    One major benefit of Magsafe vs wired charger: wired charging plugs can be finicky because they can get clocked with dust and gunk and then you can't charge your phone at all! Better to have at least the ability to charge your phone via Magsafe. Not saying your complaints aren't valid, but I can still see the value of this item.

    Simple solution: just put double sided tape on it and stick it to your desk. That's what I did. Works great in my home office. I prefer the magsafe charger over other wireless chargers because it's faster and, as you said, the magnets ensure that it's always alligned correctly.
    That being said, I agree that it's a bit annoying that it sticks to your phone (if you don't use my solution). If you want a charger to bring around with you and don't mind the cable getting in the way then I would probably just get a regular wired charger..

    1. Third party longer cables are available at very competitive prices.
    2. It’s not true that third party power bricks only charge at 10W. Anker’s Nano 20W charging brick actually has a throughput of 16W, which is faster and cheaper than Apple’s own equivalent one. As long as the brick supports Power Delivery 3.0 it will provide power at the advertised speed.
    3. No wireless chargers are designed to be hand held, so taking a dig at Apple for that leads me to believe that you created this video with the intention to discredit the product, instead of presenting an accurate and unbiased review.
    4. This product claims to wirelessly charge MagSafe compatible iPhones at 15W, and it does what it says on the box.
    So I say you should 100% buy it if you need it. Hope you found my honest review useful. Enjoy! 😆

    No matter what the charger, I’ve always thought the 3” cord length is a lame way to save a few cents. For all the money we spend on smartphones (again, iOS or other) anything under a 10” cord is an insulting slap in the face. I now buy my charging cords from my usual 3rd party but since Apple decided to stop sending the chargers with the device I’d like the option to have them keep their lame crappy 3” cord as well. Since they seem to think the wall wart is with $40 then give us the option to get just the device and drop $60 off the price. I could then use that money to buy my 10” cord and wall wart while still pocketing the remaining $20. Fair is fair .

There's no way you can tell me that if you had to plug and unplug both of those 20 times in a row that they would both have seemed equally easy to do. Trying to line up the lightning cable into that tiny tiny port is definitely more tedious, especially in low lighting.

    • @LL-fi4rr
      @LL-fi4rr 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Claiming MagSafe is easier because you don't need to mess with plugging/unplugging is a stretch, too. That's his point. It's canceled out by the fact that it handles exactly the same as a Lightning cable when you're done using it.

    • @TheLegoJoker
      @TheLegoJoker 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LL-fi4rr Hardly. Handles the same “when you’re done using it.” Right, but hooks up when you start to use it way easier than lightning. The biggest appeal to me is that I use a regular wireless charger now and if I get the phone off center by just a bit, I don’t charge overnight. MagSafe eliminates that worry. I haven’t purchased it yet myself, but I most likely will soon. To me, the pros outweigh the cons. YMMV.

      a dock station. is a wary better option to me.
      this si just a cable. no difference with a lightning cable for me.
      i never wore any of my iphone port.
      While the magsafe does really wear the cases if you are not careful.
      I am a happy owner of a 2-in-1 Wireless Charger Stand with MagSafe 15W
      you can detach with one hand by simply twisting a bit your phone when you take it.
      charges your airpod at the same time.
      cable is long enough and included.
      you can charge horizontally or vertically for video watching or video calls.
      that’s for me a good usage of the magsafe feature of the iphone. together with the walled and magsafe battery pack.
      but most of all it’s super clean and fancy on your desk.
      your iphone is literally floating in air with this charger and it’s super reachablke.
      so nice

      Does the magnet only work on iPhones or is it just as strong on other phones?

      @@aigoated I believe that the magnets only work on the iPhone 12 and 13 models. You can use the magsafe charger as a wireless charger for other phones that use the Qi wireless standard. Although, I tried it with my iPhone 11 before I got my 13 and it didn’t work that well. I hope this helps! :)

      @@nicholasrobinson6353 thank you! I also figured out that you can buy a magnetic adhesive that attaches to any phone to make it work. However the only problem is heat if you have a wireless charger that heats up easily.
