  • The archeologists have arrived and are on site digging trenches for study to check if any history should be recorded or preserved on site. This is an amazing step to be happening and we are so excited for this project to really get started where we will cover it every step of the way!

    There are pipes like this all over the place locally, they are normally for water samples to be taken to ensure the groundwater is not polluted. This is because the hill to the west of the site is actually an old landfill site, as is the hill slightly to the east of the site. These pipes do look smarter and newer but they look very similar.

    I had some fun pointing at the 3rd digger whilst you were turning around trying to find it :P.

      With the diggers I could see them across the field but spotting them on the small drone screen is harder because I have focus peaking on which outlines what’s in focus in red and the diggers blended in. I thing I will turn it off in future.

    Those pipes are similar to pipes here that were capped and had been used to test for soil pollution and contaminates, which, that site being a brickworks is probably what they are looking for. they also use them to see what is below a structure if they are going to be disturbing the ground, ie for foundations and may encounter shallow rock formations.

    Very good footage! Perhaps edit it down a bit so not quite so long, as a lot of people won't have time to watch a half hour video. The close ups of the trench digging was interesting, exciting that progress is happening!

      You’re welcome to skip through my waffle, I won’t be offended.

    I've been waiting for the ground to dry a bit before I go for a run around there, but seeing all these little changes I'm starting to think I better hurry up before they start fencing more of it off! Still got the £1 train ticket offers at the moment too 😂Cheers for the vids

      Don’t leave it too long, the field is fairly dry at the moment and a public footpath runs across it.

      @@hayleyburrows Hi Hayley it goes from the top of manor road behind the pub and across the fields to the old a421 road.

      I don’t think compulsory purchases but they might get offered a deal they cannot turn down.

    Wonder if the businesses next door will move away long term? Just because they are so close to the area. More land for Universal expansion 😀

      Anything is possible but the waste transfer yard is owned but a guy who lives in Wootton so I doubt he will give it up as getting permission to build yards like that isn’t easy plus he’s not short of cash.

    that's a beautiful drone, what is it?

    • @ProjectUniversalUK
      @ProjectUniversalUK  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It's a DJI Mini 4 pro, however most drones capture the same level of detail but upload to TH-cam really compressed. I don't compress the footage too much so it retains the detail. This video was a 25gb upload to TH-cam before they do their compression.

      Sorry I mean it was a Mini 4 pro. I've just brought it, my last one was an air2s but for this I've been using the mini 4. Easier to carry across fields.

    Great video. Gives a good impression of how big the site actually is. Do you live locally? I live in Wootton.
