  • If you're new to collecting minis or are about to play the Wild Beyond the Witchlight campaign, these upcoming 2D minis from WizKids are worth looking at.
I've had some feedback on Instagram questioning why 2D minis have any value. If that's how you feel, I'd like to offer you my perspective.
Preorder at www.dndmini.com or pick them up at your favorite game store once released!
And for the folks who will undoubtedly want to know, the trees with canopies are from Monster Fight Club. They make the absolute best, ready-to-play trees you can get. Visit www.monsterfig... to learn more.
Thanks for watching. Follow me on Instagram @InkdMage for extra XP!

Very much appreciate your take on this. While I collect lots of 3D terrain, I've always struggled with buying lots 3D minis. I've always thought 2D minis combined with 3D terrain would be a great combo.

These are great. I have about a third as many 3d minis as you and don't have nearly as much space. So I switched to pathfinder pawns and have about 1000 of those and buy the really cool 3d minis such as dragons now. In addition to what you said about 2d minis I would like to add that they are perfect for RPGs in that most are only around for one encounter and then never see a table again. Plus, players just do not care generally as long as they know what is what. I've used rad tabletop wargame minis and custom 3d terrain and get a little bit more wows then if I use 2d tokens.

You can with a bit of elbow grease make your own 2D miniatures for dirt cheap but it does take some effort.
