Simple float fishing for silverfish / roach

Lake Geneva in Switzerland is Europe's largest lake and in this video I captured a relaxing session catching roach on a calm summer's morning. I cycled to the mark so kept everything simple, using only maggots as bait on a very basic float set up, using a Shimano STC Travel Spinning rod which can be either 7ft or 8ft. On this occasion I used it in the 8ft configuration. Line was 5 pound (about 2.4 kg) monofilament straight through and I used small wormer style hooks with the barb crushed. Normally I would catch a lot of perch, but it was all roach today, and a bonus bleak! I hope you enjoy the session and please drop a Like and subscribe if you enjoyed this video.

Thanks, it's a lovely spot, and the lake holds many other species, including large lake trout - but it was all roach on this day.

if I can give you advice, feed the place where you fish with a float, and contact me if you want me to send you a picture or a video of the best float system that we use here in Serbia and we successfully fish for bream, roach, carp, crucian carp
