- The bagman cometh one way or another and one apparently worked to wrest away a current Michigan Wolverines starter from Ann Arbor. According to The Athletic, another school attempted to coerce a player from the maize and blue to transfer to their institution for $1.75 million. We discuss the ramifications, the good and bad news behind all of that as well as name, image, and likeness in the current world of unfettered college football free agency.
Then, Washington wide receiver Jalen McMillan said that Mike Sainristil is the best player he ever went up against in college. We discuss that as well as Sainristil's NFL draft prospects. And J.J. McCarthy is limited in the NFL scouting combine, so what he needs to do now that he can't run the 40 or do the vertical jump to increase his chances of moving up draft boards.

My attitude is, up until recently television and to a lesser extent radio, have been making billions of dollars off college football. Now it is time for the schools and the players to share in the pay day. I'm 70 years old. (I hate to say that!) But my college football fandom goes way back. College football has entertained me. And I expect it to continue to do so. The NFL needs college football. So have the two entities work together. Keep it going and entertaining. I'll keep watching.
A Billion dollars in nothing when you think about the number of players that would need to compensated. Then you look at how many schools don't make money now with them getting almost all the TV revenue and you see the money just isn't there for a reasonable solution that is fair to all schools.
Bologna, money is destroying the continuity of the sports. Keep it simple and give a free ride for an education and represent your school. The hell with all the noise and surrounding chaos.

No that's why it's tampering the window has to be open and the player is already entered in the portal.
These schools use a loophole, they have agents contact parents of the players or someone in general who knows the kids. Sometimes, they even use another parent from one of their players to contact the family members of our players. Basically the loophole is to have people not technically involved with the university to contact people who know the players they're after to
give their offer. I'm pretty sure there's not much that can be done about it unfortunately. Although, I'm sure if Michigan was doing it they'd absolutely find a way to throw the book at us

I am concerned about Loveland leaving in the spring if the qb for this year doesn’t look that good. It’s his last year so I’m sure he doesn’t want to have a down year and hurt his draft stock because his qb can’t get him the ball

I think he is good. Why learn new offense. And with short passes to TE may be the best scenario if QB is shaky. I think idea of getting stellar WR in spring portal is a dream. We couldn’t do it with JJ ascending as Heisman candidate last summer, hard challenge to do this spring. I dunno

Nobody wants NFL light. We can watch USFL. I live college for the differences. If we eliminate conference title value and continue to allow Wild West drama, CFB is going to lose fans. It may then be too late by the time they figure it out.

I personally do because I dont like Chicago sports teams. I don't respect Bears fans because they havent earned the level of smugness that they brag about their team.
