I have a g425 max stock and tried a g430 yesterday and was hitting it similar but changed it to a RDX shaft and was getting a
Higher ball flight and a few more yards
Fantabulous.
I have an loving my G430 LST, and moved to a 46 inch x stiff shaFt with the hulk shaft. It feels amazing and hits bombs!!!!

Nothing against Rick because his reviews have gotten better but I’d suggest checking out TXG when it comes to reviews. They come at it from a fitters standpoint which is a lot more technical. Completely ignore this if you already watch them lol
I don't think this is an honest review. Rick uses a G425 and loves it so gives these drivers a better review then they deserve.
The new G430 Max went 6 or 7 yards less distance but sounds better so he says it's an improvement...... That doesn't sound right.

I've played with the G430 Max and it was easier to hit than my current gamer G425 Max. Kudos on another solid review and not the bs reviewers who hit the new model longer every year. I'm switching as soon as it's released here in the states.

Would love to see dispersion charts at some point in the video. Considering the ping is one of the brands thats priority is in forgiveness it would be good to be apart of your review
Dispersion will depend on how consistent your swing is - never fail to be amazed that so many handicappers think the latest clubs will fix bad technique
From what I remember of past reviews, he typically only mentions dispersion if it's real bad. Like in his last review, it had ~30 yard variance (from memory, I might be off a bit but you get the idea)
@@N-M362 Of course dispersion is dependant on the swing, but as he goes on about in the review, the major selling point of these drivers in particular is their forgiveness - which affects dispersion with slight mishits (not massive slices etc).. My pet hate is reviewers who go on endlessly about length.. who cares if you go ten yards further into the rough every time...
It's because his is all over the planet.

It's funny because even professionals have pointed out that the ping 425 is tighter dispersion for them. Maybe they ought to just get better technique and all use the Bomber that is the sldr? Fuck it maybe the hammer? Haha
The whole idea that he is comparing the two drivers with the same consistent swing, which he makes a point of as he points to the swing speed. Therefore one would expect that dispersion would be a factor as well
Great review just got a 425 three wood. Love it, haven’t had a three wood in 15 years. Haven’t hit a bad shot with it yet. Currently hitting a PXG driver and irons may go back to Ping.
I still use my G400 LST and I love it! I go by myself a lot and get paired with people and they’re always shocked by how far I bomb the ball lol. Imma get a 430 LST head and attach it to my current shaft, super pumped.

I’ve had the Last two Ping drivers and now have the G430max. Absolutely love it. The sound has gone and it’s 15 yds longer than the G425. I’ve also added the G430. 3 wood with the same shaft as my driver. It’s as long as my G425 was.
I currently play the G400 MAX model and can't wait to get my hands on the G430 MAX and the LST to try out at my fitter. Still have to wait to the end of february until they arrive overhere in NL😒

Good review. I was looking forward to this model coming out but I love my 425 LST. After watching this review, I’ll keep using my 425.
First off, your reviews, as well as your other videos are the best in golf! Love the breaking 75 series in particular. That being said, now that you've reviewed the new driver offerings from TaylorMade, Callaway, Cobra and Ping, it would be great to see a chart comparing the data from all the above, including dispersion.
Agree. I'm wondering which one he's going to throw in has bag to replace the G425 Max.

@@ShinyChamelion Lazy and rushed? There's segments to the reviews where he talks about the technology, first feel swings, simulator result, and then golf course swings again after knowing what numbers he got on the simulator. No idea where you get the "reading a prompt" feel from.

I’m still using a Ping G series from about 5-6 years ago. I’ve also still got a G10 from long ago which I absolutely loved.

Just got finished a round a few hours ago, and my buddy hit a demo G430 on the back nine. The sound to me was incredible - a SMACK instead of "pink". He gained around 15 yards on average, with one blast that was 25 yards gained. I tried it, but the flex was too stiff, stiff flex to my senior flex, but I did motor it to about 7 yards farther than my average drive. (I did swing out of my shoes) But the SOUND! Awesome club.
I just bought the G425 max in new condition, they have good prize now that G430 is released, I thought it was the right decision, now convinced after Rick's review
I have the g400Lst and have loved it for years. Think I will give this a try since they have worked on the sound!!
Agreed on colors, loved the simple theme of the G425.

Just had a fitting for a stealth 2 FARgiveness and hoped for more spin than my current stealth. No such joy ended up with a g430 pretty much matching ball speed and increased my ball spin nicely went from 250 carry to 274 carry. Over the moon and the sound difference was brilliant over the last g425 which I could have never used due to the sound.
Yesterday I purchased the g430 LST with the tour chrome shaft. Im hitting it 25 metres further than my g400 which has moved from being my favourite club in the back to the back of the garage cupboard!

I’ve got the g425 in the bag for same reasons as your good self sir! My son is having his dirt ever fitting next week and he’s trying all the top 4 including the g430! I’m so excited to hear it and hope he doesn’t like it so I can get it! 🤣🤣 great video as always pal! 🤙🏻
Tsi player here, happened to demo a 430 max today and was blown away. I struggle to get enough spin but launch the ball well enough. That 9 degree max head was a beauty. I have never seen 160 ball speed and was hitting it with ease. I really didn’t want to buy a new driver 😢
Work at a golf shop so I have hit pretty much every model. Hated that G425 sound as-well rick. Hit that G430 and that was my immediate reaction. Sounds Amazing.

I'm after a new fairway wood. The Ping is in the running. Great review as always. To be honest I had a Ping G425 fairway and the headcover on that was also cheap and flimsy. I know it's a minor detail and the performance of the club is what's important, but when you are paying top $$$, you expect something half decent.

I have the 400 and went on the sim Friday . I play off 12 and I am older lol. 15 yards but omg straight wasn’t the word for it . The first two were literally down the line on top of each other , I couldn’t miss. We had a go on the 425/which was great but not quite as good. The club (max) looks and sits super . For me it does what the vloggers are saying .
Good money saver since the differences are minimal to go with the G425! I have one and have seen immense improvement in Fairway %'s. I have a higher swing speed and went with the stiffer shaft which honestly might be the biggest reason! (old one was way to flexy (is that a word?) and i sprayed it everywhere. Great video and keep it up! Really loving the trips to the US and challenges. Then you have podcasts about it too! Way to eat up all my youtube time RICK! :D

Excellent comparison review. I recently picked up a brand-new G 425 MAX at a reduced price, so that is what I'm going with this year.
I will never understand why "skilled" players get so uptight about the louder sound of some drivers. If I'm going to rip one off-line into Margerie's sitting room, I feel I should at least be polite enough to give her advance warning!!!
Just purchased the 425max. I always crushed my driver, but what fairway it ended up in was anyones guess. First time at the range with 425max and avg carry w range balls was 260 and after getting the feel of it had a couple carry close to 300, but no flags after 250 so hard to know exactly. Best Part, vast majority went perfectly straight. Game changer, and after 12 years not playing golf I am excited to get back out there.
Great video Rick. My new 430 max just arrived. Loved my G400, didn’t love the G410. Latest was the Sims 2. When the stealth came out my son and several of his friends made the switch and all said the same thing. Hit the center and it goes a mile but anything else and the ball goes wildly off line. Looking forward to getting out there. PS I don’t know if ping took your advice on the head over but this one seems to be plush. Even more than my Taylor Made, or Lucky Brand covers.
Even the video is from 5 months ago, I just want to state, that this „Weapon“ changed a lot in my Golf-Game. I finally decided to give up on my Taylormade SIM MAX, beeing soo frustrated from slicing, and lack of accuracy.
For me the T-Shot at every hole is so crucial in respect to the next shots, due to confidence.
Using the g430 Max with a stiff shaft (clubheadspeed at an average of 96) got me rid of 98% of my Slices. Distance is phenomenal for my doings( min. 246 yrds max. 300 yrds).
Last 6 rounds I dropped HCP from 34,6 to around 27, while getting a big gain in enjoying Golf again!
I’m getting a fitting tomorrow and trying out the G430 SFT. I’ve been using the K15 SFT for over 10 years.

Would love to see dispersion charts in addition to the numbers to illustrate / backup your comments on foregiveness.
Would be cool to have a summary video once completed all reviews. Ideally with a head on head comparision of the brands. E.g. 3 sets of 4 shots with each Driver (12 in total). Delete the worst two shot, which gives a ssmple of 10 shots per club and should be very solid stats.
Headcover review, I have to love it. It's SOOO important to me that the head cover matches my bag, damn the performance I want to look good rolling up to the clubhouse lol. Seriously I love my Ping 425, I'll look at the 430 once it's aged out a bit ( and the price drops some) thanks for the review, I alway apprciate your comments, Rick.
Tried the G430 LST, was surprised it wasn’t carrying as far as the Paradym triple Demond or even the Tsr4. For myself the dispersion wasn’t crazy different between the 3, I’m a very low handicap but still no where near a pro. So was expecting the Ping to be more consistent but it wasn’t, it spins higher and launches higher then the other 3. I’m sure that’s the reason for it carrying less then the others. All 3 where tried with the Ventus Blue velocore shaft and Graphite Design adub.
The LST sounds so good! If you’re a beginner and don’t think it’s for you, you never know. Moving the weight to ‘draw’ helped me start bombing them straight. Try different hosel settings, it just might work!
Really looking forward to seeing your thoughts on the new Wilson Dynapwr. I very much doubt there is a better driver out there for the price they're going for. Seriously considering putting one in the bag.

The sound is SO much better. My country club had a couple and I demoed it Wednesday. It's the best sounding driver from Ping ever in my opinion. Finally!!

Got the G430 LST, up from the G400 LST and am really liking it, and I like the colour scheme, I thinks it adds a slight touch of class and is very appealing, not cheap looking at all.
Absolutely agree about the 430Max. On course it looks like you're hitting a great shot, only to find that it's fallen short of normal landmarks, bunkers and regular approach positions on my home course. It def spins too much and for fast swingers its likely to not be a great fit for them.
Just went and got fitted today for the G430 with a Mitsubishi Kai"li White 60s Shaft. I loved this thing on the simulator and out on the range. I went into my fitting with plans of going with the new Paradym which was the runner up for me or a Titelist TSr2 or 3. Didn't like the last two I tried at all. We went through several configs with all club heads and several shafts. My numbers were at 101 MPH head speed, 2200 RPM backspin, 245 - 250 carry with a 265-275 total distance.

The new Callaway Paryadym easily is best looking for my eyes and deff would love to try it but the ping would be tested right with it cause I love the G400 I have and play 50 % with the 16M2 I play other half but the G430 my best guess is what ping always does , makes great products.
I absolutely love the color. I just bought a driver last season, but (and I'm not a new driver every season kinda player)...I may buy this driver. The cover doesn't matter to me as I'll play my old leather covers forever.
If you were curious about a ping, this is the one to get. The first big leap in performance since the 400.
Bought the g425 today the forgiveness is crazy good it was almost impossible to hit one out of play on the driving range computer thingy . So happy I bought one in the sale as I’ve never considered ping before mostly a Taylor made player . I’d highly recommend the newer ping drivers 👌

@@MidnightMaro to fix your slice: on your back swing, instead of swinging the club to the tip of your shoulder, shallow your backswing like you would swing back towards your wing bones. By shallowing your backswing you will tend to hit straighter or draw, sometimes even hooking. And practice the swing slower. Like hitting with 50-75% power. Works every time.

Big g425 max fan. I’ve been anticipating the 430 line I just hit the g430 max and the g430 lst. Very surprised that I like the g425 max the best. I like the 425 sound so it’s all good with my current set up. Really surprised myself.

Well I hit the g430 max today with my current gamer shaft, and had remarkable results. Outdoor on the course the sound is great as well vs the range. So I grabbed it at our pro shop and it’s in the bag. G425 max is now my trusty back up.
Just tested out a few drivers today, your review almost had me getting the Wilson, then one shot near the hozel and heard a crack. Lifted the club and the head fell right off 🤣. And then got this bad boy.

Best club reviewer in the youtube game. Thinking about switching back to Titliest this year after a decade of playing Taylor Made drivers. I wish these big club manufacturers would give their customers the option of just buying the club head. I've been playing the same Tour AD shaft for almost ten years and I just keep switching out driver heads every couple of generations. I got a garage full a stock driver shafts collecting dust.

I really like the look of the G430 and I like the green/yellow accents. The LST is 🔥. I also really liked the look of the G425 but I couldn’t get past the sound which is why I never put it in the bag. “Spinsistency” is a great word. Pings 2 year release cycle builds credibility with me time and time again. I will eventually have the 430 in my bag.

My confidence and enjoyment of the game improved tremendously since moving to the Ping G425, which I purchased based on Rick's review and constant praise. I consistently find more fairways and rarely slice (which was my problem).
Those considering a new driver should seriously consider the Ping G430 (or used G425).
I’ve demo’d the G430 over several rounds at my club and really enjoyed it. I decided to go w a used G425 and in addition get a G430 fairway wood

Just got club fitted yesterday. Ironically I hit the Ping G430 LS driver better then the one that has more spin to it lol but can’t wait to hit the course with my new Ping driver!

I've used the G425 max for the past 2 years and wasn't planning on upgrading but I won a G430 max so it's nice to see similar numbers with improved sound. That'll do me for free. Wouldn't have bought it though.

I had some hot melt put into my G425 LST and it improved the sound. I was excited about this driver, but the 425 is working fine for me and its only 6 months old so it wont be going anywhere, specially as I'm a bit broke this year :)
Really helpful review! I am heading into 2023 looking for a new driver - it would be great to see a comparison video of all the new drivers released this year so far to hear which one you think is leading the way for a variety of golfers. Based on your reviews so far, it looks like my ranking would be Callaway Paradym, Ping G430 LST, Cobra Aeromax and then the Taylormade Stealth 2
Don’t forget the TSR. I went to a fitting and was a toss up between the TSR3 and G425 LST. Went with Ping as it was on sale 😂 but got a little more carry out the Titleist but was only an extra yard or 2. Once roll out was factored in it was completely the same

I have a year old 425 LST. I was at the driving range the other night and they had some 430s in. They didn't have a MAX I could try, as to be honest I was curious to try the max to see if I could get a little bit of forgiveness because i find the LST can be a little bit wild especially as I have a habit of if I'm trying to put a little bit extra on it, that's when I can send one right. They only had an SFT I could try, so we put it in fade, had a go, I was sending everything left. But when I got it on line it was producing baby draws. I went back to my LST, and I was producing pretty much straight shots, if anything a baby fade. By trying that new club it actually highlighted my sometimes poor technique and actually helped me. The SFT though, if you do suffer with a bit of a slice I definitely would recommend giving it a go.
My G425 SFT changed my golf game I would certainly entertain staying with PING for future purchases
I traded my Sim 2 for some cash and an old ping G30 and have been super impressed. I can’t wait to try the newer models

Great review, maaaaaay be skipping driver upgrades this year after seeing this. Though, I might still see how that LST feels. Currently play a G425 max, and may just tinker with shafts if I really feel antsy this year.
