Right now it is innovating backwards with no forethought of laying the groundwork for it to substitute a port. You try airdropping or emailimg a sizable data file and see how that "it just works" mentality goes. You'll be so lucky to have background 3rd party uploads on iphones currently.

Problem is the strength of the magnets, so instead of detatching as a cable normaly would, you have magsafe to thank for a nice broken screen because the resistence of the magnets dont allow the detatchmemt to easily happen as if the cable gets snagged. I mean these things are comoletley avoidable, but it seems kimda redundant in this sense.
You can get a magsafe case for most major Android phones. I have a s23 fe with a magsafe case from torras. Love the case and having magsafe is incredible.
Best part of the magsafe wallet is that it can be quickly taken off for charging or to use another accessory. One of my favorites is an Xbox controller mount from otter box. Great for playing Genshin and Star Rail.

The biggest issue with magsafe is that apple somehow managed to get a patent for "magnets in a circle". No size specific magnets or needed pull etc. Just magnets in a circle. Oh and round magnets. A sibgle big round magnet is also not possible while the patent exists. Like wtf amrican patent office.
don’t recommend doing that. Apple integrated MagSafe to be faster than QI charging. you’re basically charging your phone slower than MagSafe. trust me, I tried.

All I want to do is charge my phone because of how satisfying it is. There's a phone case company called Pitaka, they got a few magsafe cases available for some flagship Samsung and Google phones at the moment. As far as I know (I don't own one to say) it's the thinnest case you can get with magsafe on it and it's carbon fiber

Yeah supposedly with Qi2 charging, Android phones will have the "magsafe" ring of magnets built in which would be nice so you can still use no case or a more elegant case and still use the feature. But for now we have to use a case with a built in ring to use magsafe on Android. But even most iphone cases show a ring to make it easier to locate
Magnet cases and magnetic accessories was always used my friend used magnetic car phone holder for his galaxy S8, i also had gifted my mom with magnetic phone holder 5 years ago for realmi phone.

The full Macsafe spec includes the Qi charger, magnets and housing.

I actually bought max safe for my S22 Ultra, and it actually works great. You can buy just a magnetic ring by itself.
it was put in the iphones to protect the battery and internals of the phones from being destroyed from other magnets
It also wipes the mag strip on my student ID so I can’t keep it in my wallet phone case
This has been tested and is false if you use it with an official MagSafe wallet.
