    Welcome to San Antonio, TX. I love living here. It's a big city so traffic can be bad at certain times but not as bad as Houston traffic . Over here you're not far from the Gulf of Mexico (2 to 3 hours depends on where you go ) . We also are close to some beautiful lakes called Canyon Lake and Medina Lake in the Hill Country. Also numerous parks and great rivers in and around SA. The most beautiful parts outside of downtown are located more in the north/northwest . Enjoy your stay!!!! Remember the Alamo !

Most of the time from January to end of February daytime temperatures are somewhere between upper 50s and low 70s . In March weather gets very warm 80s most of the time . April 80s and 90s, May upper 80s to 100 and that's not going to change until October. Basically it's warm and hot with very little rain. Sunny mostly or party cloudy .

      I have a Sister that Lives in San Antonio and I visit sometimes and I can tell you that there is a lot of fun and exciting places to visit and a whole lot if historical things! The Riverwalk is a must if you're visiting and the nearby Canyon Lake and the Comal and Guadalupe Rivers are great for tubing! Of course like any other city of its size there are bad parts if town, but there are a lot of very nice neighborhoods and as far as hotels go there are some really nice 4 and 5 star hotels in and around San Antonio! It's a fun city and it's hard to cover it all in just a day or two because it's rather large in area! Not quite as big as Houston, but pretty big! There's also Sux Flage Fiesta Texas and SeaWorld San Antonio next door! Enjoy your stay and enjoy the great food!

    Most of Hispanic people in San Antonio are descendants of early 20'th century Immigrants, not immigrants themselves nor even their children, and that has a lot to do with why many of the poorer neighborhoods are as bad as they are. Of course, there ARE some immigrants too, some of whom do end up having their life fall apart after arrival in the US though that is the exception. The Northside has a lot of prosperity however.

    • @jKLa
      @jKLa 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@derekbuxton6626 actually Texas is about 40% Hispanic overall but the percentage varies widely by county. Yes, Texas was once Mexico and some Hispanic Texans do descent from that period, but even the settlement during Mexican Texas was mostly by Anglo Americans and Germans, which is a big part of why Mexico lost Texas early on.

      This does not show any of San Antonio's trendy urban historic neighborhoods just the gritty sketchy sections.
      San Antonio has ranked as one of the U.S. cities with the most new apartment construction more than 60,000 new residential units built over the past few years a lot in the Urban core and you see none of this in this video. San Antonio is one of the fastest growing metros in the nation. It is an old city but is also modern and progressive.
      San Antonio does have it's share of inner city neighborhoods that need urban renewal but what big city doesn't.
      The urban core has 4 arts districts full of public art, shops, galleries, theatres, museums, parks, all kinds of dining options and beautiful architecture.

    No Sul do Brasil tem algumas cidades com as casas abertas, sem grades como Gramado, Canelas, cidades que são mais um pedaço da Europa. Eu gosto muito dessa geografia americana com ruas bem largas e casas bem afastadas das ruas, tem muitas casas históricas, o pessoal daí não é muito de mexer nas casas.

    LA can be bad but it really isn't as bad in it's worst neighborhoods then some of what you show on this video (just from my superficial impression and what others who are familiar with the city have told me) partly because SoCal has a much higher percentage of immigrants then San Antonio. I've never been to San Antonio myself but I have read a lot of history about it. More broadly, IMHO LA sucks, especially these days, though the beaches and many outlying areas of SoCal are quite nice. I've spent time there in recent years and am definitely not a fan...

    That is one of the weirdest videos I've ever seen. San Antonio, Texas ( San Antonio de Padua ) is one of the most historical and beautiful cities in the United States. Our tourist industry brings in millions of dollars per year. We have so so much to see here. You were right by the Monticello neighborhood and did not visit. It includes one of the oldest schools in the United States with architecture that is world renowned. That is only one neighborhood in the city. We have stunning neighborhoods to visit. We have so much to see in our city it's hard to believe. Contact me if you are interested in a real and significant tour of our city, after all I am a certified tour ambassador of this beautiful city. Of course, there is no charge for the tour, we are warm and friendly people in this wonderful city named San Antonio. Remember, when you are in San Antonio, You're Home.

      Nobody gives a crap about history ? WOW ! No, that's not the REAL San Antonio. Some of that is the West Side of San Antonio. That was a quick little ride. By the way, what city do you call home ?

      Lmao I grew up in San Antonio and travel a lot, people here think we are so historic and different. This is one of the least visited “tourist towns” we have the same amount of history as any major city and there is nothing special about San Antonio. Travel more

      San Antonio WAS part of Mexico (Texas was) before 1838. San Antonio was then called San Antonio de Bejar de Tejas. Once Texas became part of the USA, San Antonio became known has just San Antonio, Texas. Learn your history
