Helotes & boerne are not far west. they are far NW. I say this not to nitpick but because boerne is over 30 miles from the real far west side out at potranco/ 90 areas. A more accurate way to explain the areas would be N ( between 10 and 35), NW ( between 151 and 10 ) NE ( between 35 and 10 ) W ( between 151 and 90 ) SW (between 90/35) S ( between 35 and 37) and SE ( between 37 and 10 ) I've lived here my whole life and the difference in the subsectors is very much there. though most notable outside 410 ( at least between 90 and 35 on the northern side. life in the NW is going to be a different lifestyle than that of the W or N side. this is largely because the highways are like dividing lines and people don't usually go between them on the daily since they are so spread out. for example. Old town Helotes is a nice more laid back vibrant shopping place just past O'Connor HS, that people on the Far NW side can go to very easily, but someone from the N or W side might find it a hassle to get to & and you lumped them in the same region which might be a little misleading with how spread out things are, I've heard this kind of thing is even more extreme in other parts of town as well. just something to think about.
Yes I talk more about that in some of my newer videos. School districts haven’t really improved the last few years and real estate prices have gone up about 15% since I released this video
Easy. Look how many students graduate from collage and the SAT/ STAAR scores. Look at the neighborhood. Are their cheap, KB homes? Alamo Heights, Boerne, and Comal are the best. MacArthur, Reagan, and Johnson are great in NEISD. O'Connor is OK. According to teacher friends, lots of fights at the poorer middle schools and high schools, because invasion of gangs are allowed and poverty. Many students on their phones. The districts feel sorry for them? Many schools districts do not take education seriously, the schools are crowded, and they are babysitters. Many parents think working fast food or at HEB is a career. Keystone, St. Mary's, TMI, and St. Luke's are good private schools. Good Catholic schools like Antonian and St. Anthony's. One has to be wealthy to live in San Antonio and to live in a nice neighborhood. Still cheaper than Austin.
So where are the bad neighborhoods located? Here in Las Vegas all the Cali felons infested even the nice neighborhoods. I’m looking at Dallas/Ft Worth/ Tyler and San Antonio as my next move to raise a family

The reality is that despite the fact of a large military presence in San Antonio, the city is very much segreated and remains so to date. NW/NE mainly wealthy, Caucasian, retired generals/officers. East - predominantly African American, lower income; Westside - Military enlisted families, middle to lower income; SW/SE predominantly Latin, lower income with sporadic places being build to accomodate industrial sites and plants being built in that area. Downtown - mixture of wealth (Alamo Heights/Terrell Hills / Pearl-King William expensive), lower income more south of downtown. Boy, San Antonio Suburb selling houses. And two more people that have no clue. Yes, San Antonio was pretty much segregated in the first half of the 20th Century. East Side Black ( inside 410 now), West side, downtown to now 410 mostly Mexican, the rest, mostly white. All that changed when " urban renewal" happened with the coming of Hemisfair in the late 60s. Large swaths of old and some historic housing was leveled by the GGL, read Democrats under their false name. A mixture of Democrats, Socialists, and Communists which by law are not allowed to go by their actual party names took rise at this time. The inner west side was next for renewal during the 70s. You take people's houses and they have to go live somewhere else. San Antonio is very much diversified now with a mingling of all races and cultures, even the Mexican Mafia. Your chance of being mugged in the early 2000s were equal opportunity in all areas of the city. Now, since the late 80s all the illegal aliens have moved in with the aid of the Communist Council and they are disbursed equally throughout the city to this day. So you all get your stories together and remember, San Antonio has a past and a present, but no future with the Socialists and Communists running the city. A native.....

Hii! What are you opinions on the inner west side of san Antonio? Morales st? 😊
Hey Destiny! That is the exact area I used to work as a Police Officer and I loved that area. It reminds me of my old neighborhood where I grew up. The shallow west side is definitely starting the develop and gentrify. In those areas houses go for about 150k-200k and will make great rentals. Hope that helped!
Can you please do video of La Vernia/ Adkins/ Floresville?
Am i trippin or did you not mention how awful traffic on 35 north
I do mention that quite a bit about the traffic but the traffic is not as bad as the traffic on the northwest side
Also how did you not mention schertz and cibolo
I know I mention Schertz and Cibolo in so many other videos lol
Alamo Heights is not on Ghetto, East side :(
Your opinion on the converse area?
Converse location is very convenient because you have access to 1604 and a 10. To me it doesn’t have many amenities in the city of converse but proximity it’s really good
You also get a better value in a nicer home for a little bit less price compared to San Antonio
Great information. I’ll check that website as well.
Awesome! Let me know if you need anything else :)
Toyota down here on the Southside too.
Great video, would be interesting to hear about the school districts and real estate prices and prospects in these areas as well.
In most cities, street crimes happen with lower income areas. San Antonio is VERY spread out so there isn’t a cluster of bad areas like some other cities. Hope that helps!
San Antonio is probably the cheapest to live in( I’ve lived everywhere in Texas)
@@MrBjds totally agree! Don’t tell anybody else about San Antonio because it’ll get more expensive 🤣
When it comes to “bad areas” you’ll find more of them on the East/west side. North side is the “safest” buts also the most expensive.
I heard a ex la rams quarterback wife who were traded to montreal that she missed quiet sundays in LosAangeles and tacos SA what you say. Grandmother from el paso gf from smeltertown.
I work at xpo first year hear at Salinas CA and was thinking about transferring to San Antonio maybe the south side is it pretty decent that area. Truck driver at xpo logistics anything would help need info
Time is much slower on the southside, no one is in a hurry 😂 There is less traffic and better tacos there for sure.
Thank you for replying but is it safe I know theirs crime everywhere but is it one of the worst places or not that bad compare north side or east side
@@alfredonolasco3527 I think it’s neighborhood specific. Most of the comments say North side is the safest but there are some rough neighborhoods in the north side. Same with south side, there are comments on my other videos that say south is the worst, I’ve seen both bad and really nice neighborhoods in the south side.
I would drive around the different areas and look at the commercial stores around it. If you see Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s, you’re probably pretty safe. If you see closed gas stations and run down corner stores with graffiti, you should be careful. Hope that makes sense
Anywhere but Eastside, Northeast side, ghetto and high crime, brooks city base area is nice, clean, newly developed area, just minute's from down town
Very informative video, thank you for this.
Living in NW/NC/NE San Antonio is an entirely different World from SW/SC/SE San Antonio and both E-W-side have always been traditionally a mixture of middle-lower income.
Do you know which side Boeing building in San Antonio ?
Boeing is mainly building near the Kelly Air Force which is the shallow west side of San Antonio. They also have buildings on the east side of San Antonio. Hope that helps!
Are there any new home around Kelly Air Force ?
@@HienNguyen-yp7zs There is not any new construction immediately around the Old Kelly Air Force Base because it’s so close to downtown and the west side but just south of it there IS new construction. Median price point is 300k

What do you think about Hillcrest subdivision? It is on the West side of 1604 and next to 90.
I live in this area been there for 3yrs it's alot of neighborhoods popping up
Hey Teri! Homes we’re built in the early 2000’s, super east access to 1604 and Hwy 90 for a great price. It’s a great value for sure
Ft Sam Houston is not on the west side. It is on the east side. This guy does not know the city at all.
Each side is a bit different but I love them all.
I misspoke, yes for Sam is Center east in the city
From San Antonio I live on the NW side

@@SanAntonioSuburbs what I like is alot of stores/restaurants are nearby & they deliver, good companies like USAA are here & it's less barrio compared to South San Antonio as far as things I don't like is the constant highway interstate construction

Best place is on the far away side of SA.
People who live in the Northside tend to live 20 years longer. One has to send their children to Boerne, Alamo Heights, or Johnston/Reagan to get a decent public education. Comal ISD is still OK. Stay North of 1604 to stay with professional people, unless you want to pay $20,000+ in property taxes in '09.
Lots of aggressive drivers who appear to be transplants. Long wait at hospitals, as their appear to be a lot of illegals.

"Cultural differences"? San Antonio used to be segregated
Not sure what you mean
@@SanAntonioSuburbs these cultural differences didn't happen organically
A native.....

i moved out of san antonio in 2016 once i finished my masters at UTSA and got a job in dallas. every time i return to san antonio i am disappointed. it used to be a unique city with a small town vibe, now it represents everything i hate about living in dallas. terrible traffic and a never ending development and destruction of the once beautiful land. the charm is gone and has been replaced by corporate consumerism and cookie cutter suburban sprawl.
