- Heather Morgan and Ilya Lichtenstein, both in their early 30s, lived in an expensive apartment in New York City that was full of colourful DIY projects and souvenirs collected from around the world. They both worked in tech and had a particular interest in crypto, Bitcoin and digital marketing. Heather, AKA Razzlekhan AKA The Crocodile of Wall Street, was also a rapper and TH-camr. In early 2022, federal agents raided the eccentric couple's apartment, and a month later, Heather and Ilya were arrested. 94,000 stolen Bitcoin, worth 3.6 billion US dollars, were recovered by the US government, making it the largest financial seizure in US history.

Baffles me how people steal SO MUCh then live large and expect not to get caught. They could've lived simple lives and never been caught.
Probably the last thing an intelligent criminal would do is put a giant label reading "burner phone" on your burner phone. These people were morons who probably never thought that far ahead.
People willing to steal to get rich want to be rich, they do t care about the money. They are narcissists who want the attention and shallow admiration money brings. Anyone who wants to get rich or famous at all costs, run. 50/50 they end up arrested for murder at some point. It attracts a horrible type of person.
