Wow. This whole video speaks to me. I sat and thought about what you said for a few hours before writing this comment but I think you should know that not only does your art work inspire but you do too. I recently came through a very long rough patch in my life. Now my life is completely different from what it was and the future I had envisioned is gone and it ain’t coming back. I used to be confident, outgoing and adventurous. That’s gone too, much to my chagrin. I find myself stuck and sometimes unwilling to even leave my home. I sometimes spend my days wishing my life was as it used to be. I procrastinate about everything and have become extremely passive aggressive. Listening to this video and looking at your painting has actually inspired me. I’ve spent the last few years thinking and speaking very negatively about myself. I don’t put myself out there any more. It is time I got off the self pity wagon and started living again. It probably won’t be easy but you’re right, I’m the only one who can let myself out of this jail cell I’ve put myself into and the only one who can tell that jailer to shut the f*!k up. So here’s to starting over. Thank you.
Lydia, I must say I’m very happy I stumbled upon your TH-cam channel. It’s nice to see that I’m not alone with those inner thoughts or feelings. Your a inspection. I too discovered that the cool way to deal with negative comments, is to meet the commentor with understanding and love. Who knows what sort of day or life they are having. Sending love in their direction may just help them get through the stuff they are dealing with ♥️
U are so right in saying that it was the other persons problem. I find ur personality refreshing, honest and very relatable. I like the no nonsense, no BS approach, it is a rare thing these days. As far as the troll is concerned, I believe I speak for most of your subscribers and agree with you, its totally a "their" problem, she/he wouldn't have the courage to start something like this and put themselves at risk of trolls like themselves. Also and on another note you quoted Shawshank! My favorite story of all time... Red's last words were "I hope"... Beautiful huh? It's amazing how a scary writer like Steven King could write something so simple yet so poinient and indeed beautiful... "I hope" it means everything...

She is a part of you and made you to who you are. I have one, too. And she sometimes is pretty annoying...BUT I don't fight her anymore. The fight costs to much energie...I just reconice her and leave her mostly alone but talk to her as well...she goes away, its just temporarly. It sounds not crazy to me! You are a great artist and I like your personality, and this videos message.. sadly it's something everyone deals with to a degree, and one of the hardest things for people to do is truthfully reflect on themselves. It gets even worse when people turn that prison of insecurity in to blame on others. Been there done that on both sides of the fence. The opposite of love is fear.

The image is disturbing, but it’s that way because you want us to think. I’m thinking now! I really like your personality. If I did not, I wouldn’t watch, listen and think. I am naturally honest (blunt) but I would never write an ad hominem comment. Wait, I did once tell a TH-camr she was despicable for goading her subscribers into wielding torches and pitchforks against negative comments on her channel. I think she needed to command an army of angry villagers in order to feel better. I read every comment re that video and did not find the negative one. 💜💜💜 This IS NOT about you. You are NOT despicable. In your story, you behaved admirably. You wouldn’t let a stranger tear you down because you are self-aware and self-confident. You’re okay. I like you. 🥰🥰🥰

I gotta be honest I don't want everyone in the world to like me, either. There are a lot of people I do not like, I wouldn't want to be a blip on their radar. But I wouldn't seek to hurt them though. Sorry this person didn't think of that before commenting.
I was watching you paint and was really wanting to give this a go myself (getting some monochrome portrait practice in) and then was thinking.. hmm..not going to get that blend as you are clearly using oils & I have acrylics and then you said it was acrylics and my jaw hit the floor. You have so much talent - you really do.
Thank you! I appreciate that.😊 Also, golden open acrylics are the best for blending. Slower drying and work more like oils. I highly recommended!
My jailer keeps telling me no one is interested in what I have to share, so although I started a TH-cam channel and Patreon and all that, my jailer says I have no following (I got 14 followers so the jailer lies) and no interest so I should give up. Fighting that voice is a constant struggle. Thanks for posting this video because as artists I think we all struggle with that.

i love your art but I guess i have to not watch your channel or turn off the volume. lol i was watching a few of them and they all seemed to be talking about a migraine in them and by the end of the night i had one myself....
Their aren't any paintings of yours I don't like, some more than others but this I like the most. I will show my 14yr old daughter this video (a budding graphic artist) but holds herself back. It may give her something to ponder.
