    I like the clarity of the video... This is a different feeling at night. Another folklore was a home in the area that they called the Donkey Lady's home which had a door on the house without any stairs.
    There is also folklore of the Chinese Graveyard, the Bridge where it is pushed by children, and a few others that were hits back in the 80s when we'd go out there and freak each other out. Fun times!

      The place is scary at night. Especially how heavy the fog gets around the river under the right conditions. I've seen "people" in the fog. You could call it paradolia maybe mixed with exhaustion from 12 hours of factory work, but I did see it and it freaked me out a bit.

    Back in 2014 a body was dumped across the street from the bridge. As recent as two years ago the family was still putting memorial decorations there. I used to drive by it every day on NY way to work at the Toyota Plant. On the walking trail on the other side of Applewhite road, I was walking one morning at him 7am, to try to photograph wildlife, and I heard a woman singing in the distance, coming from the direction of the woods, not up or down the trail. It was very weird but I kept walking, when I turned around to.co.backnto my car, the singing had stopped. That whole park is kinda creepy. I went back on the trails off that road once and went a the way to the end. You could see people had been partying there a d drinking. Lots of cans and bottles from recent to decades past in the woods around that road. I also saw remnants of a busted old TV set. The ones that used tonhave the faux wood laminate over the plastic. Like from the 80s. It's a great place to take pictures of deer and boar, some some interesting birds.

    My 8yo son and I hike this area all the time and one day while deep in the woods on the hiking trails he fell behind for literally a minute and when I noticed and turned around something ran behind him and went into the heavy brush and trees whatever it was it was really fast tall and was just a dark blur. When it hit the brush amd tree area it was really loud and all we Bouie here was branches breaking. We have been back since and now I carry a gun at all times but have never had an encounter like that just sometimes it’s really still and creepy almost as your being watched. Heres my thing. Any place that claims to be haunted, and still has birds singing during the day is not haunted. Birds are the most skittish animals in the world, and they are not scared then you have no reason to be scared. I am from San Antonio btw. The toyota plant is literally down the street from it

    • @ghostgeeks
      @ghostgeeks  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      There’s actually a lot of folklore (at least with Choctaw natives) around birds and spirits. In my culture we believe cardinals represent close loved ones. When you see cardinals close to you, it is one of them checking on you.
      Birds really aren’t skittish because they have flight as an escape mechanism. I think everyone’s experience with birds is relative. If you go crashing through places like a drunk bull, everything will run away…but if you go in calm and with peace, your experience in nature will be very different….the same could be said for hauntings too, just because a place is haunted doesn’t mean it’s scary.

    I was there in 2019. I went with 7other people and we must’ve been there for a little bit over an hour and we waited a long time to see if something creepy would happen and nothing happened. When you go, it’s actually a very calm place. There’s no creepy vibes. It was so boring that my friends started telling scary stories, while we were sitting on the rail thingy of the bridge and then one got bored and decided to see if it can provoke whatever ghost or spirit that may be around and nothing happened. This was around 3am. It was really boring and a waste of my time. people really do over do this silly story about the donkey lady bridge. If y’all wanna go, then go but don’t be scared cuz nothings going to happen. Just prepare to be bored. Now one place i went that was really creepy was San Pedro park. I went with a total of 6people and one of my friends doesn’t believe in ghost and man once we were close to exiting the park she got kinda crazy and started to say dumb stuff to the ghost and I kid you not, white fog came out of no where and it smelled like donkey 💩. We freaked out and left. If you do research, people actually used donkey poop to cover up the smell of dead bodies because they would murder Indians and bury them.

      Yeah if you Google Applewhite Road and look at it on Google Maps and keep going south on the map, there's actually a little pin the little picture that says donkey lady Road and it's near the Medina River greenway. You'll see that on Google Maps too.

We have a group up in the DFW area near us and they have been described as a scream or crying sound….I’ve just never heard them myself.

      The donkey lady bridge is located off W Jett Road on the south west side of San Antonio. The bridge and road has been abandoned and is no longer a public road. A simple search shows this as the location as well and numerous other accounts, videos and images from the location.

      I couldn’t get any in my car radio or on the spirit box radio. It’s not a lie. I have dash cam footage of me running the scans of the radio from the car and not getting any radio stations to tune. Anything that comes across the waves is either so static filled you can’t make out what’s being said or it’s random sounds and cracks

    • @Teeleesom5

      I can attest to that. I took my kids when they were teenagers and my preteen cousin down there back in 2009 around Halloween time. It's generally in a radio dead spot. The farther out of town you got the less and less you heard anything out of any radio stations. There are no receivers out there.
