I've been a father almost as long as this story has existed. I remember it coming out. I've gone over it through the years, whether I was reading it, talking about it, or watching YT videos about it. The punch to the gut I feel from it hits harder every time.

Have you tried Progressive Relaxation? It's an excellent technique to help with sleep issues. Sit in a comfortable position, close your eyes, breath deeply in through your nose and out through your mouth. Focus on your breathing. When you get a good rhythm going, take a deep breath and hold it in. While you're holding the breath, tense your feet. Exhale and release the tension. On the next breath, tense your feet and your legs. Exhale and release. Work your way up from your feet until there's tension head to toe. Exhale and release. Hope that helps.
Pro tip man even if you can't fall asleep, just lie down in a resting position and close your eyes, maybe put on TV or something in the background at low volume. Even if you're not actually asleep, you'll be resting. Just make sure not to look at any screens, it makes it worse

I can agree that it's definitely one of the greatest twists in comics. But I would not go as far as saying it's the best Joker story ever! The 3 Jokers was a better overall story.

This story reminds me the 3-issue arch of Darkman (movie adaptation), intriguing, interesting, and ultimately scary, with a sudden ending, bizarre. These type of comics where characters have broken minds, beyond redemption, beyond "love can heal anything", have its charm. By the way, for those who don't know, the 3 issues of Knight of Vengeance were reprinted a couple of years ago in one single special, which is cool, to have the chance to afford it and read it. The art has lots of callbacks to The Dark Knight Returns by Miller, Janson, and Varley.
The part where she stretches her neck out and says "I want a world without YOU!" always looked so funny to me. She looked like a bratty kids head on a rubber chickens neck... Anyways, I've always loved the Flashpoint universe. And the Thomas/Martha Wayne versions might be my most favorite parts of it-- Was introduced from the movie, but always stayed from your comic readings. As my favorite"Superhero" would say, "Aw, bollocks... Cheers, mate."
For me, it may be not only the best Joker story, but the best Else World story.

I LOVE "Joker" by Azzarello/Bermejo, but for the longest time I thought johnny became a joker at the end. You should comics explain to me why I'm wrong, even though the answer is almost invariably "because the Joker is crazy"
Azzarello's Joker is so terrifying. Just an absolute beast of a person. Very good writing. Id definitely watch it. This flash point is nice but a far as the best joker ever as Martha Wayne, I dunno.

Rob fails to give you all the full context, so I will. Spoilers if you haven't finished the video.
1. Joker is Martha and is described as a child killer. But not once did she kill anyone. No child nor that guy who took the joker toxin. He was still alive.
2. Martha wasn't so far gone to not return to sanity. She went back to the joker because she understood Bruce becomes Batman.
3. To clarify number 2, the Batman she knows is her husband who isn't just a killer, but a murderer. She falls back to the joker because her understanding was that sacrificing herself and husband to save Bruce, would turn him into a murderer, an worse than "bad day" joke. Nihilism doesn't even comprehend the irony of this, considering Bruce has never killed, and even though he acts as a playboy, isn't and even helps Gotham at his own sacrifice. Even orphans. This is a "jokes on you" Martha insanity.
4. The "joke" of Gordon is Batman never killed the joker, but even though he doesn't trust him, relying on his tactics was his folly.
5. Martha is the part of Bruce that doesn't kill. Thomas is the part of Bruce that sacrifices. Bruce gave up his outside live to be Batman like Thomas, while still having trauma like Martha.

I saw the animated movie before I read the comic, so the big twist was more or less "spoiled" on this one. Not that I mind. I love the way it's done in both the movie and the comics. I really wish there was more to explore with the Flashpoint paradox universe. I want to see more than just a letter to Bruce. Some closure for Thomas... Some hope for their future... Something... But that lack of hope and that lack of a future is what made the Paradox Universe so enticing, so unless it's done flawlessly; It could ruin the story as a whole in a big way.
Read "The Button" and "Flashpoint Beyond".
Pretty sure in the omni, you dont find out it all happened cuz he saved his mom until the last 30 pages of a 1500 page book.
Its very confusing at first but apparentpy they wanted the reader to be as confused as the protagonist, flash.

I have been binging your stuff in the last few day and the production value and editing skills you bring along with your story telling is AMAZING. It never occurred to me the time you spend reading these comics, putting them together with others that are involved in the same events then serving them to us in an entertaining way. Thank you Rob for bringing us such great content and I am serious that any aspiring screenwriters out there NEED to produce a Watchers movie where you are the lead!
