He could've gone further south to the old Hot Springs Hotel and Brooks City-Base. There's also the old Red Berry mansion. Good episode. Very entertaining.
Love! Love! Love! that you featured my side of town. Thank you Chet and crew. These were my stomping grounds and have a plethora of memories for me. Of course there's a few more places to explore 😁
RIP Alamo Eat St Bar, that was my favorite spot. A few of the places shown in this video are gone now, including the Hemisfair gate, Alamo Eat St Bar, and Feast. The ghost tracks were also redone so there is no longer a crossing there. Fox 29 did a story on the tracks in late 90s/early 2000s and the tracks were actually an optical illusion, it is actually downhill and not uphill. The finger prints on the back of the car are your own from opening and closing your trunk.
I think I am gonna go to the trucks soon, perfect weather in San Antonio right now. So glad you got to visit our city, Yall come back now ya hear! Happy Trails
Agreed. Animal fat is far healthier for you than any plant based oil. I probably would nix that place altogether since I don’t like Mexican breads or pastries other than tortillas.
How could you miss showing the Largest Virgin Mary Mosaic in the World that has an eternal flame?!!!!?!!!!! It's literally a giant 40 ft tall mosaic candle with a wall mural on each side. I'm not religious and thought this was a great find last time I went to SA. It's on the corner of South Brazos Street and Guadalupe Street for anyone who wants to check it out. The artist is Vietnam Vet, Jesse Trevino.
Love your shows man! Much love from San Antonio
Wow I thought this was a recent video but this is several years old! 😂
That house tour was everything! La Espada mission is my favorite, it’s so intimate.
The ghosts tracks are a natural optical illusion....there is actually a slope which allows the car to roll

So he tossed the powder container...DON'T mess with Texas!

The Liberty Bar is awesome. Don’t miss out on The Friendly Spot a few blocks away for an outdoor casual time!
Love South Town.
Lost me at “no animal fat.” That is NOT how you make a healthier version of something!

What? Seed oils are amazing lubricants! Why wouldn’t you want to make your food in motor oil 🤷🏼♂️
@@wesleyturner1979 you may be onto something…I mean, when has lube ever let me down?
Awesome ty. I’m about 45 minutes from there. We’re going to try those places. Ty for sharing
You need come to Lindsey, Texas to the Smokehouse! Delicious barbecue, or try Dieters barbecue next door.

Not in south town
I love this city so much! Hands down the best city in Texas (definitely not biased)
Legend hands it that the baby powder is still left on the side of the road😭😭
Haha. I did pick it up.
Love the shows!
This is hella old. Half of these places are gone now.
Bbq republic is really good. It's really close to one of the missions
That is NOT south side San Antonio???!!!
Awesome! Yee Haw! 🤠🐴🛞
anyone know the song starting at 1.33?
Love this
I’m from San Antonio and you didn’t actually go to the southside
Hope you went back and got the baby. Powder
That's not real southside food
it's better
his children should have gotten the house, unless he had none!!
Some people are just plain mean and set their kids up for failure.
Thanks for littering
I picked it up. My whole crew was still there.
Chet at the tracks if you would have driven into the neighborhood that's back there it has all the names of the children as street names.
The ghost tracks is a lie
Texana doesn't like yankee opines nor the destruction of SA like they did Austin!
This isn’t the Southside. No research( done at all.
🇩🇪 🫂 🇮🇱
South Town is not Southside.
Pan-de-ria
I would never go to south San Antonio it’s to dangerous!!!!!
Southtown is safe
Nah. I've never felt unsafe.
@@TheDaytripper 11 years and cruddy policies can ruin a place real quick.
I have worked downtown for 16 years. South town is one of the safest parts of the city. The river walk area can be dangerous.
