You are best to use wired chargers not wireless. The Clutch Pro is interesting as it has the magnets to connect to the back of the phone, but doesn’t charge wirelessly, it uses a short inbuilt wire.

I carry the 10k anker w/screen and recharge the Apple in my bag! I’ll use the Apple till dead first thing in the morning, recharge in my bag late morning, then if needed in the late day, pull it out again and use it if I need another boost - usually I don’t on a long usage day, using this method. I use magsafe everyday, while driving and I haven't carried a wallet since the iPhone 12 came out. Magsafe is a great implementation and because of its convenience I wanted to try magsafe battery packs. After using many of them from all the major brands I can safely say that they ALL get uncomfortably hot no matter what paid reviewers will say. In my experience Anker is one of the worst in this regard. I just tried the Belkin 5k sold directly from Apple and I had to return it the day after i bought it. And i don't even use my iPhone while charging it! The only one that didn't get hot was the Apple Magsafe Battery Pack. It was just a superior product designed specifically for the iPhone by Apple. I hope they will bring it back but for the time being I'm sticking to the old reliable cable. It's cheaper, charges faster and my iPhone stays way cooler.
And they are also so thick. I got big hands but my iPhone 15pm becomes too thick when using even the thinnest of the ones shown in this video. The Apple one was the only one functional imo.
To my knowledge, the Apple battery pack works like an additional battery for your phone, whereas all of the other branded battery packs are essentially chargers. Im looking for a battery extension, where i slap it on my phone at 90% for my entire day to draw power from the battery pack without damaging my phones battery. This is only possible with Apples battery pack right?

When Apple gave MagSafe to Qi to make Qi 2, I really wish they would have included the battery status protocol. I still use their pack because I don’t want to lose that 😢
Getting warm doesn’t mean overheat. Your phone will STOP CHARGING if it detects it’s too warm, no matter what, when charging or not. If it’s charging it will stop, if just usining dim 1x, then dim more then just turn off til cool. Stop saying it overheats.

Given that Qi2 was certified in April 2023 and we only saw official Qi2 devices a year after that, I wouldn't wait. Get a good Qi2 charger now and I doubt anything with a new standard will coming for 18 months.

I want a permanent, powerful extra battery with the cool little button on the back to turn it off and on. The battery is always there no need to say "where did I put that thing". Many people are still reminiscent of the battery case, and Apple has made them / discontinued them several times. I don't know of any right now for the new ones, but will keep an eye out!
Apple MagSafe is slow, gets quite warm, doesn't hold a charge after months of non-use and won't charge your phone to full. Despite all the challenges and being the most expensive dollar per watt, it's the best overall in terms of portability, size, comfort and functionality. Best used as a range extender which means you would need to know in advance whether you're going on a long journey. Wish more improvements can be done towards efficiency but I think this the limit.
I dont think there would be much of a difference between 15w and 25w since the difference between 7.5w and 15w is a slight difference in speed when it is almost double the watts. what would be interesting tho is seeing the heat of the new magsafe especially on previous iPhone models stuck at 15w
@@elkortby the anker does charge faster. But the belkin comes with a type c cord attached, which I personally use a lot but if you don't use that than yes the anker is faster.
The MagSafe does not look like the old one. The dimensions are different. I have them both. The new one is almost half the thickness and slightly smaller. So if you have a stand it fits in. It doesn’t anymore. Also the new one has a threaded cable.

My old anker 622 5k mah barely gets me less than 2k capacity while charging and 3.5k while charging with a wire, these aren’t exact and heat obviously leads to more loss. Not sure why someone doesn't release a slim power bank that hangs on using MagSafe but uses a flat integral USB-C cable to charge. Kind of like the small SSDs that hang onto the iPhone for video recording. The more I test different Qi2 chargers the more I realize that induction charging is full of drawbacks.

What about the Sharge CarbonMag 10K? It’s lighter than the anker by 10% and it’s also cooler from what other users are reporting.
I actually tested that and didn't find it charge faster, and the "cooling" didn't help much either.

Not sure why someone doesn't release a slim power bank that hangs on using MagSafe but uses a flat integral USB-C cable to charge. Kind of like the small SSDs that hang onto the iPhone for video recording. The more I test different Qi2 chargers the more I realize that induction charging is full of drawbacks.

but all these are only 15W. now that magsafe is 25W, you gotta purchase a whole new set of accessories. RIP to my Qi2 15W chargers.
I don’t think there’s going to be 25W batteries for a while. Like almost a year away most likely. Those Belkin’s just came out.
