I`m soooooo lucky. The huge dragon that comes with my latest the AoS Stormbringer magazine bundle (premium subscription) is... well, it`s a blue dragon, and looks amazing. But oh my goodness, your one looks simply awesome. I`m just lucky that I have a facsimile piece that will stand in just fine.. otherwise I`d just HAVE to find the real deal :-)
That subscription looks awesome…I just had to look it up! 🤩 I’ve only been collecting the WizKids minis the last couple of years, but I absolutely love that have we so many options now (especially with 3D printers) that makes it even easier to get the minis we want. Good review. Not looking forward to One D&D as I just got back into into D&D 5e just over a year and a half ago after taking a break from D&D for 2 decades jumping from Advanced D&D 2nd Edition to 5e. Yep, I am from the THAC0 era (To Hit Armor Class Zero - that old). Played D&D starting in 1982 as a Teenager. Joined the Army and when I moved back stateside from Germany the box that had all my D&D stuff never made it. Since I was married with kids did not have time...Though now as a Grandpa my Grandkids expressed a desire to play so I have been building back up my D&D inventory. So depending on how they want to continue will depend if I consider going in to One D&D otherwise I will continue building up 5e inventory and forgo One D&D. I did play a little 3.5 and Pathfinder but not much.
Thanks so much 😀 I as well used to play back in the 80’s with the Advanced D&D for just a little bit, but then my parents were a little worried so we got the Palladium RPG TMNT and other strangeness (which was awesome and actually more violent and brutal lol). In my early 20’s I picked up D&D 3rd edition (which was awesome) but work was my life at the time so I couldn’t actually play. Now 2 decades later…the pandemic was the catalyst for me to want to roleplay again and 5e was perfect to get back into it. Little did I know my entire life would change and now I’m super obsessed making it my full time job!! I’m happy to hear your grandkids inspired you to get back into D&D and also it’s cool to hear your like-minded passion using the minis and terrain. I’m not sure what One D&D will truly bring, I just know more and more will see the value of using the minis. Let’s see how well Wizards of the Coast handles this new system.
@@darliniansdungeon Like experience. In the 80's I got the basic and expert rules for my 11th Birthday as I was an avid Tolkien reader. I mention D&D to my Mom how it was a game that I could play out the Hobbit and the Lord of The Rings and she bought it for my b-day present. About 4 months later she took it away because of some bad publicity it got on Christian television - I think if I recall correctly the 700 club. I was hooked on the game, rebelled and secretary re-purchased it from Barrows Books store and always played at a friends house - that demon game. Looking back its nothing compared to some of the video games out there - in reality D&D is rated PG compared to Grand Theft Auto or other video games. 🙂

I remember the panic…glad you found a way to play😎 I can recall my brother telling me before we played the first time that some people had lost their minds playing and killed their parents. Even I was like “oh shit” as a 10 year old and was a little freaked out lol. Don’t forget that Tom Hanks movie Mazes and Monsters. Crazy to think how paranoid it made the parents back then…and now D&D is being recommended by psychologists to bring families together! I didn’t realize the positive social skills acquired by playing it until I saw multiple Ted Talks episodes on it recently (I recommend watching ‘Raised by dragons’).

Me too!! And only as of getting back into D&D 3 years ago. Literally the minis got me to play again after 20 years and I couldn’t be happier!! In the process of making the few dragon vids I’ve learned soooo much about them it’s crazy. I’ll be unboxing the rest of the chromatic and metallic dragons this year (already purchased them but waiting to make lair vids for them). Thanks so much for watching!! ✌🏻😀
@@darliniansdungeon you know the best part is dragons are no longer forced to be good or evil based on color. Fizban made it so they can be any alignment like it should have been since they are intelligent and can choose their own path.

@@darliniansdungeon in my current campaign i play at a local store on Friday. Im bonded to a real female red dragon. She just reached medium size. She is very heavy/over weight and chonky! She loves to eat. I do love her. She is a very beautiful red dragon.
