i have a feeling phantom was made as a counter for noise maker. its an obvious loss once u kill the noisemaker cuz if u run away from the body, they'll know its u, and if you stay on the body, they'll also know its u
Unless you report it after a few seconds, acting as if your were close by and walked over and reported it and the imposter got away, though it wouldn't really work if the others were all in a group (I dont think they would kill in the first place if everyone was in a big group anyways)
I found Tracker interesting! With it, you can monitor another person from afar to see if they are safe or to see if they are acting in a very suspicious way!

i think a role called security could work there little gimmick would be is that they can view cams any time if it’s really good they can have its nerf be like scientist that they haven to task to recharge the tablet

For example. add a sign that says FREE CREWMATES AT STORAGE! Propturner: Turn yourself into a prop. The impostor cannot kill you if you are a prop. Has a cooldown. Impostors: Trapper: Trap other crewmates in a bear trap. You can kill them if they are stunned. Exploder: Exploding yourself can kill 2/4 crewmates. You will respawn tho. Taunter: Taunt crewmates with sounds. With a trapper. Its even easier. Ghosts: Respawner: if you died. you can have another chance. But if you die again. you can no longer respawn. Teller: use chat to send a message to the crewmates. they will know who is the impostor. Bored Cat: Being bored as a ghost? you can finally do any task! including your favorites. can be UNLIMITED! This has a few problems. 1. The Distractor is too obvious with the signs. 2. The Teller is basically not special cuz everyone can do that. 3. This isn't prophunt with the Propturner. 4. The Taunter should be called Siren instead. You know, the mermaid ones, since they do the exact same thing.
New impostor role: Magician Magician: The Magician temporarily hides a dead body. How to use Magician: Kill a player / be next to a corpse, then there’s a button saying “Hide”. If you click on it, the dead body gets an animation before it disappears like a phantom, and is temporarily hidden from crewmate’s vision. But it’ll eventually reappear with the reverse animation
