Oh well, the Bitcoiners wanted the whole crypto thing to be beyond the reach of the so-called 'authorities' whether it be regarding taxes, regulation, payment, sanctions evasion, etc. Funny, eh, how when they lose money suddenly they want the 'authorities' to step and bring someone to justice.
Underrated comment.. 👌
The first picture in Google Images when you look up 'self-contradictory' should be a cryptobro.
This is a really important point.
my thoughts exactly
but muh fiat!?!
America is currently plagued by the hydra-headed evil duo of inflation and recession. The worst part about this recession is that consumers are racking up credit card debt. In April last year alone, credit card debt went up 20% while rates have doubled in a year. Inflation is so high that consumers are literally taking debt for basic life necessities. Collapse has indeed begun.
Collapse is generous 1st time in our history with a full generation that wasn't taught financial literacy, civics, Google fixes their problems if their parents don't do it for them. Reckoning for participation trophies is incoming.

Yes. Sometimes it is to help family members yet even the sacrifice is treated as nothing more than an entitlement. Still trying to crawl out of this pit of debt. Yet the property taxes and the insurance companies and the vendors that decide the appraisal goes free and yet I can’t sell my property for what it is appraised for
@@simonbad I disagree. Gen Z is more financially, socially and emotionally literate than any preceding generation throughout human history. It’s interesting that even when it comes modern, digital currency, the old crime adage is still true:
“Robbing a bank is easy. It’s getting away with it that’s tough.”
I truly believe all the big banks have a hand on this bit coin thingy or they trying so hard to control it
but iwth robbing a bank, once u get away, ur free to use teh $$$ and is harder to track, with digital like bit coin, they can track exactly with teh money is, just dotn know whosing using it
@@yia01 People spending lots of money they shouldn't have in the first place is a big clue to the police that something's fishy. That's how authorities have caught all sorts of thieves in history, whether bank robbers or people involved in government corruption.
And more often than not, these same people tend to spend a lot of it at once on expensive stuff, from cars, to luxuries, to jewelry, etc. After all, what's the point of having all that cash if you don't ever spend it?
@@yia01 most banks nowadays don’t have loads of cash sitting in a vault nowadays and the small amount they have is usually accounted for with the serial numbers. They can just wait til they find a stolen note go into circulation with a purchase and go from there

Yeah. Seems a little too clear cut imo
Well . . . If I was looking for a way to get away with a giant Bitcoin theft, I would probably seek out some not very bright couple who lack self awareness, make public fools of themselves by making talentless music videos in poor taste, and have given seminars that sound like they border on advocating criminal behaviour anyway. Then I would move all that money through their accounts, taking the sum I’d set out to keep for myself whilst letting the authorities recover 4 or 5 times that amount, so they would stop looking for me.
Having said that, they could be brighter than they seem? Look at the types of people that get to run countries these days? Most of the world’s most powerful people are idiots . . . And nearly all of them are obvious crooks.
Make sure to get a custom license plate in your name, leave a camera with your pictures in the bank
*_Haha, that was the funniest thing ever. I think those last two pieces of evidence were planted by the FBI, because who names their tools for crime?_*
Stealing $4.5B is like walking around with hard-on - you can try your best to cover it up, but people are gonna notice.

True to a point. Billionaires in the other hand get away with it all the time, but I suppose people notice, they just can't do much about it in the broken two party system.

Either the cert authorities or cloud provider are willing to sell private keys to govt agents. Probably both.
Do you mean the file on the cloud that had all the crypto keys? I wasn't sure if they found the file first and identified them after they discovered the contents, or if they had already been investigating them and were sorting through specific files on cloud accounts connected to them.

It's hilarious that people keep noting money laundering does not happen with the digital currencies... Looking at this story just verified how viable using digital currencies is for another route to do the crime.
This is also why I'm just a little skeptical at the current environment of digital currencies right now. Just so much incredible speculation without verified use cases for such a technology. I get the vision I just don't get the execution with it. Everyone is trying to into this with a "investment" mindset rather than a utility mindset which was the original case that Bitcoin was intended to solve.
Lol what? I've never seen anyone suggest money laundering doesn't happen with digital currencies, it's usually the exact opposite.
They were just full of themselves, too busy making bad rap, lazy and/or stupid…
Well, you’re late to the party… but Vitalek #Buterin is a genius, honest, and has a well thought out coin $ETH
Buying crypto is not a bad thing. Stealing is.
@@Rootkit_69 stealing anything is bad. My problem is that the governments refuse to regulate and admit digital coins exist. They should be adapting the technology into the current monetary system to make it fair for everyone instead they decide to pump out trillions in an effort to screw over millions of people and serve the few. Digital coins have the opposite problem now with early buyers trying to advertising like nuts to inflate a store of literal digital 1's and 0's.
A true fair monetary system should only pump in money that is connected to the measured population at hand and remove the excess money when a "shortage" happens. Right now it's pretty obvious in USA that there is way too much money in the system with people just buying anything from GPU's, cars, houses and heck even NFT's which is literally just a digital image usually. Grifters are just having a field day in this age because it's easy to advertise shit with the technology we have in this day and age.
Great episode, what a story! This should be a feature length documentary.
Indeed. And it should include a part where North Koreans torture prisoners with her rapping.
Your approach and job telling is GENUINE and your establishing yourself as a one of a kind communicator that i believes few have ever seen on this platform. And I think your definitely succeeded in making sense of it to the work. Keep up the good work sir
Theres something similar with these 2, bernie madoff, sbf, etc.
They all look very similar
man, love your content, truly inspiring.
This story make me believe that Satoshi Nakamoto is actually hiding in plain sight. He is still active in blockchain development, but in his real identity.
The creators of Bitcoin were a group of people using that name. Not just one person.
@@kovy689 lol. nobody knows
@@ergonaut940 We don’t know all the members, sure, but it’s been known to be a group.
@@kovy689 almost nobody believes it's a group. Impossible to know.
@@ergonaut940 Except it’s already been theorized by analysts. You’re just late to the game.
Looking at the thumbnail i was like for one second: was has selenski to do with this 🤣🤣
This world would eat itself whole over the pursuit of wealth.
Soo you're telling me this elaborate couple stole $4.5B worth of Bitcoins while having a bag labelled "Burner Phones". Really?
lots of things don't add up, the real criminals are still out there.
