I am shocked Nintendo never tried to make this a 3D animated series. I think the children would love it and us long time Pikmin fans who have kids.

With the success of the Super Mario Bros movie, I really, really hope that Pikmin will be made into a feature length film. They could be the more charming version of the minions in a way. And if Nintendo sticks with Illumination, they would have experience animating little creatures that speak gibberish and get into antics with one another.
A cool fun fact about these shorts is that Miyamoto storyboarded them using Flipnote Studios

I'd pay a premium for a Pikmin movie. Just an hour of this would be amazing.

The white Pikmin practically cursing out the others has to be one of my favorite parts lol
I love how with the censoring of the bulborb it’s implied that the pikmin did something so gruesome that it had to be bleeped out

Love the detail of the frantic whistling as the backho collapses. Nearly every pikmin player has had that moment

The reason its price is 10000000000 and 7 coins is because the crane itself is 10000000000, but in the game a bulblorb (mushroom monster) is worth 7 coins. Nice little detail.
This a great animated short, but I didn't expect them to have several brutal Pikmin deaths in it! I know it's part of the game, but seeing each of the Pikmin's individual personality in an animated short makes the deaths that much more shocking! (literally in one of the deaths)
