Making an Acrylic Pour into an Autumn Inspired Painting!

- It's September in New England! Which of course means Fall's a comin' people! The weather unfortunately, does not agree. Evidently the nation's weather pattern has yet to receive the autumn weather memo. But... that's not stopping me from creating an autumn inspired painting in the hopes of manifesting some less sweaty weather! So, here it is!!!

I don't know how to visualise a woman's face into an acrylic poured canvas - which I thought was already great on it's own - but somehow it's like she was always there. This is definitely in my top favourites of your artworks.
I love your art and I appreciate how detailed you are in showing us all the techniques you use.
I can NOT believe that you don't have thousands more subscribers! Your are is just amazing! I've been wanting to do some more abstract realism mixed media work, but I struggle with the abstract part. Love the embellished pours, still love doing them now and then. My daughter loves all reptiles so it tends to be Iguanas, etc 😁 but the odd elephant, mother and child as well. Just finished a large embellished prophetic pour, loved the process ❤.
Love the theme, wishing for autumn right now, humidity and heat is horrendous, having heatwaves in South Africa, Gauteng right now... Beautiful painting as always Lydia , mood, colours and design👌🏻🎨💜

I have so many pours sitting around the basement - now I shall try the LB verision😅. I am no where as good as you are drawing though 😢. And I have never used oils, and wouldn’t know where to start😂. SOOO I continue to watch you in awe ❤

Thank you! I use oils because they dry slower and give me more working time.😊
When you do your pours, do you use flotroll to mix the paint?
This one was just acrylics mixed with water. No floetrol. I used floetrol in later pours.😊
I did a couple of acrylic pours and am having trouble because I get waves. What can I do to make it smoother?
Hi Carol, the paint may be too thick. You could try adding a little more water or some floetrol.
Do you sell any of your paintings online? If so where?
