows for 3 years now, washing them twice a year only 😊
In practice, rain x does the job for me and i don’t think i’m missing out on anything. i’m also the type of DIYer that polishes the glass once every 2 months where i put in more effort than most
First off, the song that starts around 10:30 is smokin'... sounds sort of like a male Dua Lipa... that said, this was a great video. For someone like me, the rain x seems like the call. I'd rather have to apply it more often but have it be relatively idiot-proof. "Easy and good enough" is what I'm looking for. Great video, thanks.
That’s a very thorough test but people don’t use these products on glass panels in their yard, they use them on actual car windscreens. The problem I’ve always had with these products is wiper smear/hazing. It would have been really useful to know which product was the best or worst for this.
I am so impressed you reviewed Rainx as well as these boutique products. It shows your curiosity and integrity in testing a range of products. I still have a bottle of Rainx that I was going to relegate to coating my shower doors since that has been ideal for reducing the soap scum deposits. But I’m impressed with Nuevo. Here in N. California we have such hard water....we’d have to polish the glass every time we need to apply these glass coatings. I’m not sure I want to repeatedly polish the windows to apply Rainx.
Honestly, I use Stoner hybrid ceramic rain repellent + cleaner, to clean my windshield. Then use rain-x water repellent a few times… I pair this with my Rain-X quantum elite windshield wipers, and Rain-X windshield wiper fluid.
Glass is my least favorite part of detailing. It is great to know what is easy to work with and how it performs. Now I can make an informed decision. Thanks Sandro!
I’ll stick with rain-X For the price, it still performed great! I don’t mind giving it a booster coat every 2-3 months…. and that’s all it needs. Just wash your car, and give it a quick coat and buff off. Yeah, do all the prep work for the first application, after that, just touch up coats work great.
Great video Sandro, I used Rain X years ago and could not stand the wiper chatter never been game to use a windscreen coating since. Nv Nova Glass looks good but not sure how application would go here in tropical Queensland. Thanks for taking the time to do this comparison video Cheers.
If you ever do a new one, please include Aqualpel. I have been using this for years. Ow yeah. I normally never reply to you video's but I do watch them al. Great Job!!
Agreed on Aquapel. Its greatest merit is that it lasts really long with only one coating. After 7 months, all windows show that it remains (which the company claims), and windshield still has some protection (the company says to expect 6 months there). So, it took me almost no time to add a layer to the windshield and call it a day. In fairness, it's crazy expensive per oz. But there is zero waste because of its dispenser.
I've been using Aquapel for years, and typically get 1 year (sometimes a little longer) out of one application. The stuff is amazing. Hardly ever have to use my wipers. Price of Aquapel has gone up recently (or it' can be hard to find), so I'm looking for alternatives. Thinking about trying a ceramic coating next.
Yep rain x for price and just how easy it is to apply and keep it updated as well, so much better, not saying others are better ,but cost and ease of application rain x is the best, used it way back more than 30 years ago?
One coating I would have loved to see is Gtechniq G1. I have installed that coating on many cars and never had negative feedbacks. And well CarPro FlyBy Forte... a great disapointment. Cheers!
I've been using Rain X for years and absolutely love it. I just spent 6 hours using Griot's Garage Clay Bar with their Speed Shine Lubricant, then polishing the windows with Griot's Garage Fine Glass Polish (Pinnacle Glass Polish is just as good) and then applied Rain X. I drove in my first rain storm today and can't believe how good Rain X is. For the money it's an outstanding buy. Rain X will last an extremely long time on the side and back windows. On the front window you will have to apply on average once a month. I don't care what Glass Coating you use when you put on your wiper blades on the coating won't last that long. I recommend Rain X & just apply it once a month on your front windshield. Please understand that you have to prepare the glass properly first by using a clay bar and then machine polishing thereafter. The results are so impressive. When I drove today for the first time in the rain the water didn't even stick to the side and rear windows.
Amazing as always. Some of the products I can not get in the UK but I was very interested in the rainX and think for £4 I will give that ago I do have some old Gtec but this is well over 2 years old now so may not risk it. James
RainX is fantastic for what it cost but doesn’t play too well with wipers. I use it for all windows except the front windscreen. With a good application it can easily last up to 6 months with good water repelling performance.
It's such a joy to express my satisfaction with the videos you produce. As a professional detailer, finding others that have tested the road prior to me is a real asset. And when it comes to the quality of producing one of these videos and being the number one detail that I trust, well obviously it's you. Terrific! And this test just save me a ton of time and future issues and I totally agree with you. Thanks again
You are absolutely right about the Carpro instruction mess Sandro. It is so important to do it the right way to get the best result so you need correct instructions but they make a complete mess of it. Unbelievable. Having (very) good products and destroying it with vague or wrong instructions. Recently I used their inside fog fight product and it became a complete mess. With sunlight or in the dark the windscreen became very dangerous and I had to remove the product. Again, wrong instructions? With the 2020 version of Flyby forte I got good results thanks to some good (right) instructions on TH-cam, not from their box.
RainX wins for me, the glass cleaner spray is cheap and can be used to easily top it up. Plus you can get both the coating and the 2in1 glass cleaner spray from any shop on the road - easy.
I came here searching for the next best thing beyond rain X, but as a rank amateur who used rain X from practically day one, and only cleaned with Windex, no IPA no nothing LOL, I was very impressed with its abilities. And of all things, rain X has a weird smell I really like Hahahahaha. It might not last as long but for me it's quite easy to apply so based on your evaluation, I will continue with my status quo. Thanks for the affirmation!
Very cool video Sandro, as always . I had been using AW H2GO until recently my wipers started squeaking and dragging. Which was a shame as the water behaviour was amazing. I removed it and went to Nextzett I am very happy with it. No chattering or dragging wipers. I tried the Gyeon previously and hated it. It was pain to remove like you said. I’d love to see an anti fog treatment if possible. I’ve tried the Gyeon Antifog and it was the biggest pain to remove.
I have tried q2view and very mixed results. Sure it is amazingly hydrophobic, but it is grippy and causes wiper chatter badly. When I emailed gyeon they told me to remove it from the wipers as the rubber can absorb too much. This is despite the instructions saying to and not mentioning anything about only using a tiny amount. This mostly fixed the issue on one car but not the other. I am resorting to wd40 silicone now to try and improve it. Oh and all this is in addition to causing hazing with the wipers, which are needed in light rain at lower speeds. If this is at night it caused a glare on your windscreen from passing traffic that is quite dangerous at times. In summary, I would use it again for sides, mirrors and rear despite its involved application, but never again for the windscreen. I may yet get the isopropyl out and remove it.
@@sjb2471 hi, I actually found applying a more slick one over the top like rainx helped a little. The way to fully remove would be to use a compound or even metal polish and polish with a da polisher. Remember to mask of the rubber surround if u do.
Thanks for this video, I've never used a glass coating before so this was perfect. Due to an accident the machine polishing is now out for me so will try NV Glass Lite a try. Cheers Sandro.
I've used RainX in the past, but lately, I've had more time to wash my car (so usually weekly) and just wipe the entire car down with bowdens boss gloss, or afterglow. This will usually be more than adequate for the windscreen to getgood enough beading that you don't require the wipers if its raining or you're doing 50+km/h. And seeing as its applied every weekend (at most, two weeks) it's only got to last that long. Plus, it doesn't take much time at all, seeing as the entire car is being wiped down any ways. Lazy. I guess.
I've used the Rain X and Stoner and Aquapel. In addition Seal and Shine and TW Spray Ceramic as they are also recommended. Aquapel by far the best then S&S. Rain X pain in butt and not that great. Stoner is great to use after an Aquapel or S&S application.
I used Rain x during 3 or 4 years. The proplem with this product is the lost of clarity and when the sun hit the winshield it is worst!!! Now i use Aquapel, is a bit pricy but a lot better. Cristal clear and the durability is insane!!!
Nextzett looks better on hydrophobics than NV from the footage. In saying that, I use Gyeon WetCoat as a window drying aide after each wash and that's more than enough for me.
Armor All Shield For Glass is the best. I'm doing car detailing for more than 5 years. I give my clients 1 year warranty I have used rain x water bead at 60 kilometers ArmorAll Shield water bead at 45 kilometers and last longer
Another great video from you . I always wait for such comparison in your chanel. I use Gtechniq on my cars which I found it's still best in EU market. I try 4 from your test and still G1 from Gtechniq works much better and longer. I have a lot of rainy days thrue whole year so good product makes a difference. I hope maybe next time you will use G1 from Gtechnic in your test. Anyway I'm waiting for more test from you 👍
@@aaronolsen8787 i have G1 more than 30k km in one of my car and still works. Of course twice a year I decontamine glass. I don't have any experience with NV Glass it's not available in my market
I feel you on "not bonding as it should" for a long time I've used spray waxes on my windshield as a rain repellent. They more or less worked really well but with ceramics basically nothing (spray ceramics) would bond, and if it did it was extremely hit or miss. Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic causes my older cars windshield to head very well, does nothing on my new car, it just doesn't seem to cure to the surface. Mother's CMX seems to bond to both which is what has become my go to as I'm not a big fan of it's longevity in my climate on paint so sacrificing it for the windshield is some use for it.
I've used RainX, its REALLY GOOD! Absolutely love the stuff. From what I saw in your video Rain X clearly is the best one. The water just falls off. Maybe we are seeing different things.
We must be, since I’ve always used RainX and as Sandro just demonstrated, it wears out much faster than Nova so it isn’t as good as Nova. Unless you’re on the board of directors at RainX, why support a product that isn’t the best? The fact you’ve spent years using something doesn’t mean it’s any good. Sandro makes these videos so we can learn when something better comes along. And now it has.
@@ragereset2795 LMFAO - The video shows its really good. The fact that I HAVE used it for years means its good. I wouldn't use it if water didnt bead up and fly right off the window. Despite the commentary, the RainX (1st segment on the left) beads water up quicker than the 2 in the middle. I didnt see any noticeable difference with the 1st one or the last one. But look, its YOUR shit box, so you put what ever you want on it. You probably don't get up to fast enough speeds to see the water run UP the window.
@@theenglishtrucker1849 Lol they don’t even sell my car in your country because nobody can afford to fuel a 6 litre V8. So you’re wrong on that score. You’re also wrong about me saying RainX doesn’t work; I didn’t say that. I said it wears off faster. So there’s strike 2 for you. Perhaps you’d be better off driving your fucking lorry through the constant rain instead of talking a lot of shit on TH-cam - your efforts are about as effective as your pathetic cricket team.
@@fskofNo tricks. Just keeping the windscreen & wiper blades clean on a weekly basis. I'll scrub down the wiper blades monthly with a toothbrush (this has been key in extending the life of the coating, at least for me).
Fantastic video, great content and wow the amount of detail and work you put in. Bummer on the CarPro not working out, but glad you didn't scrap the video.
Excellent analysis, as always.... I've returned to using Nextzett after experimenting with more premium brands for a while and I find Nextzett as honestly being the best all rounder, and it causes absolutely zero wiper judder for me. At €9 a bottle here in Ireland, it is amazing value also... If applying any glass sealent, it is essential to (1) deep clean the wipers with a rubber cleaner or stong APC followed by a wipe with a paint prep IPA spray and (2) lift the wipers off the windscreen while the sealant is curing...... Another excellent Nextzett product is their is Kristall Klar windscreen wash. It's super powerful, yet safe on paint and rubber seals.
Another great video Sandro mate never let us down ! Can you please do a test on Australian retail products in stores that remove TAR. For example turtle wax big and tar and autoglym tar remover and also the bowdens tatatar 🤟 thanks dude
There is an ArmorAll glass repellent as well, I tried it once it's ok but a pain to wipe off dry without streeks. I just stick with RainX, I use a folded paper towel to apply and another folded paper towel with running water to gently wipe it off.
Shocked by the flyby. Used it recently and I was impressed thinking I had the best one out there. But seeing better products at a lower price is a shocker.
Super Job! I noticed at around the 2 min mark that you chemically and physically deconned the glass without rinsing in between. Can you do this with paint as well? It would save time.
Have you tried Aquapel? yes Rainex is good but i only get a bit over a month of beading. i probably need to clay bar the windscreen then Autoglms glass polish.
Sad that most of the detailing shops in my country won't polish the windscreen, so difficult to remove watermarks and contaminants by hand before applying windscreen coatings...
I'm a Brazilian enthusiast ... This video is very good, seeing the results helps a lot when choosing which one to use. I saw that you polished the glass before applying the products, what product did you use to polish !?

Really Loved this comparison. I have used NV glass on 2 vehicles now and can't agree more with your findings. Great work Sandro.
That’s a very thorough test but people don’t use these products on glass panels in their yard, they use them on actual car windscreens. The problem I’ve always had with these products is wiper smear/hazing. It would have been really useful to know which product was the best or worst for this.
True ,need test with the wind hitting
clean your wipers!
Thank you for making this great review video Sandro. Bless you.
Well done Sandro...I have got the same issues using Carpro Forte many times...I think it's very dependent on the type of glass.
I’m not sure I want to repeatedly polish the windows to apply Rainx.
im using glaco roll on large on my panoramic roof and windscreen and rear glass and its still working after over a year
@Intan Ratmi they sometimes did not slide smoth ( i dont know how its called) but now its fine
I’ll stick with rain-X
For the price, it still performed great!
Great Job!!
My favorite!
And add in Griots glass sealant too.
Well, another Nova product I'm going to have to try.
Yep rain x for price and just how easy it is to apply and keep it updated as well, so much better, not saying others are better ,but cost and ease of application rain x is the best, used it way back more than 30 years ago?
Thanks for doing this review Sandro. Much appreciated.
One coating I would have loved to see is Gtechniq G1. I have installed that coating on many cars and never had negative feedbacks. And well CarPro FlyBy Forte... a great disapointment. Cheers!
Installed?
How do you install a liquid?
@@macallanvintage True! I have applied. Pardon my french.
RainX is junk. Once you try Aquapel 10x better.
Amazing as always. Some of the products I can not get in the UK but I was very interested in the rainX and think for £4 I will give that ago I do have some old Gtec but this is well over 2 years old now so may not risk it. James
Yes i love your videos, love from the US!!
RainX is fantastic for what it cost but doesn’t play too well with wipers. I use it for all windows except the front windscreen. With a good application it can easily last up to 6 months with good water repelling performance.
I agree. I’ve been using it for years but am moving over to carpro fly by coating for better results
RainX is not designed to be used with wipers.
Thanks again
rain X is no fuss, value for money. easy to apply and works great.
I wound up going with NextZett. I get tired of re-applying Rain-X after every rain to keep it working. For 35 clams on Amazon, it's worth it.
Which video show the right application? My two diferent applications of forte also failed..
@@walenrod17 With the 2020 version you only need to do ONE layer. th-cam.com/video/wUrO2swEBrI/w-d-xo.html
Rain X is the best all round, I've used it for years
Having NV Glass installed this weekend. 👍
Such a thorough, well thought out experiment / comparison test - thanks mate, great job.
RainX wins for me, the glass cleaner spray is cheap and can be used to easily top it up. Plus you can get both the coating and the 2in1 glass cleaner spray from any shop on the road - easy.
Love your videos so much man. Much love from England
Try using WD-40 on the wipers. Use disposable towels and give them a good clean. Like new
Been using Rain-X since my first car 22 years ago. In New England, it makes winter easier.
Did you sort this Andrew? Am having exactly the same issue with Q2 view and I can’t remove it with anything!
RainX is still one of those game changer products. Amazing results for the price.
It really was ahead of it’s time decades ago!
Awesome video as always 👌 I do love the gTechniq G1/2 glass coating, very good durability.
Fantastic video! I’ve been waiting forever for a comparison video like this!
Agree. Aquapel is awesome.
I used Rain x during 3 or 4 years. The proplem with this product is the lost of clarity and when the sun hit the winshield it is worst!!! Now i use Aquapel, is a bit pricy but a lot better. Cristal clear and the durability is insane!!!
That’s great to hear, not every product yields the same results for us all, so it’s important to find one that works for you.
Rain X is awsome. for few bucks on a not so prepped glass it sheets and beads like crazy even in storms
Nextzett looks better on hydrophobics than NV from the footage. In saying that, I use Gyeon WetCoat as a window drying aide after each wash and that's more than enough for me.
Armor All Shield For Glass is the best. I'm doing car detailing for more than 5 years. I give my clients 1 year warranty
I have used rain x water bead at 60 kilometers
ArmorAll Shield water bead at 45 kilometers and last longer
I love these videos, thanks!
I see you have the alpha on ramp. Where you giving it a maintenances wash. Great video, keep them coming.
Thanks and I’ll hopefully have an update wash on the my Alfa soon.
Brooo the intro is FIRE 🔥🔥
Another great video from you . I always wait for such comparison in your chanel.
I use Gtechniq on my cars which I found it's still best in EU market. I try 4 from your test and still G1 from Gtechniq works much better and longer. I have a lot of rainy days thrue whole year so good product makes a difference.
I hope maybe next time you will use G1 from Gtechnic in your test.
Anyway I'm waiting for more test from you 👍
Did you try NV Glass as well? I'm still debating between Gtechniq G1 and NV Glass. Might just end up trying them both.
Very Informative! Thank You!!
I like the music you chose for this video compared to others! Nice work on the editing too!
thank you so much for explaining flash 😊
Nv glass all the way. About to do a 2nd application next month. Starting to wear out. It lasted just over 3 years.
Wow! That's great to hear. I'm planning on buying NV Glass. Do you have any tricks to keep the product lasting 3 years?
@@fskofNo tricks. Just keeping the windscreen & wiper blades clean on a weekly basis. I'll scrub down the wiper blades monthly with a toothbrush (this has been key in extending the life of the coating, at least for me).
@@fskof good luck trying to find it, it's been out of stock everywhere for a while now. If you find it, let me know!
Fantastic video, great content and wow the amount of detail and work you put in. Bummer on the CarPro not working out, but glad you didn't scrap the video.
wow, just great content from you!
I apparently applied my Carpro Forte wrong too! Lasted only a week!
Love your work Sandro!! Would you recommend topping NV Glass with a sealant or ceramic spray?
Generally no, but a quick detailer is usually fine, and Nv also now has Glass Lite which is also used to maintain Nova Glass.
It's super powerful, yet safe on paint and rubber seals.
can you use Nextzett for glass polishing too?
This is a really really cool video!
I would never have thought to machine polish glass.
Great sound track Sandro
Love extreme solutions products. We need a distributor in the Uk
Good testing. I would like to see them perform on snow, ice, sleet and after mud, road grime, bug slime, tree sap, oil, and other contaminants.
i love your videos!!! keep it up!
Golden Rule of Detailing "What goes on easy comes off easy"
Shocked by the flyby. Used it recently and I was impressed thinking I had the best one out there. But seeing better products at a lower price is a shocker.
I use these on my motorcycle helmet screen.
Me too!
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing you can also use it for your shower, if it has glass.
Thank you for the information 👍👍
Been using rain x for almost 40 years. For the price, you can’t beat rain x. The water seem to fly off faster than the other 5 products tested.
I use rainx all day. Now fena try that Nv Nova
great shots from underneath - another classy vid
I think I'll just stick to aquapel... Can buy 6 for like 45 bucks and it will last 5-6 months and super easy to apply
Super Job! I noticed at around the 2 min mark that you chemically and physically deconned the glass without rinsing in between. Can you do this with paint as well? It would save time.
Thanks, and yes Nv Clarity is both a chemical decontamination product and clay lube so you can combine both steps.
Have you tried Aquapel? yes Rainex is good but i only get a bit over a month of beading. i probably need to clay bar the windscreen then Autoglms glass polish.
No I haven’t tried it, and never seen it here locally but I’ll keep it in mind.
Thank you so much Sandro
I just use turtle wax seal and shine and it works a treat
you should so make the section of video testing the glass, embed some pink floyd music in the background :D
I believe I used Nv Finesse polish with a microfibre pad to polish the glass, but you can really use any paint polish or compound and pad 🙂
