They should really do a gargantuan series not just for dragons but everything that gets that big, tarrasque, dragon turtle, roc etc etc. but love the content keep it coming I just pre ordered both the dracoliches anddddd I’m gonna go ahead and preorder this guy too

Hey Goblin! I bought the Hall of the Orc King and the Frost Giant boxes from Steamforge you showed us a while back. Thanks for the kick ass reviews you give us and your review showed me I needed those box sets! I'll be getting the rest of them cause the minis are of high quality. Thanks for showing me this one cause I've got to get the Adult Dragon Chromatic series. These Adult dragons don't suffer from the old, crappy paint jobs. These are really nice for pre painted. The older series of pre painted were not up to the standards that I paint myself so I could not justify putting them on my gaming table. That has changed recently and I'll be getting these for larger dragons. Again, thanks for the uploads my friend. I can't wait to see the next boxes from SteamForged Epic Encounters. It appears to be a Yuan Ti and large snake box mix I'm guessing. Good stuff!

One thing I always loved the most in my old 2nd ed monster manual was reading the habitat/society and ecology sections on the various monsters ( especially the dragons and the giants), it always had cool little tidbits of info on how the creatures typically acted in the world, what they liked,what they eat, etc. Watching your videos always reminds me of those sections.
I really love how they have mostly kept the iconic look as well on most of them, the goldies need a change though IMO
Great video as always. I agree maybe they are releasing the dragons a tad too fast, I still don't even have the Adult White here in Europe... but now I have preordered the others too, still likely we will get them only months later.
Great paint on this one, the blue touched up with light green and cyan and purple makes for a very cool final composition. I like that he seems to have scars over the eyes too!
One curious thing I noticed that apart from the Adult White, none of the other Adult Dragons have pupils... kinda feel they should have them. It's only very old Metallic Dragons who lose their pupils as their eyes turn into pure metal-colored orbs as they age.
Btw, not sure if you seen the news on Minisgallery as Poh (Patrick from Wizkids) posted some important news on the Arveiaturace issues, explaining what happened and that people can ask for a replacement come June. Maybe you could do a comparison, if you have an unpainted/barely painted release as well as the preview figure you got? Or just a quick info video. Lots of people watch your channel and it would be useful info to those who don't visit the forums but bought the mini.

Love all the dragons. A new Tiamat/Bahamut makes me question what to do with my original ones. I would like to see a dragon with its wings folded up, just for a different pose. Love that we have some that are not in flight.
Whenever I get a new, better version of a mini, I repaint the original into a stone statue. Makes for great foreshadowing and some lovely centrepieces for dungeons

In D&D I use pathfinder styled blue dragons as a more good or friendlier subspecies of Blue Dragon

I actually wish to get unpainted large dragons so I can put my brushes to work, but starting to doubt this is gonna happen :/
I haven't heard anything yet, but many other premium sets eventually came unpainted. It may take awhile though. -Theo

Okey i am jus gonna ramble a bit here.
But my guess is that the next Ancient miniature is tied to a Neverwinter Based adventure since the other to big cities along the sword coast have already been featured and my guess is that they are using names dragons. So i looked and the ancient that are near are:
For Red Klauth "Old snarl" don't really think they will do him but its an option same for Balagos.
For Blue Olothonthor but it would make more sense if they did Lymrith idk why i just feel that way since she had such a big part in the SKT campaign.
For green Claugiyliamatar "Old Gnawbones" who is based in Kryptgarden and featured in the SKT campaign and she has a history with trying to influence the city.
And for black Voaraghamanthar would make the most sense since he had some shine in the HOTDQ campaign and is vested into The Mere of Dead Man where Dagult Neverember desperately tries to rebuild the high road. This is my biggest guess becaus i think they'll follow the same order as they did with the Adult dragons. But i could be wrong.
Don't quote me on this! This is just fun speculating and i an really excited for what Wizkids will bring into the future!

Voaraghamanthar is referred as an Adult Black Dragon in HOTDQ bu as an Ancient Black Dragon in STK... one of them should be right unless the small time difference was when they aged enought to become an Ancient... i do not own the new Tyranny of Dragons book that was released in 2019 maybe there it has been changed? idk...
Nevermind that comment i asked Ed Greenwood says he is an Ancient so everything checks out!
This would have been great for my Storm Kings game if my party didn't TPK in Starvold, last night. :'(
Lets hope they continue with the Ancient chromatics before they start dipping too far into the Adult metalics. I just have too big of a fear that Adult brass, bronze, and copper dragons wont sell as well and the line would be canceled before we get all the stuff we really want.
My guess is that Ancient and Adult are considered two different lines by WizKids, and they're not going to judge one based on the sales of another.

I was hoping this one would have a more dynamic pose. It looks to close to the black dragons and that's a little disappointing, but it's still a really nice mini.

Are these available in other regions? Here in Europe I’ve only seen the Sapphire Dragon. Still waiting on the rest...
The adult black is available in a few online stores where I live (Poland), but you can order the new dragons directly from WizKids - shipping rates are pretty ok (around $20), as opposed to Miniature Market, which is my usual online shop for minis, but their shipping fees for the big boxes these dragons come in are insane. Last I checked, it was like $62 for the dragon, $75 for shipping.

Yeah, I'm sorry, I don't have any additional info about international releases. I just know that Wizkids had a somewhat limited reach for now, but they're hoping to expand over time. -Theo
@@TheGallantGoblin Thanks for the response, Wizkids do ship here to Ireland. However I like to support FLGS where possible but nowhere seems to have gotten anything past the Sapphire Dragon.

Still hard for me to get past the oversized base. Amazing sculpt but I will play this as an Ancient. I just hate the overlap for minis that are in melee range having to sit half on/off it.

This is a miniature I pre-ordered on MiniatureMarket, then a week later requested a refund. Why? This one seems smaller and the paint looks quite sloppy in my opinion. I'm sure it's great for other people, but it's not my cup of tea. A great review for a figure that is pretty cool.

After watching this video review I decided to pull the trigger and bought a blue and a red. These figures look is so amazing but the blue dragons paint job is garbage. Its missing the yellow layer that defines all the spikes and wings and fins on his back, and its over highlighted so it looks frosted, the only good painted detail is the head. The wings look very poor and the wing fingers blend with the wing making it look cheap and NOT worth $70 bones.
The red dragons paint job actually looks acceptable and is very close to the video version, but there are large gaps in between where the wings connect to the body, and the wings are abnormally fat instead of a thin layer where the wing membrain is. It is very bulky and thick as if the sculptor forgot to thin it out. To be honest its quite a bit disapointing to me. I ordered a second blue dragon hoping that the first was just a fluke but it's exactly the same as the first, except the wings are not attached to the body as seamless as the first one. Ill be looking into commissioning a professional paint job for the blue. Not sure what could be done for the red's ridiculously top heavy wings though.

Bro.... Most of your video is promotion, tune that stuff down.
We try to make the videos as viewer-friendly as possible by placing the promotions at the end and choosing to work with sponsors who have products we think are interesting for viewers. The promotions are generally the same length for any video we do while the videos are as long as they need to be to convey all the information we're able to put together. Sometimes that means the promotions take up more of the video, but it's not at the expense of any content and are clearly indicated in the timestamps. We'd love to not need sponsors (and as the guy who captions all the videos manually, I'd love to have less work per video), but running the channel takes a lot of time and money. Yeah I usually hate dealing with TH-cam ads, only to have to deal with ads in the videos themselves, and down vote such content, but at least in this channel's case, since they ad at the end, I just stop watching at that point; no harm done.
Damn horrible paint work, its like they just dipped it in thick paint pot and let it dry there, i will never pay 80 euros from this kind of crap miniature, i will wate the unpainted one. Also wizkids should sell these whitout that thick base paint.
