I finally had to get out of my own way and do an art room makeover!
It was a disaster area and in need of some TLC. So, I put on my DIY hat (the invisible one you can't see in the video) and got to it.
I finally have an aesthetically pleasing room that I can paint in without tripping over anything and seriously injuring myself (dramatic exhale).

Late to the party I know, but that looks amazing😬. I was oil painting in a 6’ x 7’ room and it drove me nuts, forever trying to move things and magic more space 🤦🏼♀️I paint in my garage now and I still fill it up and make an absolute mess, there is no winning for me. 😂😂😂

Nice transformation. Nice colour, though for myself I'd need a lighter colour to paint against - that colour may affect the colour of your paintings. And I was hoping to see the reveal of your closet organization too! It looks comfy and cozy, and I look forward to seeing you paint your next painting in it! Enjoy the products of your hard work!
Thank you! The room is cozy! It works best for smaller paintings because it's so small lol. It's great painting in there during the winter as it's the warmest room in the house. This time of year I have to paint in the big room with ceiling fans and open windows. 😁 I do agree about the color. I was thinking about painting one wall lighter.😉
@Lydia Broderick Art Nice to have a cozy room tobwork in in winter but be able to paint in another room when the weatger is warm (and for bigger paintings). Yeah one wall lighter would help. Enjoy! Happy painting!🎨🖌

Is the studio umbrella lighting used to cut out glare?
The umbrella lighting cuts out glare and is easier on my eyes. It softens the light especially in a room that small!😄

It's a complete disaster area again! Looks like a bomb went off in there right now!😄 I'm way more proficient at making a mess than maintaining order.
I know you did this some time ago...but I just watched it again. It gives me hope that I can organize my own shit hole. 😉
I find that the organization is somewhat fleeting.😂 Within a week I already had spray paint splatter on my freshly painted walls and art debris everywhere.
Fantastic space but it won't stay tidy for very long 😕
